Very cool place to shop especially for kids clothing and shoes, I like the 3 floor arrangement .Usually start on the 3rd floor and wor, kids my way down I spent 7 hours in this store so dont he in a rush whenever you go. The sales people are courteous and helpful,And try to go on sales and half price days
Was able to find great items at sustainable prices. I’m the third generation from my family to be able to shop here and provide for my family. Thank you!
I found some ugg boots, moccasins and a brand new $80 purse for less than $40. Id say it was worth the trip.
Love the selections available, upset initially that a staff member decided to take my grey cardigan and black scarf out of the cart without checking with us first. ....but after a revisit my items were retrieved. Thanks to Mr. Tracy Robinson, he found my items. I appreciate that he cared. Be mindful of your personal belongings.
Very expensive. At that time, I couldnt find much especially sweat jackets. Not a good day for me. This place is very cramped. Not a good environment due to covid-19. It is hard to walk around with out being to close to other people.
I dont know why they got overpriced for a thrift. We are talking 150$ for 3 ps2 remotes in a bag. Thats pretty terrible that they probably use Ebay to price CHARITABLE DONATIONS
GOOD PRICES AND GOOD DEALS, HOPE FORLOWER PRICES 🙏
I was there today just about every thing in this store is over price I wonder who is making up these prices ?
Its so fun to come here, as a diecast car collector, this is the perfect place for me.
Ive reviewed them before and honest not much has changed since then. I find good bargains and shake my head at the outrageous price of others, being that they know little about some of the brands they sell.I.e. a Boss America pullover sweatshirt should cost like its Hugo Boss because it not Hugo Boss totally different company, the shirts that say boss America were made back in the day by a company named I and G Design. So there was never a reason to charge $40 for it, but I digress.I picked up a White Sox Jersey, vintage Nike merch, art a piece all at really good price so it worth the visit.
My husband and I are at your location in chicago, address in the subject line. Spoke with a manager because an item we were attempting to by had a tag on it with a date so needed her approval to buy it. Cant give you her name because she wouldnt give it to us. She called her worker Francisco, dont know what they talked about because they refused to talk in English. Francisco started to go to the elevator to meet my husband upstairs. My husband was behind him, he told my husband he cant take the elevator but would meet him up there, on the 3rd floor after just coming back down from walking all three flights ot stairs. When wre asked if the male worker who helped us originally could show him, they said yes, then Francisco now wants to walk up the three flights of stairs that he wouldnt walk up with my husband. The manager says sometimes to Francisco in spanish then they both walk off. After standing there for 25 min, they never returned to sale us what we came there for. I feel so discriminated against and disrespected. I would never spend my time and or money in another village discount store. This was my first and last time ever patronizing a store that treat their customers that way.
Prices are sometimes exspensive but Ive found great deals on items. Plus its 3 floors
Messy, staff doesnt really communicate with customers. Its very crowded and hard to shop in. Has a very large variety of clothes. Prices are iffy, some things can be 10+ for no reason. Would be a good place to dig through.
Love shopping here. My theropy!
3 big floors of awesomeness!!! 1st floor, girls, women and jewelry, 2nd floor boys, men and knickknacks i.e. cups, mugs, dvds, records etc. 3rd floor furniture, games, luggage, etc.I highly recommend this thrift store spot!A lot of great things and I have found clothes at great prices and as well as found and put together clothing finds for my childrens Halloween costumes!!This is the SPOT!!!
Clean and very organized!
They are cheapest resale, thrift, they have new all things---
It was ok!
Check this out! Saw a woman put this back, although her kid really wanted it. I figured great, Ill grab it for my niece. Then STICKER SHOCK!!! $16.20 for a used toy doll??? This is the new norm at VDO. Outrageous prices for used donated junk. This is why the stores are less full. This is not thrift prices. This is a ripoff! SHAME ON YOU VDO. This is extreme greed! You will soon price yourselves out of the market! Rightly so! Bring back reasonable prices.
Enjoy going their it 3 floors, 1st clothing women 2 mens house goods, 3 some furniture and game an d toys lots of selections I always find something for me especially in larger sizes which in the back easy to find check it out they also gave half prices on days different colors prices are good. 26 st komesky
Was in there a few minutes ago and I got a picture from the 3rd floor that costed 1.20 cent so when I went downstairs to pay for it the cashier talking about she have to check the price to make sure its right like I earsed the price and added a new price. I didnt earse anything that was the price that was on it.
Great store but they’re closed right now because of the virus and it says open online so don’t go cause it’s closed
Lots of clothes!!! But not so great with other stuff.
I Used to love this location but now they sell Overpriced used clothes. Why pay $4 for a pair of used kids pajamas when you can get a new pair for the same price. Its only worth coming on sale days
A lot of good items. Some stuff is highly priced for a second hand store. But they always have 50% on a lot of items. And everything in the store goes at 50% off for any holiday.
It was an awesome experience, like, literally I got free stuff HAHA, on Tuesday they have an special thing where you can buy one product and get another one free, also they have stuff on half the price and with this you can combine deals. I got a sewing machine that was tagged in $16 for $8, and with this I got an xbox 360 racing wheel that was tagged in $8 for free, also got 2 shirts for 1 dollar, I mean, they were $2 each, but they had the half of discount and the two for one deal. Literally bought a sewing machine, a racing wheel and 2 shirts for $9 (the actual price of a single t-shirt in other second hand stores). The only problem was the chaos on the order of the stuff, besides that everything is cool.
During these unprecedented times great boys to sustain a family
I have come to this thrift locations numerous times but today’s experience was upsetting. One of the workers kept on following me around the store. Every corner I turned, there he was.
Good price. Can get a bunch of clothes for a small price. Can find some great price items. Enjoy my experience here
Best Village Discount Ive been to so far!! Its 3 levels of amazingness. Huge clothes section. and the best rugs. I got a solid wood and steel coffee table for 15$ retail would have been 300.00
Overpriced everything is overpriced.
Hard to find items 😪
I love this place because you can find great quality items for a unbelievable prices. I highly recommend shopping at the Village Discount Outlet Store.
Huge selection of clothing, lackluster electronics and miscellaneous items.Womens clothing selection is good. Well sorted and varied. Mens not so much. Electronics section is very outdated and lacking. Jewelry is ok, not to many items, mostly watches.
Awesome, treasure are always found
I love what I find here every time I go! wish they had fitting rooms, but its all good, so far everything Ive taken has fit me well.
Worst place to shop, just a bunch of random stuff, really disorganized and the place smells bad, I had an item that I really wanted made it all the way to the register for this lady to tell me that it didnt have the store price on it but it clearly had it on the front I didnt feel like arguing with her she told me I could come back the next day so I left Im not coming back when I have to pay for parking, what a big waste of time, very upsetting. I rather shop at goodwill.
I love this thrift store, its my favorite! Ive been going there since my mom would take me as a little girl and I still go now that I moved out of the area . Awesome prices for brand name clothing, simply love it!
This is MY FAVORITE thift store EVER! I find so many treasures and basically my entire closet is from here...well, only my shirts, sweaters, tanks, tops and work tops. This place is awesome. Everything is sorted by color and style.
I first started shopping @ Village Outlet store # 9 back in 2014 up to present date and I have never been disappointed with my visit, like today.I always find what I came for plus some 😊. Never had a bad experience with the personel. The ladies who work there have always been helpful, courteous, moving about keeping merchandise stocked and neat. More cashiers on the main floor would be beneficial.😃Overall,my favorite thrift store. The store is clean, organized, with a wide range of reasonable prices. Everyday there are discounts based on the colors of tags on merchandise( blue, yellow, pink, Sundays, etc) Or 1/2 off, all which is a blessing for many. They have a wide range of merchandise ( clothing ( for the whole family ) shoes, dishes/tea sets, bedding, furniture, etc.), 3 floors to browse and youre sure to find something at a good price. While in the area I occasionally enjoy the Spanish cuisine, sidewalk fruit & vegetables stands in season and appreciate the cultural faire . Also other stores nearby like Walgreens, Currency,Bank, etc. Easy to get to on public transportation.👌👌
I stood in the line, waiting for it to open, then noticed the woman behind the fine goods counter and walked over to be rung up (im talking literally behind the woman she was already helping). A woman and her children literally just stepped directly in front of me, and after I made mention of this, the store clerk continued to take care of the woman. The clerk made eye contact with me twice. I had two small items, this woman had three giant bags of items she found. The clerk called for help and another woman came to ring people up. So I walked over and again, another woman and her children stepped up to the plate. At this point I was becoming even more upset about literally everyone either saying, I dont speak English or just out right ignoring me. It was finally my turn to pay. Usually a five dollar minimum for cards doesnt bother me but I guess I was sort of over being there. The place is disorganized. There were mice and roach traps all over. The furniture was either broken or severely damaged (and therefore over priced), I even found three rugs that literally smelled like urine and had obvious urine stains on them.I wouldnt go back here if you paid me.
Great stuff if you are patient. I bought a painting in 2016 and didnt realize it had a certificate of authenticity. I validated the certificate and worth $$$$.
On the one hand. The items and the price is really good. On the other hand the people who work there are institutionalized scum. The price fell off one of the shirts a bought and the lady wasnt willing to sell it.. The manages also.. I Told her it just fell down and showed her the pricetag but she wouldnt sell.. Store policy my ass !! I hate when people obey the rules just for the rules.. Wont go back there again..
If your ready to dig and find some great treasures...this is your spot! Look everywhere in every section... workers organize...but then customers move stuff.
Great place to shop, and tge price is right. The street vendors have great Mexican food. One bright spot in chicago
Prices ok .clothes in this store seem more used. Employee s not known for there people skill. Spanish is the employees1st language and they AINT trying for employee of month. You Can find medical supplies and old furniture.

I LOVE THIS STORE! I ALWAYS FIND NICE OUTFITS ON MY BUDGET!
Always find great deals especially on half-price days
Pros and cons but good to walk out with a few things
The big book sale here is the greatest thing ever. but be there at opening or you wont really find anything later on throughout the day.
I love the employees, always helping with a big smile, very good deals
Well organized!, love employee gloria great customer service👍
Amazing. Three entire floors of treasures to dig through. Every time I go in here, I end up walking out with more than I intended, hours later.
All managers have a bad attitude, dont know how to give good custumer service. The place stinks and everything is on the floor.
Wow wow nice place.A lot items. You find.Thankyou very much.!!!!
You may find some good buys for low prices.
Fun
It is mostly 8 out of 12 isles womens store fyi
Chicagolands largest thrift store. Its three floors of sometimes awesome stuff ranging from rare books, vintage bikes, furniture, bric-a-brac, toys and clothes. I cant speak to the quality of clothing there, but the non-clothing items are pretty cool depending on when you go. The best day are the 50% off days, and the day after 50% off sales if youre looking to buy books. I dont know if its a case of not enough old people are dying and leaving behind their items or if the hipsters and yuppies gentrifying Pilsen are scoring all the cool stuff, but there hasnt been a lot of quality vintage items lately. Its very much hit or miss if you dont visit regularly. Whereas in the past any day you went you were bound to find something old and really cool to take home for a few days. Still, Id take a chance and visit the showcase and second and third floor.
So much stuff here! Very organized too
Always something to buy
You can found some good stuff here
$90 to shop for a family of 4 is awesome!

Ok, prices are very reasonable
Find stuff alot of clothes for kids shoes
Always great finds for the low
Lots of inventory, great prices, especially for furniture
Huge. Selection but they do not separate sizes appropriately. Most of the mens clothes are on the second floor. U must walk up more than 25 steps. ..
It sucked no one spoke english
Managers attitude way off
The store is extremely dirty with a lot of unhelpful people hope their get their act together but I have been living in this area for 7 years and they have not done so
