I dont even know where to begin. This is a group of Miracle workers!I called them with only 2 days to turn around a VEGAN & GLUTEN FREE custom Blueberry Cream birthday cake for me. Even though this wasnt an option on their menu, they were confident they could do this for me and in my extremely short time frame. I was skeptical. It was all just too easy. And at the right price! The value was great.I told Megan it was my birthday and that I wanted it to look pretty but that I wouldnt have the first clue how.There were so many add on options for a fee but I didnt ask for any bc I wasnt sure how it would look.To my (pleasant) surprise, when they delivered the cake ON TIME, she had given me a complimentary upgrade in design - it was pretty obvious! And I was in love.But then it was finally time to cut the cake. I was nervous - vegan and gluten free; and its PRETTY?! Hmmm... How will it taste though???DECADENT! Thats how! Extremely moist. Not too sweet. You could taste the freshness of the blueberries. It was absolutely the best cake I have EVER had!The cake feeds 15. I only had 6 people over and I only had 2 slices left over to freeze that night.Do yourself a favor and PLACE AN ORDER!!!!

The red velvet topping was awesome. The cake itself was ok. With the taste of the topping I hoped the cheese would be awesome, but it was just ok. I also has an espresso and that was good. This is a place I would go to again if I were near it. Hopefully the others cupcakes are good as well.

Absolutely amazing customer service and delicious smores! Such a fun concept to roast your own smores at the table. We were lucky enough to arrive as a batch of cookies was being prepared and after cooling, these delightful smores assemblage was brought to our table and the roasting began. The results were amazing, gooey, melty, delicious and so satisfying. I had a salted caramel marshmallow with the chocolate chip cookie sandwich and it was incredible! The folks working here were incredibly friendly, informative and fun. Cant wait for our next visit!

The girl who took and delivered my order was so nice and helpful the cupcakes however, were absolutely phenomenal, I ordered strawberry and butter cream cupcakes for my 18th and they were some of the best cupcakes I’ve ever had. It was a pleasure working with Monica. We searched long and hard for someone that could make a pancake cake and she was up for the challenge. It turned out perfectly. Everyone commented how they had never seen anything like it before. And it tasted as good as it looked! Thank you!!

This was my first time ordering a custom cake. The employee who took my order was really nice and helpful. I explained that there was a certain image I wanted and a quote. The employee explained that the two character images would be printed out. I explained how the images and the quote were from a certain scene in a tv show. Everything seemed to be going great. The day the cake was delivered I was left disappointed. The quote I wanted was there and the decoration looked great. However, the images printed out were nothing like the ones from the image I had sent the employee in the first place. All they had to do was print it out and so I have no idea why they couldn’t print out the ones I provided or at least something similar. To make matters worse the taste of the cake left something to be desired. However, what I cared more about was the two character images. This is the last time I order a custom cake. The ideas on paper and communication was good, it was just poorly executed.

This was a last minute order and they were great. They were delivered within 24 hours, on time and they were delicious.

In october of 2017, they did a rush order( 3 days) for my grandmother -in-law 80th bday party. The cake was amazing, everyone loved it. I am going to have them do a cake for my grandmothers 70th. I am giving them more time so, I expect this cake to be spectacular.

Thought I would give this place a try since I usually go with Mollys bakery. The ordering process was easy enough and everything looked great. Until I received a text message from them telling me that they had overbooked for the day and would be unable to deliver my order today, mind you they didnt notify my until nearly 2:30 in the afternoon making finding another place to deliver today impossible. The cupcakes were for my mother in laws birthday and now she will be getting nothing at all. I called and spoke with someone there I believe her name was Monica she was unapologetic and did not offer any solution to me to fix the problem. So they may make a great cupcake, but I will never be able to attest to that as their customer service leaves a lot to be desired and I will do my very best to spread the word!

Skinny Piggy is truly a gem in Chicago. We had ordered cupcakes for an event with our logo and everyone loved how delicious they were. They even brought a set up for Hot Chocolate and smores. They have a great team and made the event even more wonderful. We are now going to order for our grand opening. Definitely recommend Skinny Piggy.

I just loved this place, i had ordered customized cupcakes for some1spcls birthday. He was so surprised to have recieved batman logo and his his fav University design. Try their popular mix flavours, i i spclly loved the evil twin cheese cake cupcake. Best one in Chicago. I spoke with Monica at Skinny piggy, she helped me in deciding which flavour is the best and promised me to get it delivered on time. Ordered 6 Tres Leches Cupcakes and 6 Honey Lavender cupcakes for the wifes birthday and we were blown away! The tres leches cupcakes had a perfect consistentcy and a flavor that reminded me of childhood birthday cakes. The Honey Lavender ones were out of this world as well

The cupcakes were amazing, so good. But I had scheduled my delivery for 1pm (I teach courses from 10-11 and 12-1), and the delivery driver called during my 10am class. When I returned his call at 11, he said he had things to do and wanted to know if he could deliver them at noon. I told him I wouldnt be available. At 1:20, I still had not received the delivery and had to call. They got another driver to bring it to me straightaway, but It was not the smooth and convenient delivery process that I paid $8 extra for.

We used Skinny Piggy for our wedding cake and were thrilled with Monicas cake! It was a beautiful three tiered naked cake (lemon - yum!), and the guests raved about it. We also had their smores at the wedding which were a big hit! The pig face marshmallows are so cute. We love Skinny Piggys cake so much, that even before the wedding my husband got the wedding shower cake from them, too! Monica is also wonderful to work with, very professional, nice, and runs a great business. Shes responsive, makes delicious and beautiful cakes, and definitely nailed it for us on our big day. I will order all my cakes from her!

I love this place! Their cupcakes are absolutely addicting. My personal favorite is the Everything Nice cupcake. Its covered in cinnamon sugar and has a creamy nutella center. Mini cupcakes are available. Skinny Piggy caters and is implementing a delivery service as well.

We came in for a family get-together and were very disappointed. We have a Chicagos Best night and saw the advertisement for the Smores offered at the bakery. We had every intention of getting coffee and two platters for 6-8 people that came from all around the area. What a waste.When we arrived at 4pm, nobody was at the register or in the front to greet us. We stood around for a solid few minutes before someone helped us. When we were helped, the employee told us they were out of Smores and making more at the time. We were told they werent set yet. Its 4pm, remember, and they close at 6pm. We made our minor complaints, but the employee was unhelpful and generally unapologetic. She shrugged and said sorry, for not having their most advertised item.They was very little in terms of an apology or helpful advice. I asked how long it would take to set and got no answer from the girl at the store, meaning they had none and lied to us. I asked that question 2 times and never got an answer... Sure thing.This place was an unfortunate waste of time for a family outing. I hope others dont make the same mistake on their own Saturday afternoon.Edit: after hearing from management I felt that I could understand bad timing and an unfortunate event. That said, I still have trouble wrapping my head around a bakery, with an item that takes time to set, not being more proactive with those items. They may have been busy before we came in but we were the only patrons in the store for over 20 minutes and nobody came in during our visit but us.Ive improved the rating thanks to the reply, but I still think that thought needs to be put into having items available (we would have been happy to have 1 tray and other items) versus totally unavailable.

The cupcakes are amazing and they have great customer service. They have many options in desert and instead of handing out menus they have a really big one on a wall. They also let you design your own cupcake and they make cakes. There cookies are hand made instead of shipped and made in factories. I give it five stars. Also hi Madrina uwu

Went there today thinking we could try a s’mores or a cookie ice cream bowl. Apparently they don’t sell any s’mores during the week and even though it was 12 and they apparently opened at 10 they said the ice cream wouldn’t be ready for 30-45 min. Was super bummed. Tried the cupcakes and they were pretty good but really wasn’t what I wanted. Overall a pretty disappointing visit.

We were excited to visit the Skinny Piggy, however their website and the sign on the door wasnt accurate apparently. They said the store opened at 10:00. We got there at 10, we stayed until 10:15 and the store still wasnt open so we ended up leaving. Thats awful business. Dont say youre going to be open if youre not.
