The worker there was very friendly and helpful. I believe his name was David. He knows his job well and take pride in knowing so.

I can speak on my expI can only speak on my experience with this U-Haul in bronzville. CYNTHIA is the manager very nice lady. The other young lady I talked with also very nice. Everybody in the store treat u nice with respect. In todays world u rarely get that out of stores. So nice job guys. I give u all 5 stars!!!!!

At picking up a reserved truck, the lady at the counter kept us waiting and talking with her coworker on irrelevant stuff. Also, she could not figure out how not to charge for rental insurance and told me she will not charge me, but still included it in the emailed receipt. I did not find time to get the overcharge back as you know how busy someone is during a moving.Later on, I called on the phone listed on an email I received from storage and asked whether I should make a reservation of elevator or anything else for moving out, he responded with Did you ever do that? I told him that it seemed that there is an attitude, then he told me that no reservation is necessary.Moreover, UHaul should be more selective on listing Moving Help companies other than a disclaimer.

Pretty good place to grab some moving supplies if you need them.I dont have anything in these facilities but theyre generally decent. I say decent bc- rat traps are in the lockers and bug will get up in your stuff unless its sealed and all that.

Was charged $36 additional for gas 98812/98857 was given a rickety gas guzzler with a 1/4 tank of gas to that barely made to pick up furniture had to put $22 in before could head to storage center. I had a little accident at storage center where I drove inside before door reach the top and door was knocked off track luckily took out insurance that would cover damage. But, I was charged for extra day after was told I would not be, had to keep truck over nite missed dropping off furniture at storage, but truck was returned before noon next day.

Cynthia was great at assisting me. I appreciate all the help and proper procedures on how and when to return the U-Haul vehicle. Will return when I need a rental moving vehicle!!

Trash place!!! Don’t go there guys!!! Save your money to go other place. When I get there, they give me a dirty truck with trash everywhere, I can’t even put stuff in there, and they give me a new truck spent me an hour driving back and forth, and then they charge me $1500 extra without telling me. I Called them and they said I damaged the truck?! First!! I didn’t damage the trash truck! It came with brunches of scratches and dents, Second!! I brought the insurance and they still charge me?! Why would I buy the insurance for?

After a bad experience with Budget truck rental, we reserved a truck from this Uhaul location. Pick up was easy and the woman helping us was very kind and informative. The truck was nearly new and in great condition and we appreciated the clear drop off instructions since we were returning it to a different location. Next time, I will come to Uhaul first and save myself some headache!

Wow. Just WOW! Angelo is the sweetest, most righteous dude ever! I rented a truck and the battery died on the first trip! Made some phone calls and in the end Angelo made everything run smoothly again! He really lives up to his reputation! Hes great! Everyone here is super friendly and efficient! Definitely will return!

Great place for all your moving needs

When I walked into the store for a van pickup there were two employees behind the counter; neither of them looked up from their phones (with headphones in) when I approached the counter. One was very rude when I had questions regarding the self pickup option (such a hassle by the way). The store also smelled lightly of marijuana. I was also charged wrong by the store. My initial rental had .69 cents/ mile but was charged .99 cents/ mile. Tried calling the store but no one answered so had to go through their corporate customer service.

Ah it was okay. Staff isnt to helpful. I prefer some of the other truck rentals in the area.

This place SAVED ME! I booked a truck with Budget. When I went to pick it up, the guy tells me hes rented my truck out and he doesnt have a single truck left to rent. I frantically started calling U-Haul locations and THANKFULLY the folks in Bronzeville had what I needed. By the time I arrived, I had less than three hours left on the slotted timed for the elevator in my building. I was in and out so quickly and Angelo was incredibly accommodating and friendly. I cant say how much I appreciated the customer service after such a terrible ordeal with Budget. I would recommend this U-Haul location over ANY in Chicago. I cant thank them enough!

This location is not like other Uhauls. They go out of their way to make their customers satisfied. In particular, Cindy (one of the managers), was extremely helpful to me during my latest move.I could not be more satisfied, and highly recommend this location for any Chicagoland moves.

No one is wearing a mask. Reservation is +30 mins late. Employee cleaning our truck did it all while not wearing a face mask.

They don’t have customer parking and the nearest street parking needs you to walk 5 mins.

When I arrived on drop off day Angelo noticed me pull in and came right outside to greet me. Asked if I had any issues with the trailer - and I did not. He checked in the trailer, inspected it, unhooked it and I was on my way. Did not even have to get out of my vehicle. Thank you for the quick, easy, and friendly drop off, Angelo!

Friendly, considerate, conversant, good folks here! Angelo, Jackie and all the other folks I came into contact with were professional, thoughtful and kind! Will return in a heartbeat if needed. The equipment was also very decent (I rented a 9 cargo van).

Not bad in the city, only the drive way is little bit narrow for long trucks.

I went in on yesterday the morning staff was very welcoming and concerned about my needs of a truck however when I arrived to drop the truck off at about 530ish the shift changed the staff that was closing need to work on customer service skills as soon as I walk in tge lady said give me your keys go have a sit, I also was over charged when I stated let me get my wallet to pay I came back in the office and she had already charged mu card without my permission.

Use a different UHAUL, this UHAUL has their storage alarm ring CONSISTENTLY throughout the night, it has gotten to the point where if the police are called, they will dismiss it as a technical error! Multiple calls to corporate and to the establishment itself have had no effect at all! Deposit your items at your own risk!

I made an online reservation. A lady by the name of Andrea called to inform me that I’d have to go to a different location as the one I made my reservation with was unable to accommodate it. I found the same was true for the new location, plus now somehow my reservation changed from what I originally booked, after I arrived. The team member offered me $15 for the inconvience. When I arrived at the final location, the lady on the phone told me she’d call me back in $10 with a code to apply for all the hassle. We waited with no call back, the lady in the office told me to let the office know were I drop it off at, they would take care of me and that I could finally get on the road after 1.5 hours from my original reservation time. She also charged me for 40 miles and 24 hours when I only needed 3 hours and 15 miles. When I dropped the uhaul off the location told me to call the lady on the phone who was sending me to all these locations as they can’t help me either. When I called she was no longer there and the gentleman told me he couldn’t help me either. So I follow up today, get transferred to 3 different ladies, one of whom had to set me straight on the how’s of uhaul operations. When I asked for a recording she transferred me to corporate. Still on hold as I am writing this review..... 43 mins and no one can help me. No one knows what’s going on. This sounds like Worst uhaul experience of my life. This location was one of the locations I was sent to that told me they couldn’t help me. Since no one from uhaul can help me, I will be leaving this review st every location I had to go to.

This is the only U-Haul that I use now. Amazing staff, clean location, easy access, and clean trucks. One of the best U-Hauls that I ever used.

The alarm goes off at this Uhaul self storage site several times an hour and at all times of the day. Either the alarm is faulty or thieves are targeting this place. Avoid this place and find somewhere better!

I visited this location twice over a three day period. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about products and options for my packing and storage needs. The store is very conveniently located near the Dan Ryan, Downtown, and several major corridor streets (26th St., State Street,31st St., Archer Ave., Halsted St., etc.).

Worst people. I called customer service and booked it for two days and now they tell me that it is not possible for them to extend past 24hrs. Rude manager. I would not recommend this location.

Unprofessional, unreliable and a waste of a business. How can a person make a reservation that was accepted and confirmed and you get to the place and they say they don’t have a truck and someone should have called you. And then she says it with a freaking attitude. I’m so tired of garbage business allowed to operate with terrible customer service!!!! I WILL RENT A TRUCK FROM ALLEY MECHANIC BEFORE I EVER RENT FROM YOU BUMS AGAIN! AND I WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE I KNOW DOES THE SAME!!!
