I cannot begin to explain how great my experience was with Steve Cotton and Midwest Windows. My property has in excess of 100 windows so the process for selecting the design was daunting to say the least because a mistake would be an expensive oops. Steve was exceptionally patient and extremely helpful to me in coming up with the final design, counseling me on color options and window styles. We have gone through various seasons and on top of the windows looking FABULOUS (people stop and stare all the time), they have done wonders to reduce my utilities bills by helping to control the temperature. I definitely recommend Steve Cotton and Midwest Windows because I got more than a bang for my buck!!!

This company has been extremely difficult to get a hold of and they dont ever follow up when you finally are able to get a hold of them. I had windows installed by them back in September. When I bought the windows in may they told me 8 weeks to install and I had to follow up tight them weekly once the 8 week window passed, they never once called me to tell me about a delay or possible eta. Now the windows have been installed and Ive had to recaulk them because the installers didnt seal the entire window frame. Ive also had an issue with one of the windows not opening correct and when I reached out to them to address it they once again didnt follow up.Save your money, time and sanity and go with someone else for windows.

I was shopping around to replace the windows in our home in the city. I got 5 estimates and the price and the process was horrible. After 2 companies charging a arm and a leg and 2 companies just not showing up and providing the estimate we went with Midwest Windows. The experience was awesome, they showed up on time provided a written estimate and gave me an affordable price.When it came to installation it took quite some time to get the finish product(not so happy about the wait time). But you know it was well worth the wait, the guys showed up on time and didn’t a really good job. My husband came home and pointed out a couple issues in the caulking. I called and they came out about 2 weeks later and fixed the caulking so we was happy in the end. We will use Midwest Windows soon to do our doors once we pay off the windows we finances.

I reached out to this company after reaching out to so many and was please with the customer service and the price. They got the job done fast and efficient, very responsive and professional. I will recommend them to anyone!

I am doing a slight adjustment to my review here in that Steve did try to help me with my window and did offer me the most competitive price he could conjure. I still found the service request to be under par in my estimation but, the initial attempt does not dexerve a sigle star more in line with 2. The kicker is I really wanted to do business locally so if they could even have come near an offer I would have taken it.

***Please see owners response. Clearly they missed the whole point about waiting over a month to let client know that they were unable to get a hold of HOA for approval (that process I understand). But to not even update the client about the lack of progress citing that they dont want to bother the client but then saying that client would lose their deposit (33% of total purchase price) because it is past the 3-day cancellation terms is unbelievably UNETHICAL). The fact that they have not owned up to this or see it as an issue or even offer an apology should make you worry***Started out so well....how did it end up like this!Our place was in desperate need of new windows--this is the type of purchase that you dont act on your impulse. Usually, the Yelp community rarely fails when it comes to recommending their best. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to our expectation.We started the process of ordering windows back in January. The sales rep was incredibly kind and professional--the way he approached our order instilled confidence that all would work out the way it should. We put down our deposit without hesitation and were quoted for windows to come out of production somewhere between 6-8 weeks. Fair. Lets accept the lagging production time during these CoVid days. We were told at time of deposit that we had 3 days to cancel the order or else wed forfeit our deposit--it was clearly laid out in the contract. We noted.Early March about 5-6 weeks later we receive a call, and I initially thought that they call to say that our windows were done and wanted to schedule an install date. Nope! Instead, the office admin called to say that they had issues with getting a hold of our HOA for approval but didnt want to get the client involved. Um, what?! I understand not wanting to be bothersome, but after a few failed attempts, you would imagine that you would at least let your client know that there have been roadblocks preventing them from moving forward.I was shocked that they had waited over a month to tell me that, but I cooperated and tried to be of help and got them connected to our HOA. After much back and forth, our HOA ended up not approving the proposed windows, and Midwest Windows would not order/install without HOA approval. We were back at square one and tried to ask them what to do and of we could cancel the order, the owner verbally slipped and said that we could lose our 33% deposit since it was out of the 3-day contract term. UM.... EXCUSE US! We werent even informed about the office not being able to reach out HOA until over a month later! How would we have known that it wasnt going to work out when we werent even informed about the progress or lack thereof.During this very frustrating time, every time Id call the office, no one was able to given me an answer and that Id have to wait for the owner who happened to not be in the office for an extended period of time. Not sure why there werent other ppl who could have helped with our order issues. The office admin who had been working on our order seemed curt and annoyed every time I called.Fast forward 8 months later...EIGHT! (Was quoted 6-8 weeks) we finally were scheduled for install. Installers were late (arrived after hours...no masks worn). And the installation quality wasnt anything to write home about. Messy caulk everywhere, frame not painted (to be fair, they did tell us that they dont paint them) but it did look dirty.Im disappointed. Windows arent cheap and we decided to not go with a big box store to support local business and expected better customer service than say Lowes.

After setting up an estimate appointment a week ago for 10am today, I received a call from a rep asking to move our appointment to 2pm this afternoon. At 2:25pm I received a call from the estimator saying he was on his way and should arrive in 15 minutes. I took this as a sign as to how this company handles their business and said I no longer needed an estimate today but said I might contact them in the future. The estimator responded, No. We wouldnt be interested, and promptly hung up on me. There are plenty of doors and windows providers out there.

For the local area high end products are not the norm. I am not saying you need to distribute lower end products but have a range so local home owners can support local businesses.

Rep came out quickly, over 5 weeks ago to provide an estimate for a door replacement, Ive yet to receive the estimate. Each time Ive called (at least 3 time now), Im told they have to contact the rep and someone will call me within the hour; it has not happened. Correct company, used my real name for my appointment and not my nickname (Miki Deen).

Initial quote and measuring was great, price was good and the owner was wonderful to work with. Installation took longer than they thought since there were some issues with one of the install guys. They worked late and the guy who came back to finish install was very quick. Other than the delay and needing to find another time they could come out, it was good. They thoroughly cleaned up and the new windows are great.

Steve and his team did an amazing job with two of our escape windows. Highly recommend this company! Theyre very efficient and straight forward. They even set up the district inspection to make sure that the windows passed all of the requirements. Latoya was very attentive and responsive to all my questions, very helpful. During a global pandemic and a very difficult pregnancy my representative was beyond helpful and accommodating. From start to finish it was a seamless, professional, and pleasant experience. Call Midwest Windows first. I have a large 3 flat building/home with 30 plus windows. Most of them are over sized windows. My home was built in 1860s.I called several of the large windows companies and they all were the same: over priced, never the same contact person, and a one size fits all approach.A friend referred me to Midwest windows.They came out to tour my home and got a good understand of what I wanted to accomplish.They gave me several different options and made a final recommendation on what would be the best fit for my home.The owner personally came out as well to make sure that my needs were being met.Midwest windows provided me with quality windows at a phenomenal price! And I do mean phenomenal price!!! They made my decision easy.Most important. I am happy with the end result. The windows look amazing and my home stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer.I wish I would have call them first!!!

I was in need of just a few windows as the majority of the ones on the house were in good shape. I called Midwest Windows Direct and three other locally advertised companies. One of those companies was the manufacturer of the windows that are currently on my house.I interviewed the three companies and found all four salespeople to be knowledgeable about their product. All four had what I believe were good products. All four salespeople were passionate about their product. The salesperson from the manufacturer of the windows currently on my house was wanting to close the sale on the first visit and got to be a little annoying and somewhat condescending in his comments as to why I wouldnt buy his product as it was the best on the market.After receiving the quotes from each vendor, I compared quality and price. Of the four, Midwest Windows Direct had what I thought was the best product at what was the best price. Their price was approximately 50% less than the aforementioned vendor with the pressure sales tactics.I was fortunate to have the owner of the company, Steve Cotton as my salesperson. Steve was vey attentive to my questions and while passionate about his product, never pressed me to make a decision on the spot but to take some time think about it.Once I decided to go with Midwest, Steves team jumped into action. An estimator came to my house to measure. He was on time for our appointment and was very efficient and professional in his approach in measuring for the windows one of which was a half moon design.His office staff made sure I had a fully executed contract and understood next steps. Due to Covid 19, the installation was delayed as the window manufacturers suspended operations. However, even with that happening, the windows were installed only about two weeks later than what Steve had promised.I am extremely satisfied with the quality of the window and the installation. It took about an hour a window to install. There was no damage to the walls or exterior as a result of the installation. The installers left the area clean.I give Steve Cotton and his company an A+ in regard to the manner they do business. Steve came out to give me an estimate for replacing my storm security door and sidelight security panel. He asked if I had tried using steel wood to remove the flaking paint,since the doors are in pretty good shape otherwise. I had not because I thought it would be more work than I wanted to do. After trying the steel wool on a small section, I decided to undertake the project myself. When I told Steve, he graciously gave me further instructions as to how I should proceed, even making sure that I purchased the proper paint.Even though I did not use his services, I would recommend his company based on his honesty and the lack of the hard sell approach..

I contacted 5 window companies and I had 4 companies came out. Midwest Windows was the best out of all the companies that came out. Tom came out and quoted us for all the windows in our home. Got some pretty nice size windows a couple years ago from them. Pricing was fine insulation was excellent. I asked for three smaller Windows this year and the pricing was little higher so I chose not to go with them.

We had lots of quotes from multiple companies before choosing to go with Midwest Windows Direct and we couldn’t be more happy with our experience. Steve came out to do the initial sale and was very knowledgeable about the product and gave us great recommendations for a high quality product at a reasonable price. All our questions were answered in a timely manner, and installation was completed within the originally promised time window. The installers were professional and respectful of my home, answered my questions and kept me up to date on their progress. When I was unhappy with the caulking on one window, they came back and fixed it until I was happy and didn’t ask for payment until i was satisfied with the work. Most importantly, our house feels SO much warmer now, the difference is dramatic! We recommend them completely.

I had a wonderful experience with Midwest when i ordered new Windows for my home. Everything arrived on time and the work was completed in one day by a great crew.

I know every experience is different but I cant tell you how horrible mine was. First, the visit took hours and after we finally negotiated and agreed to a price, they called back and said that they couldnt honor it. Not only that, they miss counted the windows in my house making the pricing even higher. Needless to say, I cancelled my order immediately and will NEVER do business with them. Again, worst experience ever and even after all of that, they wouldnt even say sorry. It was kind of oh well either accept or walk away which is what I did. HORRIBLE!!!!

POOR Installation and POOR customer serviceWe replaced all windows in my house and the patio door in December 2015 . Steve Cotton was the representative who sold us the windows. Yes they were somewhat cheaper than 2 companies Ive asked for quotes but I will not get them If Ive known I will have a sub par windows from bad installation and bad customer service. We believed in Steves presentation and took Midwest for my house windows replacement ( ~16 windows + 1 patio)The windows probably were good but proper installation was not done. My husband asked if that is normal that they do just placed/inserted teared pieces of fiberglass insulation around the window and not foam and they said yes. We thought it is not a big deal. This is our first house so we didnt know about anything until our contractors who remodeled our the house and place casings around the windows mention it. We still thought it should be okay but on the winters that came by, we feel a lot of draft coming out on all windows when my hands are placed on the window casings. WORST was on the new patio door, a lot of draft coming in when we had a colder winter 2017-2018 .In 2017 ( spring and fall) we had series of thunderstorms, we had a leak on the same spot every time we had a continuous rain that was directly below the patio door ( our basement is unfinished, we have a clear view of the joist below the patio door ). When the weather was good, we inspected where the water coming from, its highly likely coming on both sides of the door where it meets the wall, where if insulation is not done properly then water will came in. We contacted first their web site where you can request service but I did not get any answers, after 2-3 emails Steve Cotton contacted us. We were patient since we cant just remove the patio door and return it. As he promise a guy came out to look at the problem .The only issue was the guy was not a contractor nor installer but a representative of the patio door manufacturer. He mentioned that the door was fine and might be a installation issue so we have to resolve it with Midwest instead. Of course the issue is the way it was installed unless the patio door itself is defective!! So he said he will let Steve know and they should contact us. Weeks have came by and did not hear anything. We contacted Steve because we have a time line with our basement finishing .He will answer back with promises . Its going on for at least 2 months now and we keep stating we are in the having contractors to finish our basement this spring and will have to close off the walls in the basement WE WANT IT FIXED before then. We did not hear anymore from anyone from MIDWEST noR from Steve who gave wonderful reviews for their installers initially ( who by the way are 3rd party contractors). All the windows and patio door have still warranty. Unfortunately, The only way for me to get this thing resolve ( hopefully) and Midwest attention is to file a complaint to BBB and give my bad experience to social network reviews. We should have done our homework and invested our money in another window company. BRING YOUR HARD EARN MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU PLAN TO REPLACE YOUR WINDOWS AND DOORS.

I paid a half down payment on the July and I was waiting to be install doors on sept. Two days before, no one notify me when they will be at my home so I contact them. They said, one of my door cant do it because manufacturer disconnected making the size.As contract, I already told them and they already told me, they dont make it, I said okay with Mynard and it has been in contracted written. I was very upset and demanded money back and they did give my money back. I could make a big deal out of a breach of contract but I let it go. It is not worth of my time to wast a pity things such as. I will be very unhappy customer until I find someone else to do my door next year.
