The BEST Chicago gifts! I will always go here to buy a gift when someone moves out of town, and when I do- I always find something fun to buy myself it my husband. They truly get Chicagoans! I recommend Transit Tees for both gifts and for impulse buys that will bring a smile to your face and remind you how much you love Chicago. We just played their Chicago Transit Adventure tonight- so much fun plus you learn about new places in the city too!

Cool shop. They carry a little bit of things to help you remember the El and your transit trips. Employees are fun and have good knowledge of area and products. If looking for a quick gift or a souvenir you might find one here.

The only advice I can really offer is know what youre buying. Most of whats there is carnival quality, worth pennies and costing you much much more than that. For example, the Chicago vinyl record with the skyline cut into it cost them at most $4 to make. Your price? $65. When its on sale... They arent using actual Chicago records. Theyre buying worthless vinyl and through some strategic sticker work, you get a hefty dose of deceivement for an equally hefty price tag. I know because I bought one, took it out of the cheap, cardboard frame, and discovered the back side of the album was for a band Id never heard of. Its just not worth the cost. Never ever. Ever. Ever ever ever. Ever....

This is a gem of a store for any transit lover you may know. They have a various selection of clothes, mugs, games, etc etc, all related to the CTA. They just released a CTA board game which I snagged for Christmas and we have had a good time playing it. Ive been a few times and the people at the store have been nice and checkout is a breeze. Parking isnt always easy near here, if you want free parking, I recommend looking on Ashland and walking over.
