Took my car in bc I thought my muffler was bad, spoke with Kevin the owner he said it may be a broken pipe, which it was. It was repaired for what seem like a reasonable price. I was in at 4 and out by 530. Work appears to be good, they showed me what was wrong and showed me what they did after it was repaired. I was satisfied. The place is small and his office is not suitable for waiting.

I was happy with my repair because I passed the emissions test after having failed. Ì was unhappy with the price because I was over charged by $25. He added a $25 shop supplies fee without informing me.

The owner, Kevin, BAITS you with $90 TRICK. Themechanic worked on my car at 8PM, standing on a MILK CRATE, in the dark, and admitted to me, he may have made a mistake.The first day after arriving about 11AM, I didnt leave until 8:30 PM and the codes werent cleared from the problem. Next day they cleared the codes, after driving a short distance the code reappears. I show up MONDAY and wait 12 hours for them to fix my car, they told me to come back at 8AM and the mechanic at the most could spend 30 minutes. The mechanic arrived at 8:30 and said I needed an new engine without doing any tests.

I have an old car so Ive dealt with several car care centers. Meineke on 107th & Western is the best by far. The manager Kevin maintains a professional, caring environment at all times. This is a great car care center that cares about their customers. They ensure your car is repaired and safe before it is released. They actually take pride in their overall service. This was the second time Ive brought my car here. I told the manager Kevin that I love them and this is the only place I will bring my car.

Unfortunately, because I dont know much about car things, Ive had my share of costly car service mistakes.Found myself stranded with a bad tire. Kevin and his team went above and beyond. They swung by my house to air up the tire, repaired the tire, and even took the time to identify a dead headlight bulb.Kevin was very knowledgeable and made me feel that he and his team were really looking out for my safety. Even trying to resolve it with corporate, will do nothing and the people that monitor this review are just going to say give us a call and do nothing so no matter what you will not be satisfied you will lose your money and thats it but Im calling the Better Business Bureau also. That place needs to be shut down. Corporate doesnt even call you back

After going thru emissions, I needed an O2 sensor replaced. Not only did they take care of it, but since it was my 2nd failure, they took it thru emissions. Passed, now Im good to go. Thank you Kevin and the crew.👍

I’ve done business with Kevin @ Meineke on S. Western Ave in Chicago for many years. He has kept my vehicles going whether it’s emissions issues, brakes, exhaust, a/c, electrical. Treats me fair and honest.

This was a nightmare! Firstly, the experience started out great after I called in I was assured they had room for my truck and would perform the repair I need for cheaper than the previous shop. However, once I got the truck towed over Kevin, the manager refused to work on my truck. He delayed even looking at it for a week. Then once he did look at it he assessed it needed more than the repair I wanted. I declined and simply asked for the requested repair to be performed. At this point Kevin got extremely unprofessional and said he refused to work on the truck unless he could take a full look at the truck and that’d start at $400 ! Like what ? I was quoted for a $700 repair that I never got! Instead I was stuck with two tow fees as the job was never performed. Again the mechanic I worked with was Kevin.

Kevin and his guys have saved us thousands of dollars over the years. I wont go anywhere else. We live way out in Frankfort now, but we still only take our vehicles here because Kevin is the most honest, hard-working mechanic/shop owner Ive ever met. He has charged me, on average, about half what most places would quote you for the same work. I never write reviews, but Kevin and his guys are exceptional. I go in for a wheel alignment and a tune up because I had a p301 error and a p660 error so Kevin great guy can’t stress that enough absolutely the best tells me my car will be ready tomorrow. I get there and all seems well until I drive about 2 miles now I have error 0420 appearing out of no where and before I brought it to the shop I had no such issues it def sounds like a setup to me

I really hate to do this and Kevin is the only reason why I have 1 star. Otherwise, none. So I dropped my car off on Monday for a wheel alignment. Now long story short this is not my 1st time at this shop and always positive things to say about Kevin and the staff. But this time was different. So Monday drop my car off, I get a call today and Kevin tells me that my car will be ready at 7. Cool. Now I’m not tripping about the length of time because I know with COVID and places are now starting to open up there is a wait. Plus my car was in some pretty bad shape 😫 but anyway I get there and my car is sitting in the exact same space that I parked on MONDAY!!!!!!!! Once I get there Kevin tells me an hour and it will be ready. Honestly I think Kevin needs a better staff. There were 6 people still waiting for their cars at 7. They are suppose to be closed at 7. I like Kevin but I think something needs to be done about this. I will not be back. And he stated that he is going on vacation on Monday. SMDH

I came to know of Kevin of Meineke last year from a friend who’s used his services for years. This was my second visit and I am just as satisfied with his staff’s work, their honesty and exemplary service, as I was the first encounter. Both times, Toyota in Oak Lawn improperly did something wrong. Kevin and his staff uncovered what was really wrong and fixed the problems with my brakes the first time and this time a simple tire fix. I was told my tire was not repairable, hence I needed a new tire. I refused to buy it and said I would shop around. All my tires were only 1 year old. Long story short, Kevin and his staff repaired it and stated the nail was not in an unrepairable area, as I was told.Kevin could have sold me a tire, but he didn’t. HONESTY is his BEST POLICY. I will no longer go to Oak Lawn Toyota again.

I had been having recurring problems with the low batterys warning indicator light in my 2015 Dogde Journey. My dealers service department was unable to detected the problem. They worked on a honda accord i had and did good work but my last experience was terrible took it for a busted radiator and left with transmission fluid leaking from my car the said i was the trans lines got them replaced at a different shop still was leaking after about a month of going back and forward finally found out the radiator was bad by the time i left drove a few days transmission went out went in for one thing ended up needing a new transmission

This repair shop always comes in less than the dealer and and leaves you with a feeling of an honest conversation about whether or not it is a repair that they can handle and if the repair is an immediate need. I have 3 vehicles that I take there.

I took my 10 year old Hyundai which has 112000 plus miles in it to have some front end work done. They told me what the problem was, gave me a price and stayed late to make sure I got my car back the same day!! I assumed they were closed and when they called me to pick the car up I wasn’t home so I couldn’t pick it up and had to wait until Monday. It was nice of them to stay late to make sure it was done the same day. I wish I had known because I would have better planned so I could have had it picked up. That was the only issue, which wasn’t really an issue. My husband picked the car up on Monday and said it drives like a new car!!! I haven’t driven it yet but can’t wait to drive it!!
