I had a wonderful experience at this vision works location. I have been to other vision works locations in Chicago, and this location has a very high level of customer service and care. The optometrist, Dr. Allen, was extremely informative and took her time with my appointment despite it being her last of the day. She is very skilled at explaining the process of the exam as well as the prescription. The staff working in the front of the store are also extremely helpful, patient, and kind! I would highly recommend this location.

The staff here in my three interactions has been awesome. The cost for my contacts was acceptably low, the discount on a pair of glasses that werent covered by insurance was much-appreciated, and each visit was super pleasant. The optometrist who did my eye exam was thorough and patient. I recommend this place if you need glasses, contacts, or having a stranger stare deeply in your eyes (an eye exam).

Location FULLY books appointment so if you are a couple minutes late the will turn you away.

Edit: they reached out and all my problems were fixedVery upset with the customer service at the store. I went in to replace my frames for my lenses and the employees took an hour to put the lenses in the frame. When I got home, part of the frame was chipped off (by the nose area). I spoke to an employee on the phone who said she was going to place a new order for another frame and it has been over a month with no status update. On the Visionworks website, it said the order was never placed. I tried calling the store multiple times only to be put on hold (and never answered) and a full voicemail.

I went to this location to purchase glasses. The optometrist Karynn Allen checked my eyes and said my eyes looked suspicious and I could have a glaucoma and said it is an emergency. So went to my doctor he said everything ok. Dr. Allen was not professional and had unpleasant personality. She is not knowledgeable. So come to this place just for glasses. I have one star just because of the staff. They are great.

Poor service, poor communication. When I came in for my appointment, I was shouted at from across the room when checking in. I was ushered from seat to seat without much instruction after my glasses were off and I couldnt see. Doctor spent all of 5 minutes with me and didnt discuss my options with me at all, just sent me off to talk to someone who had no idea what my insurance coverage was. I asked to have my contact shipped to my house and then was told they forgot to make a note of that (I had repeated my address to the person making the order for me) so I had to come back in to pick it up only to be condescended to about my order (was told I was ordering for a year, turns out they made the order for 6 months). I do not recommend this location. Improve your customer service.

This is the only place that I usually can find glasses that I really like.

I have been coming to Visionworks for about 5 years, they have always been great. But this past visit they exceeded customer service by allowing me to replace a new pair that just didnt work for me. Very happy with the service and my new glasses.

The doctor was nice and helpful and the staff was ok but I placed an order on Saturday and just found out that they didnt even put the order in until today. 5 days later. It annoyed me because I am without glasses and now I have to wait longer for glasses that I desperately need. My vision is horrible.

I am very upset at how this place functions. I went in for an eye exam on 12/03/2020 and wanted to place an order for eyeglasses that I fell in love with at the store. The store associate, Sara Garcia, mentioned something regarding “inventory” and that she would call me a week later in order to place my order for the eyeglasses that I wanted. I am not sure what happened, but its 12/29/2020 and I never received that call. I’ve been trying to call the store for weeks on end but the store associates keep sending me to voicemail and the mail box is full, so I can’t even leave a voicemail on top of not being able to reach anyone at the store.If the eyeglasses are out of stock or if the store no longer sells them, then I understand, but Sara should have contacted me with an update and not left me hanging like this. We’re in the middle of a pandemic and I’ve been traveling for work and didn’t want to go to the store and put everyone at risk. I am conflicted at the moment and the only solution is for me to visit the store and I guess Im going to have to take the risk.THE LEAST you could’ve done is cleared the mail box.

I posted a negative review a week ago. I needed bifocals but didn’t realized it at the time. I went back to ask for progressive lenses and they said it was going to cost me an additional $300. After posting the review I was contacted by Jordan who assisted me. He was very helpful and patient. They did provide me with progressive lenses. I appreciate them following up with me to make sure I was taken care of.

Went there to get myglasses. Love their service. I like that they kept up with keeping the place clean. I also noticed how they kept their calm when there was a very rude costumer that was basically instulting them. The staff is very good and profesional i recomend going their, but MAKE AND APPOINTMENT you wont be seen without one.(wich is understandable)

Went in last weekend to the Vison Works by Six Corners and I just have to say the customer service was awesome! I just wanted to share how amazing their customer service was, from the moment I walked in to helping me choose frames and explaining everything to me. I have a pretty high prescription and it usually takes close to 2 weeks to get eyeglasses back. I went in on a Sunday and by the following Saturday I was wearing them already! Quick service and I’m so happy with my overall experience. Jordan was the name of the guy who took care of me, who also happens to be the General Manager come to find out. I highly recommend them! Pretty good experience. Staff was very informative and efficient. The employee that was helping me laid out my options and explained them well without being pushy. Doc was excellent. I was in and out in under 45 minutes which is rare for eye stores.

Very friendly and welcoming environment. The sales associate who helped us, Violetta, was very knowledgeable and it was very evident that she wanted to help us get the best deal possible. She made our experience pleasant as she was able to make our daughter excited for her visit even though shes usually very anxious about her visits. She took the time to explain everything to us in a timely manner as well and helped us get a great deal right on time for back to school.

Best vision center ever. I brook my glasses and the coast for them was over $350, I did not have any insurance for them they just replace them for me for no coast. The gentleman who helped me was so nice and helpful.He put my broken glasses together until I have the new one. I recommend the vision work at six corners or my friend and family .

I had a very good experience at this location. The Dr did very well with my son and I. She even told me information I didnt even know. The nurses did a great job explaining the pricing and everything to me. And they did great with assisting my son on finding frames.

I almost didnt go here because of the bad reviews(1 stars) on Google.. After seeing they were from awhile ago, I decided to give this Visionworks location a shot (my co-worker highly recommended the staff here).Dr. Lee was incredibly good-She perfected my eye prescription right after 3 minutes?!? Jackie was awesome at breaking down my insurance details, and which option offered more bang for my buck. Everyone one else here was friendly, patient, and professional!Their rating wasnt a true representation of how my experience was, so I felt obliged to set the record straight. Highly recommend!

Jordan was amazingly fast replaced my old frames with a new one and did it under 5 mins they also gave me 25 percent off on the new frames :)

My experience here was awesome. The young lady with the colored hair(If you see this sorry, I didn’t catch your name lol) went above and beyond to hook me up with a set of training contacts for a week while my appointment is set on my day off. I would recommend this place without a doubt :)

On Saturday, I stopped my mother in for her glasses to be repaired. The friendly staff, greeted us with smiles and quickly attended to why we were there. They were kind, quick, efficient and friendly. Very nice experience. Hilary the store manager was exceptionally great. Thank you.

Jordan, was very helpful. He went way above and beyond for me, he managed to make a change on my refund. At first I had purchased contacts due to me trying out the spare they had given I was experiencing my contact disengaging off my eye due to my astigmatism,. Mind you with work and my busy life style I havent had the chance to come a pick out contacts, I come in today, forgetting about the contacts right after the rubber of my glasses just came off, I went to this vision works and just remembered that after several months of not receiving a refund. I came to the store and thanks to Jordan not only did he fix the rubber of my glasses for free but he was able to get me into a newer pair of glasses, out of the money I had previously paid for the contacts.

Another one of our vision insurance listed this place so it prompted me to copy my Yelp review onto here. And I still wont be going back there...Awful service and would not recommend.Mid December 2012 we dropped off my dads broken eyeglasses for repair, near end of January we couldnt wait any longer so we came in to ask. They made me wait more than 30 minutes just to tell me that the frame they ordered is small for the lens and that they will have to order again. Part of the wait was because they were having problems trying to find the glasses they just put aside in the backroom.Come February I called and was on hold for more than 10 minutes and the silly thing is that they never asked for whom the pickup was for, called again to wait probably another 5 minutes. Answer was Glasses will be done in around 7 minutes. We gave them about 20-25 minutes, and when we arrived they were just about to put the lens in and that took about 10 minutes.I think the best thing you can have done is an eye exam at any of these optical centers because deals they offer is just to lure you in, but when everything is summed up it will be about triple the amount. Just order glasses online, their cheaper and they definitely came faster than what we experienced at this place.

I came here because the glasses I had - the AR glare stuff was peeling off which was highly annoying. So, Im going to see if this place does a better job & that these new glasses last longer. I didnt have an appointment but didnt wait long. I had a pleasant experience plus my glasses were ready 2 days earlier than expected & they called me as soon as they were ready.

Went to this location today to get my glasses tightened. The service was absolutely outstanding. Jordan and Allison were quick to help and very professional. I will be back when Im due for new glasses.

This is the BEST experience I have ever had at an eyewear store in 33 years. The sales associates were very professional, intelligible, warm, AND friendly. Not only did they present me every option possible but their service was FAST. The doctor was highly knowledgeable, skilled, friendly, and walked me through the eye exam with great precision. I even got a quick lesson on the vision numbering system as they guided me through the exam in a VERY professional manner. Though I dont speak Spanish, I was impressed that the sales associates were able to speak Spanish fluently to the Spanish speaking customers, yet still switch back to speak English to the English for the English speaking customers. I NEVER do reviews or surveys for ANY BUSINESS, but I was so blown away and caught off guard by how great the service was that I personally inquired about how to leave a comment that would highlight how great the service at this establishment is. I pray that God will bless everyone here at this establishment and prosper them greatly in Jesuss name!

In Jan. 2018, I went to get my eyes checked due to having problems with my current eyeglasses. I knew I was in need of bifocals, but after a bad experience somewhere else, I refused to try wearing bifocals again. But when I went to visionworks, I was encouraged by the doctor to give it a try, if I didnt like it I can always go back to single vision. After taking doctors advice, I was completely satisfied. I was so satisfied that I returned to get 2 more pairs, different styles. Customer service was great and the prices were reasonable. Thanks to visionesworks on 4100 N. Cicero Ave., Store Manager Jordan and his staff. Great service. Definitely recommend.

The service was very bad from the girls who worked in the front. No smiles at all and sometimes they were rude and dismissive to us. The red head female optometrist was VERY NICE ...its a shame she doesnt have a better crew to work with. I have been with them for one year and I dont see myself going back there again.You can go ANYWHERE for glasses and contact lens in Chicago so they should at least give some service with a smile.P.S The phone number they have listed on line is OUT OF DATE. so good luck trying to call them

Immediately upon coming in i was explained all the details of the 2 for 1 special they had, with very little effort on my part, the nurse explained the finer details and the so-called fine print of the deal. She then helped me make an appointment for the next day.Upon coming in she started my check-in right away, constantly checking to make sure i was comfortable and everything was calibrated, and making sure to warn me about the startling air-puff machine.After the doctor did the eye exam she allowed me to pick out my frames while other customers continued to come in (they can be pretty busy at this time of day). Finally she explained the bill and the pros and cons of the standard versus the poly-carbonate lenses. To her credit she did not push the issue of the lens upgrade ( which for 2 glasses would be $80, when the total bill was supposed to be only $70 for both frames AND lenses). Although thinner lenses do always look better, especially since my vision was very poor, i did feel like she was looking out for me by suggesting the upgrade.Finally, after the fitting and measuring, she informed me that 1 pair of lenses was in stock so i would be able to get my 1st glasses in about an hour. This was fantastic since i had work in several hours and my glasses were not fitting right, scratched, and broken in 4 places.Both the deal and the selection were very reasonable and their services was quick and professional. The nurse ( Miss Violet), was one of the nicer people i have yet to meet while the doctor paralleled this by being very blunt and to the point, clearly stating all the facts i needed to make my purchase. She also gave the the best new i could ever have expected, that in apx. 5 years my vision, although quite poor, remained unchanged.By far the best location and experience i have yet to have in any medical setting.

Overall they didnt know what they are doing gave me the wrong information wrong pair of glasses and their staff really needs to be trained on customer service and professionalism dont go here if you really want a good pair of glasses cause they dont know what they are doing from the manager to the rest of the staff they say buy one get one free its all a lie they will charge you double believe me they dont care about their customers they only care about how much they can take from you shop around other places before you come in here and you will see the difference

Showed up early to an appointment only to be helped 25 min later my scheduled appointment time... People who came late got helped first. Had to get pupils dilated and wait another 20 minutes... Could have taken care of that wait it they had served us on TIME. Thats the point of an APPOINTMENT some people have to get to work on time.. Horrible service.

My husband & I went in with an outside prescription & did not recieve the help we needed. Service seemed unprofessional & unhelpful. The ladies in front laughed out loud the entire time & not once asked if we needed help. Once we asked for help, they seemed confused & indecisive. We went to a different location.
