Carlos and Crystal are the best. They were very helpful, they spoke loud and clear when giving directions. Carlos had the best smile by far for customer service greeting. He was nice . He deserves a Christmas bonus, and so does Crystal.

There is no way to reach this location by phone even if you have a reservation. The number they publish only goes to Uhaul main corporate call center where hold times exceed 30 minutes. I will never use Uhaul again.

Returned a rental here after dropping off my daughter in her new apartment in downtown Chicago. The on-line drop off utility is really simple. Truck ran great from Cleveland to Chicago... although they should warn you the vehicle is speed limited to 75. On the Turnpike its occasionally desirable to get past trucks with a little more than 75 mph! Or at least know you dont have anything left after 75!!!

The entire experience was very easy and expedient. My friend and I came in for what we needed and were on our way. The customer service associate was very friendly and professional and made the entire time we were there enjoyable.

I had an absolutely awful experience here, from start to finish. Never again.I was happy to see they had outdoor, no contact pickup. When I arrived, the app wouldn’t work, and an employee came out and said I had to come inside. Not ideal, not what I signed up for, but fine.Next, the man behind the counter was talking so quietly I couldn’t hear a word he said. After we checked in, he vaguely pointed towards a couple vans, saying that one was ours. I got in what I thought was my van, to have another employee rudely yell at me for getting in the wrong one, and questioning what I was doing in their van.The icing on the cake was that I was told specifically that they had filled the tank to full, and I had to return it full or else I’d get charged a fee and have to pay their inflated price for gas. This was a small van, not a truck, and I drove it for less than 20 miles. It took SIX GALLONS of gas to get it full. There’s no way it was actually all the way full when I picked it up. I didn’t notice because the gas needle was on “F” when I got it, and after I filled it the needle went way above “F”.All in all, I had to go inside when I’m trying to avoid that if possible, I got whispered at, then yelled at, and then ripped off for $20 of gas. Thanks, U-haul!

Great service here. Ive dropped off a trailer and picked up a van from this location. Good spacing inside, stickers to stand on when waiting in line. Free Wi-Fi, just need to click the connect link in your browser. Friendly staff.

If you like 24hr access, the biggest storage you might get is just 5 x 7 x 8 (w l h) for around $150/mo. Pay just $20 more and you get double the space but no 24hr access.

Great place for all your moving needs. Parking is tuff because you have to drive up and in. There are not a lot of parking spits, maybe two if they are busy. But they have everything you need for moving.

This place is amazing! I may sound like one of those fake reviews but seriously, everything you need to move or store stuff can be found here. Theyve got a crazy assortment of boxes, packing supplies and rental trucks if youre moving, or on site storage for your stuff. The staff is super helpful and made our packing experience much easier. If you need moving supplies, or a rental truck, check this place out.

The customer service was friendly, expedient, and thorough. It took less than ten minutes to be processed during check in - and under three minutes when I dropped the truck off. This was my first time renting a truck - and I had such a pleasant experience. Excellent!

I was pretty shocked by the bad reviews. I had an amazing experience from the first phone call to reserve, all the way to the return. The van was perfect and drove well. Larry was so helpful and friendly-he checked me in and helped me avoid waiting in line. Awesome experience and I would definitely use them again!

Great friendly staff. We reserved an incorrect unit and got there just before closing, but the representative as helpful & underatnding. Got us the correct sized unit and even helped us move our stuff to the storage unit.

We did the pick-it-up on the app for an hourly van. The can ran fine and everyone working was nice. The only weird part is that we still had to go inside to get the van. The outside of it was also dirty.

NO GOOD!I called before I went to pick up a truck asking if I could park my personal vehicle at their location while I do the move. They said yes they could accommodate that. I arrive there and when I get there they said I could NOT park my vehicle. I informed them of the discrepancy between what they told me on the phone and in person, and then politely agreed to street parking.Problem is - street parking is only good for two hours. So halfway between the move I had to drive back to this location to move my car, which put more miles on the van than intended. I informed the manager that I should not be required to pay for the additional miles since his employee gave me wrong information, which is why I had to put extra miles on the van. He refused to refund the cost of additional miles and even told me I should have done a better job planning the move.I was furious at not only the incompetency of his employees, but also the rudeness of the managers behavior, as if it was I who made the mistake.AVOID! Go to different location.

I have used this location 4 times and would honestly recommend to anyone. Its a well-run operation, trucks/vans are in great shape, and the service is exceptional. The employees at service desk and lot have always been extremely helpful and professional. It is a great value if you follow their guidelines....From the other reviews on this (probably early 20-somethings), make your reservations on-line (vs phone) and show up early AM (weekends are their busy time, obviously).I couldnt disagree more with any of the low reviews.Steve Teegarden

Open later than normal, have lots of storage (granted some is small and no lights etc. But over all usually are helpful, have a lot of vehicle and equipment t and overall pretty good experie ce every time I move.

Horrible. Takes way too long to get someone on the phone to help. I was hung up on twice the second I connected with someone. Made reservations a month ago to rent a truck for Sunday morning. They called me 3 days before saying the soonest they could get me the truck is 4:30pm. This isn’t possible with my scheduled move out time. Do not book with UHaul. They are not transparent about their availability even one month in advance.

I have used this U-haul 3x in the past year. I have never had any billing issues or troubles. The staff is friendly and the wait to pick up your rental is never more than 15 minutes. I love that you can return your vehicle after hours by parking it in the lot and leaving your key in the drop box! Overall, I recommend this U-Haul, its a great choice when moving within the northside!

This U-Haul location is always quick and friendly. They do a great job. If youre new to U-Haul, dont be fooled by the $20 truck rental ads, its always 3-5 times that amount when all is said and done! But easy to rent and return when you need a moving van or truck!

Cheap quality for the area, good selection. Been here to rent a truck as well as buy bubble wrap. Prices for supplies are a little high but service is nice and friendly. Guy who needed to check my rental truck did it in record time.

Would rather give them no stars. They are so slow and it seems like they never know what theyre doing. All I wanted to do is rent a moving truck the process took forever. Arrived at 4pm didnt get to leave until 6pm then they told us if we werent back by 7am with the truck my moms credit card would be charged. We returned the truck the same night and my mom was still charged. It took forever to straighten that mess out. And when I tried to pay they thought I was paying for a unit. I went through the hassle of trying to rent a truck I cant imagine what it would be like to rent a unit. I rented a storage unit down the street 8 blocks away at The Public Storage. Only took me 15 minutes to do that. Wow.

Had such a terrible experience with this location. Reserved a truck over 6 weeks in advance, show up on the day of only to be told they cancelled my reservation because we dont do 2 day reservations at this location. Manager Rick says to call back around 2 as he has a 20-foot truck coming in then that I could have for 2 day rental (which I thought they dont do at this location?). Call back at 2 but YOU CANT GET THROUGH TO THE STORE. So I just go back in around 3. Manager Rick tells me we cancelled your reservation this morning because you werent here - not true and entirely a different story. Dude just straight up lied to my face. I had to delay my move by over 4 hours and had to pay movers extra as a result. Would never rent here again.

THE WORST. They called the day before we were moving on Sept. 1 (one of the busiest moving days of the year in Chicago) to tell us our truck would be available 7 hours after our reservation, which I had made 6 WEEKS prior. Then, when we asked if there was anything to be done (ANYTHING at all within an hour or two of our initial 9 am res, which wed booked movers and elevators to accommodate), Crystal (who was so impolite) told us I dont know what you should do, all I know is if you show up at 9 am tomorrow we wont have a truck for you. Thanks for your help, NOT!

I drove in from Indiana with 10 minutes until close. They were more than happy to help remove my car from the car transport, disconnect the trailer and assist me with after hours drop off. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant even at the end of their Sunday shift. I would recommend this place over and over which is why I dont understand all of the negative reviews.

Had a bunch of problems with truck on drive from NYC to Chicago. Trying to deal with customer service for corporate Uhaul was a pain. The young guy who checked us in here in Chicago squared us away! Helped out with a lot of issues we were having and recommended a great sandwich place a couple blocks away.

This was the WORST experience I have ever had and I have moved 4 children over the past 15 years to and from college, to and from apartments in Chicago. Not only did they mess up the initial reservation, and the confirmation, and the return, they overcharged me for mileage and days I did not use.DO NOT use this company if you have any hope in receiving even good customer service. I will use Penske or any other company, but NOT this u-haul.

I messed up my reservation and they set me up on the day of my move. Uhal not just this place had their whole system go down that day and everything got messed up but the people here where friendly and helpful despite having a tough day.

I made a reservation 2 months ahead of time for a 7:00am pick up and 14 foot truck. They called the day prior to tell me the best they could do was a 10 foot truck with a pick up time at 12noon. They told me I could drive from Chicago to Schererville, IN if I wanted a 14 foot truck. DO NOT RENT A UHAUL FROM THIS LOCATION IF YOU NEED A SPECIFIC SIZE TRUCK AT A SPECIFIC TIME FOR MOVING!

They did not honor my reservation for the uhaul site, saying they could not allow the truck to be gone for so long (48 hours). The manager said he would speak to his boss to see if he could allow the truck to be rented for that long. But after I checked my reservation status the following morning they had changed my reservation from their store to one that was 40 mins way with out letting me know.I will never be shopping at uhaul again because of their shady business practices and horrible customer service.

Rude, inconvenient, exhausting and downright unprofessional. I would not recommend this U-Haul location for anybody who is looking to rent a truck to move their things. They were very difficult to deal with at this location and when I went to drop off the truck after hours like I was told to there was nowhere to drop the truck off. It turned into a big Fiasco and it was all unnecessary however, a simple gesture acknowledging that the customer had a bad experience with their service and possibly asking how they might be able to make it better in the future would have made a world of difference to me and my Outlook on the company as a whole.

A variety and pretty much all you can think of supplies there. Might be a little pricy based on what and how much you are getting, but totally reduce the hassle of scratching your head to come up with a list of moving supplies you need

The staff are incompetent. We (and at least 10 other people) tried to access our storage units earlier today and were left outside the building in the cold and rain for over an hour, while they tried to find someone who could fix the problem and open the doors!No one among the staff where able to give us a time frame or any form of help. To make it worse, since we dont own a car, we had taken a cab there, which left us with no other option but standing on the sidewalk with our boxes and suitcases, waiting.While waiting, we also tried to get a hold of the manager, who conveniently happened to be completely unreachable. Instead we were left in the mercy of a young woman who didnt know anything, but who just tried to laugh away our questions and concerns with a smirk.Avoid this location at all costs. This way to treat your customers is just not worth it.

Seeing I have this location twice this month, Im glad I waited to do a review.First time, it was a great experience.. Mr. Castro was friendly and helpful, i got in and out without a fail.Now lets talk about the second time. I called the 773 935 number, the site states that it is the number to the location. I was told that I need to make a appointment to be able to tow a car with them, so even tho I work overnight, I had my sister drive her car from norridge to this location, and I met her. The appt. Was set for 1pm. When we arrived we were stopped in the parking, stating that we couldnt park in the lot, when I said we were their for a inspection, they stated that they had no record of it, and I couldnt park there. I told them I had to speak to a manager, and that the inspection needs to happen, two more workers walked up, and still were trying to get me to leave, I started to get mad, they gave in and told me to go inside. When I got inside, I was told by the manager that, the number I called was corporate, that they never told them about the inspection, and that I didnt even need a inspection in advanced in the first place.Soooooooo why was I pretty much bullied in the lot I asked.... she stated she doesnt know what happened, but next time come in and ask instead of calling.Thanks for wasting my time uhaul... gotta love them!

The worst moving/storage place Ive ever used. I refuse to use this franchise again, at least in Chicago. Idiots abound here.After they lost the van I returned and apparently improperly checked it in (and thus out,) they accused me of stealing the van! They called me numerous times (once before 7:30am, a little early if considering normal business hours,), texted me and my secondary contact each 3 times all throughout the day after I returned it. They are currently attempting to make me pay an elevated amount, pay for 100 miles over what I actually drove it, the receipt from check-in (note 23 hours after I turned it in,) has someone elses signature on it. DO NOT TRUST these guys, the employees are some of the rudest, incompetent, ghetto, moronic people Ive ever dealt with. Perhaps they should have reviewed with employees, tapes, computer cross references, etc. before attempting to accuse the customer of taking their van.Additionally I had storage here before, moved to another location before this incident. (They are located close to the train, the only reason I went back to rent a van, easy access to public transportation.) The storage facility is iffy, access is difficult (security access cards do not always work properly,) facility is outdated and dirty, this is of course not to mention the poor service by their employees, noticing a trend? Note to mention the horrific parking situation, since it is in a modified building, the parking is limited to maybe 4-5 cars before you get double parked in (at time triple,) so parking is an absolute nightmare. I currently use Store Your Things on Clark, I pay $3 more/month for a much larger unit that is climate controlled (wasnt before,) has easier access both to the unit and the unit itself (vertical not horizontal equals easier access of stored items without having to literally crawl into your unit, like at U-haul,) better facility and a much friendlier staff.Recommendation to the owner of the Fullerton U-Haul location: FIRE ALL YOUR EMPLOYEES and hire children or monkeys. Im sure theyll do a better job running your facility then your current staff could possibly hope to do.

This was the WORST customer service i have EVER experienced....i got transfered a minimum of 8 times and had to start back at square one EACH time. I worry that these employees have trouble function in the world...... let alone hold a job. a 1 legged SALAMANDER would be more helpful with a move than these IDIOTS. stop hiring from the bottom of the barrel!!! PENSKE GAVE ME 20% OFF because YOU GUYS were soooooooooooo miserable.

A month after renting a truck, returning it a few hours later to nobody, since they were open but nobody would open the locked door, they just took an extra $70 out of my account with no phone calls or email or anything explaining why or trying to get in touch with me. On top of that, I called to get answers and their customer service representative was condescending, yelled at me, told me to shut up, and then hung up on me. I am going to call them again tomorrow and go down there in person if I have to to get my money back. Budget has a new customer, Ill tell you that!

My roommate and I ordered a 17 truck to move a week before the move out. On the day of the move, they canceled our reservation without even contacting us (gave our truck away to someone else), and they did not have any other vehicles available.They said a nearby u-haul had a vehicle available and they would call. We immediately went to that location, and they said they received no call from the other location, and they had no trucks available.Very poor business practices.

Took way too long to pick up a van. I also ordered some things with my reservation, which took another 30 minutes, after I finally got the van.

I came in with basically no idea of what I needed and Rick helped me through the whole process and explained everything to me. My freight is all ready to be shipped.

Truck was ready on time although it needed a bit of cleaning in the cab. Staff was friendly and explained everything very well.

Nothing but good experiences here over the past several years.
