I arrived before 9 and didn’t have to wait.I’ve got California Omelette, very rich flavors, with tomato, avocado, garlic inside, and cheeses topping. Oh and mushrooms, love mushrooms. But next time I may try a simpler omelette. To much ingredients made me forget I am eating egg.I tend to have giant breakfast so I also ordered a waffle. It comes with four small waffles. The waffles are great! Very soft inside. Eat it together with maple syrup ~ love it!The Latte is not what I expected. The smell of coffee is not enough for me, a bit too diluted. But good to have it with waffle.

While in Chicago, a few weeks ago, we had breakfast here a couple of mornings. Good food, good service by professional and patient staff. They were very busy both days and our large group were able to sit together. The omelet was tasty and cooked just right. I would certainly go again on my next trip.

This was the perfect place to grab breakfast before we started our day at Chicagos museums. We were seated, ordered, and got our plates in under thirty minutes exceptional service indeed. I visit Yolk every time Im in Chicago. I love breakfast, its my favorite meal of the day, and this place never disappoints. Started with the strawberry lemonade, housemate and delicious. I got the chicken and waffles, a thin boneless fried chicken breast topped with sausage gravy and an egg (got mine scrambled bc Im not a runny yolk fan. To each their own), served with mini bacon Belgian waffles and syrup on the side. The perfect balance of savory and sweet. Definitely will put you in a good coma. I was in and out fast, got there just before the Saturday morning rush. If you come after 9a, there will be a wait, so be prepared. I get up early and arrived shortly before 9 and was seated immediately. If you dig breakfast, consider this highly recommended!

The speed of service, the friendly staff, very nice and clean, bathrooms were clean, and the food was the Best, I’m not sure how long the Blueberry Lemon pancakes will be available but you have to try them! Oh and it’s an added $3 for POM but it was worth it.

Food was great however our wait person was a little inexperienced. We were a party of 9. She somehow didnt bring all the beverage order and started taking our food order. When questioned about the drinks she said she had to wait because she had to get out food order and she had other customers. 🤔. After then there waa the missing food order. Things happen with a large group, however its how you correct them is the issue.Food was very good and we will be back inspite of the little miss service.

I see why this place is so crowded! The food was delicious! Extremely affordable as well. Went here for my birthday weekend breakfast and thankfully was given the tip to sign up for the wait list beforehand. Was able to pretty much walk straight in as soon as we got there. Our waitress was pretty attentive even with all the combustion. The food was a delight! If there was a place to park, this wouldve been the perfect breakfast spot but it surely came close AND they have a bus that drops right in front in case I want to leave the car at home next time. Great job Yolk!

As a bruncher I began my late morning hunting for my options, with Yolk having the highest ratings for the neighborhood. The yellow entry made it easy to find, across from a beautiful park. The smells draw you in as you take in the simple yet comfortable atmosphere. The menu is simple yet full: full of options, full of flavors, full of surprises! My morning “coffee” was their Chocolate Peanut Butter Coffee🤯, but for the best flavor I’d recommend try it hot👍🏻I ordered the El Torero Scramble sans Chorizo, with the grits and side of pancakes (with peanut butter, no syrup😋). Perfect portion size and excellent flavor!Yummy!I’ll be back

Imagine going to a place that’s so bad that you spend 10mins of your vacations to prevent other people from going. Welcome to Yolk.1. We order to eat there, and they come to the table with a take out bag.2. They didn’t bring the soda because they shut down the machine, but they surely charged for it. They turned it on as we complained.3. See the glass. It’s as dirty as it could be, with lipstick marks included.4. French toast more like gum. You could bend it 100% and it won’t break. Saying it’s also cold is a plus.5. No soap or hand sanitizer in the restrooms.6. We replaced the salmon for extra egg. We got no salmon, and no extra egg.Hope you find somewhere else to enjoy your brunch :)

Yolk offered a decent selection of polished breakfast foods. It is clearly a popular spot, as there was a short wait when we arrived (bonus points for an accurate wait time being provided). The staff was friendly and helpful with our questions about the menu. The food was made fresh to the order and tasted delicious. I got the Eggs Benedict and the Very Berry French Toast. The ratio of bread, egg, and sauce left a bit to be desired, but the components were each good on their own. The french toast, however, was perfect. The berries were juicy and sweet. The toast was warm and soft, with a delicious flavor. I would highly recommend it.

We stopped by Yolk today with Family before heading back home to TN. Before coming here, I saw they had pretty good reviews. So we took a chance. Bad decision. The food was mediocre and expensive. It started when our drink order was taken. Our waitress brought our drinks back, but did not leave any straws for us. She would walk past our table numerous times, but never acknowledged us. She finally came back, and I was able to ask for straws. She took our food order and we waited. Once the food came out, we started to eat. Flies were everywhere! Our waitress came back stated that she was going to get the manager to do something about the flies. Manager comes out, and says You guys have flies over here, im sorry, but its because of the door opening and closing. I never even asked to speak to him, I was ready to go at this point. I get they were very busy, but at least be more attentive to the diners. I wish I wouldve taken a picture of my burnt steak and small portion of potatoes..

We needed someplace that would be fast, and this did meet that requirement. The thing that most missed the mark was the latte, which tasted like chocolate milk and I seriously question whether there was any espresso in it. The seasoned potatoes dont seem to have been seasoned at all, and were in various stages of cook, with some nearly raw and others verging on mashed potatoes. The breakfast burrito was good overall, certainly the best part of the meal. My overall impression was meh.

The waitress was kind and very good at working with us on our son’s severe peanut allergy (FYI, if you have a peanut allergy it cancels many items off of the list). However, the food was not very good. My husband ordered combo (2 sausages, 2 strips of bacon, eggs, and a main. We chose blueberry crepes, our son and I ordered strawberry crepes (in both cases the fruit was $3 extra completely not worth it. For one thing it was very little fruit and for another, all of the fruit was unripe/bad). Our other son ordered the Combo with the upgrade to the berry French toast. It was a very expensive meal for not very good quality. There was a lot of food. That was a plus. The sausage was the best of the sides. The bacon was limp and cold. The crepes were oddly thick and just not very good. Very blah. Not horrible but not good. None of the three of liked them. However, our son did like the French toast. Overall, I wish we had saved money and gone somewhere cheaper and with better food. I would not recommend Yolk.

Soooo my friend and I went in, saw the place, loved the ambience. We should have technically just joined the wait list on Yelp online before getting to the venue, which would have easily led us to avoid an hour worth of waiting, but that is what we get for doing a totally random spur of the moment day out. But, irrespective of that wait, it was worth it.
