We order a speaker and Guitar center canceled the order. Then we reorder a different speaker and we called and said it should be arriving the following week. We never received a phone call nor a email stating it came in. By now it’s been over a month. We called customer service and they stated that the store mix up and gave it away to a different customer.

Bought most of my instruments here, great prices but theyll match cheaper ones from websites. Friendly, helpful employees.

Hands down the worst customer assistance/service. Workers would rather stand around talking about their new favorite blunt wrap then help you find a product.

Great staff, the manager personally helped me with what i needed today, very informative and helpful! been coming back since they opened in 2013!Got my first Taylor Acoustic today! They easily assisted me with a previous return and they have a wonderful warranty through them for your gear, experienced technician there that is Taylor Certified!

Do not buy any Music software from this store because I will not able to return even the product is not working. The Associate just when you are open the software, you are not able to return it. If you are want to buy music software just buy from Amazon because it is easy to return.

Mike the guitar technician is awesome! His prices are great. He filed down a new Bridge for acoustic electric. It was very difficult for me to do it since the pickups were in the bridge. He also lowered the action to get it more like a Taylor. Only $50.I was also having a problem with my ukulele buzzing. Nobody could figure out what was wrong with it as nothing seemed to be loose. He determined I needed new strings. And thats all I had to pay for. Thanks Mike.I have moved from the area and Im really going to miss his service!

I am a brand new student of bass guitar - knew nothing about playing bass....or any instrument for that matter. I wanted to learn how to play bass for years - has been on my bucket list for years. Finally went in this year to Guitar Center in Chico and signed up for lessons - and bought a bass too! The folks there at Guitar Center are great - super friendly, very helpful, great enthusiasm for music - and my bass teacher is amazing - cant believe how much Ive learned in just a couple of lessons. Highly recommend them - great experience all the way around - and super fun store!

The Crew from Assistant Manager on down is great and very helpful and so was their last manager. Their current manager, on the other hand, is an Elitist, Misogynistic human being that apparently enjoys hurting GCs customers on a daily basis for no reason. Ive even seen the CSAs try to help people and then he calls them to his area (many times a day). They come back with a sad face to tell the client that they honestly have to do a disservice to them and add some lame excuse on why they should love GC for it...

Asked for help with acoustic guitar and was ignored. The counter person said I dont know anything about guitars Im the drum guy. I just asked can someone answer some questions I had to find a guitar for my son. After 25 min my wife and I left. I will never go there again.

I went in the other day and bought an acoustic guitar and the guy at the register was super funny and charismatic. They have a great selection guitars.My only gripe is the seemingly small amount of keyboards available compared to other Guitar Centers Ive gone to that are similarly sized.

Will was eager to help with my questions. Inventory was low.

I think I had a blended mocha with whip and Carmel. Seems like the two young ladies kinda didnt care about the quality or just didnt know how to make the drink.... Still drank it. Tasted good but blended and watery are two different things. Anyway good luck maybe I just ordered the wrong thing...

The staff is always friendly and greets as we enter. I come with a disabled person in a wheel chair, and they always make a point of greeting them as well as me. Rare but so appreciated!

Good all around music big box. Chicos is pretty good although they dont have many lefty guitars as per usual for any store and any handed item. Not the stores fault though and guitars is not my main gig, Ill a percussionist and handedness is less a thing although it still is in word ways you wouldnt think of. Anyways, the store is good although they killed the local downtown one and once Guitar Center inevitably goes under and this location gets liquidated, I hope a local music store can fill that price store gap again.

They have a good inventory of everything except what I needed audio equipment, voice box, etc..

Staff is friendly and helpful. The individuals that provide the lessons are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The store is well stocked with instruments, and accessories. The store is easy to navigate through, and customers are helped in a timely manner. Customer service answers the phone pleasantly, and is able to handle any inquiries that you may have.

Nice store Ive been in a few Guitar centers and this one was large and seemed to have a good selection of products. The only reason they lost the star they didnt have baritone ukulele strings designated order it but I live in 40 minutes away in the town I just moved to and frankly stores like that brick and mortar need to carry at least a small selection of everything monopolize on Impulse Sales in the moment or whoever it is like myself is just going to go home and order it on Amazon

Went in to find a piano keyboard for my daughter. Everyone that works there was really helpful and friendly, I got what I was looking for and learned a lot from the knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended if you are looking for any musical instrument

Wow, poor service is plentiful these days. Went in and looked at bass guitars for over half an hour, not a single salesman showed up to assist. Ill go online and make my purchase.

Took my guitar in for a tune up. Due to the amount of guitars being worked on it took 3 weeks for the work to get done after calling a few times to get an update. Within a week it had fret buzz again. Mike is very friendly and informative, but I think due to the high volume of work, the tune up was rushed. Maybe another guitar tech is needed to help with the work load.

Decent store for the area. The interior is really nice and is essentially a smaller version of what you would find in Sacramento. They have a pretty good selection of software for home recording and general accessories Unfortunately, the majority of their instrument selection is in the low end (sub $500) range. The staff range from surprisingly knowledgeable to absolutely clueless (just depends on who you get). I didnt find them as helpful as the local music stores, but they werent terrible, either. A solid C or C+.

Staff here are energized, friendly and knowledgeable. Its a quiet yet upbeat atmosphere. Would recommend.

I dont really come in here much but today I came with my boyfriend. Unfortunately, I had (and still have) a major migraine, so I wasnt able to enjoy the musical experience here. One of the employees, Will, was quick to sympathize with me and offer me some water, which was an amazing gesture.

Go see Mike! All my musician friends recommend him highly. He did some great work on my buddys guitar - fixed a tricky intonation problem - for pretty cheap. Hit him up!

I played four different guitars for a couple hours and the dudes didnt even blink they actually helped me get a strap and a wah pedal to play with, tried out five different amp my favorite of which was the Orange. I love this store. Cant wait to buy a guitar from them.

Its a great shop, undoubtedly the best music store in the area. Go ahead and try out any instrument youre interested in. One of my favorite spots.

I love Guitar Center. I wish they had more synthesizer keyboards. Because thats mostly what I play. But they do have quite a selection of electronic pianos and guitars. Staff there is always super helpful.

For my first time shopping at this Guitar Center, I had a killer experience. All my questions were thoroughly answered, and I got everything I needed. The manager was super awesome in fixing a pricing problem when the item I grabbed had the wrong price tag next to it. I will definitely be going back.

Id recommend a little guitar store before this place, a lot of the guitars were untuned and the associate I talked to didnt really have much knowledge about guitars. Just tried to sell me one really badly, I went to a different store and purchased one from someone who knew precisely what I was looking for along with the style i play!

Brooke and Sarah are nice and helpful. I got a great deal on a ukulele, and am signed up for lessons. Brooke tuned it for me before I left the store as I am a newbie, which I felt was above and beyond.

Those dudes are always really relaxed and chill and let me just come in and jam for 15-20 sometimes 30 minutes and then the politely asked me if I need any help or have any questions rad rad rad I love going to Guitar center!!!

This is for Barnes and Noble in Chico Ca. Their hospitality has gone downhill a lot. You get harassed if you use the toilet longer than ten minutes. They took out all of their outlets in the cafe so that you can no longer charge your laptop or phone while you are reading. And if they see you reading a book longer than an hour, then they ask you to leave even if you just purchased the book from them.

Great experience. I had Mike in repairs install a LR Baggs Anthem SL in my new Martin 000-15 M as well as a strap button. He went above and beyond! I dont live close so he was able to do it in a couple of hours. He also set up the guitars action to make it play even nicer. This is an amazing guitar now made even more amazing by this guitar tech. Top notch work!

My daughter is currently taking lessons there and they have misscheduled her 4 times. They have lost too many instructors and cant handle the schedules or pick up the slack on the lessons. Not enough instructors for the students they have right now. Pretty upsetting, debating to pull her out.

The Chico Guitar Center is almost a joke. Very small selection, very small store, no real drum sets set up to test. Employees constantly pester you while browsing, they wont just let you look around, they have to try to push you to buy things.Compared to the local music shops, this Guitar Center falls short. Id much rather drive to Herreids or Music Connection for a more personal experience.

Bought my daughter a guitar for Christmas and most of the sales people walked right by me except a older gentlemen and I wanted a flashy guitar and he gave me a lesson on which is the best way too spend my money. I have to say if it wasnt for one excellant salesman I would of made a hige mistake. So far my daughter loves her gift so Thank you.

The employees were not very nice. I couldnt walk through the store without getting looked at and watched like I was going to steal something. I will no longer support this business. I have spent well over $3k here and Im surprised Im being treated like this.

As a podcaster, my needs are a bit different than the average patron, but they are always able to help me! There is really no better place to hang out and shop for audio gear than this place!

They MUST be unorganized because they made us wait an HOUR looking for a keyboard they swore was in the back...wasnt. 5% off floor model w no box, instructions, power cord. Bite me corporate sheep. Come back tommorow we should have it. Nope. Just more unorganized searching. Murica
