Great selection of craft beer. Owner and service are top notch!

Great little bar - which has had a decent amount of tables each time weve been. Sometimes we come here just to drink and eat, other times, its a fall back when Mochiko is jammed full - but in any event, always a good time here. staff is friendly, and there is a municipal parking lot across the street in case all the meters are full.

So many taps, a great selection for any beer drinker to choose from. Excellent service, and plenty of options for non beer drinkers. Also has plenty of take home options beyond Growler fillings. The best part is the rotation of the menu.

Recently the Growler House had a change in management. At first I thought this was a good thing. They began to have a better lineup of beers on tap, a decent selection of bourbon to pick from, and even began a weekly mug club. Sadly though, Ive noticed several negative changes as well in the past month or so. For starters the music in the bar is entirely too loud. You can barely have a conversation with anyone and I felt like I had to yell at the bartender to order a drink. I have also heard from residents that live above the bar that the music volume is a real issue and can be heard clearly in their apartments to the point that they have had to place multiple complaints on the bar. To me this is just a total lack of respect for the residents that live there. Also, from speaking with residents, I learned there were several nights the bar was breaking the 10pm curfew and operating well past midnight. Secondly, I have seen the new owner several times appearing to be drunk behind the bar, drinking while working, and basically treating the place as if it was his own personal bachelor pad. In my eyes this is very unprofessional and I am sad to see this place be reduced to this level. Because of all this I cannot recommend spending your hard earned money here.

This is one of my favorite bar in Walnut Hills. Theyve got a great beer selection - for which bartenders are very knowledgeable and always make great recommendations (Aaron is my favorite). I also appreciate the Covid safety measures they’ve put in place and feel very comfortable enjoying a couple drinks when I need to get out of the house. I highly recommend!

I’ve been going to the Growler House for nearly 6 years. They opened about the same time I moved to this neighborhood. The current ownership/management has bettered the establishment. For example, they are now open on Mondays which is mug club night. They also have domestics and seltzers. Thoughtful beer selection, good conversation and walkability keeps me coming back. A fixture in the neighborhood.

Awesome Bar!!! Bartenders are all exceptionally well versed in the beer they serve. Contrary to what some former reviews have said I have never noticed the music to be too loud here. The bartenders are always attentive and can easily hear you over whatever sound they have on whether it be sports or music. They’ve also spread out their tables and added plexiglass dividers at the bar to help during the pandemic! Overall great local hotspot! Highly recommend!

Great local spot that offers the chance to try a lot of different beers both on draft and in cans. A wide array of local and not so local beers gives everyone a chance to find something that they enjoy. Both my GF and I are always able to find something both in house and to go that we love.

Love the atmosphere and beer selection!

Growler House is great! We stopped in for about 45 minutes and it had a low key sorts bar vibe. The bartender had awesome knowledge of the beers they had on tap and it had a good amount of liquor and wine available as well, if you arent a big beer drinker. Prices were good, they have happy hour twice a night so you can get a good deal at basically any time.

Mike is an awesome bartender. Casual, funn, local bar with a good selection. Bring or deliver the food of your hearts desire.

I have a great experience every time i visit the the Growler House. They have a wide variety to choose from. At least 30 beers on tap at all times. They have Trivia Night on Wednesday I believe and other promotions from local breweries and some others. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about what they do. Dog friendly. Enjoy

Interesting review from Allen Voter three years ago about growler fillings, I also had a weird experience with my growler - recently I went in to the Growler House because it was on the way home. The manager refused to fill my 128 ounce growler. She insisted it was impossible to charge me for two growlers, sometimes math is tough. She insisted it was impossible for to click 64 ounce growler at the register, and then click the same button a second time.Seems like a nice enough place, just writing this review to warn potential customers that if you are going there for a growler, despite the brewery name, you may have a tough time.

My favorite bar in town. Good place to watch games. Tuesday night trivia is big. My friends bring their dog. With 30 beers on tap there is something good for everyone. They also have a gluten free option always on tap (tap #25), which is normally a cider. The bar manager is super awesome. I have held events here and they were really accommodating.

What a fantastic place. It’s one of my favorites in all of Cincy. It blows my mind that it has been around for over 4 years and I just found it less than 7months ago. However I have made up for it in that time. Stop in and check them out. Tons of local brews on tap and a great staff.

Absolutely hands down the best bar in the city for beer. Sure, it doesnt have 1000000 taps, but they serve the best beers from the city and around the world here. The bar tenders are experts on beer and they can help you decide which delicious brew you want next. Absolutely recommended.

Been there three times now. I love it! Dont go for the limited food menu. Go for the straight on beer experience!! They have about 40 taps and always a great selection. I dont typically order flights, but I do when I go here because of the great selection of rotating taps. Dont forget to take your growler! You will certainly want to take advantage of their good pricing on some take away craft brew.

The Growler House is a small place with several tables inside and a few small tables out front. There is a great selection of beer and a knowledgeable staff to help you make a great choice of one of the local beers. There isnt any food served at the Growler House, but several of the local restaurants will deliver.

Comfortable neighborhood bar with a ton of beers, dog biscuits and Jenga. Always have a great time here. And I bring my golden retriever with me every time I visit.

Service can be a bit slow, but the selection is good.They end up having quite a few bottles of rare things on hand. They also have a cooler of cold beer in the back that isnt well advertised.The food isnt real great. Its a standard reheated option from Gilpins which a lot of places around town have. Its kind of expensive for what it is.Their beer deals on Sunday are great though. Nice spot to stop by if you are at Woodburn around the corner.

Ive stopped by the Growler House a few times since theyve opened and I have to say that I think this is one of my new favorite craft beer stops in Cincinnati. When you walk in the first thing youre greeted by are the giant chalkboards with the important information, the beer on draft. For those who might be overwhelmed by the 30 different beers on tap theyve cleverly and helpfully provided a color coded key to group beers by general styles and provided some notes next to the tap list! As an added bonus theyre really making an effort to keep an up to date tap list on their Facebook page so you can get an idea of whats available on any given day.The noise levels vary from evening to evening, as does the crowd, but every time GH is consistently filled with people having fun and enjoying beer. The staff has been nothing but friendly, taking the time to answer questions, make suggestions, discuss styles, and just talk beer. If you just cannot decide on your own they have a couple suggested flights, light, dark, hoppy, and sometimes something else.
