We happened upon this place because we noticed open street parking, during rush hour. So we decided to give it a try. What a fortuitous decision! The cookies here are very delicious and served to you fresh and warm. I decided to go for the ice cream sandwich which was a winner! They had a special offer for teachers and my wife was able to get a small box of cookies for free. The customer service was friendly and there was ample space to sit and have a quick snack, when the pandemic precautions are ceased. As I mentioned, there is street parking available by paid meter. Recommended.

Quick customer service which I love especially with covid, staff is friendly, place is clean seems well sanitized, they follow max capacity rules which I also love. cookies are priced moderate spent 30+ for these gems. 🍪🍪🤩 they taste amazing too and want to add they also have gluten free/vegan cookies which again I love ❤ they also put them in an individual bag 🎒 I there kept separate from the rest of the cookies im guessing to avoid cross contamination. (thank you for that) 👍💆‍♀️🤩 its hard to find a good cookie now a days so I honestly run 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ here when Im having a craving cant wait to try the cookiewich. lastly the cookies are huge!! love the packaging and logo 😍 too!.

I wish I could say I love their cookies but over and over and over and over they take the order, we wait at home for more than two hours and THEN they cancel the order. This has happened at least 4 times. I keep trying again but it is ridiculous. All they would have to do is cancel the order quicker so I had other options but they are not organized enough for that l supposed.Don’t wast your time. Get another desert. As a business they are horrible.

Great name for a place that stays open later than most places like it’s kind. Many different cookie and ice cream choices. You can even make an ide cream sandwich with cookies of your choose or choose frosting between your two favorite cookies. Everything looked delicious which made my decision so hard. Cookies are baked fresh. Makes a great late night snack stop!

2020 has been tough enough - LP insomnia doesn’t update tracker and the cookies have been coming after an hour and cold... lacking - not the same, did the manager get a new job?

My boyfriend and I placed an order for a 6 pack at about 10:30 on a Saturday. The GrubHub app told us it would arrive at about 11:25. When we still hadn’t received the order, we call at 11:45 and asked about the status of our order. The number takes you then to a call center, and they had a terrible time even trying to identify which location I was referring to, let alone the order itself. Now, it is has been over 3 hours since we placed the order and over 2 hours late. I called a second time, and they informed me the order was done but they were waiting on a driver. We were only offered a coupon for 3 free cookies with the purchase of another 6 pack. At this point, we should’ve been offered a refund AND after 6 pack for a future order. Poor response, poor customer service, and clearly completely mismanaged and unable to anticipate volume and frequency of orders for staffing purposes. Too bad this is the one we live a 15 minute walk from, we should’ve just walked.***Update: received the order FOUR HOURS LATER and did not receive the correct cookies and they were no longer warm. Order was placed at 10:20pm or so, we received the order at 2:15am.

The service of this location is absolutely atrocious. We ordered 2 cookie ice cream sandwiches at 10:25pm & after over an hour of waiting, the delivery guy gives us 4 cookies with no ice cream. We then proceeded to tell him that we were missing a part of our order, he said, “I’ll be right back with it”. At no surprise, he never returned. Calling both the store and customer service was no help either. The “manager” tried to tell us several times that the ice cream was in the order when it clearly wasn’t. After a few more calls, they had the audacity to offer us 25% off our next order. What’s that, $4??? We paid $20 for 4 mediocre cookies without the ice cream that was supposed to be included. It’s funny that they think we’ll ever order from them again. Pathetic.

Whats not to like about milk and cookies after a night out? Nothing...the answer is nothing. I love these places - its such an ingenious concept. You can get warm cookies delivered late at night. (this place til 3) If youre feeling really ambitious you can get ice cream sandwiched in between 2 cookies.

Ive had insomnia cookies in other places like NYC, but usually not fresh/warm. Overall they are good cookies with flavor that is not too sweet or overdone. The flavors are simple and you cant go wrong with any of them. My personal favorite is the original with M&Ms. I got a six pack for about $10, which is a little overpriced, but its good for trying a selection of cookies. A few other good ones are double chocolate chunk and double chocolate mint. Eat them when they are warm and itll taste really great.It was later at night when I went, so it was mostly empty and I got my cookies pretty fast. The cashier was nice and friendly. Unfortunately, they were out of stickers when I went. The place is small but has a nice ambience. Definitely great place for a late snack.

Customer service tried to be helpful, however this store only had one delivery employee on a bike on a Saturday! My 45 minute order still had not even left the store after an hour and a half exactly. Two calls later I finally had to cancel my order after waiting until 4AM. At minimum, there should’ve been multiple delivery people on a weekend and definitely use a vehicle instead of a bike...in the winter.

I am beyond disappointed with my last order. (Which I still have no received). I placed my order of FOUR cookies and TWO milks at 9:31 pm, called at 10:18 pm because the tracking was down which is understandable. They said the driver is 5-10 minutes away and would be here shortly. We then called again at 10:49 pm because there was still no update. We live 4 minutes away, so there is absolutely no reason why it should take 2+ hours for four cookies and 2 milks. Called yet again, at 11:15 pm and the woman was not helpful what so ever and said all they know is the cookies are not in store and are out for delivery. It is now 11:40 and we have not received our cookies or a phone call. Highly recommend another location!!!!

Insomnia cookies is a nice place if come in groups of 4 or 5 but not more. I mean that is if you want to stay and enjoy your experience at the store. They are more than capable of providing food. And they also have a very nice staff. They serve to my knowledge icecream, cookies, cookie cakes, milk and beverages. They do deliveries and they also stay open late.So its nice. The food is also good.

My mans last night had no room for customer service in his schedule, we were the only guests in the restaurant and he waited until we were ready to order to say hold on and tended to something else. Also, why were you out of every flavor cookie and iced cream we wanted? Oh well. The kicker is the milk I ordered was expired. This isnt the gooey hot insomnia cookies I remember from my undergrad in Florida, this place is something else.

Alas, Ive only been when Im stark raving sober and completely able to get whatever food Id like. At any rate, theres limited seating inside so ya gotta time your visit. Parking in the area is a nightmare, so youre better off walking. The cookies are pretty good, so its definitely worth a try. My recommendation is the chocolate chunk cookie.

Took over an hour and a half and a phone call to deliver my order. Magically appear at my door when after I called customer service and they called the store. The tone switched to suddenly it was my fault. The phone number that I hadn’t touched because it hadn’t changed from the last time I order (which the driver has no issues reaching me). This was the same phone that I was using to call to customer service. Horrible service from top to bottom.

I heard a lot about them, but my experience was just okay, coz i feel like the content of sugar was little extra, in their cookies,specially in chocolate chips cookies,there should be little bitterness into it so that you know you are eating chocolate

My favorite part has to be that they always serve the cookies hot by keeping them in a warmer. Okay, so the service can be a bit hit and miss at any food establishment and Insomnia is no exception (I think its kind of dumb that people would go there once and give them a bad review based on one experience but thats just me...). That said, the shop is cozy and the cookies are delicious! Ive gone in there with preschoolers and they loved it! There are a few seats that are rarely all taken so we usually sit down for ice cream before taking our cookies home.

Very good cookies, and they made my mother-in-law happy by giving her one extra. She said the guy was hitting on her. Um, yeah. I didnt like the ice cream, though. It was very whipped and not rich.

Seriously, this place has some of the best cookies Ive ever had. Not to mention the had great ice cream and tons of variety. That said, I got it delivered, so I have no clue what the actual place is like. I was skeptical of the prices, but once I got my order (at 1:30 on a Wednesday night (Thursday morning?) I was very happy with it. The cookies are pretty big and baked to perfection and they have a generous amount of ice cream too. I highly recommend (especially if you are looking to satisfy a sweets craving late night during finals week).

The staff person that was working there today was not customer service friendly. We were almost treated as though we were disturbing him while he took a break. When the four of us, coming from church, walked in, he was eating his lunch in the Window.Insomnia is the perfect name for this place. You would either have to be half sleep or have the munchies from from smoking weed to come there, but there are those that like this joint. 🤨

These are the most delicious cookies ever! By the time they deliver them to you, it feels like they just came out of the oven. The gooeyness of Chocolate Chunks and Sugar cookies makes my stomach want more (and more and more)! I think this is the best cookies ever!

Cookies and brownies were ok, nothing special as stated by others. They only had one person working the counter. He was a hard working young man but it seemed like he was the only one working. He was handling all phone calls, delivery orders and counter orders. The line kept growing and he could not keep up with the demand. Management should really considering putting two people upfront to streamline the ordering process. Oh and why is the ice cream scoop 5 steps behind the ice cream parlor? Poor guy working there looked like a mad mad going back and fort every time he needed to scoop ice cream. Just a bad design from whom ever built the joint. Again nothing against the gentleman working the counter he did his best. Super slow service

The cookies were fabulous....and to die for....but the customer service was subpar to say the least....a smile and a simple greeting will go a long way....I ordered probably every cookie and a cookie sandwich just to have a sampling...and all were phenomenal....especially the lemon macadamia nut cookie!!!

Dude there is a man here who is an employee just sleeping in the front. He smells so damn bad! How is this ok in a food establishment?!?! This man obviously works here as he spoke to the guy at the front counter about his shift starting late tonight. So bad!!! The cookies dont taste as good knowing your staff allows this to happen. Are my cookies old? With the staff being so unprofessional how can I assure they even wash their hands? Never buying cookies from here again. I have uploaded a picture just to prove my point. The guy is just sleeping there with a sleeping bag and smelling like yesterdays cooked cabbage.

I literally waited 3 hours for a delivery. Not sure if I should blame them or Grubhub. Well I Waited 2 hours before I started calling. Grubhub places me on hold and in the meantime as Im holding a number texts me advising me to just cancel my order. Saying that they were slow and he had 10 other deliveries. Very frustrating experience. The mystery person who never mentioned who they were was unprofessional and odd. I know technology has advanced, however I think we still deserve common customer care. Needless to say to put the icing on the cookie. My order was completely wrong also. Worst experience ever.

I didn’t talk much with the owner of this location but I feel like I have to write a review. My husband and I recently planned our wedding in three weeks and neither of us are big cake people. We put in a huge order at Insomnia Cookies Lincoln Park and needed them ready by 11am (aka, the time they open). Luckily, when I placed the order, the manager agreed to have someone come in a bit early to make the 125 cookies and ensure they were ready to go right at 11. I had a friend pick them up and all went as smooth as planned. The cookies were a HUGE hit at the wedding, all of our Chicago friends could appreciate some Insomnia cookies but our Wisconsin family was overjoyed with the delicious and warm cookies.
