I love this place. So Many amazing books. Plus theres a nice cool little Cafe connected to it

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Seeing a section of Staff picks that includes a brief narrative about the book is a nice touch.

Not a whole lot of options in terms of books to buy that are worth it in terms of price versus selection. Being in the Rookwood Commons area It can get a little pricey for the books. If does have a small restaurant inside the bookstore and there is also a coffee bar that serves alcoholic drinks.I was not impressed with the gentleman who kept following the 3 of us around, that rode together in the same car and watching us take drinks and reminding us that we were supposed to keep our masks on last time in between sips. Honestly we werent even near anybody else. This guy literally was following us around at one point seeking us out.

I love this place and Love that it is independently owned. But in the half hour that I was there I had at least eight!!!! employees come up to me and ask me if I needed help finding something, while I understand it is a bookstore I feel that it was a bit excessive and some people just like to browse. It came off a bit like the employees thought I was being suspicious and that’s why they kept checking in on me. Please work on this. That is why I rated only three out of five stars.

Todays visit wasnt planned, but we needed to find something local and unique to give to our neighbors who are watching our cat while we visit family.This isnt the first time Ive visited, but it has been about 15 years. It was good to see that they were still in business.They have a good selection of keepsakes, books, games, cards and space to sit and enjoy them.My wife found a few must-have items to purchase with her Christmas gift money and we purchased a kentucky bourbon candle.It was good.

A lovely, unique bookstore! Ive wanted to visit after seeing several author meet and greets (pre COVID) happening here. Its an absolute wonder. I love the style and feel - it feels a little like an old library. Its comfortable and well stocked with popular titles and other lesser known titles. They dont just sell books, they also have games, puzzles, stationary and a cafe. I would highly recommend any book nerd check this place out.

Love this independent bookstore. Brontes cafe is a great place for B-L-D. Offers a variety of vegan and vegetarian choices, cocktails, coffee drinks, and friendly service. The bookstore has a large selection of magazines, wide variety of books, and excellent childrens section. They also have a variety of gifts, including items from local artists and small businesses. Cincinnati has some excellent independent bookstores. Please support them!

How is it I havent already reviewed this place? Huge space with books of course but also gifts, games and more. Bronte Bistro sets a nice vibe and the kids have their own book store. If you are looking for new or classic title shop here (Rookwood). If you are looking for the rare and unusual go to Ohio Bookstore downtown. Both are great for totally different reasons.

I adore this bookstore. Its so grand and elegant inside. They have a stellar selection with new arrivals coming in constantly. If by some chance they dont have what youre looking for, its very easy and quick to order it in for you to pick up. Shop local!

Knowledgeable staff, great selection, and wonderful environment to browse for my next book. I can go to the bistro or get a beverage at the cafe. They also have a great childrens book and merchandise area. While it is not as convenient as I would like, I will often make the drive.

I LOOOOOOVE this bookstore and ESP, I have been meaning to write a review about this beautiful friend of mine, Sabine! I love her!! I met her months if not a year ago. And she always brings a smile to my face!!! She makes drinks at Brontes Bistro! I tell her every time I have great encounters w her, “I’ll write a review!!” Today my dearest Sabine was having a day! I literally heard the manager go ON and ON about her after she left… This is NOT okay!!!!! This beautiful woman is young and very sweet!! The manager had differences w her and I heard the backend. Sorry but this is NOT how you treat someone who is soooo stellar; has gone above and beyond for me me several times!! and is the reason, or at least a shining part of my experience at Joseph Beth!! I hope Sabine finds a new path that encourages her and gives her amazing support!!

Love this bookstore. They have an incredible selection of books, but also gifts and the space is beautiful in itself. I love this place, but my favorite thing about the bookstore are the book events. Ive been to two so far, but the last one was the first one I went to at the bookstore. Despite the large crowds, I had a great time and got to meet Chrissy Metz in-person. They have been unforgettable experiences and I highly recommend going to one. If you really love books, I would join their membership club to get extra perks, including early access to the line for these events. That alone is worth it.

One of the best bookstores I have ever been to. They had a wonderful selection, and the largest childrens book and toy section I have ever seen. I wish I lived closer, I would go here all the time.

Amazing bookstore with helpful and knowledgeable workers. They have a nice mix of local and more mainstream books, as well as local made goods from Rookwood Pottery and others. It is a large place, but feels small and intimate. Would highly recommend!

Loved this local bookstore so much that I bought a few things and signed up for a membership! I was impressed to find a hard-to-find compilation of tales from travelers in Japan in the same store as a very popular, new dessert cookbook. JB Booksellers has a fantastic selection and the staff working the checkout were super nice.

There is a large inventory for those who still like the feel of a book in their hands. Associates are friendly and helpful and its a pleasure just to be able to browse available books.

I needed a book for one of my classes and i couldnt find it anywhere else but here! Sadly, they didnt have it in stock but they very quickly ordered it for me and now in just waiting for their call! They also have an amazing selection of any type of book that youd ever want!

I used to love this place and visited very frequently however upper management failures have resulted in rabid turnover of very good staff. The uniqueness of this place used to be a staff made up of writers, artists, musicians and actors - interesting people in a bookstore/cafe. But the focus from the top is ruining the vibe of this place. What a shame.

Brontes @ Joseph Beth is a lovely, deliscious way to spend an afternoon! Our service was great and the food delicious! I have never in my life had clam chowder! Suggested to us and I tried it for the 1st time ever! Absolutely, the best creamy soup EVER! COMPLIMENTS TO CHEF JASON!

Love getting new books!!

We love the total atmosphere, the books of all genres, the service, the cafe and the Bistro. The childrens section is wonderful with something for all ages. It was the first business my husband and I went to when stores were allowed to reopen after the lockdown. It was safe and gave that feeling of the eternities that all the best bookstores give. It remains one of our best treats and safe havens all in one

There arent many independent bookstores left. Heck, there arent many bookstores left at all. But this is consistently one of the best. Good selection. helpful staff.

My city doesn’t have indie bookstores, so I always visit Joseph Beth when I’m in Cincy. The booksellers are awesome, and their events in the BEFORE TIMES brought in a lot of great writers.

Thouroughly disappointed. The one in Crestview Hills had so much more items besides books to choose from. Also customer service wasnt the best. I was walking around saying I was looking for Willow Tree items and the worker who heard me didnt bother to tell me where they were. I almost left without buying a $44 item. I found it in my own with no help from her. However, the young man at the cash register was a phenomenal customer service rep. Very personable and helpful.

Fantastic bookstore. Big enough with enough books to rival the big bookstores. The employees are warm and friendly and very quick to help out with whatever they can. We were even able to buy a drink and wander the bookstore with a drink. Definitely worth a visit and a membership!

One of the last book stores in the city, and has always been one of the best. They have a great section for kids. Store is clean, organized, staff is friendly and helpful (and patient with my sometimes loud kids). Make sure to visit and support them at least once per month! We need to keep physical book stores in business!

I used to go to Joseph-Beth because it is a relaxing atmosphere and its fun to visit. However, over the last several months and years I have noticed an increasing number of tables prominently displaying political literature to the point that its overwhelming. As a retail establishment I believe you should welcoming of all beliefs and endorse materials representing all sides of the political spectrum or none at all. I have progressively left feeling angry and dissatisfied and will be taking a break from shopping at Joseph- Beth as I dont feel welcome.

We love, love, love this bookstore. They have incredibly help staff who are always ready with a recommendation. The kids and young adult book sections are wonderful with a huge selection. While you are there, you should enjoy The Bistro restaurant inside. We love their brunch selections.

While the store was busy with holiday shoppers the line to check out was organized, moved smoothly and the staff was courteous and friendly.

A chain bookstore that still has a good selection but I was saddened to see games and other things take over so much of the floor space. Also there were shelves that were just empty. Not being moved, not recently emptied just empty because they didn’t have enough stock. Also be prepared to pay suggested retail price.

We love Jo Beth Booksellers! The associated are friendly and helpful. We love the kids section especially. Great selection. Wonderful authors that they invite for events. Great gift options from books to socks to games to costumes and puppets. We love it! The location is also a bonus situated right next to great food and shopping options.

Joseph-Beth is a great bookstore! Its a great space with great zoning for each section with seating throughout to read before you buy, they have a great selection of books, gifts, cards, and more to choose from, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have an awesome kids section with books, toys, and a fun play area. I highly recommend visiting/shopping here all-around.

Expensive but staff is friendly. Love going to storytime with my son. We go so much staff practically knows him, and thats what I appreciate most. Hell run from the kids store to the bistro to get an apple juice, all the while staff commenting on wondering when they were going to see him again! And there are great events as well. You may go to buy books, but you definitely keep returning because of the staff.

My wife and I have always enjoyed our visits for a meal at Bronte Bistro, followed by browsing and usually buying multiple items from the bookstore.*I don’t feel like I nailed the grammar on this post. Me thinks I ought to read more of the books I’ve purchased.

A great place to brouse for reading material, get a coffee or have a meal. They have adequately made covid adjustments, although I have not eaten in a restaurant since covid.

Pretty standard Joseph-Beth, lots of newer books ranging all genres. Not my first pick for a bookstore (can get pretty pricey) but its a nice place to shop and spend time with yourself.

Magical bookstore with a lovely childrens section. Unique toys and all the books you would ever want. We could spend hours looking around. Dont forget to snag some tea cookies on your way out, theyre amazing.

One of the last bookstores left in Cincinnati. As fair warning their prices are high but keep in mind this is an independent bookseller. They also have a full restaurant (Brote Bistro), which is very good. During the holidays they really make that store feel warm and cozy. They do Christmas just right.

This bookstore is idyllic. Two floors of books, a lot of charming locally made gifts, a delicious cafe are only some of the reasons I love it. Its the one place in Cincy I can usually find even my obscure favorites alongside hype new books and beloved classics
