I could not get enough of this adorable place! And when I learned they had an online store and they donate the number of books bought to kids in need I just fell in love! I found some books for my toddler of course! But they also have an adult and YA selection as well. They have all of the book nerd things like pins, buttons, and bookmarks that you could ever need! Check it out!

What a great store! Staff are friendly and helpful, happy to discuss books and make suggestions, and they obviously care about what they do.

What a marvelous, magical little bookstore! Brings out the imagination, has a delightful selection of toys, and best of all has regular readings and signings with authors and illustrators! I loved it. My kids are a little too young to care/have opinions but I can’t wait for them to get older and get excited to explore the climb through train and little cushioned reading tree!

I love Blue Manatee!! Its great that you can order just about any book from them and still support a local bookstore and literacy project. There were several books that I wanted to give as gifts for Christmas, so I ordered them from Blue Manatee a few weeks ahead of time, they sent an email when they had arrived, and then delivered them via local courier. It was convenient, and I dont think youll get more personal service anywhere else!

First time visiting! The store itself if wonderful! The book selection has such a nice variety, on all subjects! The store is very charming! It was a clean and fun environment! There was only one lady working the floor/register, I was very put off by her, just wasn’t a very friendly interaction, which I would’ve hoped for out of a children’s book store. Maybe she was just having a rough day, I understand we all have tough days, we all have something going on. Still disheartening though, I was hoping for a warmer, positive attitude from a children’s book store representative. Overall though, the store is very wonderful, and I love being able to buy books while helping others in need!

This bookstore is a wonderful place. I stopped in to buy some gifts and the selection was excellent! The books were varied and the staff was friendly and helpful in picking something out. When I found out the shop is a nonprofit that donates books where they are needed I was even more impressed! I think they also have events here and if I had a young one I would definitely check them out.

This is a great bookstore. The book selection is great and staff is very helpful! Ive brought my kids here a few times for story times. They have story time every weekday at 10am. Story time is always a bit crowded but lots of fun. They sing songs with lots of motions and the story books often are a bit interactive too. Lots of fun for kids and parents.

This place is adorable! They have books and book-like gifts (book character stuffed animals, journals, puzzles, make-your-own book kits, etc.) for children of all ages. I was able to find appropriate things for kids from 1-8 years old, very easily. The staff is friendly and offered to help me, but the store is laid out pretty intuitively and I didnt need help.They also have a fantastic storytime for the little ones at 10am. It seems to be pretty popular, so get there early for a good seat! Youll know how busy when you see the outdoor stroller parking!!

Great kids book store with friendly staff and awesome story time. They have story time focused for different age groups but anyone can join. They also being authors in for signing and reading. I would highly recommend.

Their story times are hidden treasures. If you have little ones, Miss Sarah and Miss Alicia will not disappoint! The layout of the store is magical to even the adult eye. I cant imagine how it would be walking into this place as a child. Better than a candy store, maybe?

We don’t live in town but try to come here every time we’re there. It’s a perfect little book shop. I love to read the walls and my daughter always finds so many great books.

Love this store. They have a great selection of childrens books, and an inviting atmosphere that makes it easy to hangout with the kids and let them explore. Theres also a cafe inside that serves awesome smoothies.

Ive always loved this bookstore but it seems to be going downhill. The decafe is now closed which was half the reason we liked to stop by, I cant imagine that they will continue to do the same amount of business without a place for the parents to grab coffee. The book selection also seems sparse these days and for the first time ever, we left without making a purchase. I hope to see Blue Manatee stay open but they are definitely going to need to make some improvements!

This is a great neighborhood place to come to buy books for your children. They have an awesome staff who will take the time to understand your needs and make careful recommendations for you. Although I love and support Joseph-Beth up the street, you cant beat TBMs service.

Great local bookstore in Oakley with a new location just down the street from the old. They have good childrens story time events. Wish they had carved out a bigger space for story time in the new space; its a bit cramped.

Great place for books and gifts for kids.

Used to be one of our favorite places to go for storytime but the new store is smaller and more cramped, makes it nearly impossible to actually enjoy with the amount of kids and very little space. Sad because we loved the old store!

Wide selection, fun feel. Maybe a little higher prices. I dont think they do returns, just store credit.
