This is a old time hardware store. The workes are very helpful. They have everything there, and the prices are very responsible. and the people are cool as heck.

We had multiple home projects to work on and came directly to Cottage Grove Hardware for guidance. Lance was able to guide us with yard work, outside painting and many other projects. He also pointed us where to find information out about how to install a chain link fence! He and all employees of his store were knowledgeable, helpful and generous with their question answering. We love Cottage Grove Hardware!

I absolutely love this store and the knowledgable and helpful staff! You never have to look around for someone if you have a question about a product. They offer a wide variety of products that you would find in any big box store and their prices are equally compatible. They also offer services such as screen repair, I have have several done there and it was extremely affordable.

Always passed by this place, I decided not stop . Oh my God, in my own neighborhood. They had all that I was looking for . Loved my purchases . Mr Lance, store manager was very helpful. Will make this my go to hardware store now

I went here about the beginning of January. I was so shock how clean, organize it was. I would rather go here thanHome DepotYou ask, how can I say that? They have people there to help you find whatever, OK!I give this hardware store an A+

Enjoyed my visit to Cottage Grove Hardware (still adjusting to the name change) today. Service personnel are the best. The assist the customer with a purpose, to get you to be a return customer. this will be my go to store and its in the neighborhood.

I am glad to have this Hardware store in the community which has or can get any item I would need. The staff has been A1 every time I have entered the store to do business. It has a old family run and friendly atmosphere and I look forward to spending money with them locally. Tools, building material, paints, equipment, bargains, pets, etc, etc... call first and make arrangements if that is your cup of tea. Visit often. Watch for the new and improved location in years to come...step by step...They are getting things done

Keys never work when I go to get copies...started going to another place to get keys made.

Neighborhood hardware store that always has everything that I need. It is a little dark inside. However, the employees are friendly and helpful.If you have a couple of things to pick up, DEFINITELY go there. Quick in and out shopping.

Good local competition for home depot when I dont want to travel that far

It will always be The Railroad Salvage to me. Been shopping here since I was old enough to spend my own money. And I buy NOTHING at Lowes or Home Depot I can get here.

I rated this store the way I did because this was my first time visiting. So far the customer service was nice. I was able to get assistance when I requested it in a timely manner.

This place is like a mini Home Depot if you will. A lot of variety which is surprising since its in the hood. I can find almost anything I want here

Ta love this hardware! As a remodeler, I find their prices are far better than the larger home improvement stores. Even better, the staff is excellent and helpful! Manager Phil, his son, and Tawanna are the greatest and always provide personal assistance with a smile. And then there is the hot fresh popcorn! Yum! You cant find a nicer neighborhood hardware on Chicagos Southside! Please patronize this business.
