I had extraordinary customer service from Ilham at the Lakeview JC Licht store. I needed buckets of exterior masonry paint and they were out of stock. She found the correct formula at another JC Licht location, confirmed the color and finish, and they had it ready for me to pick up. She made it very easy and was super nice!!

Sally is amazing! I came in after I had painted my house a color of white I didnt like-she immediately helped me by understanding and explaining why the shad of white I picked looked yellow. She gave me numerous options to fix it, stayed with me until I was finished, and was so patient as my 2 year old was not being helpful while we talked! She knows so much about colors and was super patient with all of my questions!

The two different people we worked with during two separate visits were both condescending and rude. They were of zero help and didnt at all explain the process of matching paint colors.Furthermore, they failed to answer any question without condescension.Either go to the West Loop location or the one at Addison and the highway. Its worth going out of the way for better service.

I went to JC Lichts for a couple of paint samples. The man who helped me was very helpful about the type of paint I was trying, but when I received the samples, they looked like they hadnt been mixed properly. The gold color paint had streaks of red in it, and the teal paint was just not mixed at all (see picture). I had to stir it up with a pencil since I wasnt even given stir sticks. Im kind of annoyed, because I paid over $19 for these two samples. The least they could have done (in the 20 minutes I waited) was to shake the cans up.

Everyone in the store is very nice and friendly. Paint is excellent and worth the difference. I had bought Lowe’s and Home Depot paint in the past. This is just much better paint. Not sure how they could be better.

Very helpful customer service. We had a color tone difference with our new Benjamin Moore paint. Kevin was professional and helped us match the color again free of charge. I would highly recommend this store if youre looking for a high quality paint.

On Friday April 21, 2017 I sent one of my crew members to pick up an order for a job. As many times when I cannot be present at the store, I have my crew members call me when they are ready to pay. The store staff always gets on phone to process my transactions. On this particular day when my crew man was ready to pay, he called me. However, as I am driving on the expressway, I heard “Kevin,” from the Jc Licht on Clark and Belmont, refused to take my crew guy’s cellphone because he claimed that he did not touched other peoples’ phone. Furthermore, he said repeatedly that I had to call the store. My crew guy tried to explain the situation, but I heard everything, so there was no need to explain. So, I told my crew member to give him my phone number so “Kevin” could call me, since my hands were behind the steering wheel. Again, I heard “Kevin” said no! and said “she has to call me.” His mean, superior, attitude got me mad by now, and because he had been rejecting my payment for over 10 minutes. I told my crew member to get a supervisor on the phone. Not knowing that he had been part of this whole situation! This supervisor who I cannot remember his name was there next to Kevin. Of course, this manager did not want to take the cellphone, so he called me from the store. As I am explaining the situation, the only thing I heard from him was “okay, okay, hmmm.” This just made me upset, and I said, “You know, I have not heard an apology from you, seriously!!!!” Then I went on furious on him because his attitude was like he did not care about his employee’s attitude. Then I went on saying, “I don’t care if you or your employees do not want to touch other peoples’ cellphones. You need to buy them headphones, pass on the phone to another staff member who is not germ-phobic, or have them call the paying person from the store with a good attitude. This attitude that you guys have going on at the sore toward costumers is just rude and inappropriate.” At this point he starting apologizing, obviously because he knew that my mouth was not going to stop if he did not calm me down with an apology. Then I finally asked him to take my payment. After my crew member exited the store, he called me and told me that they kept on giving him attitude and no one apologized to him. This whole bad attitude vibe they have going on at this store is just out of control. Yes, us painters may look dirty because we have splatted paint all over including our cellphones, but come on there are ways to be able to process transactions without the attitude. I am just sick to witness how discriminatory they are to Hispanics whom do not speak a fluent English.I will be honest about this Jc Litch store on Clark/Belmont. I have been in the painting business for 5 years, I have always hated going to this store because of the ignorant men who work there whom have many times giving me superiority attitude because I am a woman and because I am Latina. When I am in the area I always push to buy Sherwin Williams because I want to avoid this particular store. Not because I am afraid, as you see I am not shy when it comes to defend myself, but I know they will put me in a bad mood because of their superiority attitude, or their incompetence to make my orders on time. I don’t know why but they are the slowest of all the Jc Litch stores, seriously! All I am saying is if they do not have costumer skills, they should not be the front of the house! As a minority business woman, I do expect some kind of apologize letter to my crew staff from the bullying, rude attitude he was given by these ignorant men at the Jc Litch store on Clark/ Belmont.
