Absolute horrible service and overpriced., I had TB pool open my pool this spring (about $275) and two guys came out. One did an absolutely horrible job “cleaning” the cover (he sprayed it off with my water hose), so I had to unroll it and clean it all myself after they left because it was covered with flower pedals and grass and other junk from winter that I wasn’t about to put away to get moldy and gross in my basement.. The other guy tightened everything to the point I couldn’t shut the valves when necessary in order to perform weekly cleaning. He also somehow got pebble stones from the surrounding pool area INTO the secondary filter, risking ruining the pool pump. I called to complain to the owner and never received a return call. I let it pass and chalked it up to a one-off bad job, though I would have thought my phone call would have been returned. When they came to close the pool, it was the same two men. When I mentioned that they didn’t do a great job opening the pool and told the guy about the pebbles, he denied it was him and asked, “do you have children?” Implying perhaps it was someone else. I said yes, I have two children, 22 and 26 and they never go in the pool, and that I had found the pebbles just after he left when I went to check on the pool filter. For the fall closing, I just left a check for $279.32 to close the pool with a note that asked them to blow up the pillow, take out the stairs and put the equipment over by the bulkhead on the other side of the pool (I had called ahead to make sure this was okay to ask for). Instead, I just found all the equipment in a jumble all around where they took it apart and not placed where I had asked, meaning I now have to drag it all over to the bulkhead. And the note was crumpled up and left with all the equipment. I left another message for the owner and it’s been hours and still no call back. I’m tempted to put a stop payment on the check just to force someone to call me, but honestly don’t want to spend another $30 fee to do that. Instead, I will be broadcasting my experiences with this bad business and making sure people avoid them at all costs!Update: received a letter today with my check returned, a “best if we go our separate ways” response, and no apology. To those thinking about this company: please consider that there is literally no responsibility/remorse/accountability taken by this business; not one apology issued! Every response to the long list of complaints places the onus of responsibility on the customer (“we can’t meet some customer’s expectations“) or on employees having a “bad day.” A simple returned call and apology might have saved this company some business, but clearly they just don’t care or need the customers.(Click on the picture below to see a video of how they left my equipment.)

Bought our house at end of season last year. We were told this June that we would be put on the list to be able to purchase chemicals. Came back today to find out we weren’t put on that list. Can’t get chemicals to upkeep the pool. My husband called before we drove out there and was told we were on the list and should be all set.Update: we just went to Leslie’s pools. You don’t need to be on ANY lists. They had plenty of chlorine and were cheaper than Teddy Bear. Better customer service. Better prices!!!Don’t waste your time…go to Leslie’s pools on Boston Rd, Springfield, Ma.

After a delayed installation issue Glen and Ted made sure we were taken care of and our concerns were addressed . I appreciated the communication once a problem was brought up and feel they did what they could to fix it in a timely manner . A year later ( pool was installed The middle of August 2020) and we are loving our pool !

I had a great experience with this company I just had to share. My mother purchased a Colosseum pool this year. The person that she hired lost one of the main pieces needed to put the pool together! My mother called pool companies all over the united states before being recommended teddy bear pools and spas. I sold this part but did not have it in stock. This company went out of their way to take another piece from their inventory to reshape into the product that we needed within hours! but after all that hard work, the individual who lost the original part found it and on top of that UPS damaged the package to the point where they had to cancel the order. Teddy bear pools and spas was so helpful they issued a full refund!! between losing the part, ordering the part, finding the original part, having the replacement part destroyed this whole scenario was a nightmare but I wanted to give kudos to teddy bear pools and spas for being class at professionals and helping at their own cost!I will absolutely be keeping us company in mind for future purchases!

Made an online order. After the order was placed, I needed to change the ship-to address. I called & left a message after being transferred to the correct department by the operator. I reluctantly left a message then kept my fingers crossed I would get a call back. In less than 30 minutes, I received a call back & the change was processed. Teddy Bear Pools is the best. 10 years ago, I bought a used Esther Williams pool. The size is 23’X50”. Turns our EW only made this pool for 2 years. Teddy Bear is the only company that I was able to find that acknowledged EW ever made a pool this size and they stock the liners for it. I have purchased 3 liners From Teddy Bear for EW pools and Teddy Bear is the only store I will ever buy a liner from. Brian in parts is extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

I called to get a quote for a liner and the woman was rude. After I got the quote, I left 2 messages a week apart to schedule the install and still have not heard back. This is not a good sign. Will now look for a different company.

I thought it was a good place to to go but I should’ve known the employees look & talk to you like you don’t belong there or you’re bothering them. Went to buy a hose & the cashier turned me down cuz I didn’t have my ID with my debit card I mean you already asked for my address & I have my pin thanks for the waste of gas & the more stress of opening my pool for the kids. I asked to speak with the manager so he can help & the cashier says I AM THE MANAGER like she owns the place!! Thanks ocean state job lot for not giving me a problem with my purchase. I give the store 5 stars.. the pool water testing center is amazing, great customer service.. the reason for 1 starr is because the front register they are snotty and rude, especially the tall old lady with glasses and the heavy set cashier.. she thinks shes above all customers.. we call that being a rude and nasty bit**.. this is why customers shop online, they dont have to deal with rude nonchalant customer service reps... bad for business

I dont know what happened to the cashiers at this place. I stopped by with my water sample to get tested on my way to work. Ive been going to Teddy Bears since 1973 when my parents had our inground pool put in by them. Ive continued to go there since I had my pool put in 16 yrs ago. I even had them replace my liner last year. Today was extremely upsetting. After having my water tested and had everything I needed to purchase, I proceeded to the cashier. 3 cashiers were talking, standing around while I approached the first cashier area, no one turned to ask if I was all set, went to the 2nd cashier area had a close sign. One of them saw me and didnt say a thing. I noticed a gentleman at the last cashier being help so waited until he was done thinking that must be the only cashier working. Behind me a gentleman comes up to the cashier area I just came from with no one helping me and one of the cashiers who was talking turns and said I can help the next person. She started helping this gentleman. I said excuse me Ive been waiting here for someone to help me 1st. She said that I could wait behind the other guy. I couldnt believe she said that. I left my cart full of the items I was to purchased and walked right out the door very upset. I can tell you right now. I will never walk into this establishment again, nor do I recommend anyone to go there. After looking at so many of the reviews I see I am not the only one who feels that way. Its sad when people or owners dont see how important customer service is. This place is horrible. Century pool memorial drive here I come. The only suggestion is to fire these cashiers and replace them with people who are more customer oriented and nice.

Very professional and punctual, starting with the first phone call I made asking for someone to come and close my pool. The employee told me what they would need from me in order for a successful pool closing, what time theyd arrive, and how much it would cost. They also sent a postcard reminder in the mail ahead of time. They came on time and they completed the job completely and well. Great service!

I contacted this place in an effort to support my local businesses and because they are well known in the community. When I called in the beginning of March to get someone to come out and do a quote, i left a voicemail and was called back about a week later. Which was not a big deal, i knew that pool season was approaching, i expect them to be busy. The woman was nice and very informative and had someone come out that same week, March 17 or something close to it. He also was nice, very informative and descriptive with the process. He gave me the quote and told me to reach out to service once i was ready to schedule, and that at that point they were scheduling out about mid to late June. Perfect! Let me tell you, i called that number (pressed 5 for service and 3 for inground) 2-3 times A WEEK for three straight weeks! Leaving ALL of my information! So at that point i decided to go to the place in person!! I was told that the service center was in a different location and that the woman who answers the phone makes her own appointments. I was furious, informed them that not only was she not answering, as part of her JOB, she also was not calling me back. I was asked if i had sent an email. Of course i had not because,....if you arent answering ACTUAL CALLS or returning voicemail, why would i think an email would be better! I asked for a customer service number or a supervisor to talk to. I was only offered to have an email sent to the woman in service. So the cashier sent an email with my information to the woman in service while i was there. I was told all that i could do was wait. It is now April 30th...that was three weeks ago! No one has called me at all! And even though Ive moved on to a different company, i STILL call periodically just to see if anyone answers...and still no answer. I took the time to write this because the lack of professionalism and even just human decency and consideration does not exits here, or at least not for me. I have no idea why, but good luck to you all!

This was our first summer in a our new house and the pool needed a lot of work. We received 3 quotes and choose Teddy Bear Pools to do the work. From the day we signed off on the quote to the day they closed the pool at the end of the season we had an excellent experience. The quality of the work exceeded our expectations and the customer service was fantastic. It is obvious that JoAnn and her installers take pride in their work and it showed in all aspects of the liner replacement, new stairs to the finished product. JoAnn was extremely helpful in the entire process and genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible, she is great! Ted the owner even gave me a call to make sure I was getting treated well. I thought that was a nice touch. The guys on site were a pleasure, were always very responsive to any questions and cleaned up the construction area everyday. Great experience, on-time, in budget, no surprises, we would highly recommend Teddy Bear Pools.

They had the part. Thats about the only good thing. Maybe have a little patience and give a customer the experience that makes them want to come back! There are people who should just not deal with customers. Rude and obnoxious. I asked if he was always this pleasant, and the response was a sarcastic yes. I have stopped here for convenience only, but not again. Drewnowski has always been great.

Scott Alexander the sales rep was great!!! But the owner however treated me very poorly. I made a mistake didnt know I was in a handicap parking spot honest mistake on my end I did not realise I was. So after I ask if the pool was ready for pick up. They said yes. I told them Im going to get the truck and return for the pool. Walking to my car as I was about to exit the owner approached me and asked me was I handicapped I said no why not knowing I was in a handicap parking spot. He then told me he was going to leave me handicapped and continued with other insulting words as I was leaving. I told him why was he talking to me that way and so aggressively after he literally left me a voice mail thanking me for my buisness but to then do what he did after a mistake I made. Things couldve been handled way better and more professional. He then canceled my order gave me a refund.

I am so disappointed at the service I received here. I was greeted by an older male with a bad tan khaki shorts and a gold chain that was holding onto dear life around his neck. I really hope he wasn’t the owner. Social distancing is clearly not in his vocabulary. He continuously touched My shoulder and kept telling me to just buy it somewhere else. He listen to nothing I said and barely let me speak. I’m not sure what’s going on there. I was ready to purchase a $2000 item and he completely talked me out of it loud and annoying. I will never go there again and anyone I know will hear of this experience.The girl at the entrance was a sweetheart.

Great experience with pool install in 2013. Everything was excellent and pool has been wonderful. Fast forward until now. My above ground pool liner was “sagging” on one side so I called in for help. I was amazed at how quick they came out, had me drain the pool, then rushed back out to fix the liner. They didn’t even charge me! After they were done I filled the pool back up and threw the cover on to close it for the year. The next day I come home from work and the pool was EMPTY. To make this long story short; Pool is fine, no leaks, Teddy Bear comes out to fix issue, all of a sudden the pool is draining out all of the water from somewhere. They came back out and now they want $1500 for a new liner, they say I have too many holes to patch from my vacuum or insects. All of “these” holes were filled with sediment and were disturbed when the pool was drained for the initial liner issue. REALLY? The guy even laughed at me on the phone when I questioned these statements. They might be good at the install, but let’s hope you never have issues. Plus, there are lots of competitors in the area now, do your research, read the reviews and stay away from the trouble down the road.

They sold my mom and step dad a hot tub last fall at the Big E. The pump went last week they called them and were told someone would be out Monday. Parents waited and waited and called to find out ETA only to be told they were too busy and they would be by today with all the parts needed to fix it. Today repair guy came by (no parts) and after taking a look at it and says pump burnt out and its not fixable?Theyre also trying to give my step dad a hard time about the warranty. Watch out for these scammers. My parents are U.S. Navy Vets in their 50s and 60s and they had no problem doing this so better believe your naive nanas and papas are not safe from deceptive sales people

Had a delivery from TedEx this week of pool chemicals and it brought back a lot of great memories of Ted Hebert and Teddy Bear pools. Bought our pool form Ted in 1988 and this summer will be our 33th year using the pool. Over the course of the years the service, opening, closing and in store water testing and problem resolution has always been first rate. When you buy a pool you always consider the price, but when you consider how long it will last, the quality and reliability of the organization behind the pool is critical. We stopped in here to check out their pools. They have a nice selection of pools and spas to select from. They are a full service pool and spa center. Everything you would need can be found here. The staff is very polite and friendly, and helpful when answering your questions and concerns. I definitely feel comfortable about buying from here as opposed to other places that are quick to sell but leave you feeling like something is a miss. Teddy Bear Pools and Spas, will sell a complete package to get you started and includes all your stuff you need for the year. The only thing to buy is refill chemicals once you finish the ones included in the package!!!

I came here with my uncle. Because he had to test his pool water to make sure he was putting in the right stuff. My uncle bought some pool chemicals to make the water blue again. Yes my uncle likes what he bought. This place also has a small parking lot with on street parking as well. This place sells all kinds of pool supplies, chemicals, pool floats and has there own water testing labs as well. They also sell pools and hot tubs I think as well. This place has handicap accessible entrance.

This is a review from my experience with Teddy Bear Pools...from 1984. No, that isnt a typo. 1984. Thats how long theyve been around (I am certain longer, but that is where my memory of this company began).I was 7 or 8 years old back in 1984 and my grandmother, whom I lived with then in South Hadley, called Teddy Bear Pools (note: they are at the same location today, 2019, as they were back in 84!) to have an above ground pool installed.I remember being already excited and in my swimming shorts before they even came out! Teddy Bear Pools came out, I remember, with all the equipment and used a small tractor to make the round hole in the yard (they fixed the grass too from the tractor tracks), packed the hole with some kind of sand and let it settle and then built the above ground pool.The filter they provided in 1984 I remember lasting until at least 1994 when I left home. The day they put the pool up I remember grabbing the garden hose and taking over two days to fill it!After that, 1984, 85, 86, 87 and on I would ride my bike from South Hadley to them in Chicopee for chlorine or shock treatment or whatever and they would always take my water samples and analyze them to make sure I was buying the right stuff for the pool. I was just a kid with my mothers money but they treated me like family.My Teddy Bear Pool was perhaps my *best* childhood memory. All these years later the company is still here. Doesnt that say something? I say if youre thinking about getting a pool for your yard, start with calling Teddy Bear Pools and give your kids and yourself memories that will last a lifetime!

He called us at night, on the weekends, and emailed us to let us know what was going on. He did whatever he could to get us the parts we needed. The pool opening is not worth the cost as they didnt even leave information to guide me to get the water blue. Most of the videos on YouTube provided enough information to open and maintain a pool. My filter and pump is broken now. I enjoy the water testing services at the office and the spa services were very good and helpful.

Brand new pool, not even a year old and already leaking significant amount of water. Emailed JoAnn and John to send someone in to find a leak. Service guys showed up 3 days ago, with out calling or notified that they are coming. They could not find a leak, so the water is still leaking out significant amound 3 days later. Emailed JoAnn multiple times. Service guys were supposed to show up yesterday, today or maybe they will come tomorrow, or who knows when. Pool is still leaking, large amount of water is gone. Its been leaking for 3 days since last time they were here and now they want me to fill up the pool. They are very inconsiderate for my schedule and working nights. Which I told them, multiple time( all in emails). I told JoAnn multiple time to have guys call me when they come because I work at the hospital as an RN at night, we are pretty busy with pandemic going on. I need to sleep, I cant be waiting for them all day, so they can show up whenever they want. For which I was totally ignored. They were supposed to show up yestarday, today and no one is showing up. Then Im being lied to, they say that they were here, but no one answered. Im always home after working nights and if I have something going I make sure I emailed JoAnn and asked when service is coming, so I can have someone here. When I tried to call, no one answers. Very disappointed with brand new pool already leaking and horrible service!. They supposed to show up tomorrow at 12pm, lets see if that happens. They want me to leave the gate open. I dont leave gate open, so someone ( kid)can come in and drown in the pool. That is not very smart for pool company to say that.Addendum, service was supposed to come by on Saturday at 12 pm, and No one ever showed up! Total waste of time and ignorance! Joann, emailed me Friday saying Wayne said to fill pool up to the middle of the skimmer. Friday, no one showed up or called. End up texting Ted, he responded back, saying hell send someone monday, so I wasted all that water filling the pool and No one was coming!Luckily for me, I was able to find someone else who responded within 20 min and was here within an hour. After teddy bear service wasted 4 days, no show, no calls. Horrible service!!!!!Nevermind, it was a stressful experience building a pool with them. They keep you out of loop. Very arrogant workers! They were supposed to use my soil from my property to even everything out, but instead they took mine away and told me that I need loan. Apperantly, my soil was good for rest of my property but not to even out that last section which after many argument they brought me hard as rock, cement like dirt.Also, mason guy was going to do concrete on sand which I absolutely refused to have it done on the sand. It took 7 days and Ted called him, for mason guy to call me back, but I after I told him I need concrete to be done on gravel, I never heard from him again. He also did stamped concrete for my neighbor many years ago which ruined and the guy just disappeared.If you absolutely have to have teddy bear do work for you, watch what they do!

We bought our jacuzzi from Teddy Bear and the experience was great. However, We are moving and need to re-locate the unit. I have called numerous times and have left voice mail messages which are never returned. Their service department and commitment to customers is very disappointing.

Another trip to the Big E, another adventure to find great stuff for the home. This year was a new hot tub. We walked into 3 different vendors only to be circled by hawks. Teddy Bears was completely different.Being in sales i know the main objective is to close the deal, but the other places were overbearing. During our browsing through Teddy Bears we were able to breathe, but at the same time once we had questions their associate Rod was immediately there to answer them. We were NOT being sold, which felt great. I only gave 4 stars as all the other vendors are 6 weeks out, and i feel the delivery date of 2 weeks out may have been a sales pitch... I will certainly change this to 5 stars if the installation goes as well as our Big E adventure....

I looked everywhere for the bottom rail wall track for my above ground pool. I finally found it online at Teddy Bear Pools and Spas. I was a little nervous about ordering over $100 worth of product from all the way in Massachusetts, however their the only ones that had them for an affordable price. I bit the bullet, made the order and got my stuff 3 days later. Extremely fast shipping. I used ( priority mail) but they did ship it out same day. They also emailed me with a tracking number so I could keep up with delivery. I sent them an email and they responded same day as well. I will never meet these people or work with them personally seeing how I live in Alabama. So i have no reason to lie saying their great if they were not.

Avoid working with Teddy Bear. Very poor communication and no support from customer service. I simply wanted a liner replace and after 2.5 years and a lot of aggravation, we finally, finally have one in place. The first liner installed by them was wrinkled and webbed on the stairs. I reached out to have it fixed, they came out to fix it and then we found a screw under the new liner. They had to come back out and get it out. This would all be fine over the span of maybe 1 season, but this took 3 seasons to complete. Teddy Bear would routinely send people out without notifying me first, reschedule on very short notice, or simply not show up. This relatively simple job required near constant hand-holding and babysitting every step of the way- not something I would expect from professionals. Before leaving this review on google I reached out to customer assistance to discuss the experience I had privately, but they never responded. I cant say that Im surprised.If you have the option to use another company for your pool, I strongly urge you to choose another company. Save yourself the time and trouble of cajoling Teddy Bear into doing the job you hired them for properly and in a timely manner.EDIT response to the owner: you appear to be very eager to comment on reviews left on google, yet unwilling to speak directly to the customer when issues arise. If I were a business owner, I would want to hear how I could do better rather than lashing out when a negative review appears online. I reached out several times to remedy the issues we had and received no response. I am in fact still willing to speak to you about my experience. You have my contact information if you would like to chat. I will remove this edit if he ever does reach out. If not, I guess he cares more about the appearance of attentive service than actually providing it.

I bought a pool from TB years ago. When it died, I bought another one. My neighbors asked about TB while the new pool was going in. THEY got TB pools. I bought a spa in 2001,and have had great service from TB. We called yesterday and asked about a part. My boyfriend, who is also my contractor, said he would BE THERE IN THE MORNING. This morning I gave him my credit card to go. The part was $15. They would not sell him the part. He had my hot tub information, serial #, a coupon addressed to my name and address from TB. TB has a computer file on all my purchases including serial #s, full name, address....... I called and the manager said it was to prevent credit card fraud. She said What if you were getting a divorce and he was using your card? What if? HE WOULD STILL BE FIXING MY HOT TUB! EVEN IF HE WAS A CREDIT CARD THIEF, HE WAS BUYING A 15$ PART TO FIX MY TUB. She said their policy also says they can not call me during the transaction. Absolutely assinine.

Ordered some Esther Williams pool parts after about 10 days called for a tracking number. Found out package was damaged in transit and undeliverable. Called teddy bear they pretty much said sorry about your luck file a claim with FedEx. Teddy Bear got paid FedEx got paid and right now I am out over 100 dollars........They resent my order very happy now would buy again. Thank you Teddy Bear!!!!

My pool light has been leaking since the beginning of the summer. Teddy bear pools came to look at it and left me a note I didnt understandI left my messages. No one called me back. Finally I spoke with the owner who tolded it would be taken care of. The person came and left light on the side of the pool and never came back. Its been a month. I cant close my pool and now I need to figure this out on my own. Until spring. Do not use these people for anything. I will never use them again after how Ive been treated.

Ordered an above ground pool liner, and outer decorative facade and a filter. We knew nothing just did what they suggested and paid n full before we began. They showed up and I explained that we needed to pool to match up with the existing deck and to make the center a little deeper just as the current one was. No problem they said. They went to work. When they were done, the pool didnt match with the deck, they had to shift the pool out a bit so they had to dig up the yard a bit. They just tossed the soil. The decorative facade wasnt what we ordered and when we used the pool the center was flat. Apparently they put up what they wanted to get rid of. Kinda like Tell them whet they want to hear and then do what they want. They left an enormous pile of debris in the yard. When I asked if they were going to clean that up they said it says in the contract... they dont. Then after many complaints and visits where I was passed on to different people they offered a small reimbursement. No way. Then we found out that the filter that they sold us was way to big for the size pool we had. Eventually we gave up. After a few years we have become adjusted to looking at the outside of our pool, the one we didit order and looking at the oversized filter. Oh and by the way, the pile of debris, cardboard, etc got rained on the next day. The owner did come to or house and apologized and said we could have everything replaced at the end of the year but we decided not to endure more of the same.

15 years ago I purchased an in-ground pool from Teddy Bear. I have since purchased a spa, new liner, and annual chemicals. I am impressed with the knowledge of the staff and the help they have provided over the years with maintenance of the pool and equipment. Their openings/closings are timely. I would strongly recommend Teddy Bear for all pool/spa needs.

The above ground pool we purchased in June 2014 failed twice, the first time after the first season and the second time, this spring (2019). We are veteran above ground pool owners who have many years of positive experience with pools, so this has been quite a disturbing, not to mention expensive, experience for our family.The company offered a $4600 replacement pool, which we declined.

I have been going to Teddy Bear Pools and Spas since the mid 80s for my mothers pool and then for my own pool since 2003 (both in ground) I have never once had a bad experience while visiting the store, the staff has always treated me with the utmost respect. I go there for all of my pool needs and supplies, the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I have uses just about every department within the store, from the lab to service and to the parts department including the purchasing of a new liner and specialty cover, I always leave satisfied with my visit and I have had some difficulties with my pool in the past and the lab staff, especially Glen has never given up on my situations, he would stay on top of my problem till we get my water conditioning problem resolved Thanks Gl;en, your the best, I would never consider any other pool company or store for my pool needs.

We bought a house with a teddy bear Pool and have been buying our supplies and getting our service done there since 2003. That however changed after a visit to our house last season to assess a leak that sprung during the winter. It was an obvious one to. One of the sharp corners of a column foot had come into contact with the liner due to some erosion. It was clear where the leak was, because you could see the hole and feel the metal foot, as well as see where the liner had sunk toward it causing the problem. I didnt hold them responsible for that, because the pool was more than 10 years old. Where they made their mistake was the pool tech and I were in the pool behind the liner where he began trying to convince me with a certainty that it wasnt just one hole, but rather many many holes all around the perimeter caused by termites. He was pointing toward all these imaginary holes with the flashlight which I tried very hard to see, but couldnt and quite frankly was insulted by the attempt since Id described a catostrophic leak drew the pool down in a couple of days. His advice was a new liner and something in the neighborhood of $1400 or more. I bought a $20 liner patch kit, patched the one obvious hole, back-filled where the erosion occurred, filled the pool up, used it all last summer and it even held fast through this last harsh winter. The pool is open now, still on that $20 patch and were looking forward to a few more years out of it. Sorry Teddy Bear Pools, but you lost us with that move.

Went in today after work (great hrs. open till 7 so you dont have to rush around) with my pump and motor in hand. Planned on buying both since it looked like it didnt separate. Kevin tested the motor, trouble shot the issue, after we both heard it run I decided to get another motor, this one was 10 years old, and kevin fixed it on the spot. New motor, same pump saved me money.There is something to say about good quality and good service. Im 57 years old and appreciate both very much. Thank you.

I was told several times that they, service personalcouldnt, see anything wrong with my pool cleaner. I picked it up and took it apart because thats how one finds a problem. I found three bushings that were worn enough to potentially cause a problem. The drive side plate one pin that holds an idler was completely broken away from the side plate. I cant believe that no one had the initiative to take it apart.

We went with Teddy Bear pools to replace our pool liner. Bad experience all around with this company. We finally gave up when we were spoken to rudely by several employees and today, that INCLUDED the owner! Sharp rocks under the new liner - we were told to just push them in. Pool light no longer works - first they charge us for a new bulb. When that fails to work, the very experienced service tech told us the transformer was shot and we needed an electrician. Hired an electrician who found nothing wrong with the transformer. My husband took everything apart yesterday and he finally figured out the bulb Teddy Bear pools installed was the wrong one. Owners comment to me regarding this fact - so - we made a mistake!We ARE NOT the type of people who complain or write reviews. We usually chalk it up to someone having a bad day. However, we decided to call today to voice our final decision NOT to use their services any longer and the owner calls me and berates me. Tells me they replaced 163 liners so far this season and I am the only person with a complaint. I tried to hold a conversation with this gentleman and HE got so worked up HE hung up! WE were not asking for anything from this business, but only to give feedback on poor service. What I think, Mr. Teddy Bear, is you have lost this customer. My future pool needs will be serviced elsewhere.

I have always had a good experience with Teddy Bear Pools and Spa until this week. I had an opening that was performed by an Apprentice that did not have the work checked by the supervisor. Okay, small things happen but everything was set up completely wrong. Spoke with the service supervisor Chuck who admitted to the mistake ( I think that is fair ). But then I had to have the Pump Motor replaced due to it being inoperable and I asked for a quote and they replaced the motor and stated everything was fine when in-fact the (new) motor was wired incorrectly with The Ground on the neutral and the Neutral on the ground which shorted out my whole system. And the new motor was then not working because of it.I had a run-around with Bill who is head of the Service Department. Who finally I got in touch with today who stated I will Squash the bill for everything. I will cancel your fall closing and you can go to Julians Pool to do your service and HAVE A NICE LIFE! I have no words for the way I was spoken to. He should be FIRED!!!

HORRIBLY RUDE SERVICE TECH. Unbelievably bad people skills! He responded by phone to a service request I submitted online and essentially barked at me as if we were in some sort of argument.When we got to the subject of my Poolboy cover retractor not working, he was incredibly condescending and spoke to me as if I didnt know how to operate the remote (in 5 years Ive never been unsuccessful at operating the system until now).Then he said he thought we might also need a new solar blanket, which he had tried and failed to repair. I was agreeable to the idea but of course I assumed hed give me a quote for the new cover before installing it (who buys something without being told the price?!) He said he would put in a work order for the following week. The following Monday, despite not giving me any notice whatsoever theyd be coming, they arrived and started to work on the Poolboy unit. When I clarified with one of the techs that I needed a quote on the cover installation he was surprised; the work order was written for the Poolboy repair AND a new cover! If I hadnt been home and mentioned it, they would have just gone ahead with the cover installation at an unknown cost. But mostly, the guy on the phone was just super super rude.

Not happy AT ALL regarding spa service. I placed a request at the end of April for the repair of a broken line that cracked as a result of our severely cold weather this past winter. I made it clear that I needed / wanted the repair done regardless of whether or not insurance covered the repair. It is now June 1 and getting anyone (other than Ray) from Teddy Bear to respond promptly to phone calls from me, the insurance adjuster or insurance agents is impossible. Up until now their service has been satisfactory to above average ~ but this experience has been absolutely horrible and has caused extreme frustration with this company.There is no excuse for this many unreturned phone calls, nor for the progress to be NOTHING in a five-week period.

Best pool supply and service place around. So glad I was basically forced to try them when all I got was terrible service and no responses from local (Agawam) pool businesses. It is worth the 15 minute drive, believe me!Chemical, supply and service reps know their stuff. Theyre not kids in a summer job who dont care (some may be kids, but theyre well-trained and they do care!) like some other businesses.They will respond to your calls, quickly and give you the best advice. They also have instructuinal videos online. Go to YouTube and find what you need! I live their chemicals, too, fair price and great quality.Try Teddy Bear Pools and youll never go back to those other guys.

I had nearly the same exact experience as the previous reviewer posted below, so I just copied to my posting. Kevin was great. In addition to comments below, he explained what he was doing and why. He replaced my motor on existing pump system while I waited, and saved me a ton of money. This is my 3rd or 4th positive experience at TB Pool ! Its well worth the drive from Enfield, CT. I had my pool opened 3 weeks ago; and shortly after I ordered a new pool cover. I immediately went to the store and put down $1200, which was about half the cost as they requested.. From the day my pool was opened until now they still havent removed the old cover, which is still on my patio. When its windy it falls on my potted plants. I have a bad shoulder, probably torn rotator cuff, just had an MRI. I am in serious pain and cant move the cover. I have asked several times for them to get it out of here. I am a VERY GOOD CUSTOMER; and I dont think Teddy would be happy with the treatment I am receiving.The day after my post the pool cover was removed. I appreciate that very much; however I hate that I had to post a complaint to get this done.
