Been very happy with the customer service they provided me. Me wallet broke down last night and closed my kitchen dining room and hallway. So I called to see what they could do for me and Elisa made sure I got what I wanted and within 2 hours it was delivered. Theyre great!!! Thank you Chula Vista rent a center.

I was approached by a very nice young man who showed me photos of recliners. I was wearing a mask, he was not. I watched my salesman go up to his computer to do the final paperwork on my sale. The store was very quiet . No TVs or music playing. I could visibly see an office area with about 4 employees gathered around a desk. I believe that they were all men except for one woman, who was sitting behind the desk. They were talking and joking around, and none of them were wearing a mask! All I could think of was, REALLY! As my salesman approached me with the completed paperwork, a delivery of some sort entered the store. At that time, I noticed my salesman putting on a mask The chair of my choice is still on order and that is something I can understand during the current pandemic going on. It is a beautiful recliner that I am anxiously waiting to receive. I went to that particular store to buy a new recliner, as I had made previous purchases there, over the past few years and was very pleased with the service I received.
I had a few items delivered a few weeks ago. The driver whom delivered everything was Terrell. He called before he left the store to let me know he was on his way as well as to let me know how long it should take. He got to my apartment in a very timely manner. He was alone which I thought was weird to move a whole king size bed alone. But he did it. He also set up all the furniture and helped me start up the TV. He definitely went above and beyond and I appreciated his kindness so much. He was very professional I had no complaints just smiles. Prior to the delivery Veronica had assisted myself and my boyfriend in the store. When picking out the items she was very knowledgeable in all areas and questions I had. She is Awesome all the time. Thank you for the staff at rent a center in Chula Vista and El Cajon city.

The customer service was bad, when we got there the doors were locked we had to wait in the heat and then she let us in and disappeared, the Chula Vista location felt like we interrupted something by coming to the store.
Do not shop here.. horrible customer service. Horrible overall... took for ever to get a couch. Theres plenty of other rent a centers. I took a chance out of convenience but theres definitely a reason they have only 2.5 stars. Do not waste your time.
There has been two managers of this store and I’ve seen and heard both mistreat their employees. I felt uncomfortable because of the tension in the room. If they were really professional sellers, they should wait until the customer has left or take the employee to the back to speak with them instead of embarrassing themselves and the employee their speaking with.

This guy Manny should not be in management ! This guy doesnt follow through on delivery orders I am still waiting on my couch. I cannot believe the rudeness and horrible service of his and his staff, the lady with to much make up is horrible at her job cannot even process a payment. Can we please get someone that speaks proper English please?
They advertise same day delivery yet I went in on Thursday and I was told the items ( a mattress and bed frame) would be delivered Friday between 4-6 I get a call at 6:30 Friday that they wont be able to deliver it that day because their delivery guy went home early, at this point I had already gotten rid of the old stuff to make room for the new. I called back asking if my friends and I could load it and unload it if rent a center would be able to haul it. They said yes that they will come here we only have to unload it. Awesome great I’m getting my stuff right? Wrong. After waiting over an hour and a half I decide to call, “Oh yeah she’s leaving the store now we loaded the wrong mattress.” Ok never called to inform me of a delay, whatever fine, at least I’ll be getting my things. Finally they get here and we go to unload everything and it’s just the mattress. I’m like “ uhhh where’s the frame?” Oh it will be delivered Tuesday didn’t feel like arguing that night I just wanted to lay in my new bed and go to sleep. So the next day ( Saturday) I call in to see when they can deliver it. The lady says oh ok we can deliver it in an hour. I’m thinking awesome I’m finally going to have everything! So I wait around my apartment for well over an hour and I call (once again they didn’t call me) and she says “oh well I talked to the manager and I didn’t know it was going to be delivered Tuesday so you will have to wait until then, because all of our drivers are out”...... okkkk but they why were you able to do it before ? So I’m paying on a bed frame I’m not even getting to use yet 😊🙃 definitely won’t be going back to rent a center, at least not this one.
I went in there signed a contract to pay same as cash price for a brand new couch the delivery people show up 2 days later with a couch that has holes in it and scuff marks the people there are shady Shady Shady even the drivers who are just delivering the couches tried telling me I should still take the couch even though it had a hole in it and Im paying for a brand new couch do not go here the only reason I stayed with them instead of returning the couch was because I really like the couch the way it fit my room and didnt want to struggle with ordering a new couch through a whole new company be very careful when purchasing with them and make sure you read every detail in inspect whatever you buy
Manny at rent a center is a manager,He does not work with you instead he is a bully he tries to be demanding and show up to your home, call references over and over after already letting him know that you will be in with payment and late fees he is rude and tries to make fun of you for not having the fees right away, this is after 4-6 days late. This is unacceptable and he should he demoted for is lack of compassion for a family in financial needs, its not like i have been more then 30 days late without late fees ! he really needs an evaluation.
I have never been so disgusted with such a poor rude business i bought a TV and decided it was not worth it so tried to return it asap but was told they will pick it up its been a month of my husband and I taking time off work they never called or returned our calls they never showed up but then today had the nerve to ask for payment and a late fee corporate was worse James which is the corporate manager couldnt return our calls ethier. People do not make the same mistake there is better places and cheaper prices I will make sure my friends and family stay away from this place ridiculous how lame and rude this establishment is wow

TOOK 3 PHONES JUST TO GET IT RIGHT. SMH...Management overall was very kind, patient, and professional. However their IT support and Personnel in charge of inspecting returned phones lacked the skills to provide standard service and support to their phones and for their customers:My wife and I came to the Chula Vista store at 1090 3rd Avenue, Chula Vista, CA to temporarily get an S8 phone to use while our service provider was delivering us a replacement phone that was out of stock. We specifically asked for a phone that was either brand new, or wiped completely clean via a proper factory reset. As we are aware that previous users often times physically damage the phones, or install their own software and other programs while in use.NOTE, there is a return policy clearly written in the contract for devices that customers are not satisfied with. Which the manager also brought to our attention.But sure enough, we had to return phone#1 (a Samsung Galaxy S7) to the store. Because there was an unusually thick screen protector applied the phone. After taking a good look, we noticed a small crack on the bottom right side of the phone, which seemed to be growing. It looked as though the screen protector was put in place as a Band-Aid to hopefully slow down the progress of the crack while concealing it?? Which is why we returned that phone.Phone #2 (also a Samsung Galaxy S7) was also returned to the store. Because it had a customized OS installation by its previous user that was not only abnormal and unusable. But it wouldnt go away even after we try to do a factory reset ourselves... This factory reset was supposed to be properly done via the IT department in the store before being given to any customers. Although the manager said this was done when I brought this to het attention. She clearly did not know the depth of this customized installation by the previous owner...It wasnt until we received phone#3 (by LG) that things were finally done right. Because it was brand new, and straight out of the box. But by this time, our service provider had our replacement phone mailed to us a day our two later. So we returned the phone as well, and was kindly told that there would be no charge because of the inconveniencess regarding the written return policy for unsatisfied customers, as mentioned above.
Customer Service is on point...they treat their customers with respect, they communicate with with respect, and they are understanding if the customer falls
