I brought my truck into this place Friday morning at 8am because Ron, the owner, said it would take a day for them to replace my clutch. When I left it there, Joe, the customer service manager, told me that it would actually be Tuesday before they could get it back to me, which already worried me a bit, but seemed more realistic so I went with it. They were supposed to call me that day after checking it out and test driving it a bit, but I had to call them on Saturday to get an actual quote just to hear they hadnt even looked at it yet and only briefly drove it around. They gave me a quote anyway and Ron again said it would be done on Monday. I never heard from them Monday. Tuesday afternoon rolls around, and I called them in the morning. They told me they were working on it and it was in bay 5. I was in the neighborhood and stopped by that afternoon, hoping they were close to finishing, only to walk up and see my truck in the exact spot I left it in when I dropped it off on Friday. At this point I just needed my truck back, so I asked for it back, and Joe asked if I was going to pay him for the work that has been done. But I just said, What work? and when he couldnt answer me he just gave me my keys back and I said thanks and left. He tried to tell me they had installed a cracked flywheel and needed to change it out, but then immediately changed his story and said it was chattering but not cracked. I do know they at least drove it because they didnt put my parking break back on.Seriously guys, if you had just been honest with me about the timeline and any work in addition to the clutch replacement that needed to be done, it would have been fine. I was willing to be patient for good work, but I dont appreciate getting jerked around.
I went in to get the transmission checked because I had a code for shift solenoid stuck. I made an appointment to go on Friday and they said nothing was wrong and that I should go back Monday for a further inspection. On Monday, I took the car in and they said I need new ignition coils and spark plugs. Mind you I had changed the spark plugs with iridium about a month and a half prior to my visit to this shop, But since I had an oil leak fixed from gasket valve covers I assumed maybe the spark plugs got damaged. I got charged $741 for labor and parts. The problem with this is that I got charged $24 per spark plug when the highest quality cost no more than $15, also, I got charged $430 for 6 ignition coils that originally cost $230. Then when I asked about it Ron said it was because they have training and they warranty the parts. Overall, they do good work, but overcharge for parts. I recommend buying your own parts somewhere else and having this shop just install them. This way they warranty the installation and the store you bought the parts from warranty the parts. It is better than paying almost double for parts from this shop.
It was Great, the place was really busy, but took good care of me. Good prices. Manager Joe at the front office was very knowledgeable, offered me cold water while I waited, and made me feel welcome and like Im part of the AAMCO Family. It says that after a service you make theyll give you a courtesy check of your vehicle. I asked the guy after the service, if they found anything wrong, he said no, but I know that the boot was damage and leaking grease. So they did not perform the courtesy check.
Usually a DIY person but when I needed A/C work done on my car I went with the pros. These guys definitely got the job done quick fast and easy... Sorry I came in during lunch time :D
I keep forgetting to post this review. Ive never actually left a review for a car care place before, but this place is fantastic. Wonderful, experienced guys. Ive always had issues owning a hybrid and finding a mechanic that can do what I need so it was such a breeze to bring my prius over and have everything checked out and repaired all within 2 hours of me dropping it off. Joe and his crew did a good job on my car’s transmission. It took a little longer but they made sure the job was done right. The 18-month warranty was the icing to the cake. Keep it up guys!

He gave me a will not exceed number right off the bat which I was able to mentally prepare for the hit it ended up being less. I had a great experience with the shop now its a matter of how long will it last. But yeah Joe was great five stars from me.
Joe was my tech, from the start he was extremely friendly and helped me out with all my questions. I was very appreciative of that since it was my first experience. Replacing the transmission usually takes a few days as other shops quoted me however, they got it done in less than 24 hours! Was so happy to get my car in and out! At check out Ian was very friendly and patient with the checkout process and also answered more questions I had. Definitely recommend this place, seriously trustworthy with cars!

I wanted to write AAMCO a review because these days, I dont have a lot of trust in this industry unfortunately. That said, when I feel Ive come across an honest, reasonable, and competent car repair shop, I feel compelled to tell others why I was more than satisfied with their customer service and work they completed. Our minivans A/C wouldnt work when the outside temperature was above 80°, but felt adequate whenever it was under 80°. I spoke to Ron (owner) via Yelp messaging when inquiring for service, Joe (Service Mgr) who booked our appt, and Ian, whom we checked our vehicle in with. All were professional, empathized with our problem & told us theyd get it back in operation. Our A/C was repaired in less than a 1/2 day! It was diagnosed & repaired w/ us only paying for their routine A/C service fee. Our seals in the service ports were 16 yrs old and the cause of a small leak in the closed system, and our Freon refrigerant was at 50% of what it shouldve been. All in all, we paid the A/C service diagnostic fee minus 10% since I had redeemed my Yelp check-in discount upon dropping off our vehicle. Our A/C is operating like its brand new again! Great job AAMCO! And here I only thought you worked on transmissions...
I was experiencing a transmission fluid leak. The initial inspection was performed quickly and I received the results a few hours later. The problem was explained to me thoroughly. I was provided a cost estimate that was reasonable considering the amount of labor necessary. The vehicle repair was completed on time and within the cost estimate. Everyone seemed very friendly and professional. I had a positive experience at this shop and have no reservations recommending them. I will return for future repairs.
Service was great and very friendly. I didn’t have a ride so I stayed in the shop and waited. Joe was very friendly and joked around with my kid. That was nice since I understand most business don’t appreciate you bringing your child to wait a couple hours in their shop and disrupting business. Last minute I asked for an oil change. They were busy but they got it done for me and very quickly too. It seemed like all the customers that came in were return customers because Joe knew everyone by name. I had never been there before but I was greeted in a very friendly professional manner. I couldn’t speak highly of this place. I am very please and I too will be a return client. I own a 2003 Celica GT-S with over 241,000 miles and finally the transmission went out. They arranged a tow truck to pick up I my car, evaluated what was wrong with my transmission and got me back on the road in a week. A very big thanks.
When you replace the transmission fluid it’s not something like new tires or new brakes where you can immediately see and feel the difference but it’s just peace of mind knowing that you’re maintaining your vehicle. I appreciated their professional nature of how they explained what they were going to and how long would take.I’d go there again in the future.
I was in town for a few weeks working. I was in search for I shop to perform my 30,000 mile maintenance for my Lexus RC 350. What I can say about this fine establishment is, they were reasonably quick and thorough, very friendly and down to earth, and they did not try to up charge me because I drive an expensive car. I was accurately quoted before I came in and when I left, I ended up paying significantly less than what I would have at the Lexus dealership. Its a glorified Toyota for heaven sake. Thanks guys!!

I have a 2014 Ford Mustang GT that I love and they took the best of care with her! My car wasnt idling right, my check engine light came on and my car wasnt performing as it should. I called them and asked if they had any last minute available appointments and they told me to come right in. They were quick to figure out the problem and quick with their service as well! Last minute appointment and got my car back within a couple hours! The staff was awesome, the service was terrific and I have my car performing even better than before. Definitely going back for anymore future service needed. I highly recommend this team at this AAMCO!

Amazing customer service from Joe Woodward from day 1 that i went to inquire on a quote to repair my air conditioner of my car he makes sure and explained so well what had to be done and really shows all the knowledge he has he shows he loves what he does and really loves helping customers that go in. I took my car to another place that charged me 100 dollars to diagnose my check engine light, and then they told me they couldnt fix it. AAMCO diagnosed the problem quickly, with no charge and advised me that they didnt feel any repair was needed at this time. They were professional and had good customer service.

Very positive experience! Had my BMW 435 break down and brought it to AAMCO as it was a listed under my warranty’s recommended service provider.It turned out to to be a fuel pump failure in addition to gummed up intake and fuel injectors.The mechanics were very professional and did everything they could to get my warranty company ( who are very difficult to work with from what I recently learned) to cover the cost of the repair. Ultimately the warranty company didn’t cover the repair, however I really appreciated AAMCO’s efforts regardless!I’ll be back again next time I have a maintenance issue.
A suspected transmission problem turned out to be something else. The technicians at AAMCO recommended services which resulted in a real change to the feel of the steering, something that another mechanic had overlooked. I will be returning to them in the future.

Perfect is the best way to describe these guys, this place, and the manner in which they handle their business. They have no hidden agenda like so many other mechanics do where they try to sell you useless junk your car doesnt need. Dealership diagnosed my truck with a failed torque converter and wanted to charge for a transmission replacement totaling more than 6000 dollars. This awesome group of guys determined that was a lie in about an hour and fixed the actual issue while also providing me with education on component structure and functions to stay away from businesses trying to steal from me. Overall the most incredible experience I have ever had with any mechanic shop anywhere. Will for sure be coming back for anything my car will ever need to this spot and this spot only.

I have been meaning to post this, this review is long over due.My experience was amazing! My check engine light came on, the code said it was a transmission issue. I came to AAMCO with all the stress in the world weighing on my shoulders but Justice helped me out a lot, helping me with the best advice. Asking the technicians what was the best route for me to go. In the end I had to get my transmission replaced. Brooks called me, I told him my situation and he looked up the best quotes for me and got me a great deal and a good warranty. I was approved for financing was able to get my car back and back on the road. I am so happy and appreciate all the help that was given to me. When I got my car back I cried tears of joy on my way home. I was so scared that I wasnt going to be able to afford to fix my car. Having 3 kids and work I depend on my car very much. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for all your guys help! And thank you for the technicians who put in the hours on my car, it is running great! I will be recommending you guys in the future.
I needed my transmission checked out super last minute, and these guys were able to run a diagnostic and pinpoint were my leak was coming from. They saved me a ton of money, when other places either ignored me or just assumed the worse for my transmission. 10/10 coming to this location again.

I scheduled an appointment with them for a transmission bench rebuild for one of my own customers. Dropped off the transmission and it was rebuilt and they got it done in about a day and a half and price ended up being just about what they estimated as well. Installed the transmission and test drove the vehicle for a long trip and had zero issues, no leaks and it shifts smooth in and out of all gears. Joe was very professional and I will be using them in the future!

Not too happy with the work done on my 2006 dodge 3500. Came in with transmission hunting between 1st and 2nd. Left with it hunting between 2nd and 3rd. Brought it back immediately after the weekend, they tell me the 48re needs to learn my driving style. Theyvrecommended I drive it for a week. A quick Google search shows the 48re is not an adaptive learning transmission. Brought it back the next week, they finally fixed it.Additionally, they delayed giving my truck back to me because the shifter would occasionally not indicate it is in park. The truck would be fully in park, but the indicator light sometimes indicated it was still in reverse. They replaced the shifter cable, and another shifter related part on the transmission. The boot on the column shifter now will not stay attached to the column. The truck now indicates it is in reverse more often than it did before.Additionally (yes, again), they claimed to have replaced my transmission cooler with a bigger upgraded cooler. They clearly did not do this, as there was a socket wrench wedged underneath the transmission cooler. The wrench did not come from them, it was very old. Likely was there when I bought the truck 2 years ago. The problem is that they lied to me, and I only discovered this when the wrench rubbed a hole through my radiator and it started leaking. I discovered a very very dirty and very very old transmission cooler wedging the wrench between itself and the front frame section. I returned to them and asked you said you replaced my transmission cooler, right to which I was told yep, we sure did. The technician came out and checked and saw the wrench in the radiator. Technician goes inside and asks the service manager did we replace that transmission cooler? to which the service manager replied yep, we sure did. The service manager then quoted me $700 to replace the radiator, claiming he would give me a discount since I was a repeat customer. He stated a new radiator costs $450. Again, a quick google search shows a new radiator from Rockauto.com is $127. A new radiator from Autozone is $250. Needless to say, I did not allow them to replace my radiator.
I got my transmission work done and the technicians that worked on my car did an outstanding job. Im very happy with the work and its a joy to drive my car once again. I will recommend this shop to all my Friends and Colleagues.

I am really impressed with AAMCO.I was recommended AAMCO as a transmission specialist by my general mechanic because he was under the impression I needed a new transmission. I showed up pretty nervous and not totally sure I was ready to put out $3,000 for a new transmission. I spoke primarily to Justice and he explained that they would do a free diagnostic and not being work until theyd discussed it with me. This seems like pretty standard auto body behavior but I havent had a mechanic experience this clear cut in years. When they called to inform me of the damage it turned out to be spark plugs so that was probably my one free pass in 2020! Thank you again AAMCO for being reliable and professional!
Ive been here a few times now. On each occasion the team here at Aamco was honest and professional about services I needed that other repair shops claimed would cost me hundreds of dollars more. Ive saved myself and my wallet money by getting a second opinion here. Id strongly recommend you give this shop a try for any of your car needs.

Took my 1998 Volvo S90 with transmission issues. After consulting with different shops, I found the explanation of the process for determining what was wrong with the transmission very detail with this shop. They explained the process of each step and cost as they went along and felt comfortable with the transparency. I already knew that it was going to be a big expense and decided to have them do the work because I wanted the best for my car and money. As the process went on Jeff keep in touch explaining what was going, me having lots of mechanic experience understood is a process. Once the issue was pinpointed I knew they where having a reasonable diagnose because it coincided with previous work with another shop on the car the lead to the failure of the transmission so I felt I wasn’t being taken for a ride. As worked went along they kept me updated and was happy of their policy of getting the job down correctly. With older cars there’s issues as information is not readily available and I understood that. What I like was that they will not turn the car over to me until they where totally satisfied it was all resolved and guarantee the job for 18 months. I knew other of issues with the car and got them fix as well. I have drove the car less than a week and runs great. Will post in a few months if this still so. I happy i took my car there and totally recommend them as wherever you go is a big investment money wise so I wanted a place I could trust, that where honest and transparent. Thought was a great team working to get the job done right!Cheers!
Made an appointment over the phone for a CVT transmission fluid change on my Nissan Sentra. They did not sugarcoat the status of my transmission. I went 35,000 past the recommended change interval of 60,000 miles. I paid using my Synchrony credit card. All paperwork was printed and easy process to receive my vehicle back.
I was pleased with the prompt service I received from AAMCO. I went in for an oil change and multi-point inspection on a 2008 Mustang with less than 40,000 miles. I was happy that the car is in good shape and didn’t require any additional services. This AAMCO location is our new place for car care.
Made my appointment online. (You should allow a business day for confirmation of your appointment.)When I arrived for my appointment the service manager, Justice, listened to my concerns and explained that an initial evaluation of the vehicle would check all of the things I mentioned and more. So we decided to do the initial evaluation and an oil and filter change then talk about what the evaluation turned up. At that point I went away to shop until Justice called to give me a report. About two hours later Justice called to tell me the van was ready to pick up. The mechanic had found and fixed a minor problem in the shift mechanism, but everything else was fine. He did the oil change as requested. The entire visit took about four hours. I felt that Justice was very professional and knowledgeable and the mechanic was efficient. All in all, I was very satisfied with my experience and I will be returning to this AAMCO in the future.
I finally completed my 500 mile break in for my new Nitro 5.29 re-gear. I brought my rig in for a differential oil change. The staff were professionals and listened to my specific needs. They were able to accommodate me in very fast and efficient even for a Friday. I will be returning for all my transmission needs.

Come in to AAMCO 11/24/2020 I needed to have my transmission looked at and serviced. While I that going on I might as well have my oil changed too. Joe helped me out and let me know what he found. I authorized them to fix the problems. And a couple days later the job was done. I left a satisfied customer, thanks joe and staff.

My experience was excellent, Jeff is truly considerate and understanding, when I got there he let me know they were extremely busy. He saw I was in need of help and fit me in, told me to leave the car and hed call with an update. He kept his word, told me what was wrong with my car, gave me an option to get it sooner at a higher cost or wait until morning and save. I took the later, first thing in the morning he called to let me know the car was ready. The car feels great. Very reliable and courteous.

Best place, hands down. They gave me the best costumer service Ive experienced at any mechanic shop. They went above and beyond what I had expected. They helped me get my cars AC back up and running at great speed. They were able to fix it just before I had to leave the city. I thought it wouldnt be possible given how little time I had, but they managed to fix it the same day. They are usually busy so do keep in mind that they might take a while to get to your car, but just be patient and youll receive amazing service once they get to you.
These guys are so nice and really go out of there way to try to get the lowest price for you. They even will stay late to get your car fixed. Im really glad I choose to bring my car here.

They rebuilt my transmission and while it was not inexpensive my vehicle is paid off. If I can drive it for 10 more years it is worth it by not having a new car payment.

They don’t call to give updates all the time but that doesn’t matter because the actual service/work being done more than makes up for that. Very professional. Transmission work is pricey no matter where you go but here it’s worth the money and it gets taken care of relatively quickly.

On my way to La Paz Mexico hauling a boat I had transmission issues in San Diego. I brought my vehicle in to see Jeff 8:00 the next morning. He had a diagnosis for me that afternoon and was able to get me on my way in the next few days with a perfect rebuild. I know there are several transmission places surrounding him but if you dont want to chance it go see Jeff. Fair honest and the best of quality.
These guys were wonderful! They came recommended by friends and we couldnt have been happier. They were great at giving updates as the car progressed and knowing that we were on a budget, Jeff worked with us to filter out the stuff that needed to be addressed right away verses stuff that could wait a little while. Will definitely return again.

Outstanding your people were amazing and they explained everything did everything and made sure that when I walked out of there I knew what was going on with my car very happy will definitely be coming back when I have the funds that Im going to need to do repairs. Customer service is excellent. Jeff was able to fit me in even though I came later in the day. Explained everything before and after. Answered all my questions. All in all, enjoyable experience.
I brought my Audi A4 in for a fee initial diagnostic of what I thought was a transmission problem. They were quick and efficient with the diagnostic and it turned out it was something completely different, but they were able to handle that repair and gave me a good quote. A couple of hours later and it was good to go. Its been driving great since then - thanks guys!
