Suders is such an amazing art supply store. One of the workers and I joked abut how they have so many things, but its an organized mess Everytime I come here they are nothing, but helpful and gave me an opportunity to come by and shoot the store up for a class project

It’s the best.A Cincinnati treasure. Maybe the last one.If you would like quality art products and top of the line framing this is your destination. Worth the trip downtown. You’ll get more from the experience than art supplies or framing. BONUS....They have free parking in their lot just behind the building. Yahtzee!

For anyone interested in art beyond a Hobby Lobby/ Michaels craft store ...... This is like an art candy store. Definitely going back w/ my daughter to indulge.

Very rude service and obscenely overpriced. Went there to buy tiny half-pint cans of lettering paint (for $28 apiece) and needed to compare two shades of red. After removing one lid I noticed the other can still had its factory shipping clips fastened to its lid. When I asked the attendant about removing the clips (which theyre supposed to do before displaying the cans on the shelf) he said hed rather not. In other words he wasnt permitting me a visual comparison without purchasing the paint first. Ive been purchasing art and paint supplies around Cincinnati for 40 years and no one ever forbade a visual inspection of paint before buying it. Of course I always avoided Suders due to similar experiences in the past - and couldve gotten the same paint for almost half that price online - but I needed the paint in a pinch for a job that had to be started over the weekend. So, if you have to go to Suders like I did, be prepared for a very unhelpful attitude and insane prices.

This art store is full-of-that feeling that life is saturated-with-ideas-and-hopes-and-potential.Just had my first Suder’s shopping experience. Locals bantering. All ages inside. Kindness. Had everything we needed. Loved it.Spend your hard earned (or cheaply earned or somewhere in-between) money here.

Great selection, great people. They offer framing and provide excellent quality and craft. Pricing is fair. Fantastic results and we will continue to get things framed at Suders! Five stars across the board - highly recommend!

Better prices on many items than I could find online or local hobby stores. Its bigger than it looks so be prepared to spend some time browsing and dreaming of your next art project! Friendly staff too, cant say enough about the place. Go here rather than that big chain store. You wont regret it.

Older workers (owners?) seem annoyed by customers. First time there, the older woman didnt put two of my products in the bag and when I called about it, she tried to insist otherwise and blame me. I went back in and found the same two items (each one being the only one the had when I first selected them). Got my credit after the hassle (thus star #3). Went back a week later to buy more art supplies and the older man scolded me for taking what was needed from the closed drawer (which is designed for public access) above a drawer left open (and no soul in sight) that he thought I took it from (which would still have been fine). Id knock another star off except that the staffer gave me the artist discount (which I am) without me needed to ask. I want to give this quaint supply shop top marks but it seems that a few folks there may not be happy with their lot in life. Oh well, put a mask on it, carry no ego, ask for your discount, and double-check your bag & receipt.

The absolute best place for art supplies in Cincinnati!

I needed a couple of canvases. So many places still closed! I called Suder”s and THANKFULLY, they were open! Never been before, but definitely will be returning! Great store, extremely nice employees and staff!

Great place to find your self at 9 am on a Tuesday

Good selection of paints with high quality materials and gilding supplies. More pastels and papers than I knew existed. The staff was wonderful and helpful, the cat included.

Cashier would rather have a conversation than let me purchase my items, after a few minutes waiting for them to finish talking I just put my items down and left. The cat is very cute however

Fantastic selection of fine art materials .One of the only places to get higher end oil paints, pastels and printing supplies .Also the staff are really helpful .As a graduate of art school is it really awesome to have something like this in OTR.Everyone always says Over-The-Rhine is so creative and it wouldn’t be that without Sueders .

Love this place, a little pricey compared to big box craft stores, but well worth it for awesome customer service, excellent selection and quality supplies, and a very lovely shop cat.
