Great experience! They have a parking lot below there office and offer validation if you are selling with them, making it incredibly easy to get in and out. Scheduled an appointment, was introduced to my consultant on time, them give a moment to consider the officer. Everything took less than 50min!

I had shipped my literally brand new $2200 YSL bag in to them not for consignment not for anything just to simply Get Paid now...I was told after my item arrived it would be authenticated and then within 5-7 business days I would be paid.....It’s been over 3 weeks since they have gotten my item and NOTHING! I have been calling everyday and after waiting literally 1 hour on hold to talk with someone I have been given different information from each person Ive been speaking with....also they told me “I’m sorry you got wrong information but there’s nothing to do but wait it takes up to 21 days to JUST authenticate your item” Also another rep told me my item was to be put up for consignment after I specifically maybe 10 times checked and asked my “luxury consultant” before I sent my item that I did NOT want to be placed under consignment but to Get paid now!! And she reassured me “there are no tricks after we receive your item within 5-7 business days you will get your money”This company is a joke it’s my first and last time dealing with them if I don’t have a response within a couple days I will have my item shipped back to me and sell it with another company! Oh and when I told the representative that I was planning on doing just that she “strongly advised against it because it would take a while maybe up to a month for my item to get back to me” lol they are a terrible company soooo UNPROFESSIONAL and just flat out LIARS. I never leave negative reviews everrrr but I am so upset I’m sorry I have to warn people and share this complete nightmare I have experienced since getting involved with this joke of a company!

Amazing. Wow. Such a beautiful store, with beautiful people. Lauren, the Manager, made me feel at home and was truly helpful in answering my questions. To say the least, I’m very happy with my first purchase. The music matched my vibes personally too, this is the new new and hands down now my first choice for exotic purchases. 😌

I wanted to purchase a bag online but the site did not have enough photos, so I called the store. I was helped but the wonderful person named Brooklyn. Brooklyn took extra photos to help with my decision and sent the to me via text. They went the extra mile when it came to customer service. If you ever happen to be in the Chi, at this RealReal location ask for Brooklyn. Update: I received my bag in the mail, faster than expected and my expectations were not disappointed.

I consigned a few items and purchased a few items. They even came to pick up items I wanted consign. The items I purchased was true to the description. I will continue to browse and buy from The Real Real

The Real Real is terrible to consignors. Sold item in July still not paid as of September 17. Over $19000. Lots of polite excuses but no money!!

As an African-American in this day and age, I am appalled at the abysmal treatment we endured, and I was not the only one. I saw many other duos of Black women summarily ignored as they browsed. Not a SINGLE person asked me without prompting if I needed help. In a store that sells tops >$1000 and the Birkin, you would think the caliber of service would be better. I stood in front of the Hermes display a full 5 minutes and not a SINGLE person inquired if I wanted to see an item. Guess Ill just go get a REAL real one.

A really great idea with extremely poor execution. I couldnt get over how hard it was to look for anything. All the inventory is just thrown together under silly categories like weekend. I would often find an item I loved but it was never my size. It seems to be like that all over the store.We walked in and were immediately greeted by one employee and then repeatedly checked in on by almost a dozen other employees when we were there for all of 30 minutes. I came prepared to shop but the poor execution of the store made me leave empty handed.

Sold me two pairs of fake Louboutins and then would only give me credit back. This was online but I have no where to warn people about the lack of authentication. Additionally I saw the fakes get relisted and sold again!

Love this place! Great merchandise and I Love the cafe upstairs too. Great options on the menu! Cant wait to visit again!

Real real equal waste of time! My first appt was ok, my second got cancelled 3 h before appt under the reason: something came up. To re- do it took lots of accommodations on my part. Following that, pick up truck I had scheduled first appointment many weeks ahead, changed it to totally different time. After many texts and emails exchanges employee choose to pick up my things. Following that, I got tired of numerous ad emails about their product and pointed I want to receive emails only about my consignments. After that was not carried out I requested all unsold items be sent back. They misplaced 3 items.I had sent to account manager Kenna email with bill for my time wasted, about 4 h and filed complaint w consumer financial protection bureau. My items still not received.Worst business ever. Disorganized, unprofessional,, and thieves. Should be out of business ASAP
