Her experience ( sp + meat balls)It’s good but honestly you can make it yourself,Regular spaghetti, nothing specialHim - I got the signature dish,Honestly the first few bites were good, but they do give you alot, I almost rather have half the dish and 1/3 off the price,Drinks on a Thursday are 5$, not byobMaybe we picked the wrong 2 dishes. But I liked it, it’s worth another try with another 2 dishes,
This place is fire. Ive been here 3 times and have been wowed each time. Food is excellent and the service is A+. I could eat here at least twice a week and I dont say that about very many places. Well done.
Pretty good pasta at reasonable prices. Service was good. Nice family friendly spot.
This place is amazing, their food is mouth watering. I should say this place deserve more than 5 stars. Their desserts looks so tasty like their food. Please come to this wonderful place. Everyone is so nice. I love it here.
This is not Italian pasta. Super bland food. this is OK for a quick bite I guess, but if you’re wanting authentic Italian, I’d go elsewhere.
Food is always amazing, the Gnocchi Rosemary Gorgonzola is to die for! Great customer service too, food is always ready on arrival and hot!
If your hungry and want delicious pasta, this is the place. You lots of food for the price. Place is very busy, but very organized.
I was very happy with this spot, it gives you exactly what it promises. The Pasta Bowl looks and feels like a non-pretentious pasta eatery several steps above Noodles & Co., but not quite Mia Francesca. It’s kitschy and easy and has a great menu that offers pasta dishes right up front with various apps and paninis on page 2. A simple wine, beer and cocktail list follows. It’s exactly what I wanted on a Thursday night after work and gym, meeting a friend from the hood to sit outside and be well fed.We started with a Chianti and a Cab and were very happy with our choices. From there the cranberry and gorgonzola salad was a refreshing and crunchy entree to our main courses. We asked for the waiter’s recommendations and he was very enthusiastic and genuine without simply jumping to the most expensive or featured items. I had the Capellini Pomodoro with sausage and my friend had Penne Putanesca with chicken. The servings were huge American/family sized bowls covered in shredded parmesan and steaming with flavor. We were both very satisfied and have leftovers for days.Don’t expect fine dining - it’s simple, big, casual and tasty. It was a little pricy for what we got but not unreasonable overall considering we had three plates and three glasses of wine. This is definitely going to be one of my new go-tos in the neighborhood.
This cozy restaurant has a red old-fashioned phone in it that WORKS!! The Presidential line at your service! The menu is mainly pasta that are serves in huge portions! The very friendly staff make sure you leave with positive feelings from the restaurant. Streek parking is available across the street. If you sit by the windos you can enjoy the snowflakes that shine under the street lamps. We had fetuccini alfredo, kids meal, choclate lava cake and a house speciality that I cannot remember the name of.Nothing but good memories 😁😍
The pasta I ordered was WICKED good. You could tell the ingredients were fresh!! Would highly recommend if you love pasta. I have never written a review before, but I felt it was so necessary.
The food here is fantastic. We had a great meal 🥰
Food was amazing, and portions are big! Im a big guy and I like big portions, lol, they dont skimp on the servings.
I ordered my food and picked up according to when they told me I can pick up which is in 25 mins. My food was cold and I paid extra for extra broccoli and shrimp but I received less pasta than what I got yesterday. Basically same amt of food with a bit more shrimp but paid more $. Today was disappointing 😞 and the lady who took my order was not nice!
I came here with my family, most of us enjoyed it and some of us didn’t. I had come here multiple times before and I enjoyed my meal! It’s very family friendly, the staff is very nice and it’s a great location
Tasted great, good value. Will definitely come back in the future! Server was good too!
The lobster ravioli was awesome. First time I ever had a bitter dragon, new drink choice. All of the other food was great as well. Our server Margaret was so nice l. Will come again.
Omg best spaghetti and meatballs ive had in years so favorable the sauce, cheese and ingredients in chicago, fresh hot and fast delivery cant wait to order again only downside was no garlic bread on the side just regualr french bread
Great food and service. Good kids menu as well.
Usually it’s good but the past 2 times especially the last the pasta lacked flavor big time. Alfredo sauce from a jar has more flavor than the food I was just delivered.
Seriously the best spaghetti and meatballs Ive ever had. the meatballs are pure perfection, theyre nice and soft (well cooked) and juicy, and theyre rly flavorful.
Been going since 98. Classic place.
[COVID takeout review]Overall: Great pasta for a great price! The good: Plenty of various pasta dishes to choose from, regardless of whether youre a vegetarian or not. The portions are hearty and youre bound to have leftovers, which is never a bad thing. The pasta itself is cooked well and the sauces are always top-notch. Food stayed hot and tasted great! And, last but not least, the prices are reasonable compared to other italian spots. The not-so-good: As many other reviews have stated, the plates can be rather oily. We didnt notice it initially, but after reheating our leftovers there were pools of oil on the plate. The bread that comes with the meals isnt amazing, but hey its still free bread.
Absolutely love their signature pasta, it has all the ingredients I ever want when I’m craving a good ol’ plate of pasta!
Service excellent... establishment clean and following CDC guidelines... FOOD DELICIOUS!!!! Will go back...
Your drivers are a bit excited to get to their destinations. Great for the customer, not so great for myself walking and almost getting hit.
The fettuccine Alfredo is the BEST fettuccine Alfredo I’ve had by far. LOVE this place!!
I’d easily leave 4.5 stars for the food, it never disappoints, but their drivers can’t seem to follow basic requests like “Do not leave food unattended.”
Huge portions, wonderful red sauce, excellent salads. Love it.
Horrible Company that mistreats and abuses their employees. Food is subpar at best. We will never support this business again.
Always consistently great! Order from them directly for delivery. They are always on time with delivery.
You seriously cant go wrong with this location if youre looking for pasta in Lincoln Square or Ravenswood. Very solid all around.
So we always order from here. Today my guy tried the lobster ravioli. It smelled like it was rotten. So I got off a 12 hour shift and decided to order dinner for 2. Everything was good except the lobster ravioli. You could legitimately smell it before the bag was open... Really disappointing. I would say anything but that on the menu is great.
Kudos to their delivery driver! Food came faster than expected and was still piping hot. Ill definitely be ordering again the next time I want good comfort food.
We met with friends at this place for a meeting. my friend recommended this restaurant. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members were very polite and we had an excellent feeling. The food was just great. We loved this place a lot and we will visit this place again. we highly recommend this place.
Good food and great service
I decided to visit this place today for the first time. It was just before 9:20 pm when I walked in. The place advertises it closes at 10pm. I asked if they were still seating guests and the host effectively scowled we close at 10 pm! To which I asked ok. Well Id like to sit, is that weird. No you can sit inside, you can sit wherever you want. I wanted to sit outside so I asked can I sit outside? You can sit anywhere you want, but we close at 10. OK, youre too rushed about 10 oclock. Ill come back another time.
First time going there! My daughter usually orders and bring it home. Today we picked up together and she suggested I come in to see how cozy it is. Totally shocked! So warm and welcoming! I will definitely be spreading the word. This experience within the couple of minutes we were there was awesome 👏
Super duper friendly staff and amazing food. I got a chicken alfredo and spaghetti and meat ball and they both came out amazing. There was a hostess (I didnt get her name but she worked there at 3pm on 1/27) was awesome. Like I said, incredibly nice staff and delicious food.
Pasta Bowl, as a franchise, has delicious food choices. My friends and I wanted to go on Valentines, so we called ahead to see if they accepted reservations. They advised they did not take them, but recommended a time period where their rush might be over. What we werent aware of, is that even though they werent taking reservations, they had a Valentines Day deal. $75 for two, including a starter, main course, dessert and a bottle of wine that retails for $50 by itself. The wait time, because of this, was quite long and the wait staff/cooks were a bit overwhelmed, which was not their fault. We got a complimentary dessert because of it, even though we hadnt said a word. I feel if a promo like that is going to be something they implement for holidays/special occasions, perhaps reservations might be good to use in tandem.
Great pasta in a great place!
My wife and I have been going to eat here for several years and every time we are in the area we eat their Farfalle pasta dish. Always loved it, but today was very different. Our dishes were full of oil I mean dripping with oil. We tilted our plates to get a better idea and this is what we saw. I’m saddened to say they have ruined a good dish. Not sure if we will ever eat there again. I’ve added a few photos as proof.
Despite having thousands of orders they incredibly most of the time manage to deliver their food in the exact time stipulated by the app, at peak times and needed more Staff. To be able to maintain this level of excellence, BEST PASTE IN Chicago without a doubt.
Best pasta and sauce I had in a restaurant. Prices were very affordable and a good selection. Wait staff very kind and concerned about all of your needs. Definitely a great find.
Their hours are wrong, even after more than six months of Coronavirus. The service, when I received any, couldn’t be worse. Don’t waste your time here.
This most recent location for the local chain is exactly what youd expect; huge portions of Italian-American comfort food done well if not amazingly. On the 3 occasions Ive been our service has been prompt and even downright bubbly! There are many features drink specials throughout the week despite the limited bar.Although I understand its a family spot, the sheer number of TVs, playing all manner of randomness, isnt my favorite while eating. Otherwise pretty good and definitely scratches an itch.
I always liked Pasta Bowl but I feel like they’ve upped their game lately. Great local chain in Chicago.
Pasta on point! Lots of flavor, lots of pasta. Servings so big, you can share and still have enough to take home. Great service, Danni is awesome. Sat outside on a nice day, but the dinning room is cute and cozy in the fall.
The Puttenesca was bland Flavors are aimed for the 3-7 year old pallet. Decent wine list for the parents. The least they could offer at the price point is fresh grated cheese and some decent bread. They dont.
I wish I could give them 6 stars. Excellent service, food, staff... If you want pasta with a good taste this is a must go to place. Been going to this place for a couple of years and they never disappoint me.
One of my favorite places to grab pasta in the city. The Lobster Ravioli is so delicious. Affordable prices and good vibes. There is a lot to love on their menu.
EXCELLENT food & service. Drinks too. Try thr Moscow Mud
Great portions, excellent food and reasonable prices.
Was really disappointed with our recent visit. Service was incredibly slow. They seemed to have trouble seating people (no tables available), but tables couldnt leave because it took forever to get the check and pay (not to mention order in the first place).
I ordered a carry out order from the wrong location. The two ladies behind the counter were quick to make me feel comfortable about the mistake. They quickly put in the same order for me and also called the other location to cancel. What great service!! One girl was Asian and other had natural red hair. For that type of service I will definitely be stopping by again and thank you.
Good drinks and pasta!!!
Don’t bother coming here. The staff is super rude and the food wasn’t even that great.
The chicken fettuccine was good. I think for me it was a little more cheesy than I expected but otherwise they made it spicy for me which was great!
Its a family style restaurant. Wa its name implies, they serve pasta in many different style and sauces. Its a relatively inexpensive restaurant. They do serve alcoholic beverages. Wine and mixed drinks. Theres no parking so you must find parking on the street. Metered parking.
Loved the food, everything was great an service was nice. Great atmosphere, an nice size portions. The plates could possibly be split if your not a big eater
For delivery waited 45 minutes before got food.
Some of the most delicious pasta Ive ever had!
Have always loved the other Pasta Bowls, but dont plan to return to this location after 2 frustrating experiences...there are too many other great options in the city.First time in, I was disappointed on how long our appetizer took to come out...but then that it was completely cold. Of course that wasnt enough to not return, but on my most recent trip our server never even brought out our appetizer and then was actually very rude when we politely asked about it. Everyone can forget, so that was not the most frustrating part. She offered no apology and took no responsibility, acting as if we completely lied about ever ordering it.
Amazing took my daughter here she loved it
Very quaint place, quiet good and service was great! We got a lot of food too!
I was excited to try an Italian place in our neighborhood but it was worse than Olive garden I will say its very very very child friendly the night we came in for a kid free date night there was about 10 kids running around while the moms enjoyed some wine and conversation after what Im assuming was a sports game at Welles. So if your looking for a child friendly space with child friendly food this is a good spot....not so much for a date night.
The spaghetti and meatballs and the fettuccine Alfredo were THE BOMB! Def recommend this place and will be returning for sure! The space is nice clean and service was excellent :)
Restaurant just opened -- wife and I went to try it out. We both loved our pasta! They let you customize it if you want. Cheese bread appetizer was awesome too! Our server Margaret was fantastic!
Nice cozy place and the food is delicious. They greet you even you enter the restaurant and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
A great selection of pasta dishes, daily drink specials, friendly, attentive service, and one of THE BEST curated music playlists EVER made tonights visit outstanding. Also, open on a Monday? Top notch.
Love this place. The service and food are always great, it’s been a great addition to the neighborhood!
Love the Rosemary Gnocchi and their cocktails are delicious. Nick was servingg us and was super polite and friendly. Definitely coming back again!
The food here is consistently delicious and the staff is excellent.
Love the style of this little restaurant! The food and service are excellent!
This place is cozy. The food is amazing and the portions are huge. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Generous portions, rich ana balanced dishes. Casual and cozy atmosphereHighly recommend
Good food, good price, fast food service.
I came here often cause it’s near my house but the only problem they have is about the customer service as well as the time to process the food. For the last 3 times, the estimated waiting time for the food was 35-45 minutes for the pasta.
Best comfort food for $ if youre a pasta lover
They have amazing food. Had bruschetta n it was the bomb. Got the raviolis, no words. Farfalle is out of this world!! Good place prices not bad. Give it a try
I love pasta bowl the dishes are so rich and FYI most of the times you can share
One of the best pasta places Ive tried in Chicago. Great calamari, perfect seafood pasta.
Thef ood was excellent 👌, large portions, the food came out hot,the staff and service was really great
Compare this to Pasta DArte Trattoria Italiana and Pasta Bowl comes off as a joke. Noodles and Company does a better job and its... Noodles and Company!I gave this place two tries and the food is so bland and poorly prepared.
Molly was our server she was awesome we had the garlic cheese bread mozzarella cheese sticks 2 kids spaghetti n meat balls n last the penne puttanesca everything came at quick and tasted delicious .
Nice people and nice food
Amazing pasta!! Would recommend
Great food but took a while to get served.
Got sick after eating here. Be careful and make sure what you order comes fresh. Mine was definitely reheated coz it came few mins after I ordered it and I got sick next day.
Mediocre service, average tasting food. Not bad. Not great. Just ok. Wouldnt run back.
