This is the raddest music shop around, the customer service and level of expertise are incomparable, definitely the best experience I have ever had at any retailer.

I never write google reviews, but this place is awesome. The guy working there was very informative, and he spent a couple hours showing me how to use several modular devices. They’re not pushy with sales either (which is a relief compared to every other shop I’ve been in). Got a great deal on the items I did purchase. Prices are competitive to the big online dealers, plus you can get a hands on run through of any gear you’re considering. Highly recommended!

Great store for musicians both experienced and just starting. definitely some passionate people staffing the place, and they are cool enough to host some small jam sessions / diy events! check them out if youre in town or just make it your destination

Im from out of town and was blown away by the selection of eurorack modules and synths these guys have. They are very passionate about their work and spent a lot of time talking with me about the different units they had for sale. Unlike bigger box music stores, I was able to talk with someone who was as big of a synth nerd as myself, which was awesome. Ill definitely be back when Im in the city, and would recommend them to anyone interested in electronic music or modular systems.

Nerd Audio is a good spot, especially if youre into modular. The staff is super kind and helpful when you have questions. The only reason I wouldnt rate them higher is their product selection is pretty limited. They deal mostly in Elektron and Roland Boutique, and a good selection of modular. Youll find the occasional vintage synth here but its not consistent. Id love if they had more KORG, Moog, Dreadbox, etc. Otherwise great shop!

If you love synths and drum machines, then this is a great place to go.They are extremely personable, helpful, and passionate about what they sell. They have a great variety of synths and eurorack modules. They share the same space as Midwest which helps if you need DJ or pro-audio gear as well.

Knowledgeable and helpful staff, excellent selection of things if the synthesizer realm. With a focus on Eurorack modular, outboard equipment, and professionally serviced used gear. Everything the Walmart or music isnt; making it a cornerstone of the Chicago synth/audio gear scene.
