Unfortunately my pair of prescription ray-ban have seen better days, and after my normal glasses place couldnt help, Custom Eyes came up as a place that might be able to help with the repair. Went to the shop yesterday evening and was warmly greeted by the owner and his assistant. I explained the issues, probable broken spring in the arm hinge and a lens that had popped out the day before. The owner was very knowledgeable about what could be done (unfortunately nothing for the arm) and he took a couple mins to pop the lens back into place. He even took a min to point out where the hinge screws were starting to corrode. And the best part, when I asked him how much for the repair job, he waived me off and said no charge.Was really nice to get such warm and friendly service somewhere that Id never been before and wasnt going to immediately buy something from. So kudos to Custom Eyes and will definitely keep them in mind when I need a new pair of glasses.

I cannot say enough about my experience at Contacts and Specs. From the eye exam itself and the information I received both during and after the procedure through the selection of new frames for glasses and sunglasses - every step was professional, approachable, informative and creative. A special nod to the extremely knowledgeable Jimmy and the uber creative Ariella for patiently walking me through the many gorgeous frame choices. They truly made it a one of a kind experience and I walked away feeling like I found frames that truly suited my style and personality in every way - not once did I feel sold to or that I was talked into something I wasnt comfortable with - I am thrilled with my choices and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a personal, one on one, bespoke experience.

I wear both contacts and glasses, and I have patronized Contacts and Specs for over 15 years (even though I moved out of the neighborhood many moons ago). I have always received a thorough exam no matter the optometrist, and every optician I have had has been off-the-charts talented when it comes to choosing frames for me. Sometimes I have had an idea of what I was looking for and sometimes I have had no idea, and either way I have left with phenomenal frames. Just purchased my latest glasses (two pair, Eric picked them out) and I cannot wait to pick them up!

Nice store, great selection of glasses and sunglasses. BAD service! I live in the neighborhood and walk by the store everyday, always impress by the display and the sunglasses they have. Today, I decided to stop by for the first time and try a nice pair of red sunglasses they have in the display (front window), it is sunny, hot and humid and obviously I was a little sweaty. The sales representative noticed i was a little sweaty and immediately took the glasses out of my hands and tried to show me some other sunglasses I had no interested in purchase. He was so obvious, went to the counter, grabbed a piece of lens cloth, spay the sunglasses with water and clean them in front of me ( i got the point) and right away walked out of the store. BRAVO! Thats the service Contacts and Specs provide to the customer?
