Affordable Portables has exemplary customer service which is why I buy all my new furniture from them! I moved to Chicago a little over 5 years ago and I have been buying furniture (3 mattresses, a beautiful winged chair, and a lovely convertible sectional couch) from them ever since.You should buy local. And you should definitely buy from Affordable Portables.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I got my first couch here. My sleeper sofa is soft and good quality for the price. Definitely fair prices! I went to other stores prior, and the selling prices at other places for an average couch were way overpriced.

Affordable Portables was a savior in a time of need. I had to move unexpectedly and my current couch wasn’t going to fit into my new place. I started couch shopping and almost every retailer wouldn’t be able to deliver a couch for at least 3 months, some not for 6 months, because of production delays.I live in the neighborhood and have walked by this place a million times but decided to stop in as a last resort. I found not one, but two couches I loved that I had to pick from! They were both immediately available and were a great price and honestly the most stylish and comfortable couches I had come across in my search. The entire team at the store was extremely accommodating and helpful, even when I had an issue getting a refund to process on my card.I loved working with them so much, I also purchased a desk from them as well and will likely be back again in the future. So happy I stopped in this neighborhood spot and was able to support a local business!!

Best furniture store around. Cant beat the variety, price point, and customer experience. Made me feel like family, and held my hand every step of the way. Buying furniture, with all the coordinating and lugging, its a hassle. These folks instantly make you feel comfortable with the whole process.Special credit to Barry, a real mensch (Yiddish term for good guy or man of the community/people).

I got such a lovely sofa here. Im a kind of person who has to see in person before buying furniture, so this place was great for me. I didnt also have to worry about assembling, and the delivery fee wasnt too high either. Id definitely go back and get more!

Best customer experience ever. I ordered a couch from Ashley home store and it was the worst experience ever. I ordered a couch from here after the debacle with Ashley home store and it was the complete opposite. The staff was friendly and there was actually communication as to when they would be delivering the couch. They ended up delivering my couch within 24 hours of me ordering it. AMAZING

The staff are very helpful. They don’t have a lot of stuff in the store but you can always order and come and pick them up. I strongly believe that we should support local businesses/stores and it is one of them.

Wonderful furniture, reasonably priced and sized for a high rise. Delivery on time with excellent customer service. For a small fee, they will assemble your furniture. They also deliver all over the Chicago area. I highly recommend them.

This company is very unprofessional. We complained about the services not being maintained properly.So without notice,they came and took the unit off our lot.We have 1 more month to go.BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

Had the best experience at Affordable Portables. I just moved here from Michigan and my roommate and I needed a new couch, so we went to affordable portables to search. Right when my mom and I walked in we were greeted and assisted. The woman who assisted us was SO NICE. So, so helpful. We found an amazing couch and headboard, delivered by a very nice man who quickly and efficiently set it up where we wanted it. Two days after we got the couch, my roommates dog ripped one of the cushions. When we called affordable portables for guidance on where and how we can get the cushion replaced, the woman we spoke with on the phone told us if we came in with the cushion she has an extra one we can replace it with!!! It was the nicest and most helpful thing I’ve ever experienced with a store. If you need a great place to purchase furniture, affordable portables is where it’s at!!!!

Got a couch, coffee table, dresser, and desk. All for a great price. The employees were very helpful and friendly. The delivery guys were great too, got everything all set up where I wanted it and were on time.

Sales staff was kind of pushy, kept trying to convince us to buy something more expensive. The bathroom literally looked like a toilet stuck in a room with bare studs. The prices were kind of high for a place called Affordable.

NEVER AGAIN! I bought a small Bistro table which was assembled for me and delivered.Two months later, it is wobbling, spinning, tipping and is very LOOSE.I have tried tightening it and adjusting it several times. I cant even set a cup of coffee on it without being afraid.

Always walked past this store, and never thought to go in but one day while walking to trader joes, I remembered I was in the market for a couch and figured Id take a look. The prices were surprisingly affordable with friendly sales people and free candy, literally so much candy. Delivery was quick, kind and efficient. Will definitely be coming back to this store in the future.

Affordable Portables provides basic furniture pieces at great prices. Theres nothing very high end, but they are great items for a first apartment. I purchased a couch and a kitchen table, both of which are holding up very well and were much cheaper than if I bought something of a similar quality elsewhere!

We needed new bookshelf and Affordable Portables have such a wonderful selection. We decided on the backless bookcases. They add such a great effect to our living room and our books look excellent on them. We love the quality and the price!

Took a month to get the futon I wanted. They said they could get it by a specific weekend. Ended up getting it the week after I wanted and not even an apology. Disappointed in that. However got it the week after and do like the futon very much. The delivery and set up crew were very friendly and fast.

Bought a couch and matching chair that were supposed to be gray. When they arrived, they were obviously blue (even their delivery men agreed). We have yet to meet someone that said this was gray. The store that this is in fact gray and that we could get store credit only to return it. We decided to keep it. Fast forward 1 week and this is the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I have ever sat on. I bring my kitchen chair over to watch tv now.I have no idea what made me like it in the store. I guess its a buyer beware world. Oh well. Only wasted a thousand bucks.

Frustrating. Bought a new dresser, had to pick it up myself due to low delivery capacity, and it broke within a couple of weeks of purchase...all for a piece of furniture that cost $300. Not worth it. Avoid.

The next day after buying a sectional couch the corner seat sunk in. THE NEXT DAY. Would not recommend buying furniture at this place.
