Not worth it for the price! Buyer beware. Joybird offers great design with that modern appeal, but their product has no integrity. They are charging high end furniture prices for back door warehouse product. In college, Ive had $300 sofas what hold up better than this. I have had my couch for less than 6 months and has lost a ton of shape, and with minimal use has shown tons of ware on the bottom cushions. Would not recommend!

UPDATE: In a hilarious turn of events, the day after I wrote this 2-star review, my delivery date got pushed back by another week. Im reducing my rating to one star.I ordered The Roddy sofa in February 2021. It arrived in July 2021. COVID was blamed...fine. when the couch arrived, the leg was broken and it made a horrible creaking noise whenever someone sat on it. But worse was that the sofa was as hard as a rock. Literally. It hurt my back to sit on it. I called customer service, and they said everyone likes a different firmness. I dont know who likes to sit on a rock, but whatever. So I returned it and got a new sofa. This time they promised their supply chain was no longer delayed, and it would only take 6-8 weeks. That order was placed on August 1, and its now been delayed twice. Im supposed to get it in early November, but Im not holding my breath. When I contact customer service, they simply reword the facts that I wrote in my email or are already readily available on the website, like its a middle school writing assignment. Your sofa is delayed. It is in transit to the regional distribution center...blah blah blah. Not even remotely apologetic or helpful. Fingers crossed this second sofa is even vaguely comfortable because I cant go through another round with them. AVOID JOYBIRD!

Retracted & updated: After my recent experience with Matt & Ulysses, I have no choice but to offer 5 stars for Joybird. Matt reached out to me after my first visit and was very receptive to feedback & wanting to earn me as a customer AND provide a better experience. I didnt complain to get anything out of it, but my proper experience has been exceptional. I love the customization options, I was encouraged to find what is right for me with no heavy sales pitch. It was extremely pleasurable. And I cant wait to receive my 3 new pieces. Based on this, I will NOT be moving on. Thank you Matt & Ulysses... Joybird should be grateful to have you on board....(OLD) Very busy, no one to talk to, no style names on the furniture, had no idea what I was looking at, nothing I actually wanted was on display (I think)... Would get 1 star, but I at least got to feel the fabric Im interested in... Was. Based on this Ill be moving on.

We purchased Joybird because we loved the look of their couches but it was also because of their guarantee which is a foundational value they promote across their website: “we deliver what we promise - Its kind of our thing”. Its comical looking back on this now because it couldn’t be further from the truth.**I strongly urge any prospective buyers to look at reviews on Yelp and Reseller-rating before you purchase a couch from Joybird. (Trust me there are 500+ reviews from other customers who have had similar issues and give this company a 1 start and would give a lower if they could)**After waiting 2 months for our couch and having our delivery date constantly being pushed back we were so excited that our Holt Sectional was set to be delivered this past Monday from Joybird.Upon Arrival of our couch that excitement quickly went away when we noticed several glaring issues with our couch.1: Sent Mismatched Layout Couch: We had picked a left layout couch and when it arrived the chaise was left layout but the sectional piece was right meaning that the 2 don’t connect and are for different couches2: the chaise piece base was cracked and splitting so when it was put on our hard wood floors it scratched the surface3: The chaise and section stitching were already coming undoneTo say we were disappointed would be an understatement, but this is only where the fun begins because now we get to deal with their horrendous customer support.We tried reaching out to the customer support team and after waiting on the line for 2+ hours we were finally able to get through only for them to tell us their warranty department handles those situations and we would have to submit a form and wait 4-7 business days for a response.After spending nearly 4K on a couch, you would expect to not have to wait a week to simply speak to someone or get an update on how this will be resolved. Luckily for us they finally reached out after 4 days only to tell us that they need to do a dock check to see if they can locate the correct piece of our couch…..estimated time 2 weeks for check and then IF they find it another 4-6 weeks for deliveryThey have also stated that they will send out a certified furniture technician to fix our chaise base and stitching, estimated wait time (2-4) weeks.We are only 4 days into owning this couch and it looks like it’ll be another 2 months before we might actually get the correct order.Overall: Product is mediocre there are a lot better couches for less than $4k that also care about their customers and offer quality customer service. Save yourself the time, hassle, and stress of doing business with this company and go elsewhere.

Paid for four dinning chairs (to make a set)... only received three. Customer service has been investigating for a month. Refused to send me my missing chair or refund me. VERY DISSAPOINTING. I would never recommend ordering from them. Their Instagram is cute, so wanted to give them a try. Will not make that mistake again. Bake to crate and Barrel or Restoration Hardware it is. Would rather pay the same or more for decent customer service and reliability.

We had a good experience at the showroom. The staff was tolerant of our wacky toddlers as we tried to get 15 minutes of calm to make just one decision--thank you! They made us feel comfortable and welcome. They answered every question and even extended a discount for us when we delayed in deciding. What we received was exactly what we experienced in the showroom. I just wish there had been more furniture pieces on display and more of the fabrics, not just the ones on trend.

I ordered the Ackley Dresser. On the day of my scheduled delivery, the warehouse called and said the piece was damaged and they were going to order a new one for me. When that one was delivered, it was also damaged. I opted to cancel the order and get a refund. Customer service was a nightmare throughout (i.e. no one would answer the phone, responses took days and multiple follow ups). After this experience I also found a number of other really awful reviews online about product quality, customer service, etc. I wish Id done better research before placing my order.

-April 20 - Placed order for an Anton U-bumper sectional (3 pieces)-May 28 (post-delivery day 0) - White glove furniture delivery. Delivery team indicated that one of the connector brackets is missing and wed be contacted shortly to schedule someone to come install it.-June 5 (post-delivery day 8) - Emailed to ask about bracket-June 7 (post-delivery day 10) - Email response indicating an order for the replacement part was made-June 15 (post-delivery day 18) - Emailed again asking about bracket-June 18 (post-delivery day 21) - Email response indicating the replacement bracket would go out by June 19-June 30 (post-delivery day 33) - Parts never came. I called many times and could never get through. Finally, I left a VM for a return call.-June 30 (post-delivery day 33) - Brackets finally arrived later that day, but without installation instructions. I tried to install them, but I was unsuccessful since I couldnt get the screws to catch the receiving part inside the sectional.-July 1 (post-delivery day 34) - I received a return phone call. I was told that someone from the warranty claims department would contact me to set up a furniture medic to install the bracket pieces.-July 27 (post-delivery day 60) - Furniture repairman came. He said that the provided screws were not long enough. He also corrected the other side, which he said was installed incorrectly. In the end, the sectional is finally complete 60 days after delivery.As you can imagine, this experience was unfortunate and extremely frustrating. Not only did I waste immeasurable time calling and emailing, but I was aggravated and confused the entire time. Also, for two months, I had a broken piece of furniture that cost me $5000. I had seen many poor reviews on Joybird prior to purchase. I should have heeded their warnings...

Do not purchase from joybird online. They are deceptive and have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The furniture is overpriced and they do not deliver on time nor will not work with their customers. Once they have your money, good luck talking to a person or getting an email response.Avoid at all cost.

Matthew helped me switch the fabric choice I made online for the sofa I purchased. Note: the fabric colors on the website appear quite different in person. If you have the ability to go to a showroom or be sent fabric swatches, I strongly suggest it! With this change came an extended delivery window, which I wasnt initially comfortable with since I was about to move across the country and with no furniture, so Matthew laid out multiple options, including canceling the order. Ultimately, I decided to keep the order open and Matthew kept me updated on the status of fabrication, shipping, and delivery at least once a week until the (literal) hour that the sofa was delivered. Not only that, he was able to bump up the delivery date by quite a bit, which was truly wonderful and much appreciated. Overall, Im extremely happy with the sofa itself and the service Matthew provided. I strongly recommend Joybird and this showroom specifically.

Anna helped me select matching Chelsea sofas and the companion bench for our new home. She has a great design eye and patiently showed all the fabric swatches so I could select the most interesting color combination. Matthew even stopped by to offer his opinions. I had a great experience at Joybird Chicago and strongly recommend it when shopping for a furniture upgrade. The furniture is high quality, modern, and creative.

Awful customer service and and a confused, bugled operation.We bought a couch from them in April. It was supposed to be delivered in June, when it showed up it was broken. It took us three week to get an answer from Joybird about what was going on with the couch and if/when it would be fixed. Three week of call customer support and getting no answer. Three weeks of email and getting no help. Three week of calling the store and not getting anything. At one point, they tried to get us to take delivery of the broken couch.Finally, my girlfriend left a bad review on Google and they called us back the next day.They attempted to deliver the completed couch today and wouldnt you know it- only half a couch showed up. No answer when I called customer support or the store either. We how have half a couch sitting in out living room for the foreseeable future.If youre going to buy and expensive couch, Id go else where.

Matt took the time to take us through the process, go through all the colors and options before we made a decision. What a fantastic experience! Stopped in for a quick test drive of a couch wed been eyeing on line... and left with so much more. Everyone at this showroom was kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Matthew, in particular, was above and beyond accommodating. Highly recommend stopping in!

Matthew was fantastic. My wife came in there by herself because I was too busy with work and she managed to pick out a perfect sectional that is comfortable, soft and luxurious. Prices are on the higher end but the product is exceptional which is why they can demand such pricing. I highly recommend joybird for comfort and luxury.

Update round 2:After months of waiting- we still do not have our couch. Today we scheduled delivery again, and only received half a couch. the Joybird support line prompts you to leave a voicemail that never gets a return call. After white glove service while we were mad the reps from the store and corporate that we were working for are seemingly off the case. maybe were a one time issue based on these reviews. but, i will not be ordering from joybird again.UPDATE:Matthew reached out to me after posting this review and has gone above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and our problem was resolved. Huge thank you to him and the Joybird team!My partner and I ordered a couch on March 30th of this year and were quoted a turn around time of 4 months. Totally fine- we were delighted when we got the shipment notification on May 20th and arranged for the delivery to take place on May 27th. When the couch arrived it was damaged in transport and the delivery crew did not even take it off the truck. After reaching out to Joybird corporate, and this showroom I have been offered no resolution for what comes next. I have spoken to two different team members and was promised a call back I never received. The delivery men said this is common with Joybird as they dont unpack the boxes before they make it on the truck to home delivery.

Im super happy! Matthew was great - he was super knowledgable about the different pieces and helped me navigate all the different options and hone in on the most important decisions that we needed to make. We have young kids so its hard for my wife and I to shop for this type of stuff. Matthew worked with us to schedule a time that my wife could stop in, review what he and Id talked about and come to final decisions. Overall we had a great experience and are really excited about our new furniture!

We had a great experience selecting a sofa at Joybird. The desginer, Anna, gave us a lot of patience and time as we took a while to make a final selection. She went through the details at each step, from the firmness and support of the sofa to the qualities of every fabric. With a two year old becoming unsettling, the staff was very accommodating.

Saw this company online along with a similar company. Joybird has a variety of styles that really caught my eye! I loved my in store experience. Allie and the rest of the staff answered every question I had. The showroom is brand new and doesnt have every piece available at this time, luckily the Hughes couch was one of the pieces that I was going there to check out. LOVED IT and placed my order. I also bought a really cool chair, Louie, that I wasnt expecting to purchase....cant wait to receive my pieces!Thank you Joybird! Ill be back!

My husband and I have been toying with the idea of getting a Joybird couch for years and with the recent opening of the Chicago showroom we decided to finally make the trip up from Louisville to check it out!We walked in and were welcomed by Matthew, he was absolutely wonderful and we were so grateful that we was there to help us! After we took our time sitting on everything in the store and making ourselves at home, he sat down with us and helped us match the exact configuration we needed for our space with a couch with exactly the feel we were looking for! He also made sure to take the time to help us with the fabrics and work with us to find a fabric that will hold up for our lifestyle (golden retriever naps & inevitable red wine spills lol.)We are so happy that we made the trip and can’t wait to receive our new couch!! This review is solely in reflection of our experience with Matthew and his team. We ordered a couch through Joybird on their e-commerce site and unfortunately ran into a few issues upon delivery... The corporate team, which we were required to communicate with since it was an e-commerce order, was unfathomably unhelpful and excessively slow to respond/nearly impossible to get a hold of. I wont divulge the details as nobody here (I hope) would have time to read through it all.Upon visiting the local showroom out of sheer desperation for a solution, Matthew did the best he could to take ownership of the issue, albeit it was to no fault of his own. He was immensely helpful, quick to respond, and assured us that hed work hard to find us the solution we were looking for.I imagine if we had waited a couple of weeks for the showroom to open and placed our order through the brick and mortar store, we would have a much different experience. Big kudos to Matthew -- his corporate team should take a few pages out of his book, as his hospitality and customer service is truly top notch.

I’ve had an exceptional experience working with Anna at Joybird in Chicago. She was thorough in showing us the differences in the pieces and fabrics and was very patient with us. She was very upfront about the timeframe for receiving the goods. She has also been very responsive to emails and calls with further questions. This is some of the best customer service I have ever received. Would be nice if the showroom had a bit more examples. Highly recommend!
