I needed a smog certificate to renew my license. They had a great reputation. My neighbor also recommended them. I made a telephone appointment, and although it was busy I got in and out in a reasonable time.

They are always busy on a daily basis and I had no appointment and needed my car smoged and only had a hour to get it snogged and go to my radiation treatment before 1:00pm I was in and out of there within 40 min and able to make my other appointments I highly recommend there services there quick and very friendly

Great place and incredibly fast!! i just walked in with no prior notice...there were two people there having work done and they took my car and smogged it!! i was in the office waiting maybe 15 minutes!! And the receptionist so very friendly!! Family run business... and good people in my opinion.

Needed a smog check in a hurry, they gave me an appt. Time that same day.... I had been there 2 yrs. earlier but forgot their exact location... so, called them and got turned around.... got there 10 minutes late, yet, they honored the orig. timeslot and took my car, next in line... ahead of a walk- in customer.They are courteous and efficient.... and price (with smog cert.)out the door; $50.00 even!A deal, to be sure!

Nice people. I set an appointment and when I got there, I pretty much got right in.

I went there in June to have my car smog checked and they said I have to drive about 50 miles because the computer system is not registering on the car due to the new battery I installed earlier. He asked for the payment for a smog check even though he did not perform one. So I payed the full amount minus the certification. I work out of town and find it hard to make it to Chico. I came back two months later to have followed up for a smog check. He the owner told me that I have to pay another full amount for a smog check. He never did a smog check for the first time so he is charging 2 smog checks for the price of one. I would not recommend this smog shop to anyone who needs a smog check on their car. I will never go back there again.

Friendly, courteous, and efficient. Everything a smog place should be, but rarely is. I had no problem as an 8am walk in, but appointments are recommended.

They are fast even when busy. Sometimes the parking lot is full like today but they still get the smog done in about 30 minutes or less. If you come early youll be out the door in 10-15 minutes no problem.Skip the other smog places. Ive found the other places around town charge more, are less friendly, and take a lot longer to get your smog complete.

I have been here in the past, and the service was speedy, accurate, and helpful that they send directly to DMV. But i had to go today again and they told me it would be 1 hour and they would call me when it was ready. Well, an hour went by and i got back there. They notified me they were unable to do the smog. But did not call me.. i had my 3 children and my niece with me and we were walking around waiting for it to be done. They did not charge me, which they shouldnt have anyways. But i was very disappointed that i did not receive a phone call regarding them unable to complete smog.

I used this smog shop awhile ago and it was awesome. Went there for a different smog today at 8 am and the guy there would rather blow leaves than help me. I sat for ten minutes and he would not stop blowing leaves to help me so I went to another smog shop who had me handled in minutes. It is Affordable if you know what I mean, because I would rather go there

Really Helpful and Honest workers, and they are open on saturdays. Ive takin a couple vehicles in, both which did not pass unfortunately but they where on point and told me what needed to be done to pass. Plus you get 30 days from the first inspection to bring it back in so you dont get charged another inspection fee. Great Service!!!

They work quick and are very friendly. Mine was a quick in and out, 35 minutes from when I walked in the door with no appointment. An older gentleman before me did not pass and they talked him through the problems and what he needed to do to fix it.

Search on Google maps found this shop. So far so good.As of 1346hrs 6-6-19. Left the shop, very Courteous. Fast in and out like 18 minutes

Just moved up from The Bay, Berkeley. Anywhere in the Berkeley Ive taken my car to be smogged was $70 or more. Smog Inspector charged me less than $50! I highly recommend this place. Not only are they reasonable in price they are quick and courteous.

Based on the reviews I dropped in for a smog check. I was pleasantly greeted by the owner Lupe who promised to do his best. Which he did. In a very short 15 minutes. He also looked at a few things under the hood for me and gave me an estimate for changing spark plugs, filters- a quick basic tune up. He explained in detail and in a way I could understand why some things were happening and even tho I just had the oil changed he checked the levels while he talked. His labor cost is more than fair, much less than Im used to. The total was less than $45. I will be back for the other work. Thank you reviewers!

Went to Affordable Auto at 1:30 for a smog. Its first come first serve, no appointments. Said they wouldnt be able to get to it until 5.... So went up the road to here and was greeted by an enthusiastic Ivan. Pleasant, fast 20 min, and great price. Will be coming here every 2 years for as long as I live in Butte County.Update: Came here with a 94 Cherokee that had been crashed and sat for years. I got it up and running and came in for a smog. Ivan said it failed evap test due to dry rotted fuel neck hose and whatnot. He said he quit the test so he didnt have to charge me. Another great experience here. I had the hoses replaced, came back and passed.
