The place is HUGE and it have a great selection of produce and fruits. The place is clean and they have staff on the floor.I just wish the take out food and the meet were up to standards. I been a butcher for over 10 years and when I saw their meet department, I was disappointed. How can a place that look so clean and almost luxurious have a meet and food department that looks like the corner stores old meet. The meet was dark almost black and dry. The pics dont do justice but it might give you an idea of what Im talking about. When you leave meat in the fridge for too long it dries and it turns dark and the longer you leave it in there uncovered, the darker and dryer it gets. Hell, the packaged meet looked better than the fresh one. The same goes for food out in the open. The take out section was no different. The food been sitting out for a while. The steak meat was actually black for sitting out like that for too long. The pizzas looked old, Im talking about cold dry cheese on top. Have you left your leftover pizza on the table over night? Well, that how the fresh pizza looked like. I couldnt take a pic cause the lady put them on the counter top under the display when she realized I was taking pictures of the food there. But here is the kicker, they are NOT taking precautions or enforcing the mask policy. The take out section only has a glass on top and ANYONE can just reach in and grab food. I saw this guy with no mask or gloves serving himself. The same thing goes for the bakery. You want bread, grab it yourself. With this Corona thing going on, I think this is really irresponsible from the store part. How you gonna have 100s of people touching the same utencils to grab bread? That makes a hot spot and peoples germs are spread around. Some one can have the virus, cough on their hand and go grab some bread or food, touch the serving spoon and spread the bug.1 thing is for sure..., you wont catch me going there again. That place is a hot spot for the bug based on what Ive seen.

We are guests (customers) we shouldnt have to go talk to the managers about nothing thats the owners job.. we should just come in and shop... went there today around 6:30pm the lady with long fake eyelashes at the hot foods not helpful at allthe lady at the taqueria got the order all wrong she seems to have memory problemsRegister in the back not open have to go to the front registers to pay for food then go to the back to eatBy the way the food at the hot foods has no sazon 3rd time I go there to eat and food has no flavor.. They probably just cook the meat in boiling water .. My first time there. Its a big store. They need at least one or two employees on the floor to assist customers. No signage. I inquired about a product. I was told the store has it. While waiting after I paid. The cashier gets the call. The store doesnt have in stock.

I have seen since long time one flowers decoration with its price $169.99. And today I decided to buy it, the surprise for me was the manager toll me that it is not for sale so I dont understand why they put the price in the things that they are not selling 😏😏😏😏😏😏😏he told me that he is going to ask the owner first, I hope they call me and give me good news....

Its a good place for fresh everyday items and most groceries. Though I really wish they would offer a better selection of Middle Eastern, Indian, and Asian foods. You may or may not find the things you want if youre looking for items that fall in those categories. Everything else you will definitely find.

Absolutely gorgeous. The way they display the vegetables you would think you were in an art museum. All the employees are not only friendly but know where each item is located.

Nice clean grocery store to shop reasonable prices

Groceries are fine. The restaurant is okay sometimes. Today I man who doesnt work in the kitchen. I could assume this because kitchen workers wear white. He was wearing all black. I ordered 3 tacos. Usually they warm up my tortillas good but when he made my tacos they are super cold and fall apart. I basically have to grab a fork and eat it like a messy taco bowl.

We love to shop here they have really extend variety of products prices are reasonable! We been going here since they open theres no other place like this one. The arrachera is really good quality for the cook outs!!

It was nice to go into an extremely clean store all items were organized it was a great experience inside the store but some of the items were a bit pricey compared to Tonys food store.

Dont make the mistake of underestimating what this place has. Go in. Ask around. You might be surprised as to what youll find. Tried their Brazil baked chicken about a month ago. Falls off the bone. Great with veggies. Filling. Theyve got a live kitchen. Get whats on the menu and its good.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! THE Cermak Fresh Market, qinside the Fields Building represents the history of Chicago well! The market is perfectly organized, great open space to walk, and very clean! As a teacher/educator the Cermak Fresh Market at 4000 W. Diversey is the place to go, visit and shop!

Customer service lacks and they’re rude. I didn’t get one food item and simply wanted to get the item that I was charged for - and they made me feel like I was a fraud mastermind (they reviewed their video tapes to make sure I was telling the truth). Been shopping here for years but will be shopping elsewhere after their horrible rude customer service for one food item.

This has to be the fanciest Cermack i have ever been to. Amazing. Everything is here. Amazing produce section. Lots of aisles to wander. Lots of different culture cuisines. Basically just shop here.

Best produce selection in the neighborhood! I am always amazed by the varieties they have and the freshness. The store is well-organized and has tons of food of all types. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Definitely recommend coming here for produce, fresh bread, and the deli selection - including lunchmeat and cheese as well as lots of pre-made salads (they have so many different types of pasta salad).

Horrible customer service and more expensive than other Cermaks around the city.I wanted to buy a six pack malt beverage, but there was only one more pack left of the brand we wanted. Unfortunately, only 5 out of the 6 bottles were present in the pack.I brought it up to the register and asked to either replace the sixth bottle with another similar malt bottle or to sell me the 5/6 pack for not full price. The ladies who helped me at the register had to get manager sign off. The manager took his sweet time to come to the register. He didnt acknowledge me or even talk to me. He whispered something into the tellers ear and walked away. Apparently he told them to give me the pack for 5.99. The original cost is 6.99. One bottle obviously costs more than $1. Hes a cheat, and walked away before there was even a resolution. I was so excited to show my mom this store, because my family loves the Cermak on Damen. This is not the same. They treat you like trash here!

Very fresh produce that last long! E always fund everything we need. I do not like their meat, I find it spoils quick but I do love their seafood!

Hi all,This is not the first time I stopped to get lunch in Cermark & get the impression that they forget they are making food for human beings (I do it because It is convenient ). Their made food is horrible, I thought of coming back to store and talked to a manager but customer services desk seemed rude and busy.

The store is very nice but some of the cashiers charge for the clear bags you use to grab your lemons. The SAME cashier has charged me for those bags. BE CAREFUL I’m not going to name the lady’s name but it’s on my receipt.

This supermarket is indeed the best when it comes to providing products and its services. Im so thankful because this place truly has it all. From imported products and many more. I was really having the best time here because the place was so amazing and everything else was perfect. Good job, everyone! Thank you so much!

Everything is very expensive, apart from the meat they sell the cashiers overcharge, the cashier Cecilia charged me 3 times for a fruit I asked for it and she did not apologize.

I love the store. Is clean and has a big selections of produce. I had an experience where a guy walked in with out a mask and the cashier told him he needed one, but he told her that he was vaccinated and show her on his phone. She still told him he needed the mask and he just kept walking inside the store. This is the kind of problems we would have to deal with from now on.

Review #2:Ok, this time was much more comfortable. The people behind the stations were much more pleasant and nicer. The girls at the check out counters were nicer too. I really like the fresh produce here. Its really clean and easy aisle to move thru comfortably. I feel better about returning to this Cermak Fresh Market.

One of the best stores ever to be honest, Always clean, Friendly Employees, Delicious Food and so many cool other stuff like Thermal Detection, Gelatos, Great cakes, Great Music Playlist and Covid 19 Rules on point.

Always happy with the range of produce and prepared goods (the bakery is so tempting and their range of fresh-cooked food is great!).Especially in these quarantine times, I appreciate how well organized it is and how helpful the staff are. I wasnt sure about the senior times today since I know they open very early, so I took a picture of the sign when I arrived about 8:00.

This is the best Cermak to visit in all of Chicago (Im pretty sure). Its so CLEAN and so organized and the customer service here is amazing. Food is always fresh. The one weird thing though is that the bathrooms are kind of creepy because the floors are so clean and shiny that they are reflective and you can see into the stall next to you.... I try not to use the bathrooms lol

Walked in for the first time at about 8:30pm on a Tuesday night and was amazingly shocked at the friendliness from the staff and not to mention the variety of products. Meant to walk in for 3 items and came out with a cart full! Prices are good. It made me think of a Marianos with the set up.

Love this place! I can always find some quality meats at a really good price from the deli or otherwise. Ive been buying the preseasoned meat lately and its 🔥 🔥. The produce is legit, some of the best in the area. Fresh and well priced, what more could you ask for you 😋? Other note worthy things, they have a bakery, kitchen, Taco Bar, and Gelato station 🤯. This place has some of the best produce in the area.

Pretty much anything that’s in a package (i.e. not meat or produce) is limited in variety and costs 10-50+% more than Jewel, Mariano’s, and often even WFM. Some prices are laughably/offensively high.Good prices and decent selection on typical, everyday produce (though they don’t have a lot of the specialty stuff that recipes randomly ask for—fresh sage, Japanese eggplant—a couple of things I couldn’t find here recently). Also good selection for any Latin-American food item or ingredients.The music is always awesome. They have some vegan stuff in a little area in the back but it’s quite expensive also and there’s isn’t a ton to choose from.We have started doing two or three shopping trips—one to Cermak for produce and tortillas only, and one to Mariano’s or Trader Joe’s for everything else. I can only recommend Cermak for produce.Removed 3 stars:- 1 because they don’t have paper bags. Plastic is terrible for the environment.- 1 because I was recently there and they were trying to sell a two-pack of something as individual items, each at the full price of two, even though the manufacturer’s label specifically forbade it and the package advertised it as a pair.- 1 because they charge SO much for vegan-friendly stuff like alternative meats, plain flavored oat milk, etc. If we’re going to move to a more sustainable food system, grocery stores have to help make it affordable. The manufactures are doing their part by lowering prices, and Cermak is just benefitting by taking huge margins rather than passing on those reduced costs to the consumer. Shameful.

I usually shop at specialty stores like Trader Joes or Dill Pickle, but there are certain items I cant find at those stores. Cermak has everything! They have a FANTASTIC cheese selection (go to Binnys acros the street for wine!). Their deli and produce staff are kind and helpful. I also love the hot bar aisle and the variety of breads available. Produce is always fresh and neatly organized. I do wish they had better basil though!

Super fresh food, excellent service, and great variety.

Its convenient for me on the way home. I like the fact that they have free heated indoor parking for when the weather is bad. The prices seem a little higher than other grocery stores but the aisles are wider and the produce selection is varied and fresh. They also have a large selection of seeds and nuts. In the back theres a booth for tacos to go and other instantly prepared foods. The employees are always nice. The place is always clean and tidy when Ive been there.

Wow!!! What a fantastic grocery store!! Weve been to other Cermak Fresh Markets in Chicago but this one is exceptional!!! Extensive selection of fruits and vegetables and the meat and fish selection is fabulous as are the prepared meat section and bakery. Pricing are very competitive.The store is very clean and nicely lit! The staff is very helpful and pleasant. Definitely worth a trip!!!!

This is over a mask Mandate. I have a deviated septum and cannot breath as it is. I watch touch their face, body parts, no glove of or mask change. I have 3 children and can nt afford a home delivery as it is . Nonetheless Lea jacked a prices @ a delivery charge plus a tip. I shop at jewel. Whole Foods, Aldi, Walgreens w: no incident. The lady checking out my groceries would not start scan until I was fully suffocates. Despite the science being that unless we have a medical grAde masks, atopping any virus is like a chain link fence stopping a bucket of ping pong balls. I was sweating, lightheaded? & fell twice. She got and they wanted it wrapped tight as they spoke with NO MASK 🙄🤦‍♂️. The lunacy is at high levels. I left without the $250 in groceries and went to Jewel Osco...Not one issue Cermak produce will embarrass their customers and missRevenue into bankruptcy. I’ll NEVER go there again. Cermak Fresh Market was the cleanest of all grocery stores that I have been to since the Pandemic. Every aisle, store shelf, refrigerator and freezer was pristine. I shop at Mariannos (on Webster and Ashland), Wholefoods (on Kingsbury/North Ave and the one on Belmont and Ashland), Jewel on Ashland and the one on Western and Roscoe...Cermak is by far the best one Ive visited and the customer service is pleasantly refreshing. I dont think Ill be shopping anywhere else for my groceries anymore, even if I have to drive a good 15 mins just to get groceries. Ths location on DIVERSEY & Pulaski is go to, from now on!

Its a good quality market, but the prices are high, and more than that, things that say they are on sale, I ended up paying the full price for them. I cought them many times on that. For example, a big bag of shredded cheese was discounted to 4.99, but on the register, i paid 7.99. I found out about it at home. Why they dont update the prices? I could go and dispute with them for those 3 dollars, but most of the people, like me, will let it go and accept the little loss. So guys be careful and read your receipt before leaving because I didnt, and I overpaid for such discounted things many times.

Great nice clean place! Only issued Ive had were, not finding any regular hidden valley ranch twice already in a span of 2 weeks, no variety of hot pockets just ham and cheese¿? Like how? And just recently bought tamales from there, last time Im doing that! Oh and I found some cookies that were expired staff should really look Into that, other than that nice place friendly staff

This is the most modernized of the Cermak stores, and features (under non-covid circumstances) places to eat and a place where they serve gelato.For Cermak super-fans like myself, this one may not have the variety of localized items of some of the other locations, but it makes up for it in size, better layout, and knowledgeablilty of staff.

They have a good amount prepackaged food but wish they had more organic food.

Love the fresh sandwiches that they make every day.
