Such an unassuming storefront (next to The massive Room and Board and Eatly), but surprisingly well stocked full of modern, well-made, and unique furniture and decor! I walked by and went inside on a whim and was frankly blown away. Many unique contemporary and modern pieces not found elsewhere. There is a huge basement. Decent prices for the quality. Very friendly people working there. Think well made and upscale IKEA. Was not surprised that they are a Canadian company new to Chicago. We found an awesome chair with the look and glide mechanics that I couldn’t find anywhere else at a decent (non DWR) price. Found barstools and other smaller items that fit in our more modern condo. And little items that are more... whimsical. Anyone that likes DWR, West Elm, CB2, even Room & Board, should at least give this place a look. I bet you’ll find something you like here.

After moving into a bit of an awkward space, we needed some help making it all work. We happened into the store and liked the looks of the products. We also lucked into meeting Joshua who told us about their free in-home consulting service. The whole experience there was great - we got to see fabric samples in our space and Joshua could get a sense of the space which led to a room we really enjoy. He nailed our style and the needs of the roomThe one wrinkle to get ironed out is the delivery. I think the relationship with their delivery people is new and theyre figuring the process out. The full assembly wont include wall mounting (which is required for some items), and the shippers dont seem to be given a list of items (or if theyre supposed to assemble), so some items got missed and we spent some time on the phone working things out.But, with that in the past, the furniture is comfortable and seems durable. And if ever you need replacement bits, the staff is super helpful getting the additional hardware. We liked the items so much, weve already gone back for another side table.Im glad I found the store. I really like the furniture and am extremely grateful for how gracious Joshua was throughout the process. He was definitely the difference that made it such a good experience.

Phenomenal customer service. Amazing quality. Complete transparency. This place is extremely inviting and fun. Lindsay helped me tremendously and tailored her suggestions to guide me towards something I was happy with. I visited all of the trendy stores in the city and this was the one where both customer service and quality met my expectations.

Our experience at EQ3 was incredible. We visited the store multiple times looking for the perfect furniture for our new home. We were always approached by friendly staff willing to help find the perfect items for us. They asked us important questions about our new home to help determine what made sense for our space and worked with us to make items our own. They went above and beyond to help us place an order for a couch that was exactly what we were looking for and that we couldnt find anywhere else. I would HIGHLY recommend visiting EQ3 for anything home related. They have the best staff and their styles are classic, simply stated, and made with quality. We worked with Gabriel and Zach and will definitely be back to visit the store again soon.

The store is nice - very clean and airy atmosphere. They have a wide range of furniture and household items, it was fun to browse around. The staff was very helpful and friendly! I bought two linen pillowcases and love them. I will definitely go back!

Great design, good prices, and really friendly and helpful staff. I stopped in a few weeks ago on their second day open and was surprised at how cool it was. Definitely check it out if you’re in River North or looking for reasonably priced high quality furniture.

My wife and I had been in store last week and noticed a table. went home to researched it. they honored a splash sale the had over the weekend. since we were in store weve seen this same table priced differently 3 times and we went direct to store in our neighborhood and got the best deal for Lizzy. we would highly recommend the EQ3 store on Ohio Street in Chicago

I am very excited about this new furniture store here in Chicago. The store is beautiful. They actually have the items in store so you can see and try them. Rather then showing you them on an iPad. They have wonderful fabrics as well. Joshua helped us with our new bed. He was knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I can’t wait to get my bed and buy more things in the future.

Great furniture design if you are looking for clean, simple pieces on a smaller scale for a city apartment. I was surprised to find out they offer some Designer collections not in the store but also have affordable price points.Staff was friendly and not pushy.

The furniture looks great with a very mid century vibe and very well priced. The item we needed to assemble was very easy to put together.I would highly recommend paying them a visit.

We bought a significant amount of furniture from EQ3 after visiting their store, but carried out the transaction over the phone. We had many questions and several changes in and additions to our order as the interaction progressed. Our salesperson was patient, helpful, and well-informed. If there was something he didn’t know he took the time to find out and give us the correct information. His excellent service made this complicated purchase an entirely positive experience.

Casual elegant furniture and home accessories. Minimalism, nice neutrals, MCM/Danish influences. Everything looks well made, some stuff here is surprisingly affordable. They carry some major designer brands like Marimekko and Vitra, and a lot of unique stuff you wont find anywhere else. Also a lot of pots, vessels, and containers for plant lovers. Pricing range is similar to Room and Board next door, but its a much more pleasant store with fun gifts too.

I love their look - the modern, almost minimalist appeal is there. I think their sales people are very welcoming as well

The design consultant Michelle was extremely helpful in providing the product knowledge of EQ3s extensive range of furniture, home accessories and rugs. She showed my husband and I the difference between various leather grades, and helped place an order of several custom made pieces. Michelle made the process of choosing furniture easy and enjoyable. I fell for EQ3s functional and clean product forms. As a bonus, on the lower level of EQ3s store there are sections for Finnish design brands Vitra, Artek and Marimekko.

A nice option to the other furniture store next door. Sales staff were knowledgeable and friendly (we worked with Lindsay). We ordered a swivel arm chair and two ottomans, each piece in leather. Everyone takes the time to walk you through fabric and leather options all while explaining their respective pros and cons. My only gripe is they allow customers with dogs in the store. I actually saw one woman take down half a dozen pillows so her dog could try them out. As someone who is allergic to dogs, this is always disturbing to see.
