I’ve been coming here for a few years now, being referred by a good friend. They’re honest and extremely helpful, going above and beyond. Today I brought my car in for a general inspection before embarking on a long road trip. I had my brakes redone and had the belt adjusted. Since he didn’t initially hear the issue with the belt (the engine was still hot when I brought it in) he hadn’t told me about the needed adjustment and therefore didn’t charge me for it. This isn’t the first time that they’ve taken care of an extra repair. They’re such a great team, I’ve recommended them to a few friends already!!

They we’re incredibly kind and caring. They made sure to get us exactly what we needed for a car. We spoke to them over the phone and they explained everything before we even got to the shop. As soon as we got there they remembered who we were and were able to get us in and out quickly. I Felt heard and understood. They did not make me feel dumb despite my lack of knowledge of cars.

The price I was quoted was the price I paid, I went in for a rotor and brake pad replacement and the turnaround on the car was extremely quick. Ill be coming back for more work, the replacement parts are a little pricier and Im not sure if you can bring your own. But it was all worth it.

Mr. Francisco is very nice and honest.Toyota wanted to charge me almost 2,000 in un needed repairs but I decided to get a second opinion and took it to Teloloapan Muffler and I am so happy I did. They where so nice and helpful! Patient with all the questions I had. I was waiting on my tow truck to arrive and I was basically stranded and my phone was dying. They where nice enough to let me wait inside and use one of their phone chargers. They also offered me water and pop. They where just so awesome! Good service with affordable prices

I had to get my oil change and the people at jiffy lube told me my head gasket was blown and that they couldnt do the service due to the oil and coolant would mix. I asked around different shops to see if they could take a look at it and most of them said I would need a completely new head gasket which would have cost me $4k. I went to this shop and Francisco was straight forward with me in fixing the problem. He added some oil to see if there would actually be a mixing after driving it for a couple days but there wasnt. I didnt have to wait long for my vehicle to be seen and they saved me $4k. I highly recommend this place for all your auto needs. Their whole team is so helpful and friendly. I will be back on Saturday for an oil change and any future services. Thank you so much Francisco!

Great Service! I needed some exhaust work done on my car. No one closer to me could get it done before closing. I pulled in an hour before they closed with no notice and they had me in and out within 30 minutes of arriving. Francisco is by far one of the most knowledgeable and professional mechanic I have ever met! And most of all, he is honest! I brought my car in because the rear of my car was making a really loud noise when I drove it. He diagnosed my car and told me everything was wrong with it and even showed me after he lifted up the car. in addition, His prices were really reasonable.He fixed my car in a timely manner and showed me all the old parts that he replaced. Everything was installed professionally. He took the time to explain everything to me and I really appreciated that.Renee and the other lady at the front office listened to my concerns and was really pleasant to talk to as well. We took our car here for a problem with the electrical system in our car. Teloloapan was able to pinpoint the problem was with our OnStar module. Since thats dealer territory they did not work on the car, but waived a good portion of the diagnostic fee which we were a little nervous about. Very fair, professional, and knowledgeable. Came in for an oil change. They were able to get me in right away. All pricing information was upfront and itemized. There were no surprises.While changing the oil, Fransisco showed me a spot that needed some work, but also told me what to listen for if I didnt get it fixed some day.They are honest and informative about what is going on with your vehicle. They did excellent work on replacing my Cadillac converter and helping me to pass the vehicle emissions test. They also showed courtesy and excellent customer service. I went to pep boys because my car wasn’t breaking the right way, and they wanted to charge me 600 dollars for worn pedals and routers. Well, when I came here they assured me that my pedals and routers were in good condition and didn’t try to take advantage of me like so many other mechanics! They didn’t charge me a dollar for checking my car and turns out it just needed to be bled. Very humble, the only payment I needed to give was a review. This was months ago, and it had completely slipped my mind until I passed it again, today. This review was long overdue!

Was recommended to try them out from a friend. Brought my car in and they immediately diagnosed the problem(which I could not figure out after a few hours). They kept it overnight to fix it and got a call first thing the next morning telling me what the exact problem was, how much it will cost, and when I can pick it up. Very reasonably priced especially for the quality of work and the amount of diagnostics that went into it. I will be going to Teloloapan for as long as Im in Chicago from now on.

Awesome repair shop! Took my car in because I couldnt figure out why it was sounding funny. The manager and his son ran tests and kept it over night and in the morning said was working fine. Everyone at Teloloapan was incredibly friendly and helpful, they have inspected my car twice now, gratis, and was very patient in explaining the repairs that would need to be done. I recently went to Teloloapan Muffler & Brake Service Inc. Located at 2100 .S. Ashland and had some work done on my headlights of my car & they did a quick and efficient job of replacing my headlights .l also went to them about 2 weeks ago because my front tire was shaking and making a lot of noise they ended up telling me that the lugs on the tire had become very loose ! They could have told me something different just to make money . I appreciate the honesty and good service and would highly recommend them !

These guys are the best. I needed my front shocks replaced and a new exhaust pipe. They let me drop it off after hours, were very communicative over the phone, walked me through what we needed to do, and GOT IT DONE! Before I took my car in, it was making weird noises and lurching through turns, now it runs like new!They were really fairly priced, worked quickly, and very polite. I highly recommend.

Great shop with great people. Came in on a Saturday morning to get my exhaust fixed. They got it done in 40min but by looking at their work you would have thought it took them 3 hours.Very nice and very caring staff. FINALLY I FOUND A GOOD MECHENIC. I’ve a land cruiser and I’m OCD about my car’s maintenance. I’ve used king autos in south loop and west loop, been to Car Care (Goodyear tires) and the Toyota dealership, but this place knows what they are doing. They are true to their promise, prices are high in some cases, so I would suggest bringing your own parts but the labor is worth every single dime and penny. I’ve got a permanent workshop now. Thanks to everyone working here.

I pulled in without an appointment and was seen immediately. Someone tried to steal my catalytic converter, they also noticed my right ball bearing was damaged. Telolapan Muffler and Brakes, was a great experience. I went in for an emissions light service. Not only did they find a solution to fix it at a reasonable price but Francisco explained everything in detail. Also shared other details that my car needs, from major to minor. My muffler had had an air leak for a while now. I didn’t know which repair shop to turn to. I noticed Teloloapan Muffler and Brake II on Ashland and 21st street and I decided to check it out. As I explained my problem, the staff were friendly and attentive to my concerns. They checked out my muffler. I knew they were knowledgeable about needed to be done so I let them do their job. I waited in a nice comfortable waiting area with chairs, AC, and a TV. After the job was done, I was able to inspect my newly repaired muffler and was satisfied with the job. Had a great experience taking my car here! I was out of windshield fluid, and on top of that my hood was sealed close no matter how hard I tried to open it. I took my car in to Teloloapan and within 15 minutes the hood was opened, windshield fluid was replaced, and oil was checked. The staff here is SO helpful and friendly - definitely went above and beyond in fixing my car and educating me about how to prevent the problem in the future. Will definitely be taking my car here for all my maintenance needs in the future!

I have a 2007 Toyota FJ that needed a new exhaust, from catalytic converters (both) to the tail pipe. I brought it in on July 8 around 10am and they had the work done by 3:30 pm the same day! When I showed up to get my vehicle, Francisco put it up on the lift to show me the newly installed parts and the rusted out old parts that were replaced. Their prices are very fair and reasonable and the workmanship was great as well. Im very happy I found this place, having an honest, fair mechanic that does good work is great peace of mind.
