I remember before Azucar the guy had a small ice cream cart & amazed he opened his own shop & family owned ! Havent been here in a while & today I recently gone & Ice Cream still good! Owner is super friendly! Definitely would recommend ppl to stop by & support their business!Cash Only ! 💵

Needs improvement, more food options (maybe tamales, pan dulce, churros) customer service (greet incoming customers), the ice cream machine display is too loud.

Owner is a great person. Family owned and operated. Everything is good here, and they really try to make it a welcoming environment.

Azucar is a hidden gem in La Villita! The owners are so nice and always attentive and for the price you get the biggest serving as well as the tastiest. Gansito is my go to flavor and it is even better with their banana split. Please support this business as I know as long as I am in Chicago I will!

My favorite place for ice cream!

Plenty of ice cream to choose from. All the flavors Ive tried were good. Elotes in a cup are very tasty as well. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend to everyone.

Other items offered: malts, milkshakes, floats. Flavors are the pretty classic type. I needed some dessert after dinner, so the friend and I both decided to get sundaes. Initially, mine was good, however, it started to get uncomfortably sweet after everything integrated. Maybe im just getting old? I probably shouldve stuck with 2 scoops of vanilla. There arent many exotic flavors, like say Bi-Rite or Salt and Straw, but hey thats in another that you cant really compare.

Quick and friendly service. Lots of ice cream flavors to choose from. I had piñón, pistachio, rocher and mocha. They were all very tasty. Much better than other popular Mexican ice cream parlors, where the ice cream has begun to lose its handmade taste. Im very satisfied with my purchase.

This ranks as one of my familys favorite ice cream shops in the US- the other two being Leopolds (in Savannah, GA) and Jennys (multiple locations). They have unique flavors (pine nut, corn, avocado, spicy mango) with and without sugar and also your traditional flavors. The owner is AWESOME- professional, informative, friendly, patient and the place is very clean and tidy. I highly recommend this place to anyone. As others have mentioned, its honestly hard to pick just one flavor and the kicker is that its affordable- unlike many other ice cream shops in the city that give you mediocre ice cream at elevated prices.

I was in the area and a local business recommended this location. It was definitely the best ice cream Ive ever had. Definitely recommending it to friends and family. Also their service was magnificent, and their overall look was cozy. If I lived closer to the area, Id visit all the time. If they plan to open up a new location, they should look into the Munster/ Highland IN area. Any Franchising in mind for the future? contact me :)

The ice cream and gelato is amazing! Classic and inventive flavors (the Sangria was a fave), so hard to pick just one--even just two! Also got the hood fave of hot Cheetos with hot cheese sauce. Staff is really nice and friendly and they keep the place spotless. I wish I lived closer because Id love to support them every week.

Great ice cream! A popular spot in the neighborhood. You MUST have the corn ice cream. Bring cash. You get a lot for the money, but they only accept cash. All lables were in Spanish, so if are like me you will need to ask for translation.

The ingredients in everything they make are of the highest quality at an extremely low price. The employees and owner are genuinely kind and friendly. One apparent conclusion I have observed as a more than 4+ year patron, Azucar is more than just an ice cream store/cafe. Give them a visit and experience this one of a kind Little Village gem.

The sorbets are pretty good and nicely priced. I was looking for a menu for coffees but we didnt see what they offered. We went in for coffee but we had mango con chile sorbet and a berry one anfd both were tasty. The ambiance is nice and the service was good.

Cash only. Ice creams, corn in a cup, chicharrones, etc. Mexican snacks. Clean place. Busy after St. Agnes mass is over. Really good.
