Great service staff was friendly and honest about wait time. Its back to school time so wait was a longer than normal. Totally understandable.Their price was reasonable and affordable. My tech, Ryan R. came out and explained what was done and what steps to take to protect the work done. Definitely will recommend and use if I need to again.

Had the backlight in my laptop go out and they fixed it no charge - apparently it was a loose cable and an easy fix. So I was super appreciative of that!Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I dropped off on a Wednesday morning and I was told I’d get a call back the next day. When I called to check on it at like 2:30PM the next day, I mentioned I hadn’t heard back yet and was just wondering where it’s at and the guy goes “well it’s only halfway through the day, so we still have until 8 to call you.” And then they still didn’t call back that day lol.

Extremely unsatisfied. They told me they are gonna have the screen for my sister’s phone by Thursday/Friday and they’ll call me once they get it. Nobody called back. I called them on Friday evening, they said Saturday. Nobody called back. On Monday they told me they don’t have the new screen yet. On Tuesday I finally got to talk to somebody who told me I can bring the phone in. After I left the phone they called me (first time calling me back) and told me that the screen they ordered does not work with the phone. Now they ask for an extra week and extra charge. I am not going back to this place ever again.

So I had an appointment today at 4pm. I had additional questions so I decided to call and they have two separate numbers which is confusing. But regardless their website says they open at 10am. So I called around 10:30. I called both numbers a total of 10 times today. No answers. So I decided to drive over to check it out that was about 1pm. They had their lights off and their doors shut. I waited maybe 20 minutes to see if maybe someone walked in to open it up or something but nothing. I wasted a $10 off coupon on top of that. If I could give zero stars I would! Don’t go there!

I came in to get the battery replaced on my phone. Got it back working like new in about two hours for a good price.While I was there, I observed one employee (guy with red hair) act incredibly patient and polite with a customer who had a specific problem that sounded more like it needed police intervention than a tech solution. There was clearly nothing he could do to help her but he remained friendly and patient and offered what suggestions he could.He appeared to have been left alone up front and when another employee came in he got right to work helping to bring down the length of the line outside. For a couple of young guys, those two did a stellar job handling both tricky customers and a surge of people coming in at once. Ill definitely use ubreakifix in the future!

Called sunday about battery replacement and instead of telling me they didnt have it in stock, waited till i came into store, and would be tuesday till it was fixed.Tuesday, no work at all on phone and no one contacted me to explain. Same for today when i came to get phone and was asked if i knew they didnt have the part.I had called hours earlier and was put on hold for like 10 mins before i hung up.Dont know how everyone else gets such great service, but this is typical of chicago.

They fixed my Dell computer, the power insert was loose needed to be replaced. Gave them my computer Tuesday afternoon had it back Thursday evening. Been operating good since, was able to update software no complaints. Also repair comes with a 90 day warranty.

I called seeking data recovery per the google search. I saw all of these top reviews. They didnt pick up the phone but the call was transferred to Corporate who told me they do data recovery even if the computer wont come on, they could try: if it isnt too corrupted it might work. I drive to this place and they said they dont do that. Jeez, cant trust that Google search. This place likes to fix baby stuff.

They called me 2 days after and said it is (unrepairable) and to come get it back.When I came to the front desk guy gave it to me with a smile, when I was going through the store door I took a close look at it, I noticed three missing screws as in the pictures attached here, so I turned to the front desk guy and showed him, the technician from the room inside heard me asking about the missing screws and he said (it came like this), I told him that this laptop has never been opened, he said while still inside( I didn’t say it was open, it just came like this) which is a straightforward lie as I do take pictures before and after I give any device to repair (learned that the hard way before)I am not sure what else was missing other than screws from inside, but I assure you that I will follow up on this and will escalate it to legal actions as I have pictures before and after and he is simply lying.In conclusion I don’t know if they are good or bad, I only know for a fact the technician that was there (at 12.10 pm CST at the branch located at 1240 s canal street, in chicago Illinois, 60607) was simply lying about the screws, and I will follow to see what else is missing inside, and I will keep followingSincere advice, don’t use Ubreakifix services for your your device protection, at least if you are willing to risk it, do not use their branch located at (1240 s canal street, in chicago Illinois, 60607)Also I will be checking officially if the motherboard that they said it is (unrepairable) is the same one (same part number) that claws originally in the laptop or no, if they lied in the screws, they will lie on what’s inside, will keep escalating and updating the post

Made an appointment here to fix my phone screen and when I called ahead to check in on my appointment they told me they didn’t take appointments anymore (even though the website let me make one).On top of that their customer service when I called ahead sounded annoyed when it was their error in the first place with not removing appointments as an option. Not planning to use them after that experience.

I had it replaced a couple weeks ago, but was still having problems with phone calls and other phone usage. They told me to come back and they would take care of it for me.I purchased a replacement phone via amazon, and brought it with me when I went back for my other issues. They were kind enough to replace the motherboard from the new phone to my old one so I would have to deal with the hassle of transferring my data, and the worry of losing my data. They didnt charge me for this service. They were courteous and fast. I will always return here for future repairs and cannot recommend them enough.Thank you Arturo!

Brought my computer in for repair and Kory helped me from start to finish. The computer wasnt be able to be saved, no fault of his own, but the data were, and he beat his estimated turnaround time. A great experience considering the circumstances and I would highly recommend this place to others.

My phone was broken. It is an uncommon brand, and they refused to even attempt to fix it, saying it would be too risky and they could damage it. But the phone was already completely dead! I dont understand the logic of these people. So what if theres a risk it gets damaged further, its destined for the garbage anyway!

I am extremely satisfied with both customer service and repair. I initially called and spoke with a rep by the name of Tim (I believe) who was polite and he was able to give me a quote over the phone for the issue I presented with my tablet.(Approx $20) Upon arrival, there was no wait, and the store was clean. I was immediately greeted by a store rep (Corey) who listened to the issue I had with my tablet. (It was stuck in loading screen) He immediately diagnosed the issue as a software glitch and did a QUICK factory reset, and explained to me what to do on my own should I encounter the issue at home. I was in and out in 15mins! I initially went to Geek Squad and they quoted me $200 but ended up telling me they were unable to help me because my device was encrypted. They refered me to this company who literally solved the issue with a simple press of a few buttons I could have done at home...Im in disbelief that Geek Squad didnt know how to fix this simple issue and upcharged soo much! I am glad that they referred me here. I will now give this place business with any of my device issues from here on out and recommend others! I can tell they are genuine, knowledgable, and not money hungry and arent trying to get over on customers! My only regret is that I didnt know about this place BEFORE I left my laptop with Geek squad for repair when I clearly should have brought it here! Thank you all.

I came into the store to fix my screen because it shattered and I could not use my phone. I took it to this store and they told me it would be a two hour wait to fix. So I gave them my code so they could fix without having me to be there. Big mistake. I came back and started looking thru my apps to find out that someone was trying to access my bank and credit accounts. I use biometrics, so I had to log in with my passwords and reset the biometrics to each app. Not cool at all.

My gameplay started going slow; just upgraded to 1 Gig bandwidth.. Sigh I knew my 1Tb hd was going bad. Looked then up on the internet, got my quote and made my appt.
