INCREDIBLE. I’ve absolutely fallen in love with all of their raw bars / cups / cinnamon rolls. I love that I can order so many and then keep them in my freezer to save them over the week or month. I really respect and love the aspect of creating and serving healthful foods for all. Thank you!!

LOVE this place!! Got the cinnamon roll and the cinnamon roll with the oatmeal crumble on top. Loved both of them but the oatmeal cinnamon crumble one was my favorite. Also got the twix raw bar and it was so so good. I havent had chocolate in a very long time, but it was a good indulgence. Its very rich though so the bar could last me a long time even though its only 2x3x1. Had everything delivered via Doordash and the buns were still warm when I got them. Excellent and highly recommend!Everything is vegan, gluten free and free of processed sugar. The icing on the cinnamon rolls is very sweet but delicious

The first Vegan shop Ive ever went to, and I must say, this is delicious. The food is prepared on a gourmet level. Its artsy and fun and most important, healthy. The owners are fun, friendly, and versed in the ingredients to which a new comer would feel at home. Great spot.

Please save your money. As a gluten-free vegan, I was excited to find this bakery. But the food is wildly overpriced and extremely disappointing. My girlfriend and I had to eat other things afterwards to get the tastes out of our mouths. Firstly, the portion sizes are ridiculously small, especially for the hefty price, and the photos are misleading size-wise. The Mac n cheese was inedible(tasted of nutritional yeast with notes of old sock). The sourdough was gummy-textured and chewy with no flavor. The flatbreads were the least offensive but not worth the price. The pumpkin soup tasted like baby food. Im sorry to say it, but I dont want others wasting hard-earned $ without forewarning. I dont even leave reviews but felt a civic duty.

This place is the best. Syd and Andrew are the friendliest and kindest people and their food is delicious. I get SO excited when I open the freezer and see the raw bars. Catch their flatbreads and all different goodies. Nutritious, delicious, gluten free, vegan, healthy, YUMMY

Cons:Wife says that the snacks are a bit on the sweet side though delicious.Pros:Delicious for one (specifically the cinnamon roll)Easily digestible I cannot stress this enough. I ate the while roll, lo and behold there was no lethargic or heavy feeling that made me regret my cheat meal. This is a meal definitely worth cheating for vegan or not.Thanks to syd and everyone else at ingrained I know youll soon perfect those recipes and well all be able to enjoy healthy snacks that actually taste like snacks!Also the fact that you guys use rich ingredients that actually help the bloody perform rather than hinder it.

I love this place! The raw bars are insane 🤤 and the plant based Alfredo sauce used on the flatbreads is the best Alfredo I’ve ever had! Great atmosphere and so delicious.

Let me start staying I wanted to LOVE this place but I didn’t 🙁I ordered Raw Bar - Pistachio CherryCup - Peanut ButterCup - White Chocolate Caramel Peanut Butter ChipAnd all three of them were just dense overwhelming uncomfortable to eat and the taste was not anything you would expect and not a pleasant surprise.… I’m all about supporting vegan spots but the deserts here simply did not cut it.But the Mac and cheese was beyond all expectations!!! Where do I even begin! We have been going to Ingrained since they opened a few years ago and probably go once, if not twice a week. The owners are the most hard working and committed business owners I know, they strive to make the best vegan treats that fuel your body but yet taste so indulgent. All the staff are friendly, cheerful and they all know what they are talking about when it comes to the ingredients that are using. If I could 100 stars I would!

This place will change how you eat!Im a normally carnivorous guy on a mission to bulk up, and Im not shy about cheat meals. Ingrained both makes cheat meals guiltless *and* eco-friendly. The options are delicious, have excellent macros, and just so happen to be vegan. One of a kind, and will leave you satisfied. Try it!

I placed an order on a whim and decided to check out Ingrained for the first time and was blown away by how amazingly delectable and satisfying the bars were. I had a few questions about the bars and the owners, Syd and Andrew not only answered my questions but packed a few other samples along with my order. I highly recommend the pistachio cherry and am looking forward to future alternating flavors and creations!! I’ll be back!

This has become my go-to dessert place. I know I can feel good about what I’m eating and everything tastes SO GOOD. The flavors aware inventive and ever changing. I am your biggest fan! If I could eat a raw bar every night after dinner, I would be the happiest gal on earth!

Everyone in and/or visiting Chicago must go to try out what this incredible team has to offer. No matter what you get it will be amazing. My personal favorites are the peanut butter cups and the Nola butter raw bar (yes I ate the whole thing in one sitting. It was that good!) I just love the positive vibes you get from everyone who works there and the wonderful healthy treats they provide.

You NEED to order from this place!! Everything I’ve tried has been so delicious. Their raw bars are my favorite dessert/snack and 100% guilt free- you actually feel better after eating them! You also can’t go wrong with the cinnamon rolls. Looking at the menu and ordering from here is the highlight of my week.

Came into Chicago on a mission to get good food. It is incredible to eat both sweet and savoury items off the menu that are guilt free. Would highly recommend the alfredo flatbread, and take your pick on any of the raw bars.

Ingrained has the most amazing & satisfying treats in Chicago. As someone who has a constant craving for sweets, I value Ingrained’s creative & delicious array of offerings. Cinnamon rolls to raw bars to their breads, you truly cannot go wrong. Their shop is aesthetically pleasing, and Syd and Andrew are the hardest working owners I’ve ever seen. Gluten free, vegan & so good - Ingrained is incredible.

They always have the best, most innovative flavors. Some of them are a miss for me but thats mostly personal preference. I see a couple of people saying that some of the bars have honey and hence arent vegan but I am pretty sure thats not true. I think some of the names are creative with words like honeycomb, cream and milk but thats just to bring back some childhood memories. I wish people would just confirm their suspicions with Syd before posting a review on google. I highly recommend the raw bars 🤤

Im generally not one for bread or reviews for that matter, but after my girlfriend turned me on to Ingrained, I cant get enough!This charming little bakery is my much-needed change of pace from the chaotic city. Every time I step in, Im greeted with a smile from the husband and wife duo that own and operate the shop. On top of my lifted spirits, I always leave with a little piece of heaven in the form of their homemade gluten-free sourdough bread.The Salted Truffle is my favorite. We pop one in the oven (dont have a toaster yet) and serve it hot—crispy on the outside, perfectly doughy on the inside.Love this place!

The love affair and addiction I have with Ingrained is unmatched to any relationship with human or food I have ever had. Every bread, bar, truffle, protein cup, etc. is an absolute explosion of flavor and packed with adaptogens and nutrient overload. It almost feels too good to be true that it tastes THAT good and has endless health benefits. Added bonus, everything is legit gorgeous. The adorable husband and wife owners have such a genuine passion for what they do, and that love is contagious every time you walk into the store. Syd is an absolute mastermind. Every time I think I’ve seen/tried it all and found my favorite, she surprises me with something even better. The creativity is beyond measurable and you can literally taste the love in every bite. Syd has created something really special - A way to treat yourself in not only a guilt free way, but a way that makes you feel proud, satiated, and nourished. It’s a whole new level of self love. My fridge is stacked and I hide them in the back behind other food items when friends come over so I don’t have to share (not sorry). Run, don’t walk to ingrained.

Ive been absolutely obsessed with Ingrained and Syd ever since was selling it out of her home and now that she has moved to a store front it has only gotten better. I could not be more impressed with the dedication and the passion she shows. Her attention to detail and the quality of her products is unlike anything I have seem before for someone who is trying to scale her business to be able to accommodate all of her growing customer base. Everyday she is coming up with new flavors, products and next level ideas on how to appease each one of us. I special order her grain free nola (my absolute favorite) and daily fresh baked cookies, breads, pies and cinnamon rolls are to die for. Not only are they organic, vegan, gluten free, but knowing she has her hands in everything that comes across that counter is beyond incredible. Could not recommend this place more!

I live in Nebraska and recently made a trip home to see my family in Michigan. I’ve been following Ingrained on Instagram for a long time and wanted to get my hands on some of their items, so I decided to make a pit stop in Chicago. I reached out to the owners before my trip to see what my order options were and they did everything possible to help me get what I wanted. Since most items are frozen, I was able to reserve items from their menu throughout the week before my arrival in Chicago. Everything I’ve had from my order has been amazing and I would recommend Ingrained to anyone looking for some flavorful treats and for a great customer experience. I will definitely be going there again anytime I’m in Chicago in the future. Thanks to Andrew and Sydney for running a terrific business!

Ingrained is literally a health foodies dream. Syd is literally the most creative and compassionate creator. She cares SO much about every single ingredient going into her products because she truly just wants to nourish others. You can truly tell each item is crafted with love. This company marks their products as vegan but they use honey in their products. When you try to contact them they claim that honey is healthy and “most vegans consider it vegan”. Then they will block you for contacting them. Veganism isn’t about health, it’s about ethics. They should not be marking foods as vegan when they contain honey.

I’ve been here a couple times now, because I wanted to get a feel for it before I wrote up a review. Honestly, I don’t know what I like more, the service or the food.The staff is super helpful and always offers opinions when asked about products. I’ve run into Syd a couple times who I find to be so nice and again very helpful. Last time she was cooking up something new and even offered me a sample, it was amazing.Let’s get to the goods. This place makes delicious, healthy desserts a reality. You can knock that concept but it’s true and it’s amazing! Everything is limited ingredients and I know what all of them are, nothing unpronounceable or artificial. The raw bars, the truffles, the breads, the peanut butter cups it all looks amazing because it is amazing.Bottom line: Syd is innovative and creative. The food is delicious and will line up with almost any diet. This place is the future, Syd just thought of it first. Get there, get obsessed!P.s. yes it’s pricey, it’s healthy dessert that doesn’t suck, of course it’s pricey. You’re fine, it’s worth it.

I came to ingrained for the first time a few weeks ago and have been multiple times since! EVERYTHING Ive tried from ingrained has been amazing. The owner is extremely creative; every time Ive been, the raw bar menus evolved into something even more exciting and beautiful. The raw bars are a must, but the bread is also amazing, particularly the cinnamon roll and the focaccia types (though Im sure as Im writing this, ingrained is crafting up something even more amazing). The staff is always so wonderful and helpful - keep up the great work! Cant wait to go back many more times!

NOT VEGAN.Ingrained claims to be a vegan bakery, but uses real honey in their products. After reaching out to them about false labeling I was blocked. Incredibly immature and terrible customer service.Writing “vegan” on desserts that contain honey is deceiving.

I heard about the brand on Instagram and stopped by to try a few things. I spent over $30 and have never tasted worse vegan treats. The chocolate chip cookies and babka were so dry they were barely edible. The birthday cake raw bar was the only thing remotely edible, but after sampling the first two I was just over it. On top of that I learned that one of my friends, who had a severe nut allergy, stopped in and after being assured that what she purchased was nut-free had an allergic reaction and had to spend the night in the hospital. I hate to leave a bad review of a new, small business, but I’ve never regretted a food purchase more.
