I am signed up for their email club. And there are times Im able to vet things I wanted and at a lower price. Especially on shoes. Husband goes through shoes rather quickly and it doesnt help our Papillon will eat his shoes. So when I can get a sale and extra off, I will take it. But I do call the 2 in my area to make sure which one has his size and color.

I just left this location, was sent by another Big 5 because they said this location had the item in stock. When I got here a young man helped me find the item which was a ping pong paddle, he was very nice but upon inspection at the purchase counter I notice the paddle was open and completely missing the inserts that would hold the paddle in, I politely informed the sales associate that and if they had another one in the package new, she said they didnt and started to ring me up, I said I wasnt going to purchase it that the item was a return item. They employees started to gang up and argue with me that they dont return and place items back on the sale floor and I responded why does it have ball markings that say otherwise, she inspects and notices the marks. A moment goes by and she says we wont be able to give out a discount... I never asked for any discount. I responded I never asked for one and just walked out.Employees that I give negative feedback as they didnt have their name tag warn.White female blonde hair wearing all pink, w/pink gater mask.Asian female no mask, short hair, gentlemen haircutI hate that I have to describe the employees in this fashion, I didnt want anything but to make a purchase and move on with my day.

I love this location. The staff is pleasant. The cashier made me feel like family. I went in to look at shoes and fishing gear. No hurry no pressure.

I went in to buy a pellet rifle, i saw the one i wanted i asked nicely is this one co2 or what is it powered by Richard replied with attitude its not for sale, i asked him its not on stock? And he replied yes but its not for sale it seemed like he didnt want to sell me the rifle because when i asked him why he couldnt sell it he had no other but because its not for sale only the ones with pink tags, i then go today and i ask a nice girl is that same gun for sale and she said yes all of them are and i told her about richard and she said it was weird how he didnt want to sell me the rifle so i give the store a 1 star but the girl 5 stars

The store manager was very helpful, she called several stores trying to help find a particular item so I could take the test. Even though she was very busy, she was able to help me in a timely manner and was nice, thank you. I give her 5 stars. But the store only gets one for their policyStore policy/priority for taking the firearm safety test is to purchase weapon from them to administer the test. If you are going to be a gun dealer to the public and have permission from the state to sell guns you need to be open to all not just customers. That is the responsibility that comes with being a dealer, you are an agent of the state to certify people can safely handle a firearm.

Best place to get your hunting license and buy shotgun ammo.

I always enjoy coming to this Big 5. Their staff are always friendly and engaging. Ive always been asked if I needed any help with any particular item or any questions. I always have fun perusing their knife display, and they dont seem to mind at all. Theyre always willing to show you anything you want to see, and I never feel rushed when Im looking at an item. They deserve every bit of recognition, at least this particular location

Went in to buy ammo, manager basically accosted me and asked if I needed help. I asked if they had ammo, manager said she was too busy on the floor to go in the back to get ammo. I told her Okay, thanks and left. Mind you there were hardly any customers in the shop at 7:15pm or so. Terrible laziness or perhaps she didnt need my business.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Been to several 5 Fives spending thousands of dollars over the years. This location gives Big 5 a bad name. From entering the staff makes you feel unwelcome by just staring you down and not even greeting you. Upon asking Luis for help, he told me he was to busy to point me in the right direction. 10mins later my encounter with Luis happens again at the register at the time of my check out. He was rude and unprofessional. I told him he needed to work and his customer service skills. I really don’t understand how they have people like this working for their company. I’m never coming to this location again. I’m going to spread the word to all my local parks and sports organizations that I’m associated with. You definitely messed with the wrong person.

Visited the big 5 today looking for my daughters soccer shoes which we saw online. An employee asked if we needed any assistance and quickly found the shoes we saw online. My daughter was fitted and we were out of there within 10 minutes. My daughter had a big smile on her face with her new soccer cleats as we departed the store. Big 5 also gives veterans a 10% discount. I wish all major store chains would offer a veterans discount. Will visit again.

Not bad. The one staff I interacted with was helpful. Overall though, its a small place. Doesnt seem like there are a lot of options. But if you know what you want is there, could be a good place to go to.

Pretty well stocked. A few choices for everything we wanted to buy. Good service at checkout. A little cramped. Tough to make it through some of the aisles if there was another customer.

The guy at the door letting people in makes you fill your business is not welcome here.

Nice location that Ive been going to throughout my life thus far. Friendly staff, wide selection, and organized store. My only gripe is that they have an issue with labelling. Lots of times youll find product with no prices by it, or product with obviously wrong labels. However, a simple question fixes that.

Checked online, said they had it in stock, arrived at the store and it was actually there! Really friendly staff and great prices, the way shipping is supposed to be!

This Big 5 was ok for me. It is messy. And I ask for costumer help just because I was running late. I waited while I was looking to. Help never came. I was there more then 10 minutes. Until I found what I was looking for. Also I got something that had price of $14.99 and they charge me $16.99. I didnt notice this until I saw my recipe. Its not a big deal because its just a few dollars more but if your going to buy something more then $50 I think that can make a lot of difference. So just look out guys for that to.

This store is the best Big 5 around. The value and the excellent customer service is top notch. Which is why Ive been shopping here for over 10 yrs.I recently purchased several pairs of high quality non-brand name running shoes that I have bought before for pennies on the dollar. Shoes that I get well over 100 miles running on (yes, I keep track) These shoes last longer than Adidas, Saucony or Nike,..shoes I used to purchase. The staff at Big 5 suggested this off brand a few years ago and I couldnt be happier. If youve never been to this location and want some good old-fashion customer service (which now appears to be extinct) then you might want to give them a try. You wont be disappointed!

Everytime I come to this Big 5 Store I always bump into helpfull and outgoing staff member, keep up the great vibes.

When I went there this past Tuesday the shelves were empty had nothing as far as fishing equipment or hunting

Its cool only problem I had was when an item was listed online for cheaper than it was in the store and I wasnt given that price adjustment.

I made a purchase and unfortunately I found there was missing parts in the box. I returned the next day and the cashier made the transaction very simple. She just had me go grab another one and checked at the counter to ensure all parts were there.

Great sales prices especially on work shoes friendly helpful employees. Great place to shop

This rating is based on the surrounding stores in my area. Chino location in a smaller store, in comparaison to there other two stores. Big 5 does not advertise this fact, nor tell you it has 30% less merchandise either. Bummer, as a business you would think they would market that location as such.

Had to ask for an apology, no acceptance of their mistake. Waited 10 days for shotgun. Came to pick it up, manager Monica told me they did paperwork wrong. Have to wait 10 more days. Tried to get me to sign so it looks like gun returned and its my fault, didnt sign. Never took posession of gun, trying to cover their mistake, was given 10% back, what a slap in the face! Have to wait 10 more days. No xmas present for me.. thanks big 5 for the lack of compassion to your customers! I know it went wrong when i was buying the gun and she had to take her lunch break leaving an inexperienced employee to finish the gun sale. I told her she should have finished the transaction and postponed her lunch break, she said they make us take our breaks... i told her thats not true that shes the manager and should have finished the gun sale. When I left she mentioned that she would do all gun sales fecitiously... Big 5 sucks!

According to the return policy I should be able to exchange my merchandise but the manager is not allowing me to, all the original tags are still on the merchandise. Daniel is the manager who is creating the issue.

They were very helpful, kind and curtious . 1st of all we went there for my wife she needs shoes. When we got in the store she went straight for the bebe guns counter and I went straight to the shoes. Long story short I got me a pair of shoes and she tried to talk me into buying a bebe gun. Never the less great service with a smile. Hahaha

12-11-12... Everyone here is so sweet and helpful. I buy ammo here often and evn though prices can be higher than walmart its the attitudes of the ladies that makes those few dollars worth it.

This little employee girl interrupt my sale by trying to let another employee pay first when already cashier had my item to ring up, store not clean, plus clutterd in each aisle...

All good but alot of mis places things, I was very upset when I found out a nike shirt that I wanted wasnt on sale even though it was place with multiple of the same shirts on the wrongrack.

Could use some tiding up and a smile on the employees face.
