Even though I have had MANY issues with delivery and quality bc of covid etc. The way Leslie the store manager and Andrea my sales person have handled everything and treated me is what makes the difference. Both sooo sweet and helpful and doing everything in their power to help me and get all the issues resolved. To me that is more important than everything else. It makes the frustration of all the problems be not as relevant. And bc of that I will ALWAYS use this location for anything PB related. They go above and beyond and always friendly!

Had a very positive experience with very helpful staff. Three staff members went out of their way to help me finding the items I was searching for. The store was clean and well stocked. The displays are well done and not picked apart. Large amout of sale items.

The quality is spotty and their customer service is shady. We purchased a shelf for the wall and it was clearly defective as the screws wouldnt fit into the hooks to hang it. It was measured perfectly, but the hooks were too small for the screws. We called to get a replacement and they said no problem, send it back and we will send you a new one. Instead the cancelled the order and we are left with hardware in the wall with no new shelf. We called back and they said, no you need to pay the new higher price for the item since we returned the original.

Poor customer service. I returned an item here, and it appeared the refund wasnt going through on my account, but instead it looked like it was trying to charge me for the return amount. When I called to get clarification, and explain the situation, a man named Michael said I was in banking for 25 years thanks though very rudely. This was only after I had tried calling multiple times to ask about it and never got calls back.

The store is currently set up with markings to assist with social distancing. The staff was very helpful in showing my different options for completing a furniture set. Curbside pickup for online orders is wonderful. You need to park in the rear of the building, however, and call the phone number that is displayed there.

Clean, organized, friendly personnel, good spacing. The products seem the same as other stores of this type. Exclusive by price? I cant address quality nor sustainablity; I am not their chosen market nor am I trendy. Display was a different shade of the same hue, I like color.

Ordered a sofa 1.5 years ago - the slipcover quality is awful (Cameron Slipcovered Sofa in Twill). Called customer service and they issued a replacement at no charge. They then rescinded the replacement due to an agent error. Customer service stated they could replace the slipcover for a couple hundred dollars less than what the original sofa cost. The replacement wouldnt be delivered for 15 weeks. Customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with and the quality is extremely poor for the price.

In the past 2 months, Ive ordered 2 pieces of furniture and bedding from this location. While all the store associates/designers have been helpful and professional, I want to take this space to call out Christie. She has helped me on both store visits and was simply fantastic. She listened to my needs, offered advice and suggestions, and couldnt be more helpful or patient through the whole process. I purchased a Buchanan sleeper sofa, a Paulsen desk, and bedding for my new home. Ive had all the pieces in for about a week and the quality seems extremely high. Delivery was easy (this location uses the same delivery company as the neighboring West Elm store and set up/scheduling was simple). I dont have any suggested changes or improvements from my two store visits.

Great stuff, seriously wish we could have a lottery barn house but it is sooooo expensive, the works hover and follow you around which ok yes sales people but be nearby without being a helicopter! Sometimes customers want to look around!

I’m not usually one to write reviews but Diane has been so helpful that I felt as it was my duty. My husband and I walked into Pottery Barn a week ago and Diane helped us pick out the perfect couch and fabric. I came in the next day to look at fabric for a wells chair and she took time to review the options with me and gave me excellent advice. I stopped in today to buy said chairs and once again, the most helpful person I’ve dealt with in a long time. If you are planning on getting furniture, take the time and go into the store and if you are lucky you will run into Diane and you will have the same awesome experience I did.

Extremely disappointed with the quality of my sofa. I purchased it 2 years ago, and the threading is already coming apart in a few places. I called customer service and they directed me to a upholstery repair service, which would be at my expense. Yes, I realize I purchased the sofa some time ago, however I would expect a highend sofa to last longer than 2 years.

Visited the Grand Ave. location In the afternoon of Sunday, October 18th. Although there were only two other customers in the store, my friend and I were not greeted by anyone and were later, silently walked right past by the same employee who saw us enter, even though eye contact was made. I have never experienced such poor customer service. My friend and I took our business elsewhere. I’m not a judgy person by nature, but I have to say, if I were her boss, I would let her go in a heart beat. Other employees there were ignoring all of the customers just chatting socially. I will not be going back.

Had a terrible experience with a return/exchange. The manager at the time was very rude and condescending. One of her employees actually apologized to me later. This happened a number of years ago but a friend is having a terrible experience with them today and I see many similar reviews. Seems like customer service is a BIG issue for PB.

Terrible customer service here. I went for my curbside pickup but was rudely told I could either come in the store or go to the back of the store for pickup. When I went inside there were more salespeople than customers and received the same rude and condescending attitude. Taught me a lesson for not buying from a local small business that I wont forget.

Rode cta red line from the loop to completely waste my time. They close every day at 8pm not 9pm (Per google) which is ridiculous. If they were in a mall it would be 9pm. Ghost town joke with trash in the parking lot. Very poor hours for a “high end” store. They act like they are such high end and it’s not even kept up well. Every time I’ve been here they were rude and have an attitude! Get your act together or go under like most other strip mall businesses. Will probably close my account. Shop elsewhere, save money, more convenient, and MUCH better service!!

Picked up an online order today. I was expecting a warm welcome with nice smiles instead I was not greeted and I felt like I was a bother being there. I didn’t feel like I could walk around the store without being watched. My nephew who was examining a chair was being followed by one of the clerks. Never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome at a store in my life. I love pottery barn, but I just wish this store has a better costumer service.

I’ve been here literally all weekend as a pop up. I’ve watched the entire staff hustle-non-stop on displays, merchandising, and of course, helping lots of satisfied customers. They have all been so gracious as hosts! I came in today with a new gorgeous table for my merchandise. They all come up to introduce themselves. Very personable!

Went to pick up an online purchase today at this location with my family. Did not know I was going to be judged for wearing jeans and a sweater. The guy was acting very pretentious when speaking to him about our purchase. Asked him if it was gift wrapped, and he replied yes in a snooty way. It ended up not being wrapped. I wanted to look around a bit but felt like I was being watched. I decided to just leave. I suppose I would have been treated a little different if my skin color and appearance was different. Now that’s a thinker. Wish I would have gotten his name.

Giving on star is generous. I ordered an area rug and had 2 delivered. I double checked the order confirmation and the quantity said 1. When I first called, they said they would send me a label and I could return it to UPS. This is an 8x10 rug! I told them this was their fault and they had to pick it up. Apparently, according to PB, UPS told them with little notice, they would no longer pick up items for return. I have spent hours (no exaggeration!) between being on hold and trying to get them to pick up this rug. After the 3rd time, I was assured I would hear back that next day. That was Tuesday. Today is Wednesday and no call! I am again on hold. This pains me as I do like their products. Quite a difference from their sister company, Wiliams Sonoma.

Its hard to describe how bad the customer service at this store is. They are always short on help, but that is a secondary issue compared to how rude the employees are. I had plenty of time this evening and patiently waited close to an hour through their clunky return process, only to have an associate begin raising her voice at me when I asked for a confirmation number (which they werent able to provide) as things were wrapping up. To treat a customer who was willing to calmly stand by in such a manner is entirely unacceptable. Avoid this store like the plague.

I completely agree with many other reviewers: the customer service is not friendly, attentive or often efficient. Also, dont buy anything that you cant carry away immediately. I waited twice as long as promised for my merchandise, was never called to advise me it had arrived in store, and when I did go to the store to pick it up (after calling an hour ahead as instructed) waited 15 minutes for them to find it.

I had the absolute worst experience working with Christine W., Jodi, & Vivian D. I placed an order in July for four dining chairs. Delivery was suppose to be August 26th. That date came and passed. They quietly pushed back the delivery date to two weeks later. That day came and passed. This happened several times. No notice or warning from them at all. In fact the last correspondence I had with them at the time on August 26th was when they said the chairs are finishing up and preparing to ship...well that sadly didnt happen. At the end of every two week delivery window they quietly pushed back the delivery date another two weeks. The chairs were not delivered until October. They best part is that they delivered the wrong items. Items delivered were a lesser quality and dollar value. So I paid for a particular item, a more expensive item, than what I received...you think the refund/return would be simple right? WRONG! You think that they could simply refund the difference. WRONG! Several hours on the phone with multiple people and still no closer to resolve. They were incredibly rude on the phone, never responded to emails, failed to follow through on their promises and genuinely acted bothered by me reaching out to them for answers after all these major delays and issues.No responsibility, No accountability, Do not recommend, and would never use their services ever again. If you have an issue the burden will be on you to correct it no matter whos fault it is.

I used 25.00 reward certificate on a 5x8 rug. The rug didnt fit my space so I returned it. Pottery barn kept my 25.00 reward certificate and wouldnt credit me. I was treated poorly in store. Sales person acted like it was a nuisance to even wait on me. I was prepared to do my fall shopping in their store but after they wouldnt return my 25.00 I took my business across the street to Pier one. The staff couldnt have been more helpful I asked and received a discount on a wall picture! My future business is going to pier one!

I scheduled an in-home design appointment after discussing headboard/storage bed options and they ended up canceling the appointment on the same day, I did not get the message and had left work early to get home in time. When they did come to the rescheduled appointment, Wilifred and Nico measured our room, and said they would follow up with a scale drawing and recommendations. They actually want you to go back to the store to discuss, rather than sharing via email which they said they would do. 10 days later the plans came through after I followed up requesting an emailed copy. Overall, the in-home design experience is nice that they offer, but a pain to deal with.

This is by far my worst experience with both store management and a customer service center. We ordered in store from Esterlee: 2 leather chairs, a custom arm chair, custom left sided chaise and custom right sided love seat from this location. Upon delivery, they had two RIGHT arm love seats and we were missing one of the chairs. Why would someone order two right sided anythings?? The delivery manager [over the phone] told us to refuse both the love seats, we kept the leather chairs, and said they would call us to fix it the next day. No call. Eventually got an email saying the missing chair was coming. No word on chaise or love seat. So i called them to discuss. Apparently the love seat was never reordered on their end. Find out that reordering estimate was going to be 12 weeks from scratch. When attempting to reorder from service center, find out that fabric is discontinued. She recommended calling delivery hub to see if the 2 right arm love seats could be reclaimed. Customer service starting calling their delivery center so i started talking to the store manager, Joanne. Joanne says the fabric isnt discontinued and can be ordered. Im on with service center again and they say the right handed love seats are gone. I get a voice mail from Joanne while calling. On voicemail Joanne says yes the fabric is still available and we can... [typing] uh.... [more typing]... *click. I call her back and she confirms 15 mins later that fabric IS discontinued. Joanne then offered replacement fabric type... she doesnt realize we have TWO other pieces with the same fabric en route... says they could replace all three... [probably 12 weeks late]. Of course, we have a living room with no furniture and we are expecting lots of family and guests in Sept...I considered this and asked how much could they discount this 6k order and they said cannot offer anything upfront or guarantee any delivery time or that they would be the proper items. I asked for full refund and they can pick up their two leather chairs instead and credit account. Too bad we signed up for a potterybarn credit card and paid the balance with cash. Manager says they would cut a check for the 4500 we already paid. Will keep everyone updated to see if we get the refund or if they try some other trick on us. DO NOT BUY POTTERY BARN. Do a google search: pottery barn customer service reviews. I CAME TO FIND OUT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO OTHER PEOPLE BEFORE AFTER READING OTHER REVIEWS ONLINE. Total time spent on the phone with these idiots was 4 hours

Customer service is atrocious and they advertise store-wide sales except when you got there and looked closely you realize most things are excluded from the sale and it is not easy to discern what is on sale. Staff (save one) was universally unhelpful. They felt like used car salesmen. Place is way too expensive for that kind of service.

Ordered a sleeper sofa back in 2018 October, but still didnt received it. Its been 4 months! Called many times, they dont even know where the furniture was. The customer service was so rude, they just transfer and just hang up. We have been PB costumer many years, this is the Last PB purchase. Unbelievable.

Terrible customer service, not enough staff to help people, felt very rushed in the store but had a gift card so ordered 2 bar stools. Friend warned us of their terrible delivery and customer service, but we loved the stools. Then stayed home from work to receive the delivery and they called and said it would be delivered in 45 minutes. The truck never arrived and when I called the delivery service (Potter Barn outsources delivers to MXD group) they said they never put it on the truck, had no idea why it wasnt on the truck and would not be delivering the item. Since I used time off work to stay home for the delivery this was not acceptable- when I told them this they put me on a 45 minute hold... I called store location and they said they would look into it and call me back. We ordered these back in October and still do not have them.

In the middle of a terrible experience ordering furniture from this Pottery Barn location- I ordered in-store a coffee table 5 weeks ago being told it would arrive within a week to two weeks for store pick-up. Several phone calls with various store employees later, the story has changed to 3 weeks to 4 weeks to the table being on back order. Would not recommend.

Went on a sunday, arrived before they opened and lined up at the door to purchase a bunch of stuff from our wedding registry. Was not offered much help, we were actually told to come back another time because there were few employees there. We knew everything we wanted to get ( maybe 12-15 items all in) and were there for over 2.5 hours. Worst shopping experience,ever..

I too agree that this is my least favorite Pottery Barn. The staff do not know the merchandise, are disorganized and cover for their lack of competency with rudeness. Twice I went in the store to buy their Great White dishes and silverware. On the first visit, I picked out my choices in 10 minutes and 50 minutes later the assistant was still checking stock and having the stock room bring down the wrong stuff. She couldnt keep track of my requests, confused classical with rimmed dishes. I ran out of time and came back two days later to try to purchase and it was a circus again. Same fire drill, and took one hour for them to finally order significant amount of stuff on line because they couldnt locate in the stock room, and then gave me a hard time about paying the shipping fee. Funny thing is that when I got home, one of the cups and bowls were chipped--yes, they gave me chipped stuff and Im not even bothering to return because I so loathe going back there again.

This is my least favorite Pottery Barn store due to the rude staff that works there. Since registering for my wedding there a year and a half ago until now, I really dislike going into the store because the staff is always unfriendly. I cant help but feel unwelcome there and feel that I am being judged for not fitting this upper middle class persona they would like me to be. Regardless if I go there to spend $20.00 on a candle or $2,000 on a couch this staff is super rude and condescending.

I was interested in the Talulah sofa which was prominently featured on the front cover of their flyer. Went to a store and they said Lincoln Park was the only one getti g it and it would be in the end of August. Called there today and guess what?? No sofa! Not in any store in Chicagoland area. I cannot buy a sofa without sitting on it. I asked the guy on the phone why their marketing and/or advertising department would do that and he had no answer. Not happy with Pottery Barn. Going to look at Smithe now. You lost a customer Pottery Barn!!
