My car, while not very old, has always had issues with emission testing. If I ever have a battery issue, the computer never seems to be ready for testing resulting in a failure. Everywhere else I went told me to drive for 100+ miles, which did nothing. I dropped it off at High Point and a few days later, not only did it pass the emissions test, they actually got the car tested and helped replace my fluids! Everyone was very knowledgeable, polite, and patient. I would highly recommend their services!

Frank and the crew were quick, professional, and fair when it came to fixing my truck. The clutch went out in my Dodge Dakota and they even saved the broken parts to show me, Unrequested! They explained everything step by step and gives discounts is you pay cash.

For anybody that moves to a new city, it can be extremely difficult to find a decent, fair, and honest mechanic. I was lucky in that I found a shop that meets all three. Ive been going to these guys for 2 years now, and every experience is better than the last. I recommend these guys to anybody. They are competent, fair in their pricing, and are willing to work with you. They also do a good job fast. Car is always ready in a day or two, depending on the repair.Side note, saw some bad reviews that these guys had an attitude. Not once have I had this experience.

When I had my bumper replaced last year, High Point was honest and on top of the other guys shady insurance company. They really came through in a rough time. For a smaller recent repair, they were super-quick and took really good care of me and the car!

Quick, friendly and no BS. Just found my new mechanic. Had my catalytic converter stolen and was given 3 options in a couple hours after dropping it off. Work was done by the next day and has a 5 year warranty.

I’ve had outstanding service both times I’ve brought my car here. Fred was particularly awesome-he was thorough and kind when explaining the work It needed. He gave clear advice on how to maintain my high mileage car. He even kept the shop open late to finish it on time so I could pick it up before going out of town. The shock tower in the rear wheel well had completely rusted out so that the shock was attached to nothing. The crew at High Point installed the new part plus addl metal, coated everything and had me back on the road in a very reasonable amount of time. I was impressed with their professionalism, honesty and use of technology in their communications with me.

Great Service. High Point was suggested by another small family owed Auto Service Shop. This was my first time here at High Point. The person behind the front counter, I think was the owner, was kind and easy to talk to. I brought my truck in there to get worked on and they were completed the same day. It was a small job and no parts needed but I did need to leave it there.When returning to pick-up the truck, the mechanic working on my talked to me himself about the job and also kind and easy to talk to including informative about what he did to my truck.Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would go back again.

I was involved in a car accident on a Friday, I dropped off my car with Fred there at High Point Auto Service on Monday 8/17 later that week I got texts from Rob on Wednesday saying my car would possible be ready Friday 8/21. I got videos and pictures sent to my phone about the progress off my car and Thursday 8/20 I get a text from Rob stating that the body parts arrived sooner than expected and that I was able to pick up my car Thursday instead of waiting until Friday! Honestly I was so excited and skeptical 🤨 I had to read reviews on here as well.. Trusted my intuition 😝. The person who hit my car has not very good insurance but the process was sooo fast I’m still in shock as of today actually!! Thank you very much guys 😝 y’all snapped!! I have had two of my cars worked on this month, one was body work, and the other was fixing the window motor on my bmw. Both jobs were done perfectly. Robert and his team are honest, fair and do a terrific job.

Ive been taking my vehicle to High Point for two years, and they are awesome. Efficient, quality work for a good price, and they are super friendly, dependable, transparent, helpful. Best shop in the neighborhood, hands down!

If I would give six stars I would! Robert and Fred are incredibly upfront, honest, and fair. Had some bad luck and had to get a few jobs done in a row, they did everything they could to make sure I got the best service without breaking the bank. The only bad reviews for High Point reference uhaul rentals, and this is not something that they do anymore, so the amazing reviews are to be believed!

Go see Robert. Seriously.Had a minor break issue and was told by other mechanics on that stretch of Clark the repair would be over $1000.We dropped it off at noon and had it back on the road by 6pm. He sent us video documentation of the damage and the repairs done, before and after! And the pricing was beyond fair, easily the best mechanic on that stretch of Clark Street.

Great experience with High Point! I had bumper and grill damage from an accident that insurance covered. Fred was really helpful with walking me through the work needed, and he was patient even with the insurance companys slow process. Definitely recommend

Oh man these guys are great! They help us with our car. Our car rusty really was on his last legs and we were only coming in to fix rusty little by little. But the owner, manger and worker all showed me and my partner how serious and unsafe our car is at the moment. They said they can fix what we need fix but they were really worried for our safety. We explained we had a tight budget, but they said then will work with me. Overall they fix my rusty and he is runny like a brand new car. I will be referring all my friends and family to these guys. I have used plenty of places and they all wanted to really over charge me .i guarantee that these guy truly want the best for all their clients. Thank you guys for all you do!

I go to Fred for a lot of work--hes essentially rebuilt my 4Runner at this point--and Im consistently pleased with the quality of work, his transparency, and his willingness to do whatever he can to help me out. Its a nightmare to try and find a good mechanic. Enthusiastically, I recommend these guys.

Great experience here! took my car here after an accident were the other driver was at fault and their insurance company covered the cost, so the guys at High Point gave me a rental car and handled most of the communication with the insurance company. Plus my car now looks great

Do not rent a U-HAUL or provide any sort of business to this place. I have never been provided worse customer experience in my life. I walked in for my reservation and he looked at me, while on the phone, and said no. After debating the circumstances and options with him, all of which were the fault of High Point, we decided to move forward. After wasting my time and manufacturing stress, he then decided to publicly berate me for not looking happy about the outcome of experience. Never in my life have I experienced such a lack of regard for the customer.I would have given zero stars but that is not an option.

I had an urgent problem with the electrical wiring installed (by someone else) in my SUV, for towing. Fred got my GMC in mid-afternoon the same day I called him, and told me up front it would probably not be done until the next morning around 11:00. At 5:30 he called me to let me know that he was sending out for the part, would have it that evening and finish the next day. Sure enough, 11:00 the next morning the car was done. He showed me exactly what he did, and explained why the problem occurred in the first place. The price charged was about what he estimated, and was fair. Overall a very good experience with this business!

This only place I can trust. Their recommendations are always honest and services top notch.

DO NOT GET A UHAUL HERE.I reserved a Uhaul truck and tow dolly over a month in advance. Confirmed, reserved, all good. It was super convenient because I lived just a couple blocks from here. I scheduled it for early in the morning and planned my whole intense move day after that.Then, literally the NIGHT BEFORE the reservation date, they impersonally notified me that they had moved my reservation to the evening, and changed the pick-up location to a store in another city entirely.What???Turns out they NEVER had the kind of truck I had reserved and moved me to some other random store that did. Then why give me the option to reserve it in the first place? Why confirm it? They did nothing but flat out lie to me and then did nothing to make it right.This is a terrible, terrible business that I hope goes out of business soon. Avoid at all costs.

High Point Auto does some Uhaul rental too. I rented a one-way truck and faced some confusion about the contract. Fred was very helpful and accommodating and I look forward to the opportunity to work with him again.

Fred and his crew did excellent work on my vehicle, taking care of some long standing rust and newly created (oops) damage to the doors and rocker panels. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of body work.

Do not rent a moving truck/van from these fools.Got screwed out of $45 and an hour & a half of my moving day.

Terrible experience, representatives were rude, they cut our time short by 2 hours with next to no notice, then acted as if it was our fault. one of the worst experiences Ive ever had with any type of business ever. I suggest going anywhere else for your rental needs.
