Everything was great up until signing the papers, I felt a lot of pressure to buy gap insurance and now I wish I wouldnt have. I didnt want it and I dont want it. I said it several times, still the pressure. In the beginning they gave us everything we wanted easy to work with. Second guessing the pressure sales at the end of the process in a closed door room, didnt like that at all.

I visited the Northgate Ford dealership for a power window repair on my 2011 Ford Edge. This car was purchased at this dealer and they have always been accommodating to my service needs. This visit however was over the top professional friendly and knowledgeable. Kim was my service tech she was welcoming and listened when I spoke. She helped me get the repair done timely in addition to helping me to order new floor mats for my husband’s F150. Nothgate Ford needs to recognize the employee they have. Thank you great job!

The communication should have been better than it was. I literally had to call/text my service representative for updates on my vehicle. She never would give me an update unless I asked. They did not explain in detail the issue with my vehicle and gave me a time frame of when my vehicle would be completed but did not meet the deadline.The good thing is that so far my vehicle works fine. Just timing and communication needs to get better.

Vance the sales associate did an excellent job working through the sale and setup of my vehicle. He was super transparent and helped me get my concerns taken care of upfront before I commuted to pickup the vehicle. By the time I arrived all paperwork and maintenance was complete and I was ready to go. Extremely friendly service and people, especially Vance. My car was there for 5 weeks!! I do understand that at this time there is sometimes difficulty in getting parts. However, I am 84 years old and live alone. I was not offered a loaner car. Because of this I had to miss medical appointments, etc. I am thrilled to have my car back, and was surprised (and very happy) that because it was a defective part there was no charge. The people that I dealt with were all very nice. Im not really complaining, but do wish that I had been given something to drive while waiting for the repairs to be made on my car.

My most recent experience getting my car serviced prior to going on a family vacation was extremely disappointing. I dropped my car off due to noises being heard near the driver side front tire. I explained we were going on a 6 hour trip and that I wanted a general all-points inspection to make sure my car was safe to take my family on our journey. The next day I was told I needed a new battery, 2 new tires, and had 2 oil leaks. The battery I agreed with, the tires I spent $500 on which I never do because I normally purchase used. The oil leaks, I did not agree with because I never had oil drip evidence underneath my car and never had to add oil in between oil changes. That job would have cost me $1500 on top of the $700 I was already spending due to tires and battery. I had explained from the beginning I did not have a lot in the way of funds because we were going on vacation. So I opted not to do the oil leak repair since I have seen no evidence of that issue. I asked if replacing the tires would take care of the noise I was hearing and I was told that it would....And then when I inspected the report on what all they looked at, they looked at nothing other than the tread depth knowing there was a problem around the tire area. Brakes and everything else went unchecked.Fast forward to 2 weeks later and the noise by the tire is still there and getting worse by the day. I had to borrow a family members car to go on our trip because I was not confident in the inspection I had received and the issue I brought in to be fixed had not been done. I could have spent the $500 I spent on the new tires on anything else for our vacation since I had taken from those funds to pay for the tires. Only nice thing I can say is that Kim was very friendly. However I am not happy with the apparent laziness of the mechanic. I will be seeking a new mechanic for major repairs and only be using Ford for oil changes in the future.

MY experience here is always awful. Years ago my cousin who was a mechanic at Michel Tires told me that my transmission was going bad but the service dept here said it wasn’t to make a long store short, I got a new transmission at Montgomery Lincoln who correctly diagnosed my car. Ive taken another one of my cars in for a recall next door at Honda, great customer service & smooth sailing. This is my 3rd recall on the Lincoln we purchased here and every time it’s been a headache. I brought my car in 2 days ago for a recall & haven’t heard from the service dept regarding it since the day I brought it in. Called left messages cause I can’t reach anyone except the rude girl that transfers calls.

I took my 2016 Ford Escape in for transmission issues. Turns out the transmission needed to be completely replaced. I hadnt even had the car for a year!!! Luckily I had the extended warranty coverage and everything was taken care of down to the penny and all I had to pay was my deductible. I love this dealership. Everyone I met was friendly and fun and had a good sense of humor. The only drawback I had with my experience was that I felt that the communication wasnt really there like I would have wanted it to be. My car was with Northgate Ford for almost a month!!!! I missed my car so much, but Randy and Steve and the girls up front were amazing. They even did my oil change (which I was due for) and replaced a tire that had a hole in it. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks everyone at Northgate Ford!!!

The service department here is a joke. I made an appointment a week in advance. Dropped it off at 8:30am. Called at 2pm and they still hadnt even looked at it. Called at 4pm and they said they would have to keep it overnight before they could even get me a diagnosis/ price quote.Edit to say that Terry up front was nice. Communication could have been better. Just whatever is going on behind the scenes needs reevaluated.

Thoroughly enjoyed buying a used truck from Northgate Ford! It was actually the easiest car buying experience Ive ever had.We live two hours away from Cincinnati and checked throughout the week that the truck (found on AutoTrader) was still available. We called our salesperson, Vicki Wilburn, to let her know we were coming up. Vicki thanked us for letting her know and assured us the truck would be ready when we arrived.After arrival, Vicki quickly put us into the truck (which was parked inside their HUGE garage) for our test drive. After coming back, we were able to get our trade-in assessed and came to agreement on numbers. From the time we agreed on the deal to the time we drove out of the dealership in our new truck, was about an hour! Vicki and the entire team worked quickly to get us out the door and on the road.Also, as we were leaving, Vicki realized we didnt have the code for the keypads on the doors. She quickly sent us the procedure to reset them while we were on the road, ensuring we had everything we needed without having to drive all the way back.Thank you Vicki Wilburn and Northgate Ford!

I purchased a Vehicle with this dealer in May of 2021 for $8250.00 cash. I drove the car for about 2 weeks and had a rotten spark plug ( after being told the vehicles had been fully serviced and there are no issues). Of course purchasing a used vehicle I’m sure there would be some issues however purchasing a vehicle for 8k plus in cash i would think there would be minor wear and tear issues. Soon after the one spark plug was fixed i had to replace all spark plugs totaling another six hundred bucks cool get that fixed with no complaints. Now here we are august and the car check engine light comes on set an appointment and the company did not honor the appointment not only that they acted as if i never had an appointment to begin with and i had to show my appointment confirmation finally four hours after my pre scheduled appointment and being told that Northgate ford doesn’t service volvos (though this is where i purchased the vehicle and set the appointment for a volvo via phone and online) they decided oh they can work on the vehicle I was told my vehicle would be done by end of day which was a lie because the mechanic had to pick up for daycare. Then promised first thing next morning and the turned out to be later than that. Now i’ve paid 1300 dollars to get returned to me my exact same issues i was having before. I feel robbed and still have no car 4 days of missed workme My children have missed several days iof school. I feel taken advantage of and led too o

Sales and financing are great. Service however, is the worst you will ever experience. Bought a car from them in 2020 and it had problem after problem. We took it to them each time and it had more problems when we got it back. Finally took it to another auto shop and they said bolts were missing, parts werent properly put back, and wires werent latched and hanging on hot parts of the engine. They literally said it looks like a 5 year old tried to fix your car. They were unapologetic each time, and getting ahold of them is a pain. Would never recommend.

Dan, my sales guy was no BS, transparent and a very nice guy (closed the deal on a Sunday!), John the finance guy didnt push any added packages that I didnt want and finally THE GM, Lisa made sure I had lunch for my ride back to Pittsburgh!!! When I purchased from Northgate Ford, my experience was great, but if I could give sub zero starts to the Service department, I would. This is the most unorganized, unprofessional, understaffed organization I have ever worked with. These guys need to close the doors until they get it figured out. Take my advice..... Dont take your car there for service!!! You probably wont be able to reach them by phone anyway.

On 2/2/21, my check oil light had come on. I got concerned because I knew I had over 1,500 miles before I had to get my oil changed. (A few weeks ago my Odometer just turned 20,000 miles...) so I called to see if they would be able to get me in that day. I spoke with Melanie, and she squeezed me in at 3:30! And I have to say they were pretty busy! Everything checked out, decided to get my oil changed anyways, but the fact that they got me in that day was awesome!!! Was there about an hour and a half, not bad!! When I got there I was taken care of by Kim Rebholz and have to say she was amazing! Very thorough, friendly, She went above and beyond to help me!! I went with my sister to look at a Ford Fusion. We had Andre as our salesperson. What a nice fine gentleman. He was very helpful in accessing the loan to begin with. He made sure she was comfortable with the car before they made a deal. He did everything he could to get the terms she could afford, and did. Everything went just as my sister had hoped. If I was to buy a new car, I would deffinently go to Northgate Ford and have Mr Andre as my salesperson.

Ever since they combined Northgate Lincoln with Northgate Ford the service has went extremely downhill. I tried calling for days to make just a simple appointment for an oil change. I left multiple messages and left my name with multiple people. Then one lady said let me give your name and number to my call center supervisor and the service supervisor and they should be calling you. Well it has been three weeks and still no call. I was in the area so I stopped in to make the appointment which I shouldnt have to do. When I went in I told them I have tried to keep calling and no one returns my calls and they didnt even say sorry or acknowledge what I was saying. We have lifetime free oil changes there or we wouldnt be going there. I tried to schedule online but it is unclear which oil change I should chose that is the free one.

Honestly, I dont have a good thing to say about my experience and I will never be going back to Northgate Ford for any service of any kind at any time. I went in for a check engine light that was on and a few recalls that needed addressed. $600 dollars later I left with a new battery, an oil change and what I thought was a new purge valve (later found out they just cleaned a tube but did not replace the faulty valve). Four days later my engine light came back on and so did my passenger airbag light. Awesome. So I call them and they tell me to bring my car in the next day. When I brought it in they told me I was going to need to pay for the $125 diagnostic test again to address the airbag light, because, and I quote I can not prove that the previous work they did triggered that to turn on. Wow, OK. Well two days later they finally call to tell me I owe another $400 for a new purge valve because cleaning the tube did not work (which should have been replaced the first time) the diagnostic test, the service to the airbag connector tube, and two days of a rental car. I have never been more frustrated with a car company. Why they didnt fix this the first time I can never understand. Why they didnt make it right the second time I will also never understand. I voiced my frustration and they took off the cost of the rental car, nothing else. Like I said, I will never go back. I feel they took my money unrightfully and at the end of the day didnt even fix my car. Its been a week, so we will see what light magically turns on next.

I had a phenomenal experience at Northgate Ford. I test drove here a while back and really really appreciated Jamels laid back manner. I particularly dont like a ton of unnecessary sales calls/texts/emails, but Jamel reached out when necessary and wasnt over the top about it (something I think millennials and Gen Z people very much appreciate). Jamel is really what made me decide to do business with this particular dealer. When it came to actually purchasing the car, Jason helped me and he had all the answers—a very smart and helpful guy who assisted in getting me the best possible deal (something I was very nervous about as a first time car buyer). Additionally, Jason took the time to explain exactly how this vehicle works after the purchase, which was so helpful since the car is a lot more techy than I am used to. Jason provided an absolutely EXCEPTIONAL customer experience. The manager also helped out getting me a lower interest rate than I even hoped for—absolutely unheard of. Took my 2020 Escape in for a recall on the rear camera and was told the process would probably take all day and possibly into a second day. I was surprised when my service advisor, Megan Cornelius phoned within 5 hours advising it was already done! I always have my car serviced there since they have excellent service!

I dropped my truck off with no appointment due to a knocking noise in the engine area. The service rep (Kristen Glover) told me it would be a few days before they could get to it. I was fine with that. Later that same afternoon she called me and explained what was wrong with the truck. She explained everything in detail and i decided to have all the items corrected. Kristen informed me some parts would not be in until the next day. Kristen called me every day to explain what was going on with the truck and the status of my truck. It was service I have never received from Northgate Ford in the past 6 years gong their. Kristens service made me change my mind about Northgate Ford. I will be requesting her every time I bring my truck into Ford for service work. Kudos Kristen, keep up the GREAT service work.

Our salesman was Paul and we had a great experience. Smooth easy transaction with friendly service. We communicated with Paul via text for a couple of days because we live 1.5 hours from Northgate Ford so we knew most everything we needed to know before we came to pick up our new Explorer! I spoke with John in finance the next day to wrap things up and that to was a easy and quick transaction as well. We would definitely recommend Northgate Ford!

Im not sure why I paid $140 just to CHECK my braking system. My car is a Ford. I think thats a little overpriced and bizarre. I didnt fuss about it or make a big deal but $140 just to look at my braking system is crazy. Im not too sure if my clerk was running up charges to see if I could cover it or she was just trying to make more money on commission? $140 just to check my braking system. Nothing else. Super ripped off.

My #1 reason for returning to Northgate Ford was my Sales Rep Andre Singleton. This purchase was the 3rd consecutive vehicle purchase I have made over the past 4 years with Northgate Ford and each time I have returned to Andre to purchase from. I appreciate his Honesty, Integrity and his No B.S. approach when dealing with my wife and I. I will be trading in and buying my wife another car in about another 2 years.... I plan to go see Andre for that purchase also (God Willing!) I have purchased from others before in the past, but Ive always left the dealerships feeling like I needed to go home and take a shower. I purchased a Town & Country van from Northgate Ford about three months ago and we have had several issues with the vehicle since about two weeks after we got it. Started with coming out to the van with a dead battery on 4 occasions along with flickering lights inside the cabin. I brought it up to Northgate straight away and they could not diagnose the issue. The next issue was interment starting issues. The van would crank and crank but would not start. This progressively got worse. I took it to the closest Ford dealer to me (I live two hours from Northgate) and they were able to diagnose the issue as a TIPM failure. This part controls all the power and relays. It is part of the brains for the big relays like fuel pump, starter and electrical components. Royal Shield is saying this part is not covered under the warranty even though without it working the van is not operable.I have to tell you I am very upset and disappointed. Part of what drew me to purchase a vehicle from Northgate was that my Sales person Dan informed me that the van was thoroughly inspected and no issues were found and that if anything major would go wrong it would be covered and I didn’t need to worry. Well, that has turned out not to be true. I only had this vehicle for two weeks and from that point I have not had a reliable van. Leaving us stranded more than once because it would not start. Now I have a $1,200 bill to get this vehicle operable again. This is apparently the kind of vehicles that they sell on their lot They run for two weeks and then major things start going wrong.I am highly disappointed and frustrated that they sold me a van with a major issue and the reassurances that I was told have turned out not to be true. It is not acceptable that they would sell a vehicle that after only less than 3 months and less than 5,00 miles no longer runs. I contacted Northgate and they said sorry you are having issues and maybe you can trade it in. First time I have ever written a review on a place but I would make anyone aware who is thinking they are buying a thoroughly inspected and vetted vehicle to be forewarned this is not the place to go.
