Always great tea. Doesnt accept cards for some reasonπ€
Excellent bubble tea no matter what kind you get! I would recommend the taro milk tea with boba, their seasonal drinks are great as well.
Excellent place was very satisfied with the excellent service excellent variety. The service is pleasant. People are Super attentive and kind I recommend it seriously
Ordered the Honey Lemonade and it was pretty good. You could taste the hints of lemon. Would return again.
Came here with my wife after our anniversary dinner to get tea. I am very impressed with the staff and speed of service. Prices are unbeatable as well. Thank you staff and management. Keep up the good work. I will be back.
They take cash-only. The drinks are ok, better options in the area. They also seem pretty tired/rude at times. Never really a pleasant environment to hung out around. They have very limited seating, since theyβve closed off majority of their seating area.Try the Ginger Milk Tea. Surprising pretty good.
Been coming here for quite a while. Placed a mobile pick up order of some rose hip milk tea, green kung fu tea, & a taro slush. Pick up time was wayyyyy earlier than expected, which was nice. Overall this place has definitely become a lot more popular.
I always come here for bubble tea when im in Chinatown, its in a nice little mini mall sort of area and i really enjoy all the different options that they have
Really good bubble tea. Good flavors, lots of variety, friendly staff, good prices. Short wait time. Good location. Nice view from the windows. Just a really solidly good experience.
This place has many varieties of enjoyable beverages. The pricing is reasonable and the taste is delicious
The way to arrive at this place is fun. You have to take an outdoor, spiral staircase. They have the menu inside but they also have it posted outside on the window so you can decide what you want before even having to go inside. They currently only have the option to take it to go. The seating is blocked off. My friend got the taro slush with mango popping boba. She really like it but just wished it had a little more flavor or sweetness. I went with the Kung Fu milk tea with bubbles and pudding. The flavor of the tea is really good. The only bad thing in my drink was that the bubbles were kinda hard, not soft and chewy like at other places. I will definitely come back!
Great tasting drinks. Just make sure you have a different type of payment other than cash
Best spot for late night bubble tea! In the middle of Chicagoβs chinatown.
Open later than most of the other shops, mango green tea is great
I go here every time Im in Chinatown. My favorite boba place around.
I came to get myself a mango drink, the place was nice but it was a big downer when I found out it was only cash. We had to drive all the way to a chase to get cash and drive back just to find out there was an atm there all along (honestly not their fault for us being unaware. Which is why the rating hasnβt been affected by this) My only complaint, the wait time. It took about 15-20 minutes for both our order (2 drinks) to be taken and our order to be given to us. (There was only one person besides us and they ordered 3 drinks, there was two workers at the time) The drinks were delicious and were a reasonable price, so despite the long wait and that itβs cash only. I would come back.
Order taro slush many time and this time when I come back taro slushs ice is still in there and I cant even taste taro and new york flusing kung fu tea is much better there is no ice in the drink and the flavor taste strong too I buy it so many time while on vacation.
Got the gallon milk tea for a 24. Quality was good.
Great selection of teas with reasonable prices. Ill definitely go back again.
Oolong tea with milk cap is still the best I can find in chicago.
Soooooo good, service is great and even though theres barely seating cuz of covid the environment was cozy and fun. The tea was very good, my first time having Boba tea and it was awesome and delicious. I definitely recommend trying this place if you havent already :)
The almond milk boba tea is amaaaazingly delicious! However, the cashier is a bit rude.
Love Kung Fu. Consistent every time, solid go to spot. I only recently started drinking boba but theirβs has been my fave so far out of the 4 or 5 places Iβve tried
Very good, they have variety to order, it is very clean and tidy!
Always fast service and very delicious drinks! And free wifi is always a plus βΊοΈ
Visited here 2x so far & will go again! The servers are nice and quick to please. Lots of choices, hot & cold, and the coffee bobas are especially tasty as the juice pops in your mouth. Open long hours! 2 minor downsides: No credit cards or debit cards accepted (cash & paying with apps are accepted) & its on a 2nd floor you cant get to if youre unable to climb stairs.
Great assortment of teas I just got an iced green tea but I saw folks with some interesting looking concoctions.
The employees are nice and kind people, the vibe is π―. And any recommendations I will say try the oreo slush.
Good place to try, not as busy as the tea place on the lower level! Since this is on the 2nd level of the plaza might be the reason why its not as busy! They only accept cash or venmo! Wish they Had more milk tea flavors.
I ordered a milk tea and it taste like I only got milk. Very disappointed.
The service is good and the employees are helpful! Only 4 outta 5 because the lines are ridiculous and no one social distances.
This place has great green tea flavors and a reasonable selection of non-tea options! Delicious!
In this place is only cash. Tea smoothies and shakes. They have a place to sit inside or outside. ( Second floor chinatown Chicago,,πππ
Fast and sooo good.
Good selection but they were out of both boba and milk cap when we went (which were what the two of us had gone to this place for specifically). Only cash/venmo.
One of the original milk tea places in Chinatown and still the best.
Fast and friendly service! Awesome bubble tea! Will be back! βΊοΈ
Very good boba
Did not expect the cash-only part but good drinks for a good price.
Really good boba tea and fast service!
Delicious...just need to update their system...seem to be popular place!
They only accept cash and make buyers pay taxes.Drinks are not good and too expensive
Great bubble tea. Great energy.
Bubble teas are good but they only take cash or Venmo payments.
The oreo milk tea was delicious! The ambiance is nice, really chill place. I guess the downside is that its cash only. Not too surprising for Chinatown but we didnt have much cash on us so we didnt get the opportunity to try other things on the menu. Definitely gonna have more cash either next time we come so I can try more!
On the app says theyβre closed at 12. So I placed my order around 10:30. When I came to pick them up, the store had already closed.I tried to email and call but didnt get any reply or any refund.
One of the best bubble tea places in chicago.
Top quality bubble tea!
Winter melon tea was so refreshing and sweet. Their variety is insane. Fast & fresh!
Visited Kung Fu Tea in China Town on a Friday night, but there were out of nearly everything me and my group were looking for. I compromised my order but the other members of my group just didnβt get anything. My drink was ok but personally Iβm not going back.
You cant go wrong with Kung Fu Tea, theres a reason there are sooo many locations
Amazing customer service, with a side of Yummy boba tea!!!
The payment was weird & their bubble tea was average in my opinion.
This location is always out of ingredients/ toppings/ add-ons
Delicious tea! Love all the flavors
Like others point out, this location doesnt take credit cards at the register. I wish I had known this before going in. It is not true to say they are cash only, though. They accept a few Chinese e-commerce payment systems, such as AliPay, their official app (the minimum load is a very steep $25), and Venmo, which I set up an account for the sole purpose of paying here. I quickly found a seat and languished with my phone for what seemed like 15 minutes going through these alternative payment methods until finding one that worked for me. By then, a long line formed, but since I sat down it was thankfully one I did not happen to hold up.It sounds incredibly petty of an online reviewer to deduct a star for a restaurant being anti-card, but I insist upon such pettiness, on account of the inconveniences it presents so many of Kung Fu Teas first time customers. I had no cash and their WiFi to download their app and Venmo was slow as molasses. The atmosphere is cafe-like, though I did not linger long after obtaining my drink. It seems friendly enough to stay a little while.Regarding the drink I had, it was deliciousness incarnate. I had an Oreo slush that was out of this world... seriously! I think when I have cash or enough money to pay via Venmo Ill come back. My hope long-term is they consider getting a Clover or Square payment solution. Credit and debit card processing fees are not as high as they used to be; with the money this place is making they can certainly be making far more by taking plastic and contactless payments. If youβre getting the Oreo drink, be sure to try the Slush and not the WOW Milk. Theyβre very different drinks.
I love going here the customer service is great they work fast and so far everything Ive had is delicious.
Yummy and always a long line! Order via mobile app!!
Always nice and drinks are always tasty :)
Line goes by quickly and the drinks are good.
The service is amazing!! The workers are really sweet. The service is efficient and fast. The place itself is maintained clean, definitely recommend.
Always my favorite stop for bubble tea
Tasty! My favorite is the taro slush
The tea is really really good and service was really good as well
Decent bubble tea
Always my first stop when I hit China town. The tea selection is great. Just had the passion fruit slush with mango popping bubbles. Excellent
Favorite thing about this place: they have option to select % of sugar in your bubble tea.Accept contactless payment, venmo as well.
So Iβve gone here a bunch of times, all my experiences have been good. The only issue is with all the options on the menu itβs a little hard to choose what to pick. Which Isnβt a bad thing I just feel a little lost when Iβm trying something new. I love the taro milk tea with grass jelly and I definitely recommend it. The interior design is cool and itβs a great place to hang out on a day out in Chinatown. One of the times I visited I asked for a recommendation for an tea but didnβt get too much help. But still I recommend it all the way just hope to see the baristas be a little more engaging with costumers.
Fantastic tea here! It tastes much better than many other boba tea type of places. Tastes less sugary to me. They have a nice sized list with plenty of options on how they make it
I hate to admit it, bur...Ive only been to, like, three bubble tea places. But this one is my favorite, hands down! Good, fresh tapioca, excellent flavor choices, quick service, clean place.Try the Kung Fu Tea with less sugar. Its perfect. The Honey Oolong is fantastic too.Bonus: app payments are awesome and fast, and the ability to customize the heck out of your drink is much appreciated.
I had a great first experience coming here with my cousin who is a regular there. It is very clean, relaxing environment, has great staff and yummy bubble tea. It isnt expensive either. I loved coming here so much that I told my fiance about it and have been dying to go back! (: I got the lactose free Oreo wow milk and it was very good. I had a sip of my cousins drink and it was also very good. P.S the bathroom is gorgeous. Its a small detail I noticed. I really wish they upgraded to taking cards and not just cash. If they did, they would definitely have a higher volume of people. Its an inconvenience.
Its a nice and clean place to get your boba tea fix. However I deducted one star because they dont take credit cards. They only accept cash and payment via their app. Maybe its their way to speed up transaction time? but there is still a wait for the bubble so I dont know what that accomplished other then creating a queue for the pick up. Ive never been there when theyre busy so it might be different when they have a line out the door. But all in all its a great place to get your bubble tea and the staff are friendly.
A large selection of bubble tea in flavors to satisfy most people I think. Lots of sweet varieties of course, but I dont like sweet tea, so I ordered the black tea with minimal sugar added, and it was quite good, just the tiniest hint of sweetness in the tea. The tapioca is good, but maybe a little too sweetened for my tastes. This particular store has a really nice atmosphere, its on the second floor of an outdoor pedestrian mall, and is wide and spacious with a bunch of tables, and gets nice and sunny in the afternoon. While I was there a lot of customers came and went, giving it a nice bustling vibe without feeling too crowded. The store (and bathroom) were clean and well maintained, and the staff pretty friendly and helpful.Ill definitely drop in here again the next time Im in Chinatown.
Wonderful little place for milk tea. They accept Venmo, but not credit cards or debit cards. The chicken wings were good, and my Oreo Milk Tea was fantastic. Im definitely going to come back here next time Im in Chinatown - wonderful!
Its good bubble tea for a good price, not much else to say. The atmosphere has a Starbucks-type vibe to it so it was pretty modern looking. Id say its worth a visit if you want bubble tea in Chinatown.
I love bubble tea, I would replace my daily coffee with a bubble tea in a heartbeat. This location is in Chinatown, and despite it being almost 11 pm I was shocked to see the place packed. The menu has a large variety of choices, so there is a drink creation to be made for everyone. After scanning the menu I decided on the Coffee Milk Tea with tapioca. The cashier is a no-nonsense type which is understandable to keep up with the busy pace. I think I waited less than five minutes before my drink was ready to go. Just ensure you have cash on hand because they do not take credit card. This location seems to serve food which is nice if you are a bit hungry while you are sitting around with friends or studying with your laptop at the bar. There is plenty of seating in the establishment ranging from couches and a booth style couch to high table tops. I also like the fact that this location is open late since I am a night person, it is the perfect spot for a late night bubble tea fix.
They didnt have the drink I asked for when I walked in and that was very disappointing but I opted for something else instead. The drink was a lemonade tea combo and it was pretty good. Nothing worth going out of the way for though. The place seems like a popular stop for teens and college students more so than the other tea shops in Chinatown.
Good bubble tea in the area. I believe this is a chain store and I have tried their bubble teas in different places (Portland OR if I remember correctly). The only weird thing is they accept cash or VENMO (no credit card in 2019?). So yea, prepare some cash (a decent amount).
