Took my son to buy clothes recently. Found a good selection of shirts and shorts at a good price.

Loved how they had the Mens section in the basement. Like if it were a man cave or something

Very nice layout of store, 90% of the areas were clean, arranged & organized.Disadvantage, which I am finding @ other JcPs is the lack of cashiers & checkouts, they had only 2 checkouts open, 1 down in home, the other on the 2nd floor.Due to this, minus 1-star, I took 15-minutes to shop, 30-minutes to check out.

Friendly employee on the way out. Friendly cashier. I got all markdown items and spent about $100 dollars. Like 4 pants and 3 dress shirts. Or else it would of been like $ 250.00. Soo good deal jc penney.

My wife bought some items in the store using her discount coupons. I did not go inside the store but my wife mentioned that it was quite busy however the staffing was sufficient enough to assist the customers.

Purchasing items is flawed. It takes too long to make a transaction.

Found everything i was looking for at a great price. Enjoyed the holiday discount. I want to give a special shout out to Myriam Diaz who even though she was not working the section I was shopping, stopped what she was doing to make sure I was finding everything. JCPenny needs more people like her!

Shopping experience very different from before COVID, every time I wander into jeans section a voice on the PA says somebody needs help in that area which isnt true, probably a theft deterrent. You cant try on clothes which is a time waster, then people complain theyre out of a job because online retailers put them out of business. I tried.

Great prices customer service was great

My wife purchased a ring for me 2 weeks ago, and needed to make an exchange for a smaller size. We waited over 20 minutes for anyone in the jewelery department to even acknowledge that we were waiting patiently with a number ticket to be helped. For example, there was maybe 5 or 6 associates and maybe 3 other customers being helped. We were not greeted or at the least acknowledged, we were essentially the only ones standing there as all associates walked right passed us doing their own thing. To make matters worse, we were told that they could NOT help us and that we needed to go to the original place of purchase, Plaza Bonita location in order to resolve our exchange. We end up going back to Plaza Bonita and were helped with little to no problems, including the fact that Plaza Bonita tells us that Chula Vista does this all the time with these customer service issues. Chula Vista will NOT be receiving any further attention from us as our Customer service experience was horrible from the start.

I can see why the store brand I grew up with is not and hasnt been the 1st place I think of when shopping. Was looking for deals I saw in an ad so arrived and asked about some shirts and not 1 employee asked me if I needed help in mens clothing so I asked and was told they were online only. So kept looking and found them and at advertised price. One young guy did look for some pants Id about. Then with 1 employee at the register we waited 30 minutes to pay. Employees there seem so disconnected from customers while standing around folding clothing as if thats the only thing they do. Havent been JCPs in years and that most likely will be my last.

The female manager Alex was the best.This is the best customer service weve had in a long time.It felt good to be taken care of with a smile and lots of patience with my 82 yr old mom.Thank you Alex.

I went the other day to the jewelry department to get one of my rings repaired but I did not have the information I needed to get it repaired, Fabiola and Plarina were awesome at helping me, they helped me find my contract number to be able to fix my ring, they were very patient with me, and helped me find everything I Needed and gave me all the information I needed, they gave me really great customer service it was highly above what I expected and I really appreciated that.

I always order online and pick up at the store. Excellent customer service during picking up my items. My only complaint is that the escalator going up is still out of service. Has been out of service during my last 3 trips there.

Its a good place to go and shop when you want to buy some extras for an outing, but their under staffed and the lines are killers. Employees are very nice, give then some time.

Cashier was sweet, store was messy and the manager on duty I dealt with was just poor management. Now things get priced wrong and signs made wrong, mostly on accident and not a big deal. I found a shirt marked a clearance price$3.97, go to pay and it rings up $13.97. Manager happens to be there and tells me, clearly someone switched the tags, I cant give you that price! Well I dont really care about the shirt, no biggie, Im not in the mood to argue. Point is, no one switched the tag! Who is going to switch the tag and then leave the shirt? It was ringing up $13.97 and priced $3.97. She didnt want to admit to an employee error and do what she as a manager should of! Honor the price it was tagged! Like I said, didnt really care about the spiderman shirt, my kid has a ton and I already spent $300 bucks in that store, its the principal!

They had exactly what I needed the salesperson when I found it was very very helpful made several suggestions which really helped and will definitely go back

Customer service was not so great from my personal experience. Not sure if the person that helped me was overwhelmed with how busy it was or just wasnt havent a good day, but she was moving slow as a tortoise. It took her LITERALLY 10mins to ring up 6 items, I was in retail for years so I was very tempted to take the scanner and quickly ring up my purchase due to me having to be to work. On top of that, instead of folding my clothes and putting them in the bag, she literally bald up my clothes and threw them in the bag which made me upset because everything I bought were gifts. This was my first time at this JCPENNEY and my last. All the other employees were moving at a very good pace and were folding the customers clothes properly. The girl that helped me, should have stayed at home!

The person closing the doors today was unprofessional. It was barely 835 Pm and I was going to walk out after making a fast run at Sephora and she said “I already pressed the lock” I had to ask “so where do I get out from? Because she seem to think I worked there to know. If it was 850 pm I get it, get ready to close. but really?!Edit: the Sephora employees are always so nice ! I love going there because of them!

Couldnt find my shoe size. Everything was so mixed up. There were no sizes and shoes were all mixed up. So disappointed . Needs more stock on the floor. Couldnt find an associate to help me so I just walked out🤬🤬🤬

Excellent customer service. Friendly and accomodating. Store was a bit disheveled but to be expected after a big 50% off sale. Patrons should be more courteous and put items back where they belong instead of making extra work for the employees. Its a shame the brick and mortar stores are becoming obsolete.

Good prices! A young woman with long hair, very badly didnt attend the cash register Al all. I was waiting for my wife and every single person, including us, left the register that is in front of makeup and that sort of thing. We went to the other register near to the watches.

Do not use the photo service here. My familys appointment was at 10. We showed up at 930 and asked if everything was on time(you know how photos can be). Around come 1010, the. 1015, and we ask whats going on. 10 minutes they say. 30 minutes later they have us do our family christmas photos in the home section of the store. Our 1 year old is freaking out after waiting an hour, and on top of that, the photos looked washed out af because of the fluorescent lighting. Then another 40 minutes of waiting for them to upload the photos. Its on a f*ing SD card. What uploading. Terrible experience, terrible quality. Use a real photo service.

This store is awesome. Went to Macys before JC Penney and price wise JC Penney is way cheaper than Macys. Same type of clothes but cheaper. Dont forget to hit the discount area for really good finds. JC penney highly recommended.

Stand in line for 5 minutes, after getting to cashier it was a great experiance, very profecianal and attentetive.

The manager Julie in Sephora JCP gave such excellent Costumer Service along with Marvin and the other gorgeous employee that gave me samples for my eczema!! Such sweet caring associates!!

Will not go back to that store, when I finally found a sales person she couldnt speak English, got someone who could, she had trouble helping me all I wanted was a princess dress for a 3 year old what they had was alful. Check out was very long only 2 sometimes only 1. It was just not the JCPenny I was use too.

Chula Vista branch on Broadway is too slow, long lines and not enough customer service. Most stations like shoes sections has no cashiers. People can easily t as me off and steal merchandise without being notice. Very bad customer service. Lacking of employees in a very busy store

Today fitting rooms where closed and no one to ask where things are, by the time I tried things I didnt like em at all. I got bored.

Great buys however be aware if you return to many items without a receipt they will no longer honor your returns so keep your receipt s
