Awesome curation of local Chicago area artists’ work, plus a great selection of dvds, vhs, books, etc. great vibe, fun location, well priced. They often have tables with different vendors (including tarot readings) outside when the weather is nice. Always some new to find a space oddities!

I LOVE Space Oddities - Ive been going there for years. the owner is super nice, and they have so much cool stuff that I pretty much never walk out empty handed. plus they support local artists! theyre one of the places that I have to stop every time Im in the area, I highly recommend checking them out.

Very fun, quirky bookstore. I first went for their St Lucias Day Winter Party and really enjoyed meeting new people and checking out their art and books, I look forward to seeing what kinds of events theyll have in the future.

As someone who has rats coming into my house, I really was disappointed to see Feed The Rats art up. I guess it is funny to some people but believe me you will change your tune if they gain access to your apartment

My girlfriend and I went to this store on a wim looking for some horror themed merch as this store was listed as that on yelp. I understood that it was more of a witchcraft vibe once we got in and was even more excited because my girlfriend and I love that type of thing. The lady working there was very nice and knowledgeable on everything in the store and really seemed to love what she does which helped us find some Tarot decks that fit us well.

An eclectic and ethereal shop of wonders with lovely staff. Fun to spend an afternoon browsing and chatting or order online from the great selection.

A wonderful shop. I bought the best smelling incense ever. Friendly staff. They have vhs tapes and comic books and an old piano. And local art is everywhere on the walls for sale. So many books!!!!

I found in paperback an all-in-one poems and stories of Edgar Allen Poe. They also carry tarot cards and cds.

Pleasantly surprised. I went in thinking it was a bit chintzy, but their collection of books was definitely thoughtful. The guy working was friendly and down-to-Earth. Another reviewer said it better than I couldve: fun, but not overly ironic, cool but also real.

Love finding surprises here. People are super friendly and knowledgeable too. Happy to support this little gem of a place.

Eclectic is an overused word; instead of going that route, lets call Space Oddities a versatile and intriguing bookstore. Theres plenty of variety, but variety with a theme. Rather than a scattershot used bookstore with hit-or-miss materials, Space Oddities offers a well curated book selection in addition to contributions from local artists across different media. Wonderfully weird but never ostentatious.

These were some sweet humans and they had amazing stuff, hard to find fall cassette tape and a compendium of feminist film theory! like what the hell if you are looking for something and you dont know what it is you could do worse to figure it out than stopping in to this little gem
