We love getting supplies from CAL Ranch. The employees are friendly and helpful, and will load any heavy things for us into the truck. Good place to get animal care items, planting supplies, propane tanks filled, and nice hats. Feels welcoming and nice inside.

As someone who is Hazmat certified and a technician for a local supplier for propane, I have not been impressed by Cal Ranches Propane Customer Service. The “trained” employees are telling their customers false information regarding their tanks. This is very unprofessional especially for companies that are left to deal with the mess they create. Whether it’s regarding the tank age, it could be a 2016 but if they’re not feeling like filling your tank, suddenly your tank is no good and the employees are making their customers feel like they’re forced to spend an extra $50-100 dollars for a new tank. They do not bother to mention to their customers that there is a cheaper option like recertification that can be done on them to assist the customers. Another problem customers have also been facing is they always seem to be out of propane; if they’re truly out as much as the employees claim, they should be looking for a new supplier. Overall the lack of knowledge of LP and LP Products has me wondering if they’re training the employees the proper way to be handing propane. Other than that, I think it is a great supply store for any livestock needs. I hope to see improvement because I love Cal Stores, but we keep seeming to have issues regarding our propane and other customers propane needs. Why have the tank and advertise propane, if you’re not going to meet specific DOT requirements and give accurate, helpful information to your customers?

Has a lot of inventory, large selection of pet food. Has small but quality tool selection. Only problem is some employees need customer relation training. Small auto section had car batteries at a good price. Not sure how good they are but cheaper than other places. Good outdoor clothing selection.

Nice store, more choices and nice employees.

I am a new gun owner and had some basic questions about safe storage. The gentleman behind the counter on October the 10th with lots of pins on his vest was very helpful and informative. I think he had a 10 year employee badge or something like that. I had left another store (sportmans) because that store was a terrible experience. I will return to cal ranch for any other gun needs.

Upon entering store not one employee wearing a mask and also locked door to rest of Mall unlike any other stores in entire Mall blocking customers convenient access to other stores. Covid-19 is out of control. Cal Ranch actions on supporting their political agenda over human life is totally unexceptable and will persue boycotting this place of business. Make MASKS MANDATORY!

Very poor service from female store manager over sporting goods,This lady was actually, chastising customers telling them they couldnt speak to each other? when they come in together simply because they were buying ammunition at the gun counter and complying with the postings and limits applied to ammunition sales the store manager was just flat rude,ignorant raised her voice to customers, told the customer he was not allowed to assist or talk to his female friend about the selection of ammunition. Treatment the people very disrespectful and made them feel not welcome at the store. This is how management is allowed to treat cash paying customers at the Pocatello Idaho Store.I would choose to take business else where, and other customers were also witness to THIS? I hope other customers provide there feed back because the current rating of 4.3 stars is a mistake or a lie! This Was The MANAGER TREATING PEOPLE LIKE THAT!In my world its unacceptable for the employees too treat customers like that,And totally ridiculous if the manager does that they need to be disciplined.Come on folks give the real rating of what really goes on in that store.

I just had the most shocking shopping experience shopping at CalRanch. Only one employee was wearing a mask and when I inquired about employees wearing a mask they were very firm they don’t have a mask policy and we’re proud of it.Apparently they are unaware we have a pandemic In progress! You couple no masks on employees with no masks on customers and what you have is A COVID BREADING GROUND! I wear a mask to protect others and practice social distancing.They have absolutely no concern, as a store or person, for the health of their customers.DUE TO NOT WANTING TO BE EXPOSED TO THE POSSIBILITY OF COVID I will not be back until the pandemic is over.Good bye!

Their Atmosphere in the store is great! I love the decoration and how most of it is for sale. Even the music they use is good. The shopping experience for me isnt just the products (although here the products are cool as well), i think of the way it makes me feel shopping there. The only downside is see is that at certain shops the workers seem irritable. That isnt the stores fault but for some times Ive went there it ruined the mood.

Good selection of stuff, there is a lady at the front counter that I believe could use a little talk. She offers customers money off their purchase if they apply for the CAL Ranch credit card, which is just fine. The problem is that she lets the customer fill out the application and does everything with the application process while customers back up in the line. I have waited multiple times for over half hour to pay for my stuff. I have definitely spent money elsewhere because of this. Please fix this lady!!!

This is one of my favorite stores in town. They have a great selection of mens and womens clothing along with boots. They have a entire counter dedicated for things that go bang. The hardware section is a must see. If you need a bolt or fastener they have it. Bring a trailer if its your first time, you will need it for all the things you will want to purchase.

I usually have good experiences at CAL ranch but.... the guy at the gun department has an attitude problem and needs to learn how to talk to people.

Love this store. They have the best vole killer ever. Also Milwaukee tools which are the best. Guns, traps, ropes, chickens, rabbits. You name it. Cal ranch has it.

I love CAL Ranch, they always have all my ranch and sportsmans needs. The staff is always ready to jump up and help if you need help with anything. The store is very organized and they run a tight ship. I would recommend this store happily to anyone.

It is a store definitely geared more towards outdoor lifestyles. Such as farming, ranching, hunting and camping. They do have a nice selection of clothing but can be a bit expensive. However, it also seems to last. Overall pretty nice experience with a helpful staff.

This is such a fun store! Everything country you could possibly imagine, including live chicks and rabbits!! Only downside is that they closed the mall entrance for some reason, so you have to walk around the outside to get in the store.

We decided to try this restaurant based on the rave reviews about the same restaurant located in Manan.The staff were very pleasant and efficient but the restaurant itself i found lacking. We arrived at 6:00 and even that early they were out of multiple menu items. The steaks were requested to be cooked medium but were very well done and the filet was not only well done but tough. Prime rib was very dry and well done. Very disappointing to pay top dollar for well done tough steaks.

Love it here. Great store with something for everyone. They have what we need for our dogs and our kids always find something they like.

Have always liked this store, but recently I was particularly impressed with the customer service and helpfulness I received. I had spoken to the manager, Steve, about a difficult purchase, and he went out of his way (along with Rob from the Blackfoot store) to make sure that I could get the product without any inconvenience or hassle. Seems like every time I go there, the item I need is out of stock. Today they even called the Idaho Falls store and told me that it was in stock there. I drive 50 miles and guess what? Out of stock there as well. IM SO DONE WITH THEM. Its easier to order what I need online.

I asked the sales clerk if he would remove the security clamp so my husband could try it on through his pants loops. He looked at me and said....OK..AS LONG AS YOU DONT STEAL IT.I am a senior citizen and I have never had anyone say that to me. I am not a thief.

Cant go wrong with CAL Ranch. They have an awesome selection of things from yardwork tools, pet supplies, pest control stuff, guns and ammo, apparel... and my toddlers favorite, the bunnies and chicks in the spring. Overall, its a great store. Prices arent unreasonable and the staff is always helpful.

C-A-L Ranch seems to have something for everyone. From candy to hunting supplies, dog food to clothes. Fun place to go for what you need. Quite a big place if you just want to wander and see what there is, or if in a hurry the enployees seem well informed.

I had a very bad experience with one employee and I left mad and talked to their customer service line. The store manager Brett contacted me and apologized and was very willing to make things right. I went in to the store to meet him and he went above and beyond to make things right. One rotten apple can ruin a store visit but a manager willing to fix things shows they truly value their customers

Ashley is amazing! She is knowledgable about so many areas of the store from boots to hardware! We went in on a Sunday afternoon about half an hour to close looking for a pair of cowboy boots for my husband. We walked out with 3 pairs, one for him, one for me, and one for my daughter! The Pocatello/Chubbuck C-A-L Ranch is excellent and I totally recommend them!

I love it because its got a lot of stuff fishing stuff hunting stuff. They have big and tall, Carhartt as well as Tony Llamas. Also they have pet food for horses as well as cats. And they have the stuff for working with them to.

Wow really disappointed with the gun counter guys. my son and I were looking to buy his first gun. we had to hunt a guy down to help us, he then showed us one rifle then totally disappeared. We had to hunt down another worker then waited for someone to help us. we finally got frustrated left and bought a pistol from sportsmans warehouse. years ago CAL was my go to for guns and hunting. I completely shocked buy the bad service. its just to bad.

I found most of what I wanted (couldnt find any midweight blankets) Carol the cashier was a bit snitty.

Went there looking for a new Stihl weed eater. They didnt have as many in stock as the other dealer across town. Wound up going to the other dealer and got a lower price and doubled my warranty.

Bought a STHL trimmer. The service was great. They registered the warranty for me and demoed the trimmer to make sure I knew how to operate it.

Well I found a brown wool vest for a xmas gift but found that they were priced differently, so I asked an employee what the difference was. She took them to the counter and came back and said that it was a mistake and the price that been raised, not mismarked but raised! She said she would have to put a new sticker on it so I told her she better look at the black ones also as several of them did not have the raised xmas price on them either. I hope your not surprised I didnt buy a vest. Left the store without buying anything! The Murphys would have fired me for letting that happen!

Love this store...since my childhood

I was looking for scrapbooking leather for these slippers Im fixing for a lady and they had leather. Not what I was looking for but it smelled good. I have a trackers nose. When I came back to the main aisle I was reminded of the hammocks and the fams. My friend I am fixing the slippers for needs a new fan and the fans here ate excellent! I will see about getting her one next month since she has a tight budget. And Ill also see about getting myself an indoor non hanging hammock to put in my room because every now and then everyone likes to be rocked to sleep. So Ill do a price check. Oh and I saw those pink buckets and they reminded me of when I was in Young Womens and we made cushioned camp chairs which could also convert into 24 hour kits. You just get some ply wood and cut it so it fits into the inner part of the lid right to the top. Then you drilll a hole ifor the screw to go through the ply wood and the bucket in the cemter of the lid while its in place on top of the bucketYou use a 1 1/2 foot of vinyl of any color and one square foot or a little less depending on how cushy you want it. if its those hot pink buckets I suggest for the vinyl colors: black or/and white stripes or checkers or sparkles or marble type vinyl, but its up to you. After you drill in the hole through the lid and the ply wood you put the screw through and put it upside down and put a washer on the other end and a nut or a wing nut. Which ever you prefer. Some people like to take the end of the screw off afterwards but some dont and they pick a wing nut. Usually so they can reupholster if they want to change the cushion out with the season or their mood. You can paint the bucket if its plain white or if its pink and you think pink is not enough. It would be a great way to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness and to get people prepared for camping or get their 24 hour/72 hour kits ready for when they need it. And theyll have a place to sit down when they are tired if they have a lot of walking to do. Its a good think to have handy.
