Really glad to see this shop fully re-opened! They have a wonderful variety of beer/wine/liquor and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Its always refreshing to see a hands on owner who makes a point to listen to her customers desires.

This place is great. Me and my wife shop here all the time. It has a wide selections of liquors and beer and is a good place to find new alcohols that you haven’t tried before.

Finally open regular hours, 12-8 all week. Great local shop with most of the usuals plus a lot of interesting sours, Belgians, wines, and spirits.

Perhaps the most pretentious, overpriced and poorly run liquor store in the city. Used to love this place 6 years ago or so but its remarkable how downhill its gone.

They need to update their hours of business, especially with Google. They havent been open for days during the middle of the week. Cant tell if they are finally shut down for good this time.

I ordered two bottles of liquor from here on April 17th. Took my 100 bucks immediately. About a month later, the order still hasn’t shipped. One e-mail back from them after a couple on my part a couple weeks ago saying “they’re behind.” I get COVID has disrupted many things, but at this point it’s simply become exceedingly poor service.

Excellent shop with great selections of craft beer, whiskey, mezcal, and more. Lots of unusual obscure imports and specialty beers. Theres always something new every time I stop by. Knowledgeable folks, willing to chat or help out. Specialized in every way, something you dont get at big box stores.

I live near by, I cant tell if this place has permanently shut down or what... no signs, merch is still in the location, but they have been closed for at least 2 weeks straight. Id probably go there regularly if they were ever open. Dont trust the Google hours, they are never there.**Update**I guess theyre open now. Two months later... 10/02/19

Great selection, but you never know if this place will be open or not. We walked over there today at about 4:00 pm and it was closed. No sign - nothing. This is not the first time that has happened.

I dont know how anyone could go here and not find seven to ten beers they have never seen before. Went for a brew release party and it was great. They just keep pouring the tastings and you can wander the store while you drink. Ended up with a box full of beers and a smile on my face. Cant wait to go back and see what new weird beers they have in stock.

I was looking for a rare beer that I know the store received. I have bought from this place numerous times, but would not consider myself a weekly customer. I have heard that they hold the special beers for the friends/regulars, fine.... When I asked about it I got lied to. I nicely called the guy out on it, inquiring if they are releasing it to the public or holding it for their regulars. The reply was something to the effect of, they didnt tell me but check the web site for release info. I again inquired, even stating I was just looking for some truth. I could tell his conscience was (maybe) affecting him (shame on the owners for putting their employees in this situation) and he again repeated himself.All in all, one star for being liars. Totally inexcusable. If you want to save and only give the hard to find beers to yourself or your regulars, then fine. BUT be HONEST about it.If I was the owner of a brewery would think twice about supplying this shady place my specialty brews.

I’ve loved this place in the past but lately it’s been closed at like 5p and then again today, just now at 7:15 when google says they are open til 9. What’s going on?!

They have been pretty good about communication but this last time I ordered some beer from them that tasted oddly bad and it was older than youd expect from a beer that flies off the shelf. I contacted their shipping and their general store emails wondering if anyone else was complaining about the certain beer tasting terrible compared to normal. I know they cant get stuff any quicker from their distributors but their lack of response to my emails is what caused me to give them the lower rating. Its worth giving them a call and asking about how old some items are before ordering. Other websites I use have dates in the description so I know. Now I know for next time.

Came in to purchase a nice bottle for my friend who is visiting from out of town. Instead we were followed and watched as if we were trying to steal. Completely unprofessional, instead of asking us if we needed help, lurking in the corners of the store watching us. Needless to say we left after catching eyes with the young man twice while he was watching us. Wont be returning and glad.

This liquor store has everything you need! Youll pay more than nearby Jewel or Marianos, but get a MUCH better selection, including the rare 3 Floyd beers. The dude on staff was super helpful showing me around and explaining the differences between different beers.

I had heard that this was the place to track down down hard to find beers in Chicago, so I was expecting to find some good stuff there. But West Lakeview Liquors exceeded my expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful too. I will be back...many times!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff always willing to help if youre looking for something specific that you cant find at first pass. Wine selection is decent if a bit overpriced compared to larger discount stores, but thats to be expected. The go to place in North Center/Roscoe Village for all your imbibing needs.

The selection of beer and wine is impeccable. The list of available beers literally flows out the door. The employees know much more than the average joe when it comes to the alcohols they carry. prices are comparable to what they would go for anywhere else. This little mom and pop alcohol store is one to visit over and over again.

This place stinks. They have a nasty & rude owner and a horrible selection of vodka. 2 choices to be precise. I went here because it was close to where I was vacationing. After ha omg to deal with the rude & nasty owner, I opted to take an Uber to another liquor store which was so much better. Much nicer & more friendly people working there and a much better selection of vodka. Buyer beware. Stay away!!!

Stopped by here to grab a bottle of wine for a housewarming party. Fantastic selection in a tiny, tiny store. I picked a bottle of white from a shelf outside the coolers — and one of the employees headed to the back beer cooler and grabbed me a chilled one to take with me.And it goes without saying that if youre a beer drinker…this little shop is your Mecca.

I ordered four bottle of a VERY expensive whiskey and it took a week to leave the shop and when I called I was told it had gone to UPS already...when it hadnt. Not very organized and not truthful either! Hopefully their website issues will be resolved and they will get back to being a great shop.

This place is a candy store for beer lovers. Great selection of local, regional and international brews that youre not going to find at your typical corner liquor shop. Racks of light beer (Coors, Bud, etc) need not apply. Serious beer fans only

Anyone whos fool enough to believe you cant fit a first-rate selection of beer and various other adult beverages in a small storefront like this is also fool enough to ignore this place. I gaped at what they had and then gaped some more. I settled on a BBA Quadrupel and left before my eyes glazed over.
