If you want to go and get bad customer service this is definitely the place to go! I’m not one to give bad reviews but I was so deflated after visiting this place twice that I need to share my experience!First, I went on a Saturday, (my only day off)the hours on Google states they closed at 2. So I called and called and called never answered. There were cars outside, so I knew someone was in there. So, I peeked through the windows and someone came out and rudely said “we are closed”! He told me what regular hours are so to come back then. I was very upset because that was a 40 minute drive for me and my contractor needed doors.I took some time off on Monday and went back because well, their website showed more doors that I was interested in for my new home. Well I was treated equally as bad. I walked in there and the same guy looked so annoyed and didn’t really guide me through the show room and didn’t ask me what I was looking for or nothing. I walked around the showroom, I went back into the offices to ask questions, he sent me back in there and said I’ll be there shortly. He finally came and I started telling him what I was looking for, his responses back were short and uninterested. Nothing is in stock, doors will take weeks to get there and his customer service skills lacked.I ended up walking out but this time with the answers I needed and I won’t be recommending this place to anyone. If I’m going to drop $$$ on nice doors, I would expect to be treated with respect and guidance as this was my first time looking for doors. The guys at my local HD were way more helpful than this Door Depot.

This place is great. I get in/out in minutes. Only issue is that they never answer the phone so you need to go there.. that said, I had success with purchases of 7 solid interior doors, plus exterior door. All quality products at good prices. Will shop there again.

The person at the front is very rude, not helpful and looked at us like we were a bother for trying to use this company for our door purchase. Will not be back.

We had doors delivered on Friday. It is only curbside delivery. The frames were all wrapped in cardboard and plastic straps holding the cardboard and doors together. Saturday/Sunday we had our carpenter installing the doors into our house and we noticed that on one of the doors the frame had a giant crack in the wood which could not be fixed and had to be replaced for the door to function. My installers had to replace the frame from Home Depot since we needed the install completed by Monday for the painter. I called Door Depot on Wednesday because the week was very busy to notify them and ask if u can be refunded for the part I had to replace that was damaged. I spoke to brian our sales rep and he told me that I needed to have inspected the item on Friday at delivery. He NEVER told me that was required when we placed the order and at a quick curbside drop off there is no time to undue all the straps and cardboard. I also explained to Brian that had i removed the straps in the garage to inspect, the doors are very flimsy and not secured well and it would be impossible to carry them into the basement for installation in one piece. Had I known that inspection needed to be done at delivery, I would carry them one by one into the basement and inspect them while delivery person waited for however long it took me. Shame on you Door Depot for not being honest, transparent and standing behind your products! Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. We purchased doors for the 1st and 2nd story of this new construction home somewhere else for cheaper AND the quality was better too! Avoid Door Depot if you want a place with good customer service who stands behind their product! When I said “Brian, it sounds like you don’t really care,” he said “yea, sorry.” Wow!!!!

Expensive and no doors in stocks, only preorder, 6-8 weeks of waiting.what kind of bussines is this if youdont have the material wich you are selling, i can do it online, by my self, directly from shipper.

Great experience overall, knowledgeable staff helped with choosing correct doors and moldings. Very smooth transaction and my order was ready on time. Highly recommended place, will use it again..

I have read through the reviews and Im puzzled on how so many people can get it so wrong. Doors are complex systems and the details are the devil. For folks that got a bad order you have to review and sign the order. Each door needs eight or ten details.Your order is as good as the info you give and the attitude you carry into their store.And for those who did not get great service, the guys asked all the right questions and helped close all the details for my order.Im in the construction business and I have bought many doors from Darpet, both in the Elk Grove and Chicago location. We specialize in extensive remodels and new custom homes. When we do remodel jobs we come across the strangest door sizes, and believe me Darpet is the only place that has these crazy sizes in stock.A note about some of the other reviews. If you are buying a door you need to know details. Which way does the door swing? Where exactly is the doorknob How tall/wide is the door or if you are including the framing how big is the opening. Measure more than once and think things through. Before you sign for your order look over the measurements listed. These people know doors, they are a PRO-DEALER, most of their customers are professionals, if you dont know what you are doing, ask some questions.

Very rude and didn’t offer any assistance even after I asked for help. They all sat around on they’re cell phones and watched me leave. I guess they make enough money that they don’t need anymore. Don’t waste your time!

Gave me pricing on a couple doors but wouldnt talk to me about trim. Told me to look online. He didnt have time unless we wanted 5000 linear feet. With an attitude like that, I didnt bother to tell him we were currently doing a million dollar renovation in Oak Park with more on the burner. I just left, price was good on the doors, but I dont deal well with with the attitude.

Bad service, orders never on time, sales person never call back in general bad service... I place my order back in November and still 2019 no answer on when will be arriving not a special order or nothing terrible service DO NOT BUY HERE AT ALL....

This company is one of the worst places I could ever recommend as a contractor. After several errors with a huge order for their European style doors they were never able to commit to the alotted 8 to 10 weeks. Additiionally, I had a special order on trims that would make the actual doors and it took them 8 months to get my order complete. The service staff are incompetent. They kept bringing items were not ordered or specified in the order. They kept making excuses including the manager Richard who stepped in and stated it would be corrected. And it never did. It wasnt until I demanded a complete refund that my doors finally came in. And it took 8 months before the owner stepped in. I waited patiently because half the order was almost complete and I had no choice. I needed one more door and they promised there would be mo more mishaps and after 12 weeks not only has it not arrived they cannot comply with their own contractual agreements. Incompetence, unprofessionalism and carelessness for their customers. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. there are several other vendors offering the same product who can deliver as promised.

At Darpet Inc., known as Darpet Doors there are very dishonest people, they were rude and at the end they were yelling at me. All the excuses and lies they make will not fly with many customers.I ordered doors with door handle locksets and the handle locksets were not delivered as agreed.On September 18th, I received the order and the delivery person made pictures of all the delivered products informing me that all products were delivered. I checked the order and most of the handle locksets were not delivered. The delivery person asked me to call the office. The gentleman in the office asked me to drive to their location to pick up the missing items in 2 days. When I was ordering with my wife, we were informed by the salesman that the whole order would be delivered. I did not agree to drive there and the salesman started to make many excuses but finally he informed me that the handles would be delivered by UPS.On week later, on Monday I did not receive the handles so I called the office again. I was put on hold for very long time so I dropped the call and shortly after I received the call from the supplier. I was informed that the supplier maybe send the handles by the end of the week (that is waiting another 5 days) but they would not give me any assurance to the specific delivery date. I asked for money back and they refused it. They told me that I had no written agreement for the handle delivery but they also had no written agreement because they promised the delivery over the phone. First of all the original delivery was not complete to star with.They were coming with many excuses and would not take any responsibility for their mistakes or promises and they were rude. This company is not trustworthy and doesn’t care about the customer at all. I informed them also that my contractors installing the doors are finishing the job in 2 days and I will be without the handle locksets in my whole house and the contractors would not drive to install the handles, to do couple hour job only because they have busy schedule, and the supplier respond was: that is your project, what we have to do with it.
