We took our BMW x5 to them the passenger door would not open I was at wits end with the thing I could not be happier with the quality of work that was done. It also was taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. They kept us informed while the car was worked on. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their car taken care of I’m sure we will return when we need something done really nice place great mechanics too !

I had a Prepurchase inspection done on my Porsche 996 here. I was an out of state buyer looking for a local shop to check out a car for me. John was punctual, polite, and professional on the phone. They did a great job and found *almost* everything wrong with the car, but also everything that was right. Their subjective enthusiasm about the car gave me confidence and I was not disappointed at all. They also checked the oil filter at my request (and expense) to give me some confidence of the engines health. The two things they did miss: The cruise control did not work, which was a pity on a 10hr road trip home. And the car made a very noticeable whistling above 70mph which was also a nuissance on the trip home. If they had identified the broken brake pedal switch causing the cruise issue, I would have gladly paid them to replace it before I left Cincinatti. The whistling aero issue I can forgive because its really not easy to get the car up to those speeds in the middle of the city. But overall they helped me know I wasnt walking into a nightmare of a car when I couldnt be there to check it myself. Im very meticulous and I was very happy with their assessment. The car has been a dream and I dont think I would have pulled the trigger on it if it werent for John and his team giving it a clean bill of health.

Ive worked in mechanics since I could and love everything cars, especially German automotive. Despite this, every shop I go to is a waste of time ripping you of your money, Ive been asked to do the same thing at multiple shops. This place will get you in and out with immaculate service and performance. If you need any work whatsoever for European cars, this is the only spot you should go.

Sharing my experience: I have a 1995 Range Rover Classic and was excited to take it to a European car specialists as i needed to establish a shop for my truck, but unfortunately i was less than impressed. I dropped the car off to Lee (owner) on a thursday who said theyd look at it and call me with an estimate the following monday. No word Monday, no word until i decided to call that tuesday, always chasing them. i was told they ordered a part which was a very easy to order ignition module. The part ordered was wrong, there was zero change to the car, it still does not run correctly. It took 1.5 weeks for them to do nothing to the vehicle, besides install fog lights which should take 2 hours. i was charged $500 - i never did receive an estimate. It took me 20min to find the part needed which will arrive tomorrow. nice folks, poor customer service, and didnt seem to prioritize my vehicle. sorry, guys, just want to share my experience so folks are aware.

Recently took a 2013 VW for a post-purchase inspection to make sure it was in good working order. John and Andrew did a fantastic job getting me in on short notice, thoroughly reviewing my car, and taking the time to explain the minor issues and service needs they found. They were very professional and courteous. I will strongly consider taking my VW to European Auto Specialists in the future for maintenance and repairs. My only note would be they have a very small waiting area and only one customer is allowed inside at a time due to COVID, so if youre planning to wait on your repairs I would recommend waiting elsewhere. Otherwise, a fantastic shop. Thanks guys!

Brought my car in for a second opinion. Already had an idea of what the issue probably was but wanted them to check the engine codes and to tell me that the vehicle doesn’t have a serious issue and is still safe to drive. Took probably an hour for them to scan the codes. Then charged me $160 for an hour of their time and just the use of a computer. Didn’t actually fix the issue. The problem isn’t the charge. The problem is that they did not disclose the amount it would be before hand. Which under state law. Any repair over $50 must be given a written estimate before any work is completed. Due to this I will not be returning my vehicle for service. And also will be disputing this charge with my bank. Always ask them the amount it will be before they work on the vehicle.

I have used EAS exclusively for my auto service needs for several years. I have owned a 1999 Jaguar XJ8 and a 2000 Jaguar XKR over the past 20 years and have found European Auto Specialists to provide superb service and thoughtful, friendly care! I highly recommend EAS as the go-to service for your European automobiles!

I have been using European Auto Specialists for over ten years for service and maintenance on my Porsche 911. I have been completely satisfied with the services and quality of the work and at much better price than the dealer. The largest job performed was to remove the engine and ship to a Porsche specialist for rebuilding and then re-installation to complete the job. The work was impeccable.

These guys know their cars. They helped me numerous times with my older Saab - where I wouldnt trust just anyone with it. It was clear from talking to them on the phone (before going on) that they were VERY familiar with my beast and it put me at ease. Highly recommend!!

Lee and his team at European Auto are a trustworthy and hardworking outfit. Theyre not afraid to tell me when something is NOT wrong with my car, so when I hear that they found something that need attention, I believe them. Theyve done great work on my 2004 Mini and I highly recommend them.

I was treated with the utmost respect at European Auto Specialists, Ltd. I am not from the area and was given a recommendation to have my car diagnosed by their team. They were able to help quickly and gave me their honest opinion, which in the end saved money. I have another foreign car now and will use them again in the future. I would recommend European Auto Specialists to anyone else looking for a fast and reliable foreign car mechanic in the Cincinnati are.

Im quite disappointed to have to say what Im about to say about this shop, because before the incident Ill describe, I had always thought John, Lee, and the rest of their team to be honest mechanics who valued their regular, revenue-generating customers.Back in May, I brought in my 2007 Volvo S40 for some diagnostics on a shake Id been feeling, as well as to check for any routine maintenance it was due for. They were unable to diagnose the shake (which actually resolved itself shortly thereafter- the car had sat for over 2 weeks, and may have just gummed up a bit), but I paid their diagnostic fee gladly, and thanked them anyway. The problem arose when Sam, one of their mechanics, performed an oil change that I did not authorize, and charged me $134 for it. Given the fact that Ive never been charged more than $70 for an oil change here, or even by Volvo dealers, I was rather distraught.I brought this to Johns attention as a billing error, and when I politely asked him to correct it, he looked me in the eye and told me, oh, thats an oil service- not just an oil change!. Asking him to describe the difference, he told me that it included topping off fluids, inspecting tires, and everything else every other shop on earth does for the $70 oil change.John inexplicably stood by his $134 oil change, which lets not forget, I did NOT authorize, even though my aging Volvo frequently brought me into their shop for maintenance and repairs...Lee, I address you now directly as the owner of this establishment: Im extremely disappointed in the dishonest, thieving way I was treated on this occasion, and for that reason, I will never be back to your shop.It baffles me why instead of having me come back for my Volvos lifetime of repairs and service, easily thousands of dollars in revenue, you would rather allow Sam and John to cheat me one time for $70 and chase me away.I will be filing a complaint against your shop with the Better Business Bureau for the fraud youve committed against me, and will certainly discourage anyone I can from frequenting your business.

We had our fuel pump replaced on our Mercedes in November 2018. Our brand new fuel pump has since failed again June 2019, we contacted them in regards to possible warranty work. They informed us that perhaps our Q2 sensor is the cause for the fuel pump failing And not a faulty fuel pump... Immediately defending their work without looking at the car..and with a bogus excuse at that. They further informed us that it would be 15 days before they could even look at the car for possible warranty work! So our broke down car is supposed to sit for more than 2 weeks with an issue you recently fixed?I am serious people Stay Away, pay the extra money at the dealer it will be worth it for expertise and recourse.

European Auto Specialist are the best. Lee and John and their crew of top flight Mechanics have done nothing but great work on both my Mini Cooper and BMW 5 Series as well as my wifes VW. They get the work done quickly, if there is an issue they call and let me know; and give me options on what they can do to repair the problem. Relative to the BMW dealerships they are always reasonably priced and do not make up things that dont need to be fixed. Even if my next car is a domestic I will likely bring it to them to get work done. Do yourself a favor if you own a European made car bring it EAS for repairs. You will not be disappointed.
