Forgot his name, started with an S, maybe similar to Stanley, but he was great! Already knew I wanted a newer iPhone so he wasn’t necessarily trying to sell me anything. Eventually decided on the iPhone 13 pro. Which I know is the most expensive one but I really need a good camera and thought this was the best fit for me and he seemed pretty genuine talking about the differences of the iPhone 12s and 13s.
As a long time customer of verizon, I will soon close my account. While waiting in the store line Saturday Oct.16 at 3:30pm, a sales rep walked past me and helped the couple in back of me even when I told him that I was the first customer in line. I was ignored and had to wait for another rep., I asked for the supervisor but told she was not in the store. I feel the store practices in racial discrimination to female Caucasians. Awful customer service and will not go back to that store. Should not give the store even one star.
I was pleasantly surprised when I went to the Chicago Magnificent Mile Verizon store to buy a new cellphone and the manager Nicole asked me to describe how I use the phone daily in order to give me the best recomendations. After comparing a few brands, I made my decision based on my new knowledge. To me that is superior customer service. Since that visit I found the associatiates very professional and helpful.keep up with your good service !
Unprofessional and rude! For every question they were referring me to call online service.
They require appointment for activating a new phone. (This was not mentioned by sales reps when I called Verizon. After spending 3 days on multiple calls, 4th rep finally said they mailed me a wrong sim card). I walked in 1 hour before the closing time and was told they dont take walk-ins, so I went to AT&T instead to switch service after 10+ years with Verizon.
Terrible customer service, the guys working there don’t want to help you and just hassle you. They don’t honor the promotions available and try to swindle you.
Excellent store and wonderful location, right on The Magnificent Mile!! Bree is one of the best, most informative and patient Verizon employees Ive ever met!
This is the best Verizon store, offering an upscale shopping experience. My most recent visit was great. The people were very friendly and knowledgeable about phones (because my phone has been discontinued and Im considering a brand switch), and they really helped me out with my cracked screen. I told them I had a warranty, but since my phone has been discontinued, they couldnt provide a parts solution. So the manager kindly cut a piece of protective film for my screen, and then gave me the rest of the package for free :D That was super-nice.The first time I went in there was a funny experience. I was due for an upgrade on my iPhone, and instead of getting a newer model, I told the customer service person that I wanted a Blackberry Classic instead. Even though they had the phone in the store, she tried to sell me an Android. I kept telling her that I definitely wanted the Classic, but for some reason, she wouldnt accept my request. So I ended up going home and called Verizon to order the Classic, and even that guy was shocked into silence about such an upgrade.
Back in May 2018 when I first signed up for services with Verizon, this was my go to location and except for one bad experience with one Sales Consultant in 2018, this location gave great service. But in the lasts couple of years I had nothing but services issues like you wouldn’t believe after coming to this location. I purchased the new Max Pro 2011 Apple in September 2020 and my phone has been giving ME nothing but more and more problems. The phone runs slow, the services has been surprisingly cut off twice for extended periods of time, pages want open, problems with my YouTube account etc... I was given a new SIM card back in October 2020 but the problems Increased and I probably will not be going to this location any longer. The Sales Consultants never seemed to know what is going on; therefore the problems persist and I am having more problems with the APPLE 11 then with APPLE XR. Someone told me my phone account might of been HACKED due to NOT SECURED WIFI service within this location.
They help alot
Definitely the best Verizon I ever been, AMAZING service, SILVESTRE is excellent and professional agent !Thank you guys for such incredible service!!
I was there Memorial Weekend for my nieces bridal reception. My phone ran out of memory. I was lucky enough to walk into your store just seconds before you closed. I met your incredible employee, Mike, she worked with me to save my phone so I could make it through the weekend. She also cleared it enough that I was able to take pictures of our family event. I can’t thank her enough for working after hours to help me out. You are very fortunate to have her as a team member and an employee. Thank you again Mike you’ll never know how much these pictures mean to our family. And how nice it is to meet people like you
The store is great and the different sort of models and phones is great. You have to know you might end up with some plan along the new phone. Still, everyone inside is very helpful and will do the extra mile to help you with any technical question.
Great customer service. Took the time to explain all the details of a new pixel and guided us in transferring pictures and info. Didnt loose a thing! Great!
Very cool store. Helpful employees. Great location. Lots of new phones and accessories to try out. Come check it out!
At baseline I HATE cell phone stores, but I have to admit that this Verizon store was very helpful. I had an issue with my phone and they arranged for a replacement without any fuss I was in and out within 10 minutes. Henry helped me and he was terrific.
Horrible customer service. Walked in with only one other person in the store but at least 5 employees. Staff ignored us and stood in corner leaning against display and chatting. As a 22+ year Verizon customer looking to buy a new flagship phone I was incredibly put off.
The most dishonest company I have ever had to deal with! Run away!
Absolutely unprofessional with no supervision of lazy reps not following their own procedures.Update after the visit: it took 1 hour and 47 minutes to get my sim card replaced and get it to work.
I’ve had Verizon since I first got a cell phone (about 14 years now) so I have been to a lot of Verizon stores. I got some of the fastest and most pleasant service here today that I’ve ever experienced! I came in to add my iPad to my plan, and was helped by Sylvester and Henry. I was in and out in literally no time, and Henry especially was so friendly and helpful.
Let me start by saying.. my first experience at this store was terrible. I was told to call customer service instead of them helping me in store. My problem being.. no service in my apartment.I decided to stop by again as the customer service on the phone was not helping me at all... and I am glad I did. The first time I made an appointment so the wait was not long.. maybe 5-10 minutes on a Sunday. The second visit I didnt have an appointment and it only took about the same time to be seen.I was lucky enough to get a customer service individual, Joe P., who actually cared. He listened to the issues I had being a brand new Verizon Wireless customer for about a week this was my first positive interaction. He actually took ownership of my problem, we did some troubleshooting and even put his number in my phone in case what we tried didnt work when I got home so I could give him a call. He sent me home finally feeling optimistic about things working out.My phone service still was poor/next to nothing in my apartment and I called Joe. Joe continued to help me out/noted my account and set up a time for me to come in the following morning so we could get everything resolved. Now that is what I call great customer service! Joe P. truly cared about me as a customer and keeping me as a customer with Verizon. I recommend this store to anyone who is having an issue with their phone and hopefully Joe will be there to help you out! Thank you Joe!
Popped in to get a new phone after putting it off for way too long, walked out less than 30min later with a great new device. Excellent service and attentive sale from a fellow named Angel. Far better experience than other Verizon locations Ive gone to.
The check in lady was great. The customer service lady not so much. We went for them to help us with a number issue and she said there’s nothing she can do with no other indication of where to go. I called Verizon customer service and they resolved it within 5 minutes. The young lady at this location was just being lazy and she had an attitude as well. This was yesterday around 12ish. I have never had a problem with Verizon customer service because everyone is so great! But I do not believer this lady meets up with Verizon values.
Great spot for the northern portion of Downtown Chicago area. The employees are very pleasant and prompt to help the customers. Plus the architect and the store itself is very classy.
This store is awesome, the associates were very helpful with their services.
Amazing experience at the Verizon flagship store on Michigan Ave. We were helped by Angel and he went above on beyond during our entire phone buying interaction with him! Two very satisfied customers! Keep doing what you are doing!
I walked to this Verizon store (-10 degrees in the polar vortex) to have two questions answered and the customer service was next to nothing. I had two reasons for my visit: clarification on how my photos were being stored in my phone, and questions on my service for a six-month stay abroad. Fernando was the associate that helped me; he was dismissive, indifferent, and overall rude.1. I wanted to know how the data was being stored on my phone, cloud, computer, and/or any of the other many places photos automatically store. I simply asked for clarification and explanation, but he only responded with short, simple statements, with the message that I need to go to Apple for that question. For someone who works with tech, I felt he knew the answers to my questions was providing me with very little information in order to get me to leave quickly. He was so dismissive.2. The six-month stay abroad was the main reason for my visit. I wanted to discontinue Verizon service (without giving up my phone number) and discuss options for data usage. Fernando gave me NO help, and simply told me to contact the customer service 1800 number. This was infuriating. He also told me that ALL I MUST DO FOR CELL SERVICE is obtain a new SIM from a foreign provider, then insert it in my phone. He ensured me this is very simple. Now, for what actually happened:I called the 1800 number (with 3 call failed attempts) and after 30 minutes on the phone, finally spoke with a rep who suspended my service. Done (but I still pay Verizon $55 a month....).I arrive in Germany, and obtain a new SIM card. Telekom customer service puts it in the phone, and it will not open. The service is completely blocked due to SIM incompatible with provider contractual agreement.....*insert long error message*. This was shocking. Every guest, associate, and manager at the store tried to help, but couldnt. Nobody had ever seen this error before. I tried three different tech help desks in my city, and nobody could unlock my phone. Meanwhile, I am without any way to contact anybody. My family, new landlord, relocation agent. Anyone.I borrow a phone and call Apple customer service. They cannot help me. They tell me it is definitely a Verizon problem. After much investigation online, I find a 1800 number for Verizon customer service. I have no way to call this number. Later, I use the phone from my relocation agent, and after a 30-minute call, finally get the phone unlocked. Today I found out that this conversation incurred 18.63 EUR of additional costs on her phone.First four days in a foreign country with no working phone or navigation. 18.63 EUR and hours of valuable time lost. Thank you so much for all of your help Fernando.I hope this review reaches the appropriate people responsible for correcting this problem and avoid similar issues in the future. Aside from proper training of Verizon associates regarding SIM topics, a course in attitude management would be beneficial as well.
The store was very high tech and impressive. But the best part was the staff I dealt with. A guy named joe helped me and my wife and he went above and beyond. I was pleasantly surprised that I had such a great and fast experience at Verizon because I was not used to that in the past at other stores.
The in-store experience was great but the after sales support was not very good. In detail,my wife and I went in there to get phones and change plans. The store is amazing and the service by the staff was very good. After leaving we received a text message from Frank saying if there was anything else we needed to contact him. Unfortunately my attempts to contact him as well as calling the store directly resulted in a combination of no responses, as well as getting dropped after being on hold a long time. So, in brief the in-store experience was great, but the after sale support was not so good.
Verizon={ very helpful excellent example of really people want to help and give the best customer service zellion like to you all for all your help and support ❤️ no borders to the promotions and support and great deals}∆~now you ask your self why Verizon ? Simply is the best network Verizon infest in networking so you do not have any interaption in your signal or internet coverage or any data problems and they invest in signal towers with clean energy with sun light ships and they invest in itech people always give them beautiful smiles and help you to the end ❤️ my statement is( Verizon no borders we can not reach with our love help and support)
Silvestre was great! He took great caste of us and was very thorough and honest.
Great store on Michigan avenue in Chicago. They are a multi leveled store with attentive staff and guards by the door. They carry all of the regular Verizon items but you will pay higj Cook County and Chicago taxes if you buy here. Overall good place to browse gear.
Deceptive, commission-focused service met with condescending, inaccurate defense for actions. After speaking at length with two separate Verizon supporters over the phone that adamantly argued against the actions of the staff, I was awarded compensation through customer care. I praise the clarity provided through the service from Verizon over the phone. I was given a clear list of my options and ways to ensure my family and I would be protected as customers. I am baffled how incompetent in-store service was here and how they tried to pass it off as I was the one who did something wrong. Before I left the store to call customer care and clear things up with actual service, the manager started aggressively grabbing all of my equipment before I agreed upon what should be done and said, “I want to clarify that we did nothing wrong.”
The clerk was extremely helpful. Listened to my concern and provided a solution that saved me approximately $30...
Worked out another cost efficient plan for us n saved us more money n free stuff, God is good.
Best cell phone company. I just wish the prices were lower
Joseph, Filip and the people at this Verizon store have renewed my faith in the company. Had a few bad experiences of late with Verizon and was ready to switch carriers until I walked into their store. Went above and beyond to try and help get my family out of the mess created by others in the Verizon family and have ensured by their efforts that this family will remain a Verizon family as long as their are stores with people like Joseph and Filip in them. Thanks again,Brad
I really like this new location! Its much more spacious and incorporates high-tech ways of educating you on their product plans & features. Because the staff is equipped with iPads, you can handle everything from bill pay to new phone purchase without waiting in lines or running around the store.
Basically the coolest Verizon store in Chicago. You can come in to learn new things about technology (lots of classes), make a phone case, and shop their extensive stock of cool accessories!
This store is always great, but I want to say a huge thank you to Mark & Amanda!! They are awesome & were beyond helpful!! Not only did they assist in solving my problem with Asurion, but they shared in my frustration & were very understanding, which at the time meant more then finding a solution.
Great staff. Non- pressuring, helped me get outta there and on my way with a new phone all set up lickety-split, which is what I wanted. And helped me with my business account on the weekend.
The patience shown by Fernando was fabulous in putting on my screen protector
This is the worse Verizon store I have ever been to. I was planning to upgrade my phone and wanted to get more information regarding trade-in and deal. Bestbuy is also offering some Independence Day sale so I wanted to do a comparison. I was at store for 15 minutes but no one checked with me. There is one rep just passed by without asking or even looking at me. It was not even busy today. I guess they might think I’m one of those tourists just walking around and checking on phones. So I ended up going to Bestbuy across the street to upgrade my phone, still through Verizon tho. I got way better service at BestBuy. Very bad customer service at store!
Of course the in-store rep promised overnight delivery (for Saturday) and of course the phone wont arrive until Monday . Never ceased to be amazed how this store constantly gets things wrong.
This was probably the worst service Ive ever had at Verizon. Im only giving two stars because they still honored my appointment when I came a few minutes late because of a train issue. The sales associate I worked with was not friendly whatsoever. If I hadnt asked questions, he probably wouldnt have even spoken to me. When I did ask questions he only gave short answers with no explanation as to what it would actually mean for phone performance almost as if he were trying to get me to leave faster. When I was talking through phone options, he did nothing to help, and when I decided on a phone (after having to do my own research), he told me that it and all of the accessories for it were out of stock and told me that if I wanted it Id have to drive to the suburbs. I opted to have it shipped, but he gave no advice on how to transfer information from one phone to the next, nor did he even mention a trade in opportunity. Even when I was deciding on how to pay, he didnt explain the differences between the options, I had to ask for my own clarification.I understand the stocking issue, and I have no issue waiting for a few days for a new phone, but were I not part of a family plan, Id strongly consider switching service providers purely on the basis of how I was treated.
Waited too long, solution could not be implemented, not very productive
Called ahead to make sure they had the chargers I needed. Arrived at the store, greeted right away. Had my information already with what charger I needed. Ended up needing a new phone because mine was broke. They ordered a phone right away and checked me out fast. Great service, friendly and easy to understand and work with!!!!!
The last time I came in I was hoping to buy a new phone for myself. I explained to the sales person that the Verizon app had given me a notification suggesting I had a trade-in credit or something and asked for him to check it out. He told me to go home and call customer service, and that he didn’t know what I was talking about.I have gone in to make changes to my account multiple times that don’t stick. I’ve been given wrong I formation about home automation products. Ive waited hours in this place to have issues sorted.Stars earned are for the handful of lovely people they have in the mix that have really displayed a ton of effort.
I came in and specifically requested a pre-paid plan, and the host handed me off to an associate with the instruction to move me to a post-paid plan. I told her, to her face, that that was the exact opposite of what I wanted. She replied that Verizon doesnt provide access to all of their towers to pre-paid customers. Lovely service, Verizon.
Just your average phone store, but since its on Mag Mile its big and the stores around it are cool and mostly flagship.
Great staff and great place to work at.
Very rude employees. Make sure you read the fine print because they will tell you whatever just make a sale. Just know that as soon as you cancel you service you owe the rest of the equipment on your next bill. Verizon will never be cobtract free. What a scam.
We had the pleasure of working with Camille she was very patient, helpful, insightful, and made our experience a positive one
This is a review for the new Michigan Ave flagship store, first the place is huge. Two floors of awesome electronics. All the toys a tech savvy guy (like myself) could ask for. Went on opening day, while hectic the store and employees handled it well. I basically got my purchases and got out. No hassle. They have more than just phones and phone cases and chargers. They also have cool tech toys like drones, and those Philips Hue Lights (which I also picked up and love) There are tons of employees all around and willing to help. They have power outlets scattered throughout to charge your phone and free wifi. Im not a Verizon customer but I will definitely be coming back for my tech needs.
They told me there would be no wait but they totally ignored me ! They don’t value the customer as the make it seem or maybe it was just this specific store !? They should hire more people with people ethics.
Went in because my phone was not able to turn on and I wanted to order a replacement under the 1 year warranty. This is the 3rd LG g4 phone that has died on me, instead of the flagship verizon store honoring their warranty, they tell me the warranty does not count toward the replacement phone they sent me, even though Ive done this two times before. Sure enough, an hour later I go onto verizons website and order a replacement phone through their online chat system without any problem. WHY SPEND MILLIONS ON A STORE IF YOUR EMPLOYEES CANT EVEN HONOR A SIMPLE WARRANTY?
Very helpful staff and very cheap repair.
Its all about people right, personal knowledgeable help from a dude name Angel - so now, this is my go to electronic/gadget store - as they have more than phones here.
I want in to charge a phone. Nice staff. Listened to me explain Project Fi 😃
Love this store. Great staff!
Horrible experience. Go to Franklin and Washington. Much better employees
The worst experience whatsoever. Overcharge. Overpriced. Left hand does not know what right hand is doing.
Had a gmail issue with my LG phone and brought it in for help rather than trying to self-diagnose (waste time) on the android message boards. The two employees who helped me were friendly and patient with my questions. And my gmail is working just fine now.
Got my new iPhone here! The service was fast.
I had to get a new phone and do some non-trivial stuff with my account and all was handled quickly and easily. Cesar hooked me up. Im guessing all the negative reviews are here because typically people only review places like this when they have a bad experience. But its obviously not as bad as the negative reviews say.
AVOID THIS STORE. THEY WILL ROB YOU. ITS CALLED THEFT BY DECEPTION. THEY SCAMMED MY DAUGHTER. SAID IPAD 140. THEY FAILED TO MENTION. THE ABSURD CHARGES. THAT INNCUR. NEVER GO TO VERIZION TO BUY ANYTHING. go to bestbuy for all your phones.. 14 day return policy at Verizon. My daughter has been in the store over and hour. Trying to return everything.
Big store. Helpful staff and more convenient than most Verizon stores.
Friendly people and nice service.
This location is not good at all. They are just too exciting about having new customers but no follow up no basic customer services. This was my first time using verizon and very disappointed. If someone is looking for a verizon service, DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS AT ALL.
Cool setup. Cool gadgets. Fun store.
Ridiculous wait while multiple employees walk around doing nothing. I am not sure why they are paid.
I visit this store at least 1-3 times a month for the past year and a half to check out their new gadgets and phones. Since I manage my companys account, this allows the senior staff to have a more personal experience. Ive brought Directors, VPs, SVPs, and are CIO to this location and every time they leave happy and satisfied with the experience and knowledge of the sales team that works there. On a side note: We dont have an account manager, but the local manager, Megan, has always taken care of every need weve had.Weve had an account for many years and this is one of the many reasons that we will continue to do business and renewing phone contracts. And if you are curious to know, we have at any time 300-500 phone lines or data plans active.-Anthony Howell
Worst experience wouldn’t recommend coming in here everyone standing around no help and will never come back any one who was working on January 11 at about 4:26pm needs to be retrained really bad work ethic no wonder it’s getting low ratings
Absolutely terrible experience. VERY unhelpful VERY dry VERY disappointing. Went across to Best Buy right after I left this store and THE SAME PROBLEM was resolved immediately. Will never, ever come back to this location.
WARNING: this store is only for show. They can’t help you do anything and they never have any new phones.
Its a pretty neat Verizon. One of their signature stores.
Very inexperienced crew working there. They have messed up the billing twice and still have not being corrected yet.
A fraud salesperson. I made a contract since the salesperson said I would get a 20% discount on the phone price, but when I had my bill it turned out that there was not. She brazenly made an excuse that the 20% she said was a downpayment I paid (but I did check her I had only 60% of the full phone price to pay further). Plus, she never explained me about TMP (Total Mobile Protection) fee, and it was charged while I did not know there was such a thing.Worst buying experience ever. Will never use Verizon.(Go to Best Buy just acrossed the road or at least another Verizon store).
Excellent service for a new screen saver monw shattered
Excellent selection price and service.
Every time I walk out of this store, Im more confused than when I went in. Ive also tried calling them to ask simple questions about what they have in stock at the store (so I dont have to waste everyones time going in), and waited on hold for over 40 minutes. I finally had to just hang up, because who has time to wait on hold that long?!
Great service staff has all the answers.
Customer service was full and complete
Nice staff, good service
Largest Verizon in the country with the best display of items and best stock.
A good place but the 4g LTE is Soo slow it makes internet explorer look fast
Went in for help with my service and the store associate was extremely rude and unfriendly and behaved as if I was disturbing his day, asking questions such as “Then why are you here” I’m very disappointed as I have had a pleasant experience with Verizon in the past.
Came in from out of town with phone issue. They resolved it without trying to upsell.
Terrible customer service! Not helpful at all. You would think that clearly being unhappy, the manager, Justin, would have spoken with me other than just passing off his card to the sales associate to hand me.
Always so helpful. Been with them for years wouldnt dream of changing carriers.
Great customer service and a vast array of selections. I only come here for my Verizon shopping when home in Chicago...
1hr+ wait time and unprofessional customer service.
I got my google Pixel phone there. One of the retailors sold me a phone with a false promo on black Friday . Promised 400 credit but never received it. His name is Joe. Such a disappointing expererience. Asked for an email many times but also never happened.
Nobody here knows what they are doing
