I cannot say enough good things about the owner at Honest-1 Auto Care Fairfax.My car wouldnt start twice yesterday morning, and I was in the area when it happened, so I called Mark at Honest-1. He had me come right in so he could test the battery, which was the problem. Not only did he have a new one delivered right away, he did an impromptu oil change while we waited.People are so quick to post negative reviews, and I just wanted to say something positive about a great man with a great business.Im glad I was nearby, and Im grateful for Mark and his amazing customer service!

Mark is courteous and takes the time to deal with my trucks needs even when its obvious hes very busy.I came in for a simple oil change, there were easily 20 cars in the lot for repair.Instead of dropping it off and having to come back later, my truck was on the lift and out in a little over 30 minutes.Thank you Mark for great customer service. Saw Mark and his team to determine why my A/C was blowing hot sometimes. I appreciate that they wanted to test to see if they could figure out the problem in a cost effective way instead of automatically changing out the whole system. I had to go back 2 more times, but they figured out the issue and I wasn’t charged an arm and a leg. I’m very pleased with the professionalism, as well.

Honest-1 on Wooster Pike is the best mechanic shop I’ve ever been to. Mark makes the name Honest-1 a true trait. He goes above and beyond for his customers. Mark and his team went to great lengths to help get my car fixed. When they ran into another issue, they found a solution for me that wasnt going to break the bank! My car is now check engine light free and running great! I highly recommend this shop for your repairs.

First off for starters this place felt like home!!!! It was very comfortable and welcoming and I’ve never in my life got that feeling from an auto repair business. Normally auto repair shops feel like men only clubs and it never feels inviting. I lovedddddddd the awesome customer service !! The manager was very open and attentive to my needs, he offered me tea, coffee, and snacks as I waited. Furthermore he offered to lend me a ride back to work while my car was being serviced and more so he said come Spring 2019 they will have a loaner car for customers to use. Okay back to the store it had a children’s play area !!!! Wow you heard me right this was the first time in my life I’ve seen an auto shop accommodate children!! And ya moms know how anxious and impatient kids can be while having the car worked on. This place also offers WiFi AND a charger station !!!! Like you have to be kidding me this place was totally unbelievable and their furniture is not only beautiful but it’s also comfortable. It has a family bathroom with a changing table and a normal size restroom !! Mind blowing you guys !! This place is family oriented and it gives off a homey atmosphere. I’d highly recommend this auto shop to ANYONE who wants to be treated with dignity and respect and not by a push over. Did I mention I was able to get a sweet deal on a synthetic blend oil change and wheel alignment??! Don’t believe me then come check this place out yourself!!

The owner Mark lives up to the name of his Company, he was completely honest and wasnt trying to rope me in or convince me to make unnecessary repairs to my car. He is a very trustworthy mechanic and will be doing business with him for a long time.

My husband just took our Ford Focus there for a headlight change. Everywhere else had quoted $75-170 because it apparently required some taking apart. Mark said it may be $70 if they have to take the bumper and parts off, but mark and his tech did some digging and the tech got it out, and they replaced it with the new bulb we had for free. My husband tried to offer him something, but he declined. Such a nice place. Honesty and quality that you don’t find in many mechanics!

Mark and his team were extremely professional. I had a bunch of questions for them and they were able to answer them all and diagnose my vehicle correctly. I will absolutely be returning here for future service and repairs.

Mark from Honest-1 Auto is the most trustworthy mechanic Ive ever had the pleasure of working with. hes never once pushed me to do repairs that werent needed, and has saved me mobey several times. I was convinced my car needed a new transmission but he took it in, looked around, cleaned it and repaired it without needing to replace any parts. Runs perfectly.

I came in for an oil change and tire rotation. Service was done quickly and Mark was super helpful when I had questions afterward about an unrelated issue. I will for sure be keeping this auto shop on my radar for future needs.

I had a shop tell me I needed a whole new engine so I came here for a second opinion. I only needed 2 spark plugs connected and they did it for free! I tried to give him something but he insisted it was free! They are honest and trustworthy at this shop!

I made an appointment to have a safety check done on my truck with slide in camper before a roadtrip. On my way to Honest-1 I lost most use of my brakes! I needed a brake line replaced. Mr. Riffle replaced the brake line, inspected everything else and gave suggestions for a spring that should be replaced in the future. He could have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge, he did not. He told me my truck was safe. The spring could be replaced later down the line. I appreciate his honesty and integrity.

I took my car in after my Check Engine light started flashing whenever I accelerated or went even remotely uphill. I found out it from a family friend might be an issue with the valve gaskets leaking oil into the area where the spark plugs are, and it was going to be a $700 dollar repair (the engine on my car is built uniquely). After a couple of days, I received a call from Mark and he told me the real issue was a bad ignition coil in the 5th cylinder and the repair ended up costing me around $150 dollars. I dont think many other shops wouldve checked again and let me know it was something else. They live up to the name Honest - 1, and when my car needs repairs, Im coming back here.

Great service. Super polite and friendly. Went in because my battery kept needing to be jumped. Tested at a auto parts shop and was told my alternator failed. Mark tested as well and was concerned they were right. He was able to get me in the next day and quoted me a price. He called me back the next day and the price was less than one third what he had quoted me. Turns out it the battery was so dead it was giving a false negative for the alternator. Instead of trying to RIP me off and changing the alternator then telling me that driving on a bad alternator for too long ruined the battery, he just fixed what was wrong. He has a customer for life!

The customer service was great and the one year road side assistance was certainly unexpected. If not for the road side assistance I would have a problem with all the extra charges in addition to the oil change (labor, hazardous materials, etc...). I dont have these charges at my normal place. Other than that everything was fantastic. Thanks for your great customer service and I will see you at my next oil change.

Had to have my car towed here after stalling out on the highway, despite words of a different mechanic telling me the car wasnt able to be easily fixed but still safe to drive. Clearly they were wrong. The guys working here listened to what I had to say and took the time to properly diagnose my car and fix the problem. Everything they said to me they made sure I understood and didnt talk to me like I was stupid, despite being a female college student. Now my car is fixed after previously thinking Id have to spend a fortune, and they sent me on my merry way! I would definitely come back.

Very professional and courteous. Wonderful service and good price. All service comes with a 3 yr warranty at no extra charge. My car had been making an odd noise for at least 6 mos and I could feel something, give, in the front left wheel when turning but it was intermittent. I took it to the dealership and one other shop but both found nothing wrong. Neither of them wanted to let me drive with a mechanic to make sure they heard what I heard. At Honest-1, they did. He heard the noise and immediately diagnosed the problem. Turns out it was pretty dangerous to be driving it. I am very thankful they listened to me. I wont be going elsewhere.

I am nervous taking my car into the shop! Every time I take it in, they always find extra things that need repaired. So I tried Honest 1. I knew I needed new tires and brakes and that is all they told me I needed! I was in and out in 1 1/2 hours and the price was very reasonable! The waiting area is very clean, they have wifi and a desk area if you need to work. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back and I highly recommend anyone give them a try!

Honest. I took my wifes car regard break concerns. They were able to see me the day I called and after looking g and driving the car said there was nothing wrong. They sprayed the breaks and all was good.

Unfortunately, I was not informed of the price before the work was done and did not know that the amount upcharged for parts would be included within the price of the part itself instead of a separate fee, but overall a pleasant experience. Diagnostic is free which is very helpful, but more transparency within the billing process would likely help avoid future confusion.University of Cincinnati college attendees can also benefit from their new discount made specifically for UC students.
