Im happy that I selected Pep Boys (5495 Glenway Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45238) for my tire installation. I worked with Elijah at the front desk. He is a great employee; has a pleasant attitude; and is very patient with customers. I would definitely go back to this location. The were ready at the scheduled time and completed the work quickly while I waited.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Had an 4pm appointment for an oil change. After watching men customers that came in after me getting done before me I was furious! After asking when my car would be done 30 min later the computer went down and I had to continue to wait. When they finally did get done I was told I would get my receipt emailed to me because they were having printer issues also. At this point o just wanted to leave well I come out to my car windows down and unlocked for anyone to come in my car and steal my belongings. Western hills area is not a place you want to leave your value good out with you windows rolled down and doors unlocked. I believe the workers did that on purpose because I started complaining after being there already a hour and a half! Of course I was getting frustrated when I’m watching people after me get out before me with the same service and I was there before! What’s the point of having an appointment if you are still going to work on the car when you feel like it? When I went back into the store to let them know about the windows and to ask to speak to a supervisor I was told to call 1.800.Pepboys. I did that got a call back from the district manager and from taking to him I’m pretty sure NOTHING was done. He just said he would talk to the store about my concerns and that was it. NEVER AGAIN!!!
Guess this location doesnt run diagnostic testing. Let them know my engine light came on and asked if they could do a diagnostic test, they said yes. When I showed up, I was rudely informed they dont do that and was sent 45 minutes away to Florence. Cant say my first visit was pleasant. Wont return. And restrooms were absolutely disgusting.
I came in the shop got me a tire they did not try to sale me on anything being wrong with my car they got me out of the shop with in 15 mins and I was at work on time very polite did not do anything with my car or have a problem with me watching
They fixed my flat tire for ~$20 in about 4 hours on a busy AF Saturday afternoon!
Purchased five bad batteries 4 alternators from them. Manager told me it was my fault and would not cover it, or replace them. Before I picked up my car a black senior citizen was going through same stuff as me punched manger in the face. While I was standing in line lol. Its a three ring circus in that place. My grandfather took his car there, they took his engine appart and charged him 2800 and then told him they couldnt put it back together lol. He had to tow it to brogan oil who then fixed it. They lost parts of the engine. So he had to purchase a bunch of stuff. I wouldnt use their services even if it was free!!!! Please learn from my experience

Stopped by here today to get some cleaning supplies to detail my car this weekend. As soon as I walked in, the entire store was blocked off and lights were off except the service desk and waiting area. I guess they dont wanna sell all the car accessories anymore.

This place has terrible customers service. Had my rotors done here and my breaks sound worse then before and they didn’t help solve it.

I stopped in at Pep Boys just to get some air in my bicycle tires and I forgot I had wiper blades that I hadnt put on my car. So I asked the attendant just walking by if he could put the wiper blades on my car told him I paying for it. He said that hed have to go check with his manager what she did and his manager approached me and told me dont worry about it were not going to charge you at all. I was floored Oh, I thought it was the nicest thing anyone could do for me I was just stopping in just to put some air in my bicycle tire I did offer to pay him again and he said dont worry about it. The attendant Amid was very professional and kind, nothing but a 10 for there customer friendly service. Thanks
Disappointed that I pull up with an almost flat tire and leave with a flat tire. It was the valve stem but they dont do trailer tires at a tire shop. WOW
I visited today to have my cars head light bulb replaced, fully expecting a replacement charge, bulb cost and a wait time for service. To my pleasant surprise, the customer service person walked upto my car removed the bulb, told me I can buy and replace on my own - only the bulb cost and no wait time. Thank you.
Forgot to get my oil changed before leaving for a road trip. I needed to get it done on the day I was scheduled to leave. Ricky was very helpful fitting me in and getting it done in under an hour. I really appreciated the customer service at this location.

Totally disappointed. They sell nothing there anymore. The only thing they do there is auto service and repairs, was not worth the trip and the waste of gas to drive over there.

If you can actually love a car repair place, then I do. Everyone Ive dealt with at this location has been great! I even provided a new air filter and they said mine didnt need replacing yet. (I was told a year ago by a different company that it did). According to Pep boys it only needs to be replaced every 30000 miles. Not that its that expensive, I just dont like being mislead. I felt completely taken care of here and the employee gave me all kinds of helpful information about the service. He also did not take advantage of the fact that I am a woman. So.... I love this place.

Was looking for car seats. The Parts man offered his advice when I took an item to his counter, but no one came over to see if I needed help finding a particular style (3 employees, I was the only custoner in the store) Kind of expect that so I am never disappointed. If someone actually initiates an offer to help I am usually amazed these days as most people do only the minimal requirements of their job. Businesses need to realize customer service is just as important as their product. Will have a friend help me with the selection.
Got 4 tires replaced after looking around for the best deal. even with the realignment, they came in as the best deal BEFORE the refund of the cost of the forth tire! the service took a long time, but that is the nature of the beast with used cars. they were respectful, honest, and so far I believe they have done GREAT work.

Made an appointment to get 4 new tires for 7pm. I walked in and a staff member told me that he would have to reschedule my appointment because they closed at 8. Not sure why 4 tires can’t be changed within an hour? Especially when both service center employees were sitting down relaxing when I walked in. Beyond frustrating but it’s cool, I’ll take my $600 next door to Tire Discounters where they ensured me the job would be finished within 30 minutes.
Lied about reason to not serve me. Went to Midas instead. Claimed my belts could not be reasonably replaced in my 2000 Honda SUV. At first I panicked thinking my old car must be replaced. For two days I shopped for a new car. Midas did not hesitate and were finished in less than 2 hours. They were busy. 😉

We had a positive experience with the folks at this location. Our vehicle was towed in after experiencing a overheating condition while on the freeway. I spent sometime trying to replicate the condition experienced by our daughter without success. After conferring with one of their mechanics, Don we agreed to a comprehensive coolant check which validated the head gasket, coolant system pressure capability, the condenser fan, power module, High & Low spd. relays. After passing all those systems Don suggested a coolant purge procedure to ensure all entrained air was removed from the system. Don road tested, then I road tested before returning the vehicle back to our daughter.
I bought brand new tires here a 5months ago, I purchased a warranty. And here we are and the tires are not safe!! Sliding around in the rain and etc. The staff told me that there is nothing that they can do. They cant explain why its happening or a resolution for me and the safety of my children. So save yourself some time and some money and go elsewhere!!! The service I received was TERRIBLE!!
Absolutely awesome, Super helpful and courteous. Definitely going back, used the coupon got an oil change for 20$ and then I was gonna buy wind shield wipers, at the counter the lady informed me if I got the manager special, it came with wipers and more, for less than I would spend on the wipers. Good move!

Pep Boys has most of what you need. Ive never used them for automotive service, but I will say that some cheapo auto accessories like generic plastic hubcaps and similar products are quite a bit overpriced. Great location though, quick in and out.

The staff have always done their best to make sure I am satisfied and their work is done right. Their prices seem fair.If you need work done on your car, I would recommend them.

We arrived late in the evening so all their mechanics were gone but they ordered the part so it would be here in the morning, put our car in their garage and helped us to find a hotel for the night. Not something you want to happen on your way home from vacation but they were more than helpful ! Great bunch of people work here !! Thanks again !!

I wouldnt recommend anyone to go to this Pep Boys or the location in Florence, KY if it was the last car repair shop on earth. Initially, I had great experiences, but the quality of service has declined for both my wife and I. Here are several instances where they messed up:1) My wifes car stopped in the middle of the road. Her vehicle was towed to Pep Boy, where they said she needed a new engine for 5K. Turns out, we took it to a small shop where she only needed a water pump.2) On the day of our wedding, my tire nearly popped off of my vehicle on the highway because someone did not tightly secure the bolts/screws on the tire. A mechanic told us, if I had been driving 65 mph, my car would have flipped over.3) My wife needed a new alternator. She had to take it back a second time because it kept making sounds. The second time around it still made sounds.The list goes on. I would trust my lack of mechanical ability before I take my vehicle back to this terrible, terrible, establishment.
My Beau had to have his fender fix. It was a good turn out, they didnt charge that much. We walked around. Holding hands and Kissing!

Every time I have come into the Pep Boys store in Western Hills I am always greeted and I never feel as if I am being taken advantage of. The mechanics are always very helpful when I need an oil change and I believe what they tell me is wrong to be truthful. The service is excellant!

They do not have auto parts. Its just tires and repair now. They do not do tire swaps unless you buy tires from them. Of course none of this is clarified on Google maps so I show up and they have nothing.
My check engine light was on, and my car had been shakey. I came in to get a diagnostic to find out whats causing it, and to fix whatever it was. After a half hour, they tell me what the code pulled and said was wrong with it. They hadnt even run diagnostic yet. Another hour and a half later, they finally came out to tell me whats wrong. They quoted an hour to fix it, So I finally decided to have someone come pick me up. It took them two hours to fix it. This is ridiculous. The least they could have done is tell me it would take a while in the first place, so I could have had someone come pick me up earlier. Instead, Ive wasted over 4 hours of my day. Tell me, why does it take an hour and a half to run a damn diagnostic? Really? I will absolutely not be back to this location. Also while I was here, a man got an oil change, left, and was back shortly after. He said they had spilled oil all over his engine and it had caused a fire. Good job guys. Hire people who arent incompetent and know what theyre doing.
Purchased new tires at Pep B in Louisville and took car to Cincinnati when the low pressure wheel sensor came on. By the time I got to downtown it was completely flat. Dave (Manager) and his crew inspected the flat and could not find a nail or a hole. They professionally explained that a seal between the valve and the sensor came loose so the air escaped. They replaced the grommet and didn’t try to upsell me or try to sell me a new tyre. All 4 people I interacted with at that store were polite and seemed interested in customer satisfaction.
Called Tuesday 5/28 to ask about rear axle brakes. Whoever was there in service checked to make sure he had the parts, then quoted me a price of $184+tax and gave me appointment for 11:00 AM Thursday 5/30.I arrive on-time and Ricky the guy at the service desk tells me its $258+tax and then proceeded to spend the next 5 minutes pretending he didnt know what a Pep Boys Preferred Customer was. Said he never of it. I told Ricky to enter my phone number and all my info would pop up, but Ricky didnt wanna do that, so I left and went to Car-X across the street. Since Car-X was going charge $189+tax I went ahead and had them do the front axle, too.Ive had excellent experiences at the Colerain and Eastgate Pep Boys, but Ill never go to Western Hills again.

Recently had my brake lights go out, so I stopped by to see what the problem was. They did an electrical diagnostic (more than $40) on my car and found that the brake switch wasnt working. They didnt have the part available that day, so I came back the next day. The switch itself was around $30. Labor? $66! I took the time to search YouTube and found that the installation is so simple, once I had the new switch I took the old one out and installed the new one, in UNDER A MINUTE. $66 for a minute job is outrageous. The only good thing about this place is customer service and friendliness. Moral of the story: search the Internet and try to save yourself some money.

Booked an appointment online over 24 hours in advance to have my tire pressure sensor checked. I arrived early for my appointment and after waiting a while was told “we can’t fit you in today.” But there was only one car in the back... If you know that you aren’t going to be able to take care of your scheduled customers, please at least have the decency to call and tell them—preferably before they make special arrangements to leave work early and drive all the way out there. I really don’t appreciate having my time or money wasted—there was also zero follow up. They went right back to chatting and didn’t even offer to get me rescheduled or suggest when might be a good time to come back. They also never called me to see if I wanted to reschedule since it shows my appointment was cancelled. Since they don’t seem to want paying customers and don’t make an effort to follow up or communicate, I do not recommend going here. Needless to say I will have to find another place check out my sensor.

What a joke. Stopped in 10 days ago to get an oil change only to find myself down a couple of quarts this morning with a healthy puddle of oil under the car. Thought about going back to the store, took it to my usual mechanic instead who found the leak coming from a loose oil filter. What?! Couldve cost me an engine. If you go to these guys, you better know how to double-check anything they do.

I just had a horrible experience at Pep Boys! The customer service from this older lady Charlene was horrible! I dont know if she is a manager or not, but she is a really rude lady that talks down to her co-workers as well as the customers. I feel like if you dont like your job dont work there. She should not be the representative of your store because shes making you guys look bad. All it took for her to explain my situation to me like a grown up, Not raise your voice and cut me off literally everytime I tried to speak. I dont want to write a book about this bad experience but I want the point to be made that CHARLENE has very bad customer service skills and she needs to stay in the garage working on cars rather then to be in the front representing your company.

If I could give a 0 I would give 0. I took my 2013 Hyundai in for a squeaking noise I started hearing months back and am just getting around to dealing with. My appointment was at 8 and I wasnt leaving until 1015am with simply a quote of $1500 in needed work (1 wheel bearing, breaks, rotors and calipers). I was totally caught off guard by their diagnoses/cost and said Id have to think about it and decide at a later time. Minutes later, the mechanic who I believe was getting my car ready for me to take it away, walked and said to the front desk clerk, you gotta love them cheap customers. AS SOON AS I PULL MY CAR AWAY, it is fish tailing so badly my whole body is swaying in the car. I knew they didnt put my car back together right which put my life in danger! I immediately took my car to a local mechanic and he told me my tire was about to fly off. DO NOT GO TO THIS PEPBOYS! They are so bitter theyll put your life at risk to prove a point.Sincerely,Someone cheap who is getting their car fixed elsewhere

Terrible and rudeness given to my mother. Stated they had trouble starting her car🤦 So they never even assessed her car at all. Real funny her car started right up when she got behind the wheel.

I took a flat tire in to Pepboys to get patched. They mentioned that if I was a rewards member, I would get it for free. So I signed up, and was then told I had to wait at least 24hours before I could get it fixed. The next day, I dropped off my car with the spare tire on it, and the flat one in the trunk to have the flat tired fixed and an oil change. They verified that they would price match the Midas across the street for with the oil change... so I left. 2 hours later I got a call saying they can not patch the tire, but they had a comparable tire they could sell me (of course they do!). I declined and went it to pick up my car. Upon arrival, they said they couldnt price match Midas unless I had something printed out (EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN SEE THE MIDAS PRICE FROM ACROSS THE STREET). Took the tire to 2 other places, and they both said Pepboys was trying to BS me, the tire can easily be patched. The second place even did it for free.To recap, AWFUL service. Constantly tried to screw me over and up-sell products and services. I WOULD NOT recommend them at all, and they have lost a customer for life.
Had a horrible experience, went in the store to buy a battery and for them to put it in, I was the only customer- lady at counter started to wait on me- chose battery, she got my personal info— then phone rang with customer asking questions about tires and installation—ignored me for the next 15 minutes—I timed it-when she hung up, I told her you never take a phone call when you have a paying customer in front of you. She said she’s not allowed to put caller on hold, by that time 3 more customers came in and was waiting also, they all agreed with me- I just walked out, never will go back- I should of listened to other people who told me it’s bad there.
Scheduled an appointment to get back and front struts along with few other things fixed, and they had my car fixed up the next day! That was quick considering I have friends that take their cars to the dealership with small problems and they dont get their car back for more than a few days sometimes.
Poor communication between staff and their customers. Drove an hour to pick my car up because it was ready, TWO separate employees called me to confirm i wanted them to leave the keys in the car since I would be arriving after close. My keys were not left out and I was forced to drive an hour home then come back once they opened. Very unprofessional.

Poor service I was shopping at 7:54pm and was approached by employee telling me they were closed I asked if they were open until 8pm je said yes and I said well its not 8pm je then checked his phone and said ohh I guess its not 8pm yet he then walked away. There were 2 other groups of people who had just walked away from the front doors due to them being locked. The 1 group left the other talked to him as I was walking out just wanting to get a gas cap real quick it was 7:57pm st this point and they were turned away. Upper management needs to get some less lazy employees that dont turn away business during regular business hours or they wont have a business. All this should be checked on there camera system its all on camera and the times that it happened. This occurred on 5-17-18 at 7:54 PM. I wouldnt recommend you go there they just want to get paid a hourly wage and not have to do anything.

Went in to get a comprehensive coolant check on 08/02/16. Was there for about 2 hours. They said it was air in the hose but they got it out and it was fixed. As soon as i got home i looked down and saw my gauge up to red . Back overheating. So i call them today trying to get in touch with service dept SEVERAL TIMES. But a soon as i explain this i get hung up on. Dont waste you money. Go else where.
