Pete is fantastic solid and amazing mechanic in every respect, cant recommend this place enough. Been going to him for better part of 20 years. Always puts the best interest of his customers first, long ago he helped keep my first car going via cheap fixes rather then expensive repairs that would have been a waste.

My car was making scraping noises when I turned the wheel. I didnt feel safe driving it like that, so I drove in to Rosemont repair shop. After only a few minutes, Pete was able to look at the car and said I could leave it. He called me only 2 hours later to let me know it was ready to be picked up. I was surprised by how reasonable the bill was. Im making Petes shop my one and only place to bring my car.

$150 for an oil change for our Honda Fit. No joke. We thought he fixed something else we asked about so didnt question the price until we got home and realized, nope, just the oil change. We have never paid over $60, even at a high quality specialty auto body shop. Owner changed filters without asking us, plus they did not need to be changed (they wouldve appeared clean as we just had them changed a few months ago). They also charged $70 for 30 min of labor. The owner said no refunds as he has a lot of rent to pay and he doesnt use Mickey Mouse filters but buys them from Honda. Heres another kicker - he used the WRONG OIL for our Honda. Our mechanic now says the engine needs to be flushed. As Rosemont was non responsive to our request for a refund, Ill be filing a BBB complaint and a Consumer Complaint form with the IL Attorney General. It wouldve been easier if they just agreed to a refund or at least a fair price and apology.

Best mechanic Ive ever met. Hell really take time to help you understand what your car needs and doesnt need. Its a small operation so try and make an appointment. Its well worth the wait.
