Paul was so helpful. We needed a specific leotard, and we needed it quickly. I had just about given up being able to find it, but Paul not only found the item, he sent it to us in two different sizes so we could check the size, and my daughter had it in time for her first class at hew new dance school. Paul and the other person with whom I spoke were beyond helpful and courteous. They truly went out of their way for us! In times that companies are struggling to stay in business and have dedicated employees, Wear Moi in Chicago has proven there are great people out there who are willing to do whatever they can to help! Thank you, all!!

My friend and I just visited this Wear Moi store, and although it was beautiful and had a wide variety of products, we quickly realized that the only size they keep on the floor is S/XS. They have other sizes but theyre downstairs and its clear that theyre not easily accessible. Its 2021 and to have only small sizes on the floor can be very harmful to dancers, especially when you have to directly ask and wait for bigger sizes. The staff was kind and helpful, especially the new young hire, but it was really disappointing to see this kind of body exclusivity in such a big corporations flagship store. Even if they dont want to overcrowd the sales floor with every style in every size and color, there should be an equal number of each size, split up between colors. This is a very simple fix that they could literally make tomorrow. I hope they do.

I needed some Leos quickly for my daughters summer intensive. The online store could not accommodate the order in time. A gentleman named Paul from the Chicago flagship store went above and beyond to be helpful. He very quickly shipped me exactly what I was looking for. He made sure the order went out the same day and had a tracking number for me within hours. The leotards arrived in perfect condition and all of them are gorgeous. I am a big fan of the Wear Moi brand for its quality and durability. My daughter has been in ballet for 10 years and this brand is one of our staples. Her dance studio uses this brand for their uniforms too. I have always had an outstanding customer service experience with them. Thank you so much!

The store is truly outstanding. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and with a keen eye for detail. I am also deeply impressed with the quality of their leotards, warmups, and tights. I have found the quality of construction to be superior to many brands including Yumiko. Wear Moi leotards and tights wear beautifully and last. Any parent of a dancer knows that dance wear is expensive; but I don’t mind spending money on Wear Moi because I know it is worth it.

While we were in the city of Chicago, for my daughter coming for Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensive, we took the opportunity to get her fitted at the Wear Moi Flagship store in Chicago. The store is absolutely beautiful and it was a rare chance to try on the Wear Moi brand of pointe shoes as she had never been in a store that carries them before. I have to say that Paul, who fit my daughter, was one of the most knowledgeable fitter we have encountered and he took over an hour working through technique and tips and encouraging my daughter to work in a different kind of shoe for the overall well being of her feet and injury prevention. She really liked the shoe he fit her in and he was very accommodating and interested to hear back in a few weeks with what she thought about the shoe as it broke in and she wore it in classes. I highly recommend this store.

This is by far one of the best dance stores Ive ever been to. Not only are all of their items gorgeous but they are extremely consistent with their sizing and fit a wide range of dancers. Paul is absolutely amazing and gave me one of the best pointe shoe fittings Ive ever had. Trying to find the right pointe shoes for me has been a process involving 4 years, countless retailers, and about 10 different brands, yet somehow Paul managed to give me the best fit Ive ever had in less than 20 minutes!

My daughter dances at Joffrey. We have been in the store a few times over the last year mostly for ballet shoes and leotards. It has always been a wonderful experience. Paul is knowledgeable and patient. Today we walked in and decided to get fitted for pointe shoes and Paul’s experience and background really served my daughter well. I have always felt very good about my purchases from the store and today I was impressed at the level of service compared to the service at other ballet stores. Hi! I’m Ava, and I’m writing to you today to share the absolutely wonderful experience I had with the Wear Moi Chicago store and specifically Paul Plesh (: I dance at a very high level (I competed in Prix de Lausanne this year and I am now an incoming student to the last year of the Dutch National Ballet Academy), and my go-to shoe for the last 3 years has been Gaynor Minden. Because of the pandemic, GM closed their American factory, and the European shoes just were not the same and did not work for my feet. I actually didn’t even know Wear Moi made pointe shoes—I was recommended them by a teacher of mine. I’ve been in WM flat shoes for a few years now and I love them, so I decided to give the pointe shoes a try since I needed to switch out of GM. Not kidding, the first pair of shoes I tried from WM fit me and I began to work in them immediately. This is where Paul comes in! WM shoes are not commonly sold in the USA (but they should be!)—Paul not only helped me source pairs of pointe shoes to stockpile before school, but he worked with me over FaceTime to create a custom shoe for each of my feet based on the different things I ask of my shoes in class. He was so kind, responsive, and helpful, and the shoes are amazing. I’m so excited to receive the custom pair of shoes WM has so generously decided to take the time to make for me. Thank you WM, and thank you Paul! I’m so grateful to find a shoe that helps me dance my best 💕🤗

Paul was a breathe of fresh air! Being completely new to ballet, Paul took his time to educate me on how to get started. He was patient, personable, and the other staff member was as well! Paul was also incredibly motivating. He knew what it was like to face criticism regarding the perceptions of being a male in ballet. I was nervous at first, but he increased my confidence 100% and made me that much more excited to begin. Will be going back very soon!!

First and foremost, I was very impressed with the customer service I received here. Paul was extremely helpful in rectifying a size/delivery issue we encountered. He was friendly, patient and knowledgeable, even calling me on his own time to update me on the progress of my order. I had a wonderful experience with ordering pointe shoes via email and phone calls with Paul. My daughter absolutely loves her shoes and I would not ordinarily be brave enough to do this without an in person fitting. The first pair was a bit snug so I returned them and the second order arrived shortly after with two pairs of perfectly fitting shoes.The refund on my first order was quick and all of my interactions were polite, friendly and professional. I love wear moi products. The leotards are so well made that after 6 and 7 years of wearing you never see a rip or tear. It is still your go to leotard. The staff here is amazing and sooo helpful!! I highly recommend this brand and this store!!

What an incredible dance store! The store itself is beautiful, and the dancewear, especially the leotards, absolutely gorgeous. We purchased several leotards, including three Faustine leotards as a uniform, and a lace leotard to wear for “casual” Fridays. The fabric on these leotards is high quality, molds beautifully and is comfortable to dance in. The fit and design are clearly made to show off the lines of the dancer and very flattering. My daughter was expertly fitted by the sales director, Paul, for their brand of dance shoes, La Pointe. It was a pleasure to have a former professional dancer with years of pointe shoe expertise to fit her as she has very high arches and it has been difficult to find the perfect shoe. Some of the shoes are customizable, vamp, shank, etc... The shoes seemed to fit her beautifully, but she has yet to dance in them. This is a store for dancers, with dancers’ needs in mind, and operated by former professional dancers. Can’t ask for more.

We just had the most amazing experience shopping this establishment. My daughter dances for CAA, Ballet Chicago, Joffrey, and last but not least, CMDC with the amazing Homer Bryant for privates. First off the store is absolutely beautiful and is very organized and well stocked. The service was second to none and the fitting was the best we’ve had; Paul has been fitting shoes for over 35years and boy did it show! He really knows his stuff!! We usually shop Motions and was sad that we had to venture out to find a new shop. We Googled and Wear Moi was one of the few dance stores open during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This trip up north this eve has truly been the silver lining. We had a chance to meet the owner Christopher and he even used me and my two daughter’s skin tones (three different shades of brown) to confirm that he was making the correct decision on the skin tone line of shoes and body garments that will soon be available in the store and online. For those that are not familiar with the brand, it’s a French brand and is very popular in Europe. This is their Flagship store in the UNITED STATES yes right here in Chicago. I can’t say enough about the quality and beauty of their products. They make their own shoes so if you need to special/custom order you will have them in hand in as little as 2-3weeks!! We’ve found our new home for all my daughter’s ballet needs! Take the drive north and check them out, you will not be disappointed!Debra

Paul Plesh was absolutely wonderful to fit my demi pointe shoes to perfection. It was done long distance since they are closed to the public, and with only 2 attempts he made a perfect fit. I have difficult feet at age 69, so his kindness was very appreciated. Dont be afraid to buy online through hi.

What an incredible visit to the Wear Moi Chicago store on Broadway! My daughter and I were greeted with such pleasure. The lady who waited on us found the exact leotards we needed and took care of ordering others with such cheerful, efficient disposition. To our surprise, we were then greeted by Paul Plesh, a professional pointe shoe fitter, who gave my teenage daughter the BEST fitting she has ever had in the past years of all her pointe shoe fittings. Almost made us both cry. He was extremely knowledgeable, incredibly fast, and highly confident. We knew immediately that Paul was an EXPERT! He spoke to my daughter with such attention to her needs and gave her and I wonderful information. After all these years of ballet, my daughter said, “This is the BEST pointe shoe I have EVER worn!” She came home and said it is her first pair---after owning over a dozen different brands/styles AND visiting numerous famous other stores for fittings--- that truly fits her and she knows how it should actually fit! I am extremely grateful to Paul Plesh for treating us with such special attention, and helping my daughter to see promise in her new pointe shoes!!!
