Poor Service Experience. Weve been ADT customers for 13 years and experienced no customer service issues. We upgraded our system, and have had the worst service experience with ADT. The installers lacked professionalism, did not wear masks as outlined in their policy (subsequently one of the technicians tested positive for COVID-19), they were slow to respond/follow up, and the equipment continues to generate false alarms on the keypad. The customer loyalty department has made multiple attempts to help address our bad experiences, which is greatly appreciated. However, I would not recommend ADT as a home security solution based on this experience, especially given the fact you are committed to a relationship with them through a long term contract.

I work at Maaco and we recently had cameras installed on our buildings. When they were installing them the techs left a ladder up on our building and it blew over on my truck knocking off my mirror and scratching my door. The techs were very apologetic and gave me their bosses name and number said to contact him to have the damages taken care of. His name was Thad. I contacted him immediately and he was friendly and said it was a third party company that would reach out to me... several days went by and I heard nothing. So I called him back to be sent to voicemail with a text that said I’ll call you back, again several days went by and he didn’t so I called him again and left him a message and later that day he called and said he was sorry he had to fill out the paperwork for the other company and said they would be reaching out to me. That was a week ago... this is going on 4 weeks now and I’m a little upset. I’m going to call the company to see if they can help and if not my next call is to a lawyer. Very disappointed.UPDATE!!!I emailed that address...they responded with the claim has been submitted and they’ll reach out to me if they need me... the claim was submitted 5 weeks ago... I think it’s sad that you just pass the responsibility with something like this... I will be filing a suit on Monday if something isn’t done.

We recently upgraded our ADT system. Our tech was extremely professional, thorough and friendly. Very impressed with everything that ADT is able to offer and we had a great customer experience from start to finish.

This is the 2nd time i signed on with adt. I feel a lot safer in my home as my neighborhood is seeming to be riddled with more problems that our police department isnt what it used to be and i was having damage to my property. This gives me so much peace of mind that i can sleep at night knowing they will monitor and my equipment wont fail me. I had left a door unlocked once and wind blew it open. I. was at work and panikking but police arrived and checked it out

The tech repair came out, he worked on my system and updated it. His name is Jason. He is by far the most professional tech I have ever met. On Time, Great manners, Very knowledgeable, he knew his stuff. My system work great. I have been an Adt customer since 1988. I recommend them to anyone. Anytime I have a question on anything and I call them they are always good people to talk to.

I gave 1star to the guy who came out. Zero stars to the company in general. Was told we would only be seeing the product and be told what they could offer us and if we decided to go with it they would install at that time. The lady on the phone said we was getting a $1800 credit and only going to pay $27 for service a month. Ha when the guy got here he told us it would be $400 up front then we would be paying $56 a month for service and when we decided we wasn’t going to go with it the guy became persistent on trying to get us to sign up. He called his boss to get better deals and we continue to tell him no we did not want the service. So then the guys boss wanted to talk to me. When he spoke to me he was very rude he chewed me out told me that why would I have someone come out to the house if I wasn’t interested. We told him that we was interested but due to the price increase we decided that we was not interested at this time. So the guy continue to chew me out. Horrible costumer service.

We have been very happy with ADT as our security provider. Customer service is incredible and always helpful. They solve issues quickly and efficiently. We love being able to have remote access to our security system as well. Thank you Mr. Roy for your time and patience with all of our security questions.

Signed up for a free quote, received a call from a rep asking questions, was then transferred to another department to talk to a “security specialist“, after a 20 minute wait a guy answered and said I was sent to the wrong department, after a second transfer and another 10 minute wait a gentleman answered and said the only way I could get pricing was to run my credit or have a field rep come out, after I said I just want pricing the agent hung up the phone and I never got a call back. Complete joke, don’t waste your time, choose another company

Terrible equipment even worse customer service. Was promised so much stuff to get them in the house then everything changed when came time to sign that contract. Wanted to cancel due to very poor service equipment within the first 30 days and they said I couldn’t they would send a technician who literally did nothing at all. This place is a joke. Go to vivint.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!I called ADT to know why they charged me again for the relocation move and also found out that I am in their system for my new location. After speaking with someone from this department for over 45 minutes explaining everything including answering all of his questions, he told me to hold and after 2-3 min I had someone else answer my phone doesnt know anything about my case and I needed to talk another 30 minutes on the phone and they still didnt solve my issue. Very hard to deal with and I wouldt recommend them to anyone!

I called and they said they would give me a 1900 dollar equipment credit for service and that I would be able to get everything that I would need with that credit. They say the guy that comes out would have a marked adt truck, show two forms of Id at the door, and etc. The guy that showed up was nice but told me that I would owe 4000 dollars on top of a 500 dollar charge to install automation which was never mentioned. They try and trick you on the phone into getting something into their service by this method. Would not recommend.

I called ADT because I had had a recent break in. The sales rep that came out was very understanding and willing to work with me since I had just opened my business. Long story short they met my needs and installed it two hours later! I would highly recommend them here locally. Great group of people!

This review comes 3 years late. When we bought our house, 2 salespeople came to our house claiming the realtor recommended them. I spoke to the realtor later and she said that wasnt true, they just used public knowledge to figure out who recently bought houses.The salespeople showed us the equipment and claimed the contract would last for 2 years. When they brought the contract to our house the next day, it actually said 3 years but we didnt catch it. Monthly payments were $60. They also didnt say that to get out of the contract, we would owe 75% OF EVERY MONTH LEFTOVER!!! When it came time to move, we owed approximately $600. You can transfer the contract to another address but the term starts over. By then, we had enough.As far as the actual product, it worked ok except for the stupid FOB that would arm itself in your pocket. Twice we had police with dogs come to the house mistakenly. Know that there are other products out there with very low and/or nonexistent monthly payments that work just as well.Never getting ADT again. Arm yourselves with knowledge and dont let pushy salesmen tell you what you should buy.

Ive worked with Roy for awhile now and hes the definition of a former Marine. Hes a straight shooter, wont waste your time, will get the job done, and do it fairly. Hes a great choice for any security need you may have.

ADT and their installation agents have been a disaster from day 1 for us. We moved to Cincinnati in 2017 and unluckily picked up ADT as our security provider because of an Advertisement that really misrepresented their monthly charge($19.99 pm). When the installation guys came they said that was a basic charge and for us the charges will be close to $50+ pm, because we are using some features that are not part of the basic deal! By then the installation agents are already at your house and it is a chargeable visit, so we went ahead with it.I told them that we will be leaving Cincinnati in two years, but they still put us on a 3 year contract. No paperwork is given, everything is signed on a tablet, so you dont really know what is happening! When the time came for us to leave, they said that we cannot get out of our contract and that it would cost us a one time charge for all the remaining months of the contract- around $600+ ! Big mistake, never again! No wonder the new startups are running circles around ADT.

Absolute worst customer service Ive ever experienced. It has taken my ex wife and I over 4 months to try and get our account switched over to her name. Today, we have been on the phone over 3 hours and have been cold transferred at least 5 times. We have been told a different solution almost every time we have called. This is an absolute joke. I will never use ADT services again.

Read Your Contract CarfullyRead cancelation clause and or automatic renewal clauses. Very costly to cancel. I would recommend getting as short of a contract as possible. When your free equipment breaks it is very costly to have it fixed, replaced and reprogrammed. Chances are you will need service on your equipment during your contract. Ask the cost of a service charge.

Roy Utley came out to give us a commercial quote and he was so impressive. Did you know that ADT has never had a death due to fire, I thought that was amazing. Roy explained everything to us and it was no brainer from that point on. If he could tell us about sprinklers, alarms, cameras and all the rest we figured he was the one to service our account.

My car was stolen yesterday. Bad enough. On top of that I have a ADT key fob thing in the car where the security system can be turned off without knowing the code. Well the thieves know my address from my car registration and have my garage door opener. So I call ADT, explain the situation, and tell them I need the key fobs deactivated. They tell me I need to be at the panel so they can walk me through resetting everything. So you are telling me my family and house are in jeopardy because I have to be at the security panel to just stop the key fobs from working!!!??? Fine whatever...Im pissed off a little, but I get home call ADT again, but this time Im told that they have to send a technician out to do this and charge me $90. So not only does your security system and technology you sell SUCK and have a MAJOR security WEAKNESS to it, but your also going to make me pay for your shortcomings. ADT would not waive the fee even after I expressed that they are risking losing a customer of many years. With that ADT demonstrated that their customers mean nothing to them, they do not stand behind their products/services, and their ultimate concern with my safety (i.e. what their whole business is built on) is nonexistent. If you need a home security system, do yourself a favor and skip ADT.#adt#feelsafe#notfeelsafeADT

3rd (third) work order AGAIN today (10/24/2017 ) in 8 days on NEW ADT security system installed ONLY 8 DAYS AGO; This is Ridiculous, Un-professional and Very Poor Service. I requested this morning to have my Installation fee of $200. credited AFTER 3 times (3x) meeting them at our home and 2 police officers at door 6 days ago, I feel This WAS A MORE THAN FAIR Solution. They gave me a $9.00 Credit ???-Seriously? When I contacted customer service again, She ( Agent) was Very Un-professional and QUITE RUDE as I asked for THE NEW ADT System to Please Just be removed so I could contract with Another Security Company...... She stated I Had NO Choice for the next 3 years ??? Really ??? Also ADT RE-USED THE MAIN KEYPAD & 4 DOOR CONTACTS from Our Old Security System that WAS NOT EVEN an ADT Co & OVER 10 YEARS OLD. This is Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE and PITIFUL on ADTs Part. ( When we had then back in the 1990s I considered then an A+ Company....I Honestly Dont know what to make of ADT know? )

I have had ADT for years and was moving. Gary Turner from ADT called me and said that if the new owner signed up with ADT that the new owner would get $50 and I would get $50. This turned out to be a lie. I received a call from a lady who told me that they could not do this.
